Netanyahu Heads To White House To Be First Foreign Leader Hosted By Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boarded a flight to Washington, D.C., on Sunday ahead of his meeting with President Donald Trump on Tuesday. Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader hosted at the White House under Trump’s second administration. Ahead of his departure, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of the meeting and outlined the issues to discuss, including defeating Hamas, releasing all hostages, and dealing with Iran and its proxies. “I’m leaving for a very important meeting with President Trump in Washington,” the leader of the Jewish state told reporters. “The fact that this would be President Trump’s first meeting with a foreign leader since his inauguration is telling.” Netanyahu called the honor of him being the first invited a “a testimony to the strength of the Israeli-American alliance” and a “testimony to the strength of our personal friendship.” I’m leaving for a very important meeting with @realDonaldTrump in Washington. The fact that this would be President Trump’s first meeting with a foreign leader since his inauguration is telling. I think it’s a testimony to the strength of the Israeli-American alliance. Upon taking office, Trump reversed the Biden administration’s hold on 2,000-pound bombs being delivered to Israel. Netanyahu also touted the accomplishments Israel and the U.S. had under the former Trump administration, including the Abraham Accords. “That friendship and that cooperation has already yielded important results for Israel and the Middle East, including the historic Abraham Accords that President Trump led and which brought four historic peace treaties between Israel and its Arab neighbors,” he said. Netanyahu added that while Israel and the Israel Defense Forces successfully weakened their enemies in the Middle East and “redrawn the map,” he believes that with the Trump administration, they can “redraw it even further and for the better.” “I believe that we can strengthen security, broaden the circle of peace and achieve a remarkable era of peace through strength,” Netanyahu added. Netanyahu’s visit comes as Trump works to negotiate the release of all hostages held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. So far, 13 of the 33 hostages slated to be released under the first phase of the deal have been freed, including U.S. citizen Keith Siegel. Seven more Americans are still held hostage. An additional 5 Thai hostages were released under a separate agreement. In Trump’s invitation letter, he said he was “looking forward to discussing how we can bring peace to Israel and its neighbors, and efforts to counter our shared adversaries.” “It will be my honor to host you as my first foreign leader during my second term,” Trump added. The United Kingdom’s former prime minister, Theresa May, was the first to visit Trump at the White House during his first term.

Complete List Of Billie Eilish Songs From A to Z

A teenager who recorded a song in her bedroom and changed the landscape of modern pop forever—Billie Eilish defied the industry’s expectations before she even turned eighteen. Born in Los Angeles on December 18, 2001, she grew up in a household immersed in creativity, where music, performance, and self-expression were second nature. While many artists grind through years of industry setbacks, Eilish’s breakthrough came in the most unconventional way: a song uploaded to SoundCloud that took off like wildfire. In 2015, her brother, Finneas O’Connell, wrote “Ocean Eyes” for his band but quickly realized it was better suited for Billie’s The post Complete List Of Billie Eilish Songs From A to Z appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Cats With Arthritis Are Wearing Caps in Groundbreaking Research to Understand and Relieve Their Pain

Cats are wearing hats for science—as researchers use brain scans to understand pain in arthritic felines, and find a way to soothe it. It’s a world first for veterinary scientists at the University of Montreal (UdeM): they found a way to scan the brains of cats while they’re still awake, using electrodes concealed under specially-knitted […] The post Cats With Arthritis Are Wearing Caps in Groundbreaking Research to Understand and Relieve Their Pain appeared first on Good News Network.

The Chainsaw President!

Finally, a real libertarian is president. That’s in Argentina, where last year, Javier Milei surprised pundits by winning the election by a landslide. Now that he’s had a chance to govern, my new video covers the results and explains why Milei is now even more popular. Argentina was once one of the richest countries in the world. Then, years of big government brought high inflation and poverty. By last year, Argentina was one of the poorest and least free countries in the world. Then Milei, an economist, ran for office, saying things like, “The state is not the solution. The state is the problem!” The media called him “radical” and “far-right.” Why? Milei is OK with sex work and gay marriage (he says marriage should be a private contract—none of the government’s business). He even says people should have the right to choose their own gender. That isn’t “far-right.” Milei’s a libertarian. He mainly wants government to do less. “Argentina had been infected with socialism for far too long … ” he said at this year’s World Economic Forum. “With us, it would once again embrace the ideas of freedom—a model that we summarize as the defense of life, liberty and private property.” He’d campaigned holding a chainsaw to illustrate how much government needed to be cut. I think he stole that idea from my videos! He points out that government has no money of its own, so whatever it spends, it takes from you. To the surprise of “experts,” Milei won. Actually, he won by a landslide. Then, pundits declared that he would fail. A BBC report pointed out that Milei’s “predecessors have tried and failed to turn the economy around.” The reporter confidently concluded, “Milei will be no exception.” Milei “is pushing a disastrous old agenda,” agreed a Washington Post columnist. “Economists warn electing far-right Milei would spell ‘devastation,’” said reporters at The Guardian, adding, “More than 100 economists” warn that Milei’s free-market policies are “potentially very harmful … likely to cause more devastation.” But they didn’t! They’ve succeeded. “When Milei came into power,” says Ian Vasquez, vice president for international studies at the Cato Institute, “there was 40% poverty rate … annual inflation of over 200%.” Just one year later, “Inflation is down. The economy started to recover in the second part of last year, way before what most people expected.” Monthly inflation at the start of his presidency was about 25%. Last month, prices rose 2.7%—still too much, but way down. Inflation fell because Milei’s government spent less. “Milei got rid of nine ministries. He cut government spending by 30%!” says Vasquez. “Milei is showing that his libertarian policies are working.” Milei shut down 200 state entities and government offices. He fired thousands of bureaucrats. He cut subsidies for energy, transportation and gasoline. “Two deregulations per day,” notes Vasquez. Yet he’s more popular than ever. Now Argentina has a budget surplus. I wish America’s politicians would pay attention to Milei’s free-market reforms. Argentina’s rent controls had caused a shortage of apartments. “When Milei lifted rent controls,” says Vasquez, “the supply of apartments in Argentina tripled and their price fell by about half!” He also deregulated airlines, allowing new routes, pricing, and competition. Argentina still has big problems, like lots of poverty. Argentina’s tariffs, import bureaucracy, and high sales taxes make consumer goods expensive; an $800 iPhone costs almost $3,000 there. “Argentina still has a long way to go,” says Vasquez, “that’s why Milei recently said, what’s coming is the ‘deep chainsaw.’” Can we get a deep chainsaw in the United States? Our government keeps spending more than it takes in. We’re on a path to bankruptcy. It’s why I hope Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency will make Milei-style cuts in the United States. Musk has noticed what Milei did, saying, “He’s making all the right moves.” Milei’s success not only shows that cuts are possible, but that when they are explained intelligently, they are popular. After Milei cut government, his approval rating rose six points. Freedom works! COPYRIGHT 2025 BY JFS PRODUCTIONS INC. We publish a variety of perspectives. It took only seconds: How JD Vance exposed the convenient theology of progressive Christians

Vice President JD Vance is effortlessly exposing the double standard that progressive Christians use when critiquing American leaders. It began with a Fox News interview in which Vance, a committed Catholic, told Sean Hannity about an "old-school, very Christian concept" while discussing immigration. "You love your family, then you love your neighbor, then you love your community, then you love your fellow citizens in your own country, and then after that, you can focus and prioritize the rest of the world," Vance explained. "A lot of the far left has completely inverted that. They seem to hate the citizens of their own country and care more about people outside their own borders. That is no way to run a society." JD VANCE: There is a Christian concept that you love your family and then you love your neighbor, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens, and then after that, prioritize the rest of the world\n\nA lot of the far left has completely inverted that — (@) It's true. Throughout history, Christians have taught and re-enforced the moral proximity principle — otherwise known as ordo amoris — that Vance articulated. Augustine wrote about it. Thomas Aquinas extrapolated it. Protestant theologians like John Calvin and Herman Bavinck taught it. Even C.S. Lewis wrote about it. And, of course, scripture supports it. It's not novel. It's common sense. While loving your "neighbor" does not necessarily exclude anyone, we possess limited capacity and finite resources in which we can demonstrate love for our neighbors. Because we live in closest proximity to our family, neighbors, and friends (i.e., our community), it makes sense that they receive the lion's share of our neighborly love. On the other hand, if we distribute our love to those in a far-away land, we do so to the detriment of those closest to us. Yes, Jesus' parable of the good Samaritan teaches a powerful truth about who is our neighbor. In that parable, the man who appeared to be dead was the neighbor of the priest and the Levite because of his proximity to them. Jesus teaches that the priest and the Levite had a responsibility to love and care for the man who appeared dead (Leviticus 19:18; cf. Deuteronomy 21:23), an obligation that in that moment superseded their obligation to priestly matters (Leviticus 21:1-3; cf. Ezekiel 44:25). And yet, a barrage of Christians denounced Vance and accused him of promoting anti-Christian views. Here are a few examples: "Actually, no," claimed Jesuit priest James Martin. "I am a theologian trained at one of America’s top conservative evangelical theological seminaries. This is *not* a Christian concept; it’s a western individualistic one," said Joash Thomas. "It's important to point out that this is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Jesus teaches," claimed progressive pastor Zach Lambert. "This may be an 'ol school' concept. But it’s not 'a very Christian concept,'" claimed pastor Thabiti Anyabwile. "Nowhere in the New Testament do we find this idea. Team Trump are rewriting Christianity," claimed professor Philip Goff. What is most interesting about the reaction to Vance's comments is the discourse about Christianity in the public square, which has gone from "Christian nationalism is a threat to American democracy" to "this is what the Bible actually says" at lightning speed. Another such example is Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde's pontificating to President Donald Trump about "mercy." Where were these Christians when Joe Biden was president just weeks ago? Why weren't they speaking "truth to power" when a Democrat — who, in fact, is Catholic — was in office? How is demanding that American society adopt radically anti-Christian policies, such as unrestricted abortion and trans ideology, consistent with the Bible or church tradition and teaching, let alone what Jesus himself taught? This is what the Biden administration did, and yet these prophetic voices speaking truth to power were silent. Catholic professor Edward Feser perfectly highlighted this double standard: — (@) If the gnashing of teeth from some corners of Christianity feels selective, that's because it is. For nearly a decade, Christian supporters of Trump and the MAGA movement have been smeared as Christian nationalists, despite data showing that progressive Christians — not conservative Christians — are the most politically active. So what is exactly happening here? I think Christian professor Owen Anderson perfectly diagnoses this phenomenon. According to Anderson, progressive Christians who throw around accusations of "Christian nationalism" as an epithet really are seeking "to impose their theological vision through the machinery of the state." "They conflate the moral imperatives of the church with the distinct responsibilities of the government, effectively turning the state into an enforcer of their version of Christian compassion," Anderson explains. "This confusion does a disservice to both the church and the state." In other words, progressive Christians are silent when a Democrat holds power because they agree with their policies. But they rediscover their ability to speak "truth to power" when Republicans hold power and enact policies they disagree with. The irony is undeniable. Progressive Christians are quick to accuse conservatives of politicizing their faith — even accusing them of making politics an idol. Now, progressives expose their own habit of wielding theology as a political weapon, making them guilty of the exact sin they preach against. We should be thankful, meanwhile, that we have a leader in Vance who mainstreams classic Christian teaching.
