Snark from CW Sports Drama ‘All American’: 'Justice Is Only Served' When Blacks Are Prosecuted

It’s been awhile (fortunately) since we’ve had to call out CW’s sports drama, All American. But (unfortunately) this week's episode, “The Next Episode,” regressed into their old, familiar, divisive race baiting as one character proclaims justice is only served when it’s a person of color being prosecuted. The storyline centered around main characters Coop (Bre-Z) and her girlfriend Patience (Chelsea Tavares), both of whom are in the music industry. Patience is a singer and Coop is a rapper, and they’re both dealing with the aftermath of Patience being stalked and almost killed by an obsessed fan, Miko (Courtney Bandeko). Miko’s trial has begun, and when Coop informs Patience that Miko turned down a plea deal, Patience becomes visibly upset. Coop tries to encourage her that justice will be served, but Patience claims, “…justice is only served when it's people like me and you being prosecuted.” Anchor: …as day 1 of The State of California versus Miko Scott" attempted murder trial begins. What can we expect today... Coop: We can expect a lot of stress. How you feeling? Patience: I'm not sure. I'm just ready for all this to be over. Anchor 2: Jury selection will soon begin with the defense hoping to identify jurors sympathetic to their cause who, perhaps... Patience: Yeah. I am over this already, ok? Coop: Look, look. Before we pivot, there's something I need to tell you. Uh, the D.A. offered Miko a plea deal, and she turned it down. Patience: What does that mean? Coop: Nothing good for us. Patience: I hate her. My entire life has been turned upside down. Like, I haven't even been able to set foot in the studio, and she's about to walk free? Coop: Look. There’s still a very strong chance that justice will be served, and she'll get what's coming to her. Patience: Oh, come on, Coop. You and I both know that justice is only served when it's people like me and you being prosecuted. Coop: The best thing we can do is just stay positive, alright? We'll get through this together. Patience: No, no. I have put so much work into not feeling like a victim, but I know the minute that she's acquitted, I'll have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life. Coop: Whatever I gotta do to make you feel safe here, I'll do it. Patience: The safest I've ever felt were those 6 months I lived in New York, so if Miko gets off, I may have to consider moving back. While I’m sure there have been instances of racism and injustice in the legal system, it’s most certainly not the norm. To claim justice is only served when a person of color is being prosecuted is dangerous hyperbole and only serves to harm race relations in this country by stirring up anger and hostility under false pretenses. Hopefully this is just a blip, and the show takes a permanent hiatus from race baiting from here on out.

MSNBC Suggests Pro-Life Laws Violate The First Amendment

MSNBC Suggests Pro-Life Laws Violate The First Amendment

In a bit of legal analysis better suited for The View, MSNBC’s Alex Witt suggested on Thursday that pro-life laws violate the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause as she guest hosted Thursday’s edition of Andrea Mitchell Reports. Witt went all in on abortion activism as she issued more of a statement with a question mark thrown in at the end than a genuine question to New York Magazine senior writer Sarah Jones, “Sarah, the New York Times reports that 171,000 patients traveled for abortion care last year. They went from states that have bans in place. I mean, what an economic cost to women, many of whom may not have the means to afford it, in addition to the health and the mental strain they are facing. Right?”     Jones wholeheartedly agreed, “It's an extreme burden, especially on low-income women. We’ve known this for a long time. It just hasn't mattered to the anti-abortion movement whatsoever, which claims that it is for women, that it can balance the rights of the fetus with the rights of the woman and we’ve seen in practice that that's just not true. We can see it in the burden placed on these women who are traveling such extreme distances just to access a basic legal right.” Witt concurred and turned to political analyst Jennifer Palmieri, “Yeah, right you are. Jen, here is something to think about because there's supposed to be separation of church and state in our system of government, a tenet of the First Amendment known as the Establishment Clause, which states, ‘Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion,’ but the issue of abortion makes you question if that's the case.” That’s just dumb. If Witt thinks that outlawing abortion on the grounds that it constitutes murder is akin to the establishment of a state religion, the only logical thing for her to do is support the repeal of all murder laws because “thou shall not murder” is one of the ten commandments. Witt should not be a partisan news anchor, but if she insists, she should at least come up with a logical counterargument, not this laziness. As for Palmieri, she wasn’t much better, “The other thing from this week, Alex, is the recording that we heard from Justice Alito where a person who he does not know, at a public event, put a microphone in front of him and asked him a question that he answered and the point I'm making here is that he was very comfortable sharing this view, which was shocking, where he said he thought it was -- the United States should be a nation of godliness.” For Palmieri, this rather tame idea means Alito must be some sort of aspiring theocrat, “You know, that is not where the Supreme Court justices have, you know, have been. That is not -- to actually say that out loud in a public setting, I think it was -- I found it jarring to see -- if you are willing to say that in that kind of setting, what's happening behind closed doors with the, you know, with the conservative members of the Supreme Court and the agenda that they are pursuing, when you are willing to be that public about it. People on the left also invoke God and religion to justify their beliefs on a whole range of topics, but MSNBC does not find that scary. Plus, if Alito was what MSNBC alleges, he would not have joined a unanimous ruling on Thursday that ruled that a pro-life group did not have standing to sue the FDA over the abortion pill. Here is a transcript for the June 13 show: MSNBC Andrea Mitchell Reports 6/13/2024 12:27 PM ET ALEX WITT: Sarah, the New York Times reports that 171,000 patients traveled for abortion care last year. They went from states that have bans in place. I mean, what an economic cost to women, many of whom may not have the means to afford it, in addition to the health and the mental strain they are facing. Right? Sore Losers: Networks Ignore GOP Blowing Out Dems in Charity Baseball Game

In an insane 20-point blowout Wednesday night, the Republicans beat the Democrats in the annual Congressional Baseball Game for charity for the fourth game in a row. More impressive than the 31-11 victory was the $2.2 million raised for local DC charities! But none of that was covered by the sore losers on the morning newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC. NBC’s Today, on Thursday morning, did acknowledge that the game happened but co-host Craig Melvin only wanted to hype the crazy climate change lunatics that stormed the field: Several protesters were arrested last night after running onto the field during the Congressional Baseball Game in Washington, D.C. This happened during the second inning in Nationals Park. Capitol Police officers tackled the guys and took eight protesters into custody. The group wore t-shirts that read “end fossil fuels.” The annual charity baseball game features Democrats and Republicans from the House and Senate. There was no mention of the final score nor the amount raised for charity.   Sore losers: NBC's Today was the only broadcast network this morning to mention the Congressional Baseball game last night. They touted the climate protesters, omitted the Republicans routing the Democrats in a 31-11 victory, and no mention of the $2.2 million raised. pic.twitter.com/nk4XyIwWvf — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) June 13, 2024   ABC and CBS relegated the game to their websites and they too made it largely about the protesters. “8 climate protesters arrested during Congressional Baseball Game: Police,” ABC wrote. “Eight climate protesters were arrested after being tackled on the field during the Congressional Baseball Game, U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement.” “Climate protesters disrupt congressional baseball game, Republicans have 31-11 decisive victory,” the CBS headline stated. Reporter Kaia Hubbard did note the impressive victory for charities: “The charity event broke records this year, bringing 30,000 fans to Nationals Park and raising $2.2 million for local charities, according to the Congressional Sports for Charity.” On the specific charities helped, the Washington Examiner added: “Proceeds from the game benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Washington Literacy Center, the Washington Nationals Philanthropies, and the United States Capitol Police Memorial Fund.” The transcript is below: NBC’s Today June 13, 2024 8:04:42 a.m. Eastern CRAIG MELVIN: Several protesters were arrested last night after running onto the field during the Congressional Baseball Game in Washington, D.C. Secret recording tries to trap Alito, but he seizes the moment to get honest about the media: 'It's a dangerous time'

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito understands the legacy media's game. For more than a year, media outlets — specifically, ProPublica — have worked to delegitimize the Supreme Court by suggesting that Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas are guilty of unethical behavior. The biased investigations have uncovered no actual evidence to prove the broadside attacks.'They look for any little thing they can find, and they try to make something out of it. That's, that's what it is.'In a newly released audio recording, Alito revealed the reason why he believes media outlets are targeting him and his colleagues. The recording was captured at a Supreme Court Historical Society event on June 3 at which progressive "advocacy journalist" Lauren Windsor secretly recorded Alito and his wife at the event by lying to them. The newest recording was secretly captured by Windsor's colleague, Ally Sammarco. In the recording, Sammarco tried to flatter Alito by calling him an "American hero," a compliment that he rebuffed. She then asked a leading question about why the Supreme Court "is being so attacked and being so targeted by the media these days.""Well, I think it’s a simple reason: They don’t like our decisions," Alito responded."And they don’t like how they anticipate we may decide some cases that are coming up. That’s the beginning and the end of it," he explained. "There are groups that are very well funded by ideological groups that have spearheaded these attacks. That’s what it is."When asked for specifics, Alito identified ProPublica."ProPublica gets a lot of money, and they have spent a fortune investigating Clarence Thomas, for example. You know, everything he's ever done in his entire life," Alito explained. "And they’ve done some of that to me, too. They look for any little thing they can find, and they try to make something out of it. That's, that's what it is."Alito later added, "I think it's a dangerous time." — (@) ProPublica responded to Alito's criticism in a statement:ProPublica exposes abuses of power no matter which party is in charge and our newsroom operates with fierce independence. No donors are made aware of stories before they are published, nor do they have a say as to which stories reporters pursue. More than 55,000 donors of every stripe actively fund our investigative, nonpartisan journalism. To the contrary, ProPublica's liberal bias and its funding from wealthy liberals is well documented. The self-proclaimed "nonpartisan" outlet, after all, doesn't publish extensive investigations into the lives of the Supreme Court's left-leaning justices.Like Blaze News? Vivek Ramaswamy perfectly explains what Hunter Biden’s charges are REALLY about: 'It’s a sham!'

Earlier this week, Hunter Biden was charged with three felonies relating to the purchase of a gun back in 2018. Many speculate that these specific charges are part of a bigger plan to thwart Donald Trump — especially considering illegal gun ownership merely scratches the surface of Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes. “What they want to do is take Hunter Biden and make this all about the illegal gun purchase, and then his dad can either pardon him or not,” says Dave Rubin, “but they want to equate that with the Donald Trump complete sham trial.” Vivek Ramaswamy explained this in detail in a recently posted video. “So Hunter Biden was convicted. Big freaking deal. This trial was a sham, just like the Trump trial. … It's a sham designed to legitimize the Trump conviction. That’s why it came right after,” the former candidate explained. “It also avoids accountability for the Biden crime family on the actual things Hunter Biden should have been charged for — like for example peddling for an influence while his actual father, Joe Biden, was the vice president of the United States,” Ramaswamy continued. “Hunter had no business serving on the board of a Ukrainian energy company — a state-affiliated energy company that's affiliated with the same country, Ukraine, that his father, the U.S. president, is sending hundreds of billions of dollars of your taxpayer money to. That's where the real crimes lie.” “So this deflects accountability for the actual investigations that are more close to implicating Joe Biden, while coming in convenient timing right after the sham Trump conviction in the veil of bipartisanship. Don't buy it,” he concluded. “Vivek is completely right on that,” agrees Dave. “Whether [Hunter] serves jail time or not is irrelevant. They're getting him on [gun charges] because they want the average person to now be like, ‘Oh, I remember what happened to Trump last week, and he's a convicted criminal,’ and ‘Oh, they also did it to the president's son; he's a convicted criminal.'” To hear more, watch the clip below.
