Riley Green Delivers Acoustic Cover Of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One”
Laying down a love song.
Love might be in the air for Riley Green, as romance rumors have been swirling between him and Megan Moroney. After the two were seemingly on vacation in St. Barts together, fans began speculating they were together, and suspicions grew even more when they returned stateside.
Once they were back in Nashville, Riley Green hit the town, getting behind the bar at Losers to sling drinks and sporting a cowboy hat. Later that evening, Moroney posted on her Instagram story wearing a hat that looked very similar to the one Green had on. Could it have been his? Social media detectives think yes.
@twopupstuff Okay, girlies, hear me out #meganmoroney #rileygreen #amiokay? #youlooklikeyouloveme #fyp ♬ Am I Okay? - Megan Moroney
To fuel rumors even more, fans noticed that Green's dog, Carl, left a comment from his Instagram account on one of Moroney's posts, leaving a simple but powerful compliment.
"Damn, gurl."
While the two have yet to comment on whether they are exploring things romantically or are just friends, they both seem very happy. Riley Green even sings some love songs, which is making fans wonder if he's got love on the brain. Yesterday, Green shared a video of him picking an acoustic guitar and covering a Shania Twain love song, "You're Still The One." In the caption, Green notes that being back on the farm always makes him want to pick up the guitar and lay down some covers.
"Somethin' about being back on the farm always makes me want to pick a little bit. What a song."
However, Green is not often keen on love songs, frequently covering classic tunes like Hank Williams, his own tracks, and unreleased ditties when he shares these raw acoustic cuts on social media.
I'm not mad at the change of pace from heartbreakers to swooning love ballads as he beautifully delivered his take on Twain's '1997 hit. This cover is something I never knew I needed. The tender lyrics are put into a new perspective with a male vocalist. Hearing a man deliver the lyrics of loving someone profoundly hit much harder.
And I'm not knocking Twain's version at all, but let's face it: we women are much more in tune with our loving side, so it's easier for us to express deep-rooted feelings.
"Mm (you're still the one)You're still the one I run toThe one that I belong toYou're still the one I want for life(You're still the one)You're still the one that I loveThe only one I dream ofYou're still the one I kiss goodnight..."
Just Riley Green and his guitar make this jam session pure gold.

Given Green posted this video right after the Grammy Awards, a few fans left comments on the post noting that he is much better than the Best Country Album winner... they aren't barking up the wrong tree. This is Damn. Country. Music.
