Nearly four decades after the passing of his Sam and Dave partner David Prater, Sam Moore was confirmed dead at 89 on Friday morning. He reportedly suffered complications following a surgery and breathed his last in Coral Gables, Florida. The news broke on the internet shortly after, and fans paid their heartfelt respect to the music icon in response. Sam’s fame came with being the other half of Sam and Dave in the ‘60s, although he used to perform soul and R&B music at clubs the decade before. His solo career continued after the two-man group broke up in 1970, after which Sam collaborated with other artists. American actor Dennis Quaid has made the news for being among those affected by the fire blazing in California. Earlier this week, while trying to evacuate his home, an NBC LA reporter, Robert Kovacik, interrupted Dennis to get an interview. The reporter asked Dennis to describe what was going on and Dennis narrated how the smoke started and the immediate response of the firefighters. He mentioned they had evacuated earlier this week but had to return with his dog to get some of his daughter’s belongings.
