National Audit Office: Lower the requirements so that more immigrants and women can become police officers
Published May 20, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Domestic. Despite the government's diversity goals, there are still a large number of women and immigrants who fail to pass the entrance exam for police training. This is evident from a report from the Swedish National Audit Office, which now wants to see a remedy and improvement.

One in five female applicants fails the strength test – a test that involves lifting a barbell to the chin.

It is precisely this type of physical requirement that is questioned in the report, despite the fact that the police themselves believe that the test reflects real needs in the profession.

The National Audit Office also points out that more than one in three applicants with a foreign background fail the so-called aptitude test – even though their school grades are not necessarily worse. One explanation could be the language of the test, they believe.

– It may be that it is an archaic language, so that people do not understand the words as they are not used today, says Linda Jönsson, project manager for the National Audit Office's review, to TT.

Another problem, according to the report, is that psychologists who interview candidates are not allowed to share their assessment with the Police Authority, due to confidentiality. This makes it difficult to get a complete picture of the applicants. At the same time, the National Audit Office questions why there is no formal language testing at all.

The police share some of the National Audit Office's conclusions, but also reject some of the criticism. The agency believes that today's admission already rests on "an extensive empirical basis" and that the report exaggerates the significance of certain analyses.

Echo is heard – spreading bizarre sex rumors about Trump and Putin
Published May 19, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Media. After the insult of Zelenskyj in the White House, Sveriges Radio's Russia correspondent became so upset that she began telling fictional stories on live broadcast about Putin having sex with Trump. Now the state radio giant is being condemned by the review board for the feature.

Sveriges Radio's flagship Ekot has been found guilty by the Review Board for violating the requirement for objectivity in a live broadcast on February 28, 2025 - in connection with Volodymyr Zelenskyj's highly publicized visit to the White House.

In the broadcast, SR's Russia correspondent Maria Persson Löfgren chose to spread disinformation that Russia had a hold on US President Donald Trump.

The correspondent gave a long and incoherent speech about “films” from the Hotel International in Moscow in the 1980s, where Trump allegedly had “some very advanced sex with women,” and about business connections with Kremlin-loyal oligarchs. According to the SR correspondent, the films could be used to remotely control the American president.

Only a week later, after a report was submitted to the review board, did SR choose to correct the information – and then admitted that "there is no known official verification that the incident actually occurred".

According to the review board, however, the correction came too late to compensate for the factually inadequate reporting in Ekot, which is broadcast several times a day.

SR's correction was made during the broadcast on March 7, but the committee considers that this was not sufficient. The feature is therefore formally rejected for being unobjectionable. SR is now ordered to publish the decision.

Two of the committee's members, Kristina Åberg and Linnéa Jonjons, reserved their opinion on the decision and wanted to acquit Ekot.
The left are just so funny, first they shout there love for LGBT, then they tell this story

Trump calls for an investigation of Harris paying for celebrity endorsements

President Trump is calling for an investigation into the celebrity endorsements that former Vice President Kamala Harris received while she was running for president. He accused Ms. Harris of paying for the endorsements with campaign cash, which is illegal. “How much did Kamala Harris pay Bruce Springsteen for his poor performance during her campaign for president? Why did he accept that money if he is such a fan of hers? Isn’t that a major and illegal campaign contribution?...

Trump Demands ‘Major’ Investigation Into Beyoncé and Springsteen Appearances in Late-Night Rant

President Donald Trump escalated his feud against Bruce Springsteen in a late-night, all-caps rant calling for an investigation into the legendary rocker’s performance at a Kamala Harris campaign rally. Springsteen kicked off his “Land of Hope & Dreams” tour by saying the U.S. was in the hands of a “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” leading the president to fire back that Springsteen was a “dried out prune of a rocker [who] ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH...

What Joe Biden’s cancer can (and should) teach us about The Media

by Kit Knightly, Off Guardian: Last night the news broke that former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, which has already metastasized to his bones. The conversation has gone in two predictable directions. On the one hand you have the predictable “out pouring of support” from fans of Team Blue, […]
