Looking for some things to do at home during the winter? If you're stuck inside your house because of the most recent snowstorm, gloomy rain, or sharply cold weather, there is no need to worry. Get yourself into these engaging ideas and you'll see that making up for lost time with additional work and doing errands are on the fun list! Things To Do At Home For A Fun And Relaxing Winter “I'm bored!” This statement is not allowed in my homestead anytime. However, whenever someone is getting bored, I look around because I know I can find a satisfying task for myself and for my kids. And for me, that's the perfect way to keep me occupied! Home is the only place where there is always creative and entertaining things to do. All you have to do is make use of your imagination and your day will surely be more fun and productive. So today I am sharing these 18 self-indulging things you can do at home. Enjoy!   1. Make A Fantastic Breakfast image via a little rosemary and time You've got the perfect time to beat up your normal on-the-go breakfast and cook some bacon, eggs, or French toast to enjoy. Or put your hands on something delicious and easy, like these mouthwatering pancakes.   2. Redecorate Your Home | If want a new look for your house, you really don't need to get out and buy new things. All you have to do is move things around. Try rearranging your furniture, find new angles to hang your photos, or scan online for new ideas. You'll find redecorating your home a joyfully refreshing thing to do.   3. Organize Your Closet | Dress up your closet and minimize the clutter. If you have the luxury of time, have fun to play adult dress-up. Experiment with new clothing combinations, and prepare outfits for upcoming occasions. This will help you organize your closet and find amazing outfits that have been left unused for months.   4. Create Something image via craftmehappy Make use of your creativity and create something beautiful and useful with your hands. Crafting can be super easy, like jewelry making, sewing, and knitting. Who knows, you can get some profit from it because there are lots of DIY crafts you can sell.   5. Have A Luxurious Bath Have an extraordinary bath experience with some DIY bath bombs, candles, a beverage or a great book, and some relaxing music. If you've got little ones, an enjoyable bath with lots of bubbles and toys can be a great transformation from your normal daily routine.   6. Take Your Happy Hour image via homesteading If you have not taken your happy hour in a long time, now is the perfect time to do so. Make use of this lazy day to stir up some warm and fancy crockpot drinks, a glass of your favorite wine, or an exotic cocktail. Don’t forget to include your favorite appetizers to make it more personalized.   7. Homemade Beauty Treatments image via naturalhoney Pamper yourself with a mini spa day with some DIY beauty treatments. Whether it's a good manicure/pedicure, an avocado mask, or a relaxing body scrub, it's a perfect day to beautify and rejuvenate.   8. Get In Touch With Family And Friends | Catching up with your long-lost friends, grandparents, or any loved one you’ve been longing to talk with has already been made easy if you have the luxury of internet at home. If you’ve got that, this is an amazing activity and can be done by all.   9. Scrapbooking | Never tried scrapbooking before? Now is an awesome time to create a book of your children's art or your achievements, or create a gift for someone's special event.   These tips will make laundry day in your homestead more effective this cold season. Check out our line drying tips! https://t.co/s4DnlfbZ9t — Homesteading (@HomesteadingUSA) December 29, 2016   10. Test Your Baking Skills image via kitchen treaty Baking chocolate chip treats is an engaging winter's day project, as is cooking different delectable recipes like crisp-baked bread and warm pies. Or, you can have simple winter treats the children can help with.   11. Soup Up image via homemade recipes Making a decent pot of hot soup is a simple and fulfilling activity during winter. Try a perfect chicken noodle soup, a broiled cauliflower, or my favorite, carrot and butternut squash soup.   12. Prepare A Fancy Dinner | Since there is an ideal opportunity to really appreciate cooking and eating a quality feast, why not make yourself or the family a fancy dinner? Set up your table with your most beautiful dinnerware and make it look like a first class restaurant. I do this at least thrice a week during winter. It's a perfect opportunity for me to showcase my cooking skills!   13. Enjoy An Afternoon Tea | Sit back, relax, and enjoy your very own tea party right inside the comfort of your home. You can use nice and fancy china and add some small treats or sandwiches. If you want to enjoy it with your little ones, substitute tea for a chocolate drink.   14. Engage In An Indoor Obstacle Course image via jen-peacefulparenting Burn up some energy and have a great time pursuing an indoor obstacle course. If you were able to plan ahead, purchase some entertaining magazines, then relax and enjoy your day at home.   16. Dog Dumped Over A Fence At An Animal Shelter Finds Forever Home

A dog that was previously caught on camera being dumped over a fence by a man at the Humane Society of Atlantic County finally gets to go to her forever home. On July 18, the animal shelter posted a video on their Facebook page showing a man throwing his dog over the fence and proceeding to walk away from the shelter’s fence. “This is the 4th dog dumped over our fence by this individual in the middle of the night,” the Humane Society of Atlantic County wrote. The animal shelter had asked the public for help in identifying the man and described him as someone who drives a black Cadillac sedan. On the other hand, not much is known about the pup, previously named Brenda and now named Snookie, who was a young Pit Bull with two big, distinct scarring on her back. While the animal shelter is still looking for the man, things got a lot better for Snookie after the animal shelter shared a “heartwarming update” about her on July 29. The animal shelter revealed that Snookie’s new family flew in from Texas just to adopt the sweet girl. They wrote that the family “fell in love with her at first sight” when they saw the pooch. “Safe travels, Brenda, you deserve all the love in the world!” the animal shelter wrote. In a new post on September 20, the Humane Society of Atlantic County shared an update on Snookie’s life. The update came with a video of Snookie playing with one of her brothers in their backyard in Texas that has a pool specially made for dogs. “Remember the dog that was thrown over the fence? Here she is, now named Snookie, with one of her two new brothers,” the animal shelter wrote. “We are thrilled that Snookie has such an amazing life and loving family now.” Users who followed Snookie’s story can’t help but congratulate the pooch on the new life she’s living. One user wrote, “That’s a happy ending for sure. So excited for the pup.” While another wrote, “This makes my heart happy! Happy Life Snookie! You deserve this.” Others didn’t forget to thank the shelter for helping Snookie find her happily ever after. “Thank you for the incredible work you do every day! Your entire staff is phenomenal!” a user wrote.

USAF ‘Whistleblower’ Claims Staged Alien Invasion is Imminent

Charles McNeal, who is allegedly a former US Air Force intelligence insider, asserts that he was once recruited into a secretive unit responsible for maintaining a 70-year truce between the U.S. government and an alien civilization. He claims that this truce is about to collapse, which, according to him, will trigger a series of “dramatic events.” These events supposedly include a global conflict and a “staged alien invasion” using “reverse-engineered UFO technology.” McNeal also alleges that for decades, there has been a deliberate effort to ease humanity into accepting the reality of extraterrestrial life through films, books, and television shows about alien invasions and science-fiction scenarios. “This is known as the Public Acclimation Program,” McNeal explained. “For decades, you’ve been spoon-fed fictionalized versions of the truth through TV, movies, and books.” He has even provided a description of the different alien races he claims will invade Earth. “Type A-C have a grey or greyish pigmentation that can come off a bit chalky sometimes. They have four fingers with little suction cups on the ends of each finger and some have webbing in between their fingers and toes. Type D have a brownish pigmentation and five fingers and five toes,” he said. McNeal claims this species began as fully biological beings but encountered a force they now worship, known as “The Keeper.” Over thousands of years, they started integrating technology into their bodies. “This species started off fully biological until they ventured out into the cosmos and came into contact with what they now answer to, something called ‘The Keeper’. They now worship technology and started to incorporate mechanics into their biological makeup thousands of years ago.” While these claims are certainly intriguing, it would be wise to approach them with considerable skepticism.
