UK Censorship Groups Received Taxpayer-Linked Funds, Tied to Labour Figures

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. In the UK, two censorship groups – the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) and Stop Funding Hate – have received money from other organizations that are in part funded by taxpayers. The CCDH was the recipient of funds from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation – whose assets are worth £1.3 billion (some $1.6 billion) – but which also had the Department for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs deposit more than £300,000 ($370,000) of public money to its account. The Telegraph is reporting that £200,000 then went from Fairbairn Foundation to the CCHD last year – and the article frames this as “left wing activists” receiving government money, by proxy, to help carry out “political vendettas.” One of CCDH’s most striking policy goals, revealed via internal documents surfaced by a whistleblower, was to “kill Musk’s Twitter.” The report goes into some detail about how this group and its CEO Imran Ahmed are connected to the UK’s currently ruling Labour: it would appear to be via Morgan McSweeney, Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s chief of staff – who was a founding director of CCDH in 2018, to step down in 2020 – but remain Ahmed’s “dear friend.” In addition to this group, that also featured prominently in investigations in the US focused on how third parties were used to allow Big Tech to apparently collude with the Biden White House – Stop Funding Hate is now in the spotlight as well. This group “specialized” in getting advertisers to drop news outlets in the UK perceived as conservative – GB News and the Daily Mail among them. Their “proxy” funding source was the Paul Hamlyn Foundation (who also contributed to the CCHD with £100,000). The foundation’s investment portfolio is worth £900 million (USD 1.1 billion) – and yet it got allocated taxpayer money from the UK government and the Greater London Assembly, to the tune of £1.4 million from 2020 to 2023 – and even £180,000 from the National Lottery. Stop Funding Hate received £100,000 from this foundation in late 2020. Its links to Labour are appropriate to the era – the group’s chief Richard Wilson supported former party leader Jeremy Corbyn and was also opposed to the UK leaving the European Union. Mike Flynn, John Eastman, and James Comer Challenge Bank of America’s “No Political Bias” Claim on Debanking Conservatives

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Some people appear to be “shocked” that President Trump during his recent World Economic Forum (WEF) address spoke about de-banking of political and ideological opponents in the US – but others, who have been observing that scene for years, are just shocked that anyone’s shocked. Or is anybody? Certainly, virtually all corporate legacy media outlets are, or are pretending to be. Not to mention one giant Trump directly referred to, Bank of America, which is now saying it “welcomes conservatives” and “would never” deny its services to somebody for political reasons. Bloomberg is calling any claims to the contrary “conspiracy theories” (that must appear to be a safe and easy way to discredit pretty much anything) – but, given all the evidence that has been accumulating over the years indicating that de-banking is very much a thing – the feverish attempts to discredit such claims come across as possibly, no more than a conspiracy of some description. General Mike Flynn is one of those who are willing to speak about de-banking being as real as it gets, and calls assertions to the contrary – “total bullshit.” “This is total bullshit. My wife and I lost our accounts with the Bank of Un-America. In nearly 30 years, never missed a mortgage payment, near perfect credit score, always paid my bills… they dropped us without warning. Strongest recommendation, dump them and use a credit union instead,” Flynn posted on X. Flynn is one of a number of public figures in the US who are reacting to legacy media’s attempt at “retconning” the public on this particular issue, while Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott has urged both individuals and businesses that have been subjected to the practice in the past, to now come forward. Meanwhile, Congressman James Comer, a Republican who chairs the House Oversight Committee, has confirmed that the accusations of political discrimination by major financial institutions are being investigated by that body as well. “We’ve heard numerous instances of conservatives being debanked and what we want to know is this a process of the bank’s ESG policy,” he said, referring to the consideration of “environmental, social, and governance” factors. Otherwise, the committee is curious if this might be “our (previous) government stepping in like what we found with Twitter and Facebook, where the government stepped in and said they wanted certain conservatives deplatformed and censored.” https://video.reclaimthenet.org/articles/0327839.mp4 For obvious legal reasons, it seems important to Comer to distinguish between the banks “simply” following some “bad liberal policy” they would have set out for themselves – as opposed to the former Democrat administration being directly involved. When asked if he had evidence of banks actually denying services to conservatives, Comer replied: “Yes, especially people that were involved in different energy type businesses and things like that, as well as very well spoken, outspoken conservative activists, so, there are numerous instances, enough to open an investigation.” If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Trump Strips ‘Ideological Bias’ from AI in Latest Biden Rebuke

President Donald Trump tore up former President Joe Biden’s artificial intelligence (AI) policies during the first week of his presidency.  Trump signed an executive order “eliminating harmful Biden Administration AI policies and enhancing America’s global AI dominance,” on Jan. 23. In this announcement, the president committed to making sure that AI development is free “from ideological bias or engineered social agendas.”  [Story Continues on MRC Free Speech America]

WashPost's Puff Piece on Maddow Bringing 'Hope' Includes Kudos from Keith Olbermann

Washington Post media reporter Jeremy Barr wrote a very lovely valentine to Rachel Maddow's brief return to five-nights-a-week fretting over Trump. This was the sappy headline:  Rachel Maddow is bringing viewers back to MSNBC — and giving them hope Every quote in this story was either Maddow or Maddow's backers. He was...."Jeremy Barr None." There were seven quotations of "brilliance" from Maddow's MSNBC programs, starting with the first sentence: “We will get through all of this together. You and me.” It included two positive quotes from Keith Olbermann, who's still taking credit for her career:  “If your numbers are lagging, then bringing in a personality who is the embodiment of that network and has been for [many] years only makes sense,” said Jonathan Klein, the former president of CNN U.S. “If she would work 24 hours per day, they should do that.” “Television political commentary is better when she’s on the air,” said Keith Olbermann, who hosted a prime-time show on MSNBC from 2003 to 2011 and helped jump-start Maddow’s career — and that of other network stars — by having her on as a guest host. As you should expect from the Democrat-dominated Washington Post, there was one brief Chris-Lichtian feint toward welcoming Republicans, but whew, they avoided that fiasco!  Multiple reports late last year suggested that Mark Lazarus, the executive who will oversee MSNBC once it is spun off as part of a new company, has indicated that he wants the network to be a more hospitable place for Republicans to appear. (The network has not commented on that reporting.) But during an internal meeting on Jan. 14, Lazarus told MSNBC leaders that they shouldn’t expect a major overhaul. “The only thing I’ll say is the worst thing any leader can do is change something that’s working just because they can,” he said, according to a copy of his remarks. “So, if this is working, then there’s no reason to change it.” There's no need to turn to conservative sources, who might talk about Maddow's record of embarrassing Trump coverage in the first term, especially all the enthusiastic Russian-collusion material. She and Adam Schiff are just going to pretend that was Pulitzer Prize stuff, as the Pulitzer Prize patrol still does.  The only "media observers" worth quoting are firmly on Team Rachel.  Many media observers, including Olbermann, have urged MSNBC to stay the course, editorially, and to trust that the network’s audience will return as Trump’s administration kicks into overdrive. “Enough stuff is going to happen. People are going to come back,” Olbermann said. “When they come back, they will have discovered that most of the other liberal outlets in liberal media are not as liberal as they were. ... If the audience seems bereft of hope, then offer them some hope.” The roughest part of the story was Barr's acknowledgement that while the early ratings were positive news, "the network is still attracting fewer viewers than it did before the election."    MSNBC touts how Trump's first 100 days is a critical time for Rachel Maddow's "unique insights and analysis" five nights a week. What a....treat. pic.twitter.com/rponY05EC2 — Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) January 24, 2025

The View’s Old Crones Attack Karoline Leavitt’s Looks and Opposition to Wokeness

The View’s Old Crones Attack Karoline Leavitt’s Looks and Opposition to Wokeness

The two oldest crones form the ABC News coven known as The View lashed out at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Wednesday. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg condescendingly lectured Leavitt about her opposition to the sickness that’s known as “wokeness,” and insisted Leavitt didn’t know what she was talking about. Meanwhile, Joy Behar attacked Leavitt for her looks, suggesting that she only got the job because President Trump was attracted to her. Ugly ageism lurked under Goldberg’s thinly veiled history lecture, falsely claiming the position was Leavitt’s “first job” ever. Goldberg bloviated that she wanted “this young lady” to do her “homework.” Goldberg (69) said Leavitt “said something yesterday that pissed me off,” when the latter denounced wokeness. “Let me explain something to you,” she grimaced. “Because, without that wokeness, you might not have that job!” “And now to hear you talk about it – and to hear anybody talk about the wokeness. The wokeness was put in place for a reason!” Goldberg shouted. “Because women were not invited to that table. Women were not invited to many tables in this nation. The reason we fought and busted our behinds to make sure that you didn't have to worry about this,” she added. “Women were not invited too this party. It was a man's world, and we busted our asses to make sure that this was a person’s world!”     Goldberg went on to demand that Leavitt, “please, please stop using that phrase to talk about because you don't understand what you're saying!” Behar (82) then chimed in with her rusted two cents to jealously attack Leavitt’s looks and suggest she didn’t actually earn the job, just looked pretty for Trump. “And by the way, she's been probably put in the because according to Donald Trump she's a 10. You know that's what it is,” she shouted. Anti-Trumper Alyssa Farah Griffin eventually spoke up to correct the record on Leavitt’s career path. “I want to be clear, though. It's not her first job. It was her first press believing. She worked in the previous Trump administration,” she said as the rest of the cast tried to speak over her. “This is the first time she's been -- she may be, but my point is that job would not maybe have been open to her,” Goldberg tried to argue. Goldberg would go on to whine about Leavitt and the Trump White House expanding access to the White House press pool. She claimed this would lead to “state-run news.” She suggested she would "feel a lot better" if there were "standards people have to meet." She also complained that "there's too much BS out there" and " there's no way to control it." That bellyaching came from the same woman who tried to scare people into voting for Vice President Kamala Harris by falsely claiming Trump was going to break up interracial families and redistribute the white spouse to someone else. She also once insisted that “the Holocaust isn’t about race.” The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View January 29, 2025 11:16:49 a.m. Eastern (…) WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I would like -- this young lady who – this is her first job – I would like her to do homework. Because she said something yesterday that pissed me off. And that was, she said, There will be no wokeness here. Let me explain something to you! Because, without that wokeness, you might not have that job because – [Applause] Because women were not invited to that table. Women were not invited to many tables in this nation. The reason we fought and busted our behinds to make sure that you didn't have to worry about this. And now to hear you talk about it – and to hear anybody talk about the wokeness. The wokeness was put in place for a reason! Because black people couldn't get into colleges, because women could not get into the colleges they wanted to go to. This is all women, see, this is not black, Asian, whatever – this is all women. Women were not invited too this party. It was a man's world, and we busted our asses to make sure that this was a person’s world! [Applause] So, please, please stop using that phrase to talk about because you don't understand what you're saying! You're saying about yourself that, you know, ‘hey, that's a terrible thing to be’ -- it's not a terrible thing to be. That's why we fought, that's what we were fighting for so that you could stand in that podium, so that Kathrine [sic] Jean-Pierre could stand at that podium, so women of all colors and ilks, wherever they came from, whatever their belief system was, they had the opportunity to bust down that door. I just wanted to -- JOY BEHAR: And by the way, she's been probably put in the because according to Donald Trump she's a 10. You know that's what it is! ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I want to be clear, though. It's not her first job. It was her first press believing. She worked in the previous Trump administration. [Crosstalk] GOLDBERG: This is the first time she's been -- she may be, but my point is that job would not maybe have been open to her -- FARAH GRIFFIN: No, I understand. I just wanted to clarify that. (…)

Dem senators try to tank RFK Jr. despite seeing eye to eye on Big Pharma

Democratic senators took aim at Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump's nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services, despite their shared views on tackling Big Pharma. Kennedy testified before the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday, where Democrats relentlessly tried to discredit the nominee as being anti-vaccine and attacking his abortion stance. Kennedy, a former Democrat and longtime health care lawyer, has a lot in common with some senators when it comes to challenging Big Pharma. "All these Democrats are opposed to me for partisan issues. They used to be my friends," Kennedy said. "They agreed with all the issues I've been working on my whole career. Now, they're against me because anything President Trump does has to be discredited, derided, and vilified."'The first thing I've done every morning for the past 20 years is to get on my knees and pray to God that he would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic and to help America's children.'It appears that Democratic lawmakers would prefer to tank Trump's nominee rather than seizing the opportunity to make bipartisan progress to improve the health care industry. "We need to figure out ways to improve care, and the current model is not doing that," Kennedy said. "I would ask any of the Democrats who are chuckling just now: Do you think all that money we're sending to Medicaid every year has made Americans healthy? Is it working for anybody?" Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont have both been leading voices on the left against Big Pharma. Despite this great commonality, both Sanders and Warren berated Kennedy."I want to know if you will commit right now that not only will you not go to work for drug companies, you won't go to work suing drug companies and taking your break out of that while you are secretary and for four years after," Warren said."I'm asking about fees from suing drug companies," Warren clarified. "Will you agree not to do that?" "I'll commit to not taking any fees from drug companies," Kennedy said. "You're asking me to not sue drug companies, and I'm not going to agree to that." — (@) Sanders similarly went on a tirade about vaccines, ranting about baby onesies that appear to have "anti-vaccine" messaging. — (@) Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon has also spent a large part of his political career criticizing Big Pharma and attempting to hold the health care industry accountable, much like Kennedy has. Yet, Wyden overlooked the opportunity to make progress in uprooting corruption in the health care industry and rather split hairs on Kennedy's past comments on vaccinations and abortion. After Wyden attempted to incorrectly paint the nominee as anti-vaccine by referencing old and out-of-context statements, Kennedy clarified his comments and called the senator "dishonest.""Every medicine has people that are sensitive to them, including vaccines," Kennedy said. "I've corrected [the vaccine statement] many times, including on national TV. You know about this, senator, so bringing this up right now is dishonest."Kennedy reiterated his lifelong commitment to resolving America's health care epidemic, one that he has personally endured. "The first thing I've done every morning for the past 20 years is to get on my knees and pray to God that he would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic and to help America's children," Kennedy said. Kennedy will again be testifying before the Senate Health Committee on Thursday.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. LA school police say they will not help ICE catch illegal immigrants in the district

The chief of police for the Los Angeles Unified School District released a statement on Tuesday confirming that his officers will not be assisting federal law enforcement to apprehend illegal immigrants now that criminals can no longer hide in schools and churches to avoid getting deported. Interim Chief Aaron Pisarzewicz said his department has the responsibility and duty to "provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students to learn and succeed."Claiming that mission takes precedence, Pisarzewicz went on to say, "We follow District policy and comply with state and federal laws related to the confidentiality of student records. We do not assist or engage in immigration compliance checks, immigration enforcement activities, or ICE-related task force operations."'We need more deportations, a lot more deportations.'"Our students are our priority, and we are committed to standing by them, ensuring they have a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment," Pisarzewicz concluded. — (@) Los Angeles is one of the many liberal jurisdictions that have attempted to fortify their sanctuary policies for illegal immigrants as President Donald Trump's deportation operations are now under way. The Trump administration said federal law enforcement can enter areas such as churches, schools, and hospitals to apprehend public safety threats who would use those locations to hide.In Chicago, there was unnecessary panic after school officials and officials all the way up to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) claimed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents attempted to enter a school but were denied. It turns out Secret Service agents, not ICE agents, were there investigating a matter unrelated to immigration.Border czar Tom Homan has noted that sanctuary cities and states are actually putting people who don't necessarily pose public safety threats in the crosshairs of immigration authorities, since agents are often not allowed to go to local jails to pick up illegal immigrants to process them for deportations. Agents are then forced to go to neighborhoods, where other people who are not active targets can also be picked up."It makes the job more dangerous for the agent, more dangerous for the alien, and more dangerous for the community. We’ve got to spend a lot of time trying to locate this person and seek to arrest them. It’s not efficient," Homan explained on Tuesday. While Wednesday marked the first time the new Trump administration had arrested over 1,000 illegal immigrants within a 24-hour period, Homan said he is not satisfied with the current pace."We’ve got to do more. We’ve got to open the aperture up, which we are going to do. It was a good start. The first week was unprecedented. I mean, illegal crossings on the border, one day it was 540. I've never seen that. ... We went from 10,000 a day to under 600. It’s great, it’s good, but we're not finished. We need more deportations, a lot more deportations, and that’s what we are working on," Homan said.Like Blaze News? Trump’s mass deportations are an ‘equal and opposite reaction’ to Biden’s open borders

When the border under the Biden regime got so bad that it became a nonpartisan issue, Joe told the nation that his hands were tied. It was up to Congress to act. Donald Trump has been in office less than two weeks and already via several executive orders aimed at reversing the border crisis, he’s proved that Biden’s open borders were a deliberate choice. “Now that we're seeing the Trump administration move on immigration, you are seeing just how feckless and treacherous on purpose the Biden administration was,” says Steve Deace. “It was clearly overtly the goal of the Biden administration to let [the border crisis] happen,” says co-host Todd Erzen. “Whatever you're seeing Tom Homan do, it's a fraction of the number that is required to actually take care of the problem.” Steve crunched the numbers — if Biden let 20 million illegal immigrants into the country, “the Trump administration would have to arrest and deport 4,000 people a day just to get rid of the illegals that have come in the last four years.” “That’s untenable,” he says. “And Biden let it happen under his jurisdiction — willfully, knowingly put his executive stamp on it. This is going to be ugly to untangle legally,” adds Erzen. Co-host and producer Aaron McIntire says that Trump’s mass deportation plan is a necessary response to the gross abuse of the 14th Amendment. Using “Senate records,” the 14th Amendment “could have been adjudicated properly on multiple occasions,” but it wasn’t. “The best-case scenario — the best explanation — is that it was just political laziness, malfeasance, and cowardice that it hasn't been to this day, so what's it going to take then for this to actually be adjudicated properly? An equal and opposite reaction,” he says, referring to mass deportations. “They may strike down Trump's executive order on the 14th Amendment and birthright citizenship, but it is a long overdue ... and absolutely necessary argument to be injected into the discourse here,” McIntire argues. While it may be “a long battle” to get the 14th Amendment properly adjudicated, which he says is “a sad commentary about the state of our judicial system,” he’s thankful the process is finally in motion. “I’m glad we're starting to get there because where we were before was just complete chaos,” he sighs. Steve points to the 1982 Plyler v. Doe Supreme Court case as the start of the conflation of the 14th Amendment and birthright citizenship. To hear his analysis on this case, watch the episode above.
