Kirby Talks War With Iran, Maybe Soon

One leftist is trying to rebrand diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as a badge of honor and admitted something the legacy media has often been keen to deny.  Christina Blacken, founder of a “leadership development and behavior change training company,” The New Quo, wrote a July 30 op-ed for The HuffPost titled with a stunning admission. “Kamala Harris Would Be A DEI President,” the title read, adding, “And That's A Good Thing For America.” In her article, Blacken distorted what DEI is and embraced popular smears against DEI opponents. She even claimed that DEI creates a type of meritocracy, somehow.  The legacy media has viciously lashed out at people who label Vice President Kamala Harris as a “DEI-hire,” calling it “clearly racist” and denouncing supposed “outright racism.” This is despite the fact that in 2020 Biden made it clear that he would put unchosen characteristics over qualifications when he promised to solely consider women for his vice presidential pick. The Washington Post, Politico, NPR, The Associated Press, CNN and other outlets acknowledged the pressure to prioritize race and gender.  Bracken, who called Harris a potential “DEI President” in her title, bristled at anyone on the right who dared to acknowledge this. “[T]hey cast Harris as a DEI candidate to simultaneously discredit her accomplishments while quietly dog-whistling to their brood.” Ludicrously, Blacken casts DEI initiatives as a pursuit of meritocracy: “[A] world where true merit and capability, across demographic backgrounds, are considered.” To be clear, this is a woman who promotes DEI, which puts unchosen characteristics like race and gender above considerations like merit.  Blacken claimed that conservative leaders “create “slurs for their followers to run with.” She added that, “Somehow for those people, DEI ― which actually means creating practices, policies and behaviors that create better financial, mental and physical outcomes that benefit everyone, including white men ― is interchangeably used as a derogatory alternative for the N-word.” But DEI does not benefit everyone, as Blacken claims. DEI is racial and gender discrimination in hiring and admissions rather than simply choosing the most qualified candidate or applicant. Even the legacy media has occasionally acknowledged this.  A report by Bloomberg News, owned by leftist billionaire Michael Bloomberg, laid out how this worked in 2021. According to the media outlet, a mere 6 percent of jobs at major companies they analyzed went to white individuals in 2021. Simultaneously, white people made up 68.5% of layoffs at studied companies that shrank in 2021.  Blacken, however, does benefit from DEI.  She chose to whitewash DEI because she is not a disinterested observer. DEI is her livelihood. According to The New Quo website she, has trained “11,500 leaders across 9 industries” through her live trainings and online courses. She describes her work as “creating equity goals and practices that infuses [sic] DEI into every area of their business,” and  “helping companies create more inclusive language in their content and services.” Conservatives are under attack! Contact ABC News (818) 460-7477, CBS News (212) 975-3247 and NBC News (212) 664-6192 and demand they report on the dangers of leftist DEI ideology infecting corporate America.

MSNBC’s tradition of rolling out self-identified Republicans to repeat the kookiest Democratic talking points continued on Friday as former GOP communications director Tara Setmayer joined Ana Cabrera Reports to claim “women voters are looking at this election as a life or death choice.” Against the backdrop of recent comments from Donald Trump about Kamala Harris’s race, Cabrera wondered, “Do you think a debate is more or less likely after all of this?”     Setmayer claimed a debate will happen because Trump’s ego demands it, and that “I'm looking forward to Donald Trump debating Kamala Harris. I think that she will use her prosecutorial skills to destroy him on the debate stage, because if his default is just to name-call and to try to bully her, that is not going to play well.” While Setmayer would be wise to recall those “prosecutorial skills” led her to withdraw before Iowa in the primary, she insisted that “Let's not forget that, you know, the idea of women, now we have a woman at the top of the ticket, and women voters are looking at this election as a life or death choice.” She continued to insist that Harris is the personification of freedom, “The binary choice is democracy or Trump, and for women, it's our lives or Trump, and Kamala Harris embodies the future of this country, embodies freedom in this country now, and Donald Trump and MAGA embody regression and trying to turn things back, and by his behavior, acting like this, continuing to act like this, this only reinforces that choice, particularly for women in battleground states.” Setmayer concluded by reiterating, “So, do I think he's going to debate her? I don't think his campaign wants her to debate him, but she -- or for him to debate her, but I don't think his ego is going to allow him to be called a coward, that he is, if he were not to do it.” With “Republicans” like this, one wonders why MSNBC needs Democrats.  Here is a transcript for the August 2 show: MSNBC Ana Cabrera Reports 8/2/2024 10:24 AM ET ANA CABRERA: So, Tara, I just want to pick up on what we heard at the end of that Chuck Schumer clip. The stock market reacted negatively to a bad unemployment report, and the Trump campaign lambasted Democrats for what some said are signs of a coming recession. “Kamala Harris has proudly and repeatedly celebrated her role as Joe Biden’s co-pilot on ‘Bidenomics.’ She cast tie-breaking votes in the Senate for spending that put inflation on steroids, and despite the evidence that America’s working families are hurting she tells us these failed plans are working," read a statement from the campaign entitled "Kamalanomics."The jobs report documented a sharp upturn in the unemployment rate from 4.1% to 4.3%, the highest level since October 2021. The Dow Jones index dropped 800 points on the news after losing nearly 500 points on Thursday. The S&P 500 index dropped 108 points, or about 2%, while the Nasdaq Composite fell by 384 points, or 2.2%. Despite the downturn, the stock market had reached historic highs in recent weeks. The report also triggered what is known as the "Sahm rule," which is named after an economist and predicts when the economy is headed into a recession. The Biden administration has been trying to argue that its policies have worked to broaden the employment base and raise wages, even as inflation has eroded Americans' buying power. The economy is a weak spot for Democrats as polls show most Americans blame President Joe Biden for high inflation and believe the economy is slumping. A majority of respondents said they trusted Republicans on the economy while far fewer said they trusted Democrats. "The basic necessities of food, gas and housing are less affordable, unemployment is rising, and Kamala doesn’t seem to care," the Trump campaign concluded. Like Blaze News?
