Dakota Fanning said that as a child star, she was asked “super-inappropriate questions” by the media — and she said it felt like people almost wanted her to fail. Speaking to The Cut, the 30-year-old actress — who has been part of Hollywood since she was 5 years old in movies like “Man on Fire,” “Uptown Girl,” and “I Am Sam” — said that in interviews at a young age, she remembers journalists asking her questions she thought were strange. “‘How are you avoiding becoming a tabloid girl?’ People would ask super-inappropriate questions. I was in an interview as a child and somebody asked, ‘How could you possibly have any friends?’ It’s like, Huh?” She explained. “I have a lot of compassion for people who have been made into examples,” Fanning said. “If society and the media hadn’t played their part, who knows? The leaders of the G7 urged Israel to show “restraint” when responding to Iran’s Islamic regime firing 180+ ballistic missiles at Israel this week. The G7 — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States — condemned “in the strongest terms Iran’s direct military attack against Israel, which constitutes a serious threat to regional stability.” The group said that Iran’s use of terrorist proxy groups throughout the region needed to stop, but warned against “retaliation” that it argued “risks fueling uncontrollable escalation in the Middle East, which is in no one’s interest.” “Therefore, we call on all regional players to act responsibly and with restraint,” the statement said. “We encourage all parties to engage constructively to de-escalate the current tensions.” The group then demanded “an immediate ceasefire in Gaza” where Israel is conducting military operations against Hamas, the Iranian-backed genocidal terrorist organization that massacred 1,200 people during their terror attack one year ago. They also said that they were “deeply concerned about the situation in Lebanon” where Israel is rooting out Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group that is arguably the largest, most advanced, and most heavily armed terrorist group in the world. Hezbollah has fired approximately 9,000 missiles, rockets, and drones at northern Israel since Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack which has forced tens of thousands of Israelis to be displaced from their homes for nearly a full year.
