Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threatened to impeach members of the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday after the high court ruled that presidents have immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts that they take, but not for unofficial conduct. Justices voted 6-3 along ideological lines in the decision and sent the case in which Trump pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of unlawfully plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election back to a lower D.C. court for further review. “The President is not above the law,” the ruling said. “But under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts.” Ocasio-Cortez responded to the ruling in a post on X: “The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control.” “Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture,” the 34-year-old lawmaker said. “I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.” AG Hamilton, a popular conservative legal account on X, responded to AOC: “Filing articles of impeachment against SCOTUS because they ruled in a way you don’t like is an actual assault on our system. It’s indicative of someone who does not take their oath to the Constitution seriously and doesn’t belong anywhere near a position of authority.” “This also reveals [the] extent to which the recent attacks on SCOTUS have far more to do with not liking the case outcomes than any real ethical concerns,” he added. “AOC is openly admitting that what is motivating is not liking this ruling.” Attorney Julie Hamill responded to AOC’s post: “This is dangerous insurrection talk from a woman who has never gone to law school and learned about the three branches of government while on the job in Congress.” “Just be quiet,” added Rep. Kevin Costner talked about his latest movie project, a western called “Horizon: An American Saga,” and said he makes “movies for men.” In a conversation posted online by the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast with Josh Horowitz, the 69-year-old actor said that even though his films are geared toward male audiences, he does make sure his movies contain “strong women characters” to carry his stories. “If I look back at my career, the one thing I have,” Costner explained, “I make movies for men. That’s what I do. But I won’t make a movie unless I have strong women characters, and that’s how I’ve conducted my career. And I think that’s why I have a good following.” “I thank you women for dragging your men here. It was a Western, after all,” he added. “Whenever you start writing … you’d go, ‘Where’s the woman?’” Costner continued, talking about the process of his script writing for his new movie. “It just drove the story in every plot line. It just seemed to me to be so easy. I mean, I just hardly couldn’t conceive of a scene that didn’t involve women or a young girl raised by a strong woman.” Costner’s first of four planned films in the “Horizon: An American Saga” dropped in June. By the end of the weekend, the movie landed in third place behind Pixar’s “Inside Out” sequel and “A Quiet Place: Day One.” Heading into the opening weekend, Costner downplayed the importance of box office success. “If we put so much pressure on that, we’re bound to be disappointed,” the actor told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m really happy that ‘Horizon’ looks like what it’s supposed to look like, and that’s the way it’ll look the rest of its life. And that’s really important to me in this process.” Costner also recently opened up about his departure from the popular “Yellowstone” western series. “Somewhere along the line they wanted to change things,” the “Field of Dreams” star said. “They wanted to do 5A and 5B … affected ‘Horizon.’ I was going to do my movie ‘Horizon’ and leave that show, do my movie, then do B.” “A show I was only doing once a year I was now doing twice,” he said, adding. “We did negotiate. There were issues about creative. I tried to break the log jam. They walked away.”

Jamie Foxx is opening up about his health scare last year in which the actor and singer said he asked for an Advil because of a headache and woke up 20 days later with no member of what happened. In a clip posted on X, Foxx can be seen speaking to a small group of people in downtown Phoenix about his experience that landed him in the hospital. “April of last year, I had a bad headache,” Foxx said. “I asked my boy for an Advil.” Foxx then snapped his fingers and told the crowd, “I was gone for 20 days…I don’t remember anything.” “So they told me, I’m in Atlanta, and they told me, my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,” Foxx continued, saying that the doctor ended up giving him a cortisone shot. Foxx recently promised to open up about what he went through a little more than a year ago. “I’m so thankful and I get emotional because it’s beyond the scope,” Foxx said during an acceptance speech. “I had some people in my life that really made sure I was here because it was dire straits.” “I take things differently now because you just don’t know,” he added. “Everybody wants to know what happened and I’m gonna tell you what happened but I got to do it in my way.” “I’m going to do it in a funny way.
