Trump Calls For Cutting NPR Funds After Editor Accuses Network Of Bias

Former President Donald Trump‚ who is running another campaign for the White House‚ demanded this week that funding be cut from National Public Radio (NPR) after a longtime NPR editor accused the network of espousing left-wing bias.NO MORE FUNDING FOR NPR‚ A TOTAL SCAM! EDITOR SAID THEY HAVE NO REPUBLICANS‚ AND IS ONLY USED TO DAMAGE TRUMP. THEY ARE A LIBERAL DISINFORMATION MACHINE. NOT ONE DOLLAR!!! Trump said in a post to Truth Social on Wednesday. The Free Press published anop-ed on Tuesday in which NPR Senior Business Editor Uri Berliner argued NPR lost Americas trust with its increasingly liberal bent. Despite his critique‚ Berliner said defunding was not the way to address the missteps he outlined. As the country becomes more fractured‚ theres still a need for a public institution where stories are told and viewpoints exchanged in good faith. Defunding‚ as a rebuke from Congress‚ wouldnt change the journalism at NPR. That needs to come from within‚ he said.Multiple times during his presidency‚ Trump proposed reining in funding for public media‚ but Congress did not take him up on the cuts. If he is re-elected this year‚ that could change. As noted in a POLITICO report after the House blocked the advancement of a FISA bill that Trump opposed‚ the former president is tightening his stranglehold on the congressional GOPs policy agenda. When NPR ditched Twitter (now X) last year after being slapped with labels linking it to the U.S. government‚ the network insisted it receives less than 1 percent of its $300 million annual budget from the federally funded Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Still‚ on its website‚ NPR says federal funding is essential and that ending it would result in fewer programs‚ less journalism especially local journalismand eventually the loss of public radio stations‚ particularly in rural and economically distressed communities. In his op-ed‚Berliner talked about how the rise of advocacy took off when Trump got elected to the White House in the 2016 election when he defeated Hillary Clinton. As in many newsrooms‚ his election in 2016 was greeted at NPR with a mixture of disbelief‚ anger‚ and despair. (Just to note‚ I eagerly voted against Trump twice but felt we were obliged to cover him fairly)‚ Berliner said. But what began as tough‚ straightforward coverage of a belligerent‚ truth-impaired president veered toward efforts to damage or topple Trumps presidency.Berliner discussed how NPR interviewed Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) dozens of times‚ during which he often spoke about there being evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia‚ but the network offered up notably sparse coverage when Robert Muellers special counsel report released in 2019 found no credible evidence of collusion and let Russiagate fade from its programming. It is one thing to swing and miss on a major story. Unfortunately‚ it happens‚ Berliner said. You follow the wrong leads‚ you get misled by sources you trusted‚ youre emotionally invested in a narrative‚ and bits of circumstantial evidence never add up. Its bad to blow a big story. The editor shared an anecdote about the Hunter Biden laptop story‚ which emerged prior to the 2020 election‚ saying it was newsworthy. But the timeless journalistic instinct of following a hot story lead was being squelched. During a meeting with colleagues‚ I listened as one of NPRs best and most fair-minded journalists said it was good we werent following the laptop story because it could help Trump.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPBerliner also said he found 87 registered Democrats and zero Republicans working editorial positions in D.C.‚ where NPR is headquartered‚ but when he shared the data in a staff meeting and suggested there was a diversity problem‚ the response wasnt hostile. It was worse. It was met with profound indifference.NPR Editor-in-Chief Edith Chapin released a statement saying that she and her colleagues on the leadership team strongly disagree with Uris assessment of the quality of our journalism and the integrity of our newsroom processes. She also said‚ Were proud to stand behind the exceptional work that our desks and shows do to cover a wide range of challenging stories.

Biden Bleeding Support From Black Men In Crucial Swing States‚ WSJ Poll Finds

President Joe Biden is losing the support of black men at an alarming rate‚ according to a Wall Street Journal poll of seven swing states. The 2024 election poll released last week surveyed voters in Arizona‚ Georgia‚ Michigan‚ Nevada‚ North Carolina‚ Pennsylvania‚ and Wisconsin‚ all states widely viewed as toss-ups heading into November. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that one major finding in the poll showed that Bidens support among black men in the swing states is 30 points lower than the 2020 elections national results. In the poll‚ 57% of black men supported Biden‚ while 30% said they backed former President Trump. This is a drastic shift from 2020 when 87% of black men voted for Biden‚ and only 12% voted for Trump‚ according to the VoteCast national poll. The WSJ poll found that Bidens support among black women remained high‚ but it was significantly lower than just four years ago. In 2020‚ 93% of black women across the country voted for Biden‚ but in the poll‚ Bidens support among the demographic in the battleground states sits at 77%‚ while Trumps numbers among black women were higher‚ from the 6% he received nationally in 2020 to 11% in the swing states poll.Adrianne Shropshire‚ head of Democratic political action committee BlackPAC‚ told the Wall Street Journal that the apparent shift in black support away from Biden means that Democrats must revamp their 2020 strategy of reaching out to black voters. In this particular election‚ the persuasion isnt just to vote or not to vote‚ said Shropshire. The persuasion is actually to get people to come to Biden and away from third parties and away from Trump. The WSJ poll also found that while black women are less likely than black men to ditch their support of Biden in favor of Trump‚ they are more likely to explore third-party options or stay home altogether.Commenting on the WSJ poll results‚ a spokesman for the Trump campaign told WSJ‚ Our coalition message to black and Hispanic communities this election is simple: If you want strong borders‚ safe neighborhoods‚ rising wages‚ quality jobs‚ school choice and the return of the strongest economy in over 60 years‚ then vote for Donald J. Trump.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPMichael Bocian‚ a Democratic pollster who conducted the WSJ poll‚ said that in many election cycles‚ black voters at first appear cold to the Democratic nominee before coming around and voting blue in November. That said‚ Biden is further off than where we have seen Democrats in the past‚ Bocian remarked.Biden was blasted during the 2020 campaign when he said that black voters aint black if they were considering backing Trump. The Democratic candidate later apologized for his comment‚ saying‚ I shouldnt have been such a wise guy.

School Drops Investigation Into Star Basketball Player Charged With Rape‚ Citing Lack Of Evidence

A star basketball player at the University of Illinois was suspended after a woman accused him of sexual assault‚ but the school has now dropped its own investigation into the athlete.Terrence Shannon Jr. was suspended from the Illinois basketball team after he was charged with rape in Kansas‚ the Associated Press reported earlier this year. Shannon successfully lobbied a U.S. District Court judge to overturn the suspension and allow him to start playing again‚ and now the university has ended its attempt to discipline the athlete‚ citing a lack of evidence.Shannon was charged with rape on December 5 by prosecutors in Douglas County‚ Kansas‚ after a woman claimed that he put his hands under her skirt and violated her. The alleged incident occurred on September 9‚ 2023‚ while Shannon and a teammate were at a bar after attending Illinois football game against Kansas. The woman claimed Shannon whom she identified after searching the schools online basketball team roster called her over and then grabbed her buttocks before reaching under her skirt to touch her sexually‚ the AP reported.A graduate assistant for the basketball team assigned to drive Shannon and his teammate to Kansas and chaperone them said he was near Shannon the entire night in question and never saw anything the woman described in her allegations‚ the AP report noted. After the charges were filed‚ the University of Illinois suspended Shannon from the team‚ and he missed six games. Judge Colleen Lawless ruled on January 19 that the university had violated Shannons civil rights and deprived him of his protected property interests by suspending him without due process. She noted that Shannon was supporting several family members and his suspension jeopardized his chances of being one of the first players to be drafted by the NBA and to make money through endorsements allowed by the NCAAs name‚ image‚ and likeness policy.Plaintiffs participation in sports is vital to the development of his career as well as his current and future economic opportunities considering plaintiffs intention to declare for the 2024 NBA Draft‚ Lawless wrote in her ruling‚ the AP reported. Prior to his suspension‚ plaintiff was projected to be a lottery pick in the NBA. His participation in future games impact his prospects in the draft and his earning potential. On April 5‚ Illinois sent a memo to Shannon‚ his accuser‚ and university officials stating that it would not follow through on disciplinary proceedings against the star player. a determination was made that the evidence available to [the Office for Student Conflict Resolution] at this time is not sufficient to allow a reasonable hearing panel to find [Shannon] in violation of the Student Code sections identified in the allegation notice‚ the schools director of its Office for Student Conflict Resolution wrote. For example‚ access to the complainant‚ the complainants witness and the complete Lawrence Police Department file was not available to the investigator.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPThe complainant has not indicated an intent to participate in a hearing before a hearing panel at this time‚ the school administrator continued. As a result‚ the process has concluded‚ charges have been dropped‚ and no disciplinary action will be taken against [Shannon] at this time. The school did‚ however‚ say that it may bring disciplinary proceedings against Shannon should new substantial evidence come to light.Shannon still faces charges in Kansas. His attorney gave a statement to ABC 7 in December saying Shannon is innocent.Since September‚ when these allegations surfaced‚ Terrence has cooperated with law enforcement throughout the investigation‚ declaring his innocence from the beginning‚ the attorney said. Now‚ several months later‚ my office learned that formal charges were filed against him [in December] in Lawrence‚ KS. In less than 24 hours‚ my client responded‚ and he voluntarily surrendered to local authorities for processing and release. Terrence is innocent of these charges‚ and he intends to take his case to trial.Shannons team was ranked 14th in the nation and second in the Big Ten conference‚ with Shannon averaging 21.7 points per game‚ according to the AP.

Instagram Will Blur Nude Images Sent To Teens To Curb Sextortion

Instagram will start automatically blurring nude photos sent via private messaging for account holders younger than 18‚ per an announcement from its parent company‚ Meta.In addition to blurring images containing nudity‚ the popular social media platform will prompt users to think twice before sending nude images. The app will also show a notification to adult users‚ encouraging them to turn the feature on for their accounts. The new feature is likely a response to increased public pressure from critics who say social media companies should be doing more to protect children from online harm. Meta also said the feature would help protect minors from sextortion‚ or the practice of scammers sending nude images to children in an effort to get them to send photos back. While people overwhelmingly use DMs to share what they love with their friends‚ family or favorite creators‚ sextortion scammers may also use private messages to share or ask for intimate images‚ Meta shared Thursday in a blog post. The new feature will make it so any images containing nudity will be automatically blurred‚ and a prompt will ask the user if theyd like to view it.Well also show them a message encouraging them not to feel pressure to respond‚ with an option to block the sender and report the chat‚ Meta said. The company also said severe action is taken against any platform users who are determined to be engaging in sextortion. The users have their accounts removed and steps are taken to prevent them from making new profiles‚ Meta said. If warranted‚ the user may also be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and local authorities.Meta also said it has increased the data it shares with Lantern‚ an online child safety program.Metas proposed device-side safety measures within its encrypted environment is encouraging‚ John Shehan‚ SVP at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children‚ said in a statement provided by Meta. We are hopeful these new measures will increase reporting by minors and curb the circulation of online child exploitation.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPThe move comes after Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg attended Senate hearings in January‚ which included testimonies from families of victims who experienced abuse online. Im sorry for everything youve all gone through. Nobody should have to go through what your families have suffered‚ Zuckerberg said at the time‚ as The Daily Wire previously reported. This is why we have invested so much and are going to continue industry-leading efforts to make sure that no one has to go through the types of things your families have suffered.

The 2024 Masters Begins: Will Tiger Woods Go On The Prowl At Augusta?

The 2024 Masters Begins: Will Tiger Woods Go On The Prowl At Augusta?

Adapted from Crain &;amp; Co.‚ April 11‚ 2024.Jake: The 2024 Masters begins today. Love him or hate him‚ Tiger Woods is the most impactful player to his sport in my lifetime and possibly ever. Theres a good argument there. And if this weekend is his last go around at the Masters‚ and regardless of how well he plays or if he makes the cut‚ I am just thankful I got to be around to watch his rise‚ his fall‚ and his rise again.Never before have I seen one man make a whole sport cool around the globe. He completely changed the way the game is played. He played the villain and the hero‚ made incredibly clutch shots in huge moments‚ and overcame adversity time and time again.Growing up in our house‚ I loved watching Tiger and my father loved rooting against him because of his on the course antics. He was a little bit different in the way that he handled himself. But it didnt matter how you felt about Tiger Woods: You were going to watch him. And thats the most important thing. We saw him make grown men melt in front of our eyes‚ and he took over the sporting world over and over.Has Tiger made some questionable choices in his past? Without a doubt. But that is all part of whats been the Tiger Woods Experience. And unfortunately‚ we will never see someone do what he has done in the game of golf again‚ or maybe any other sport. But in golf‚ they dont have to be concerned because Tigers already elevated the sport so much‚ from one poll to the other‚ that golf is here to stay in the forefront for the long haul.WATCH: Crain &;amp; Company on DailyWire+In the discussion of the most impactful player to their sport‚ no other players impact on the game of golf compares to Tigers and the way he elevated the sport in every aspect. (I emphasize player because the most impactful person to their sport is the person who invented it because without that‚ none of this would even be possible.) But is there anybody thats been more impactful than Tiger?David: Well‚ no. Now‚ he may not be the greatest athlete of all time. For example‚ Wayne Gretzky‚ who we mentioned earlier this week‚ is just head and shoulders above everyone who has ever played hockey. But if youre going to use the word impactful‚ then it would have to be Tiger Woods. It just so happens that when Tiger was coming around and dominating‚ we were of the age we were interested and able to see his career unfold. Thats always going to be a part of our upbringing. But to prove his impact‚ you can look at the data when it comes to the sport. And I think hes one of the first billionaire athletes as well‚ certainly the first billionaire golfer. We should be thankful that hes going to be competing in this Masters. I dont know how well he will do‚ and I dont know if hell make the cut though his odds did improve overnight. They were +12‚000 Wednesday and +10‚000 today (Thursday). But it was just February 2021 when Tiger got in his car accident and people wondered if he would ever even walk again. And now‚ hes going to be walking the greens at Augusta National this week. So for that‚ we should be thankful.Jake: Blaine‚ is Tiger going to win? Is he going to make the cut?Blaine: When it comes to the Masters‚ you just want to be close. You want to be in shooting range on Sunday where you can make a run. And I dont think people realize how dominant Tiger was during his run. Looking at stats‚ for Scottie Scheffler to catch Tigers total weeks spent at number one‚ he would need to be at the top every week for 12 years and three days.Jake: Well‚ enjoy your pimento cheese sandwiches‚ fathers and sons‚ and lets see if Tiger can go on the prowl once again in Augusta.* * *Jake Crain is co-host ofCrain &;amp; Company‚the Daily Wires sports show hosted by former athletes and coaches Jake Crain‚ Blain Crain‚ and David Cone. Bidens Former Chief Of Staff Wants Him To Stop Talking About Bridges

Former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain wishes President Joe Biden would stop talking about bridges and focus more of his attention on economic issues.Bidens former top man told POLITICO that while there was certainly nothing wrong with Biden talking about infrastructure‚ even the greatest accomplishments might not move the needle if the American people were worried about day-to-day issues like the cost of gas‚ groceries‚ and rent.I think the president is out there too much talking about bridges‚ Klain lamented. He does two or three events a week where hes cutting a ribbon on a bridge. And heres a bridge. Like I tell you‚ if you go into the grocery store‚ you go to the grocery store and‚ you know‚ eggs and milk are expensive‚ the fact that theres a f**king bridge is not Klain went on to argue that a focus on local infrastructure projects might be more effective for a candidate running for Congress who was trying to show how effective he had been in bringing federal funding home to his district but did not have the same impact to someone running for another term in the White House.Hes not a congressman. Hes not running for Congress. I think its kind of a fools errand. I think that [it] also doesnt get covered that much because‚ look‚ its a f**king bridge. Like its a bridge‚ and how interesting is the bridge? Its a little interesting but its not a lot interesting‚ he added.Klains advice was for Biden to stick to the economy but not the current economy so much as the one he planned to foster in a second term. The presidents most effective economic message is contrast around whose side are you on‚ and compassion for the [pinch] of family budgets‚ and his agenda to bring down costs and raise incomes and that lauding achievements especially ones with abstract benefits is less persuasive with voters‚ Klain explained.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPBiden may yet face an uphill battle even if he takes Klains advice‚ as recent polling suggests more Americans believe the economy was better prior to Biden taking office in 2021.Even an informal poll done during a live MSNBC segment resulted in everyone surveyed saying that the economy was better under former President Donald Trump.WATCH:Raise your hand if you think President Trump';s policies on the economy would be better for your family pic.twitter.com/5WqShG0mlZ Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) April 10‚ 2024

Democrat Tries To Spin Bad Inflation Numbers‚ But MSNBC Cuts Away To More Bad Inflation Numbers

Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) joined MSNBC on Wednesday to tout President Joe Bidens record on the economy specifically pointing to inflation and saying that it was down and claimed that disinformation was the reason so many Americans werent seeing that progress.Clyburn was still at it when Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski who agreed with Clyburn that disinformation was certainly a problem broke in to point out the fact that inflation had risen more than expected in the last month.WATCH:Oops. Democratic US Rep. Jim Clyburn claims on MSNBC that the Biden administration has inflation under control seconds before news breaks that prices rose more than expected last month. pic.twitter.com/Mz8K1XxlsL TV News Now (@TVNewsNow) April 11‚ 2024And so the inflation rates are down‚ Clyburn began. And peoples incomes are up. Unemployment is on the decrease. And although we see the prices at the stores costing more money‚ people are in fact earning greater incomes. So what weve got to do is make sure that people see the policies of Biden administration‚ how they affect their everyday lives and get them to see in his policies that which is real‚ not what they may hear on social media‚ Clyburn continued‚ arguing that disinformation on social media platforms was one of the main reasons people didnt believe the Biden economy was working in their favor.Brzezinski echoed Clyburns concerns about the impact of disinformation‚ but then shared a headline showing the most recent Consumer Price Index data which revealed a greater-than-expected increase in the inflation rate for the month of March: 3.5%‚ the highest increase in 6 months.Theres also a lack of validation that these voters feel‚ Brzezinski said. And Im going to bring in Andrew Ross Sorkin right now because we just got breaking news the Consumer Price Index increased at a faster-than-expected pace last month‚ a signal that inflation remains stubbornly high.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPDespite efforts made by the Biden administration and surrogates to suggest otherwise‚ the American people also remain largely unconvinced that Bidenomics is working for them. Polls both formal and informal suggest that most prefer the economy under former President Donald Trump.WATCH:Raise your hand if you think President Trump';s policies on the economy would be better for your family pic.twitter.com/5WqShG0mlZ Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) April 10‚ 2024

Biden Admin To Drop $1 Million To Study Latina Resistance And Intra Minority Solidarity

The National Science Foundation (NSF)‚ the government agency tasked with promoting scientific progress‚ will allocate over a million taxpayer dollars to diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion efforts to study Latina resistance and intraminority solidarity. The NSF‚ which controls $9.9 billion of federal money and exists to promote the progress of science‚ advance the national health‚ and secure the national defense‚ pledged $498‚271 to a three-year study at Loyola University Maryland focused on Latinas resistance behaviors in engineering programs at predominantly white institutions as part of its broader diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion (DEI) agenda. It granted another $618‚465 to support a study at the University of Washington centered around promoting intraminority solidarity‚ particularly looking into how different framings of racism influence Asian Americans intraminority solidarity with Black Americans. An agency spokesman defended the studies to The Daily Wire‚ saying the projects are both worthy of support. Each proposal submitted to the U.S. National Science Foundation is reviewed by science and engineering experts well-versed in their discipline or field of expertise‚ the spokesman said. All proposals submitted to NSF are reviewed according to two merit review criteria: Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts. These awards reflect NSFs statutory mission and have been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundations intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria. The stated goal of the Latina resistance study is centered around oppressive structures in society. The disparities in [Latinas] engineering access and attainment are the result of historically oppressive racist and sexist structures embedded in STEM space that perpetuate sexism and racism‚ the description of the federally-funded study claims. Guided by a combination of LatCrit theory of resistance‚ intersectionality‚ and cultural wealth model (CWM)‚ the goal of this project is to investigate how Latinas choose to engage in various resistance behaviors. This project aims to investigate how Latinas choose to engage in various resistance behaviors in different engineering cultures and campus climates and how these different cultures and campus climates influence their resistance‚ the description goes on to add. The funding will specifically be granted to Qi Shi‚ the Director of the universitys Center for Equity‚ Leadership‚ and Social Justice in Education. Shi did not respond to a request for comment. The other study‚ on intraminority solidarity‚ is aimed at analyzing allyship between minority groups. It explores whether framing racism against Black Americans as the result of anti-Blackness increases Asian Americans sense of solidarity with Black Americans‚ compared to framing racism as the result of White supremacy‚ a description of the project explains. Understanding how different framings for intergroup conflict affect allyship from members of other minority groups is important for building a more comprehensive understanding of intergroup relations. The grant went to Sapna Cheryan‚ a professor at the University of Washingtons Department of Psychology. Cheryan did not respond to a request for comment. The two studies are just a small sampling of the DEI efforts thatve been funded by the federal government. The Biden administrations Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is set to spend nearly $800‚000 to study the effect of structural racism on kidney health‚ utilizing critical health praxis to apply an anti-racism lens to the field of health. The HHS has also funded an inclusive teen pregnancy program for transgender boys to the tune of nearly $700‚000 taxpayer dollars. The program intends to reduce internalized transphobia and affirm the gender identity of children as young as 14 years old.Millions of taxpayer dollars have been allocated to highly ideological DEI efforts as the Biden administration has worked to embed leftwing ideology throughout the government through executive orders.Former President Donald Trump has pledged that he will gut the federal bureaucracy through executive orders of his own which aim to remove civil service protections from bureaucrats who occupy a position that impacts policymaking. We will pass critical reforms making every executive branch employee fireable by the President of the United States‚ Trump said at a rally‚ touting the plan. The deep state must be brought to heel.Biden hopes to preempt this move and recently implemented a policy intended to strengthen the civil service protections enjoyed by federal bureaucrats. Trump and his allies are still preparing to gut the bureaucracy‚ however‚ with the Heritage Foundations Project 2025 assembling a personnel database to take the place of outgoing bureaucrats.

Yale Students Threaten Hunger Strike If Anti-Israel Demands Are Not Met

Anti-Israel students at Yale University are threatening to go on a hunger strike if the school does not commit to divest from weapons manufacturers contributing to Israels assault on Palestine by Friday morning‚ they warned in a letter to the universitys president. If these demands are not met by the morning of 4/12/2024‚ we will go on a hunger strike‚ the students wrote to President Peter Salovey. We will risk our bodily health and wellbeing in ways that mirror only a fraction of the absolute devastation that Palestinians are suffering right now‚ until you do. Yales complicity in genocide must end.In the wake of Israels war against Hamas for brutally massacring more than 1‚000 people on October 7‚ the letter calls the United States the empire that is funding the military conquest and colonization of Palestine and accused the universitys investments of profiting from this mass ethnic cleansing. Our existence in this University and this country are ones defined by necropolitics‚ the students continued. Our lives here exist as they do because of the investment in the deaths of Palestinians by Yale and the US government. The students claimed they exhausted every mode possible of making their voices heard without the university making the changes they requested. The students cite various conferences‚ talks‚ meetings‚ and protests that they say failed to elicit a response from the administrators. You flaunt free speech as a protected right on this campus but treat our free speech as if it holds no real weight‚ the letter reads. Our free speech demands a response from you.In a now-deleted post on the Instagram account created for the strike‚ the students solicited donations for life-giving aid and medical support to help strike participants.Yale students planning a hunger strike solicited donations in a now-deleted post. The letter also accuses Yale of going against its commitment to make investment decisions that incorporate the full costs of climate change. The first 60 days of Israeli bombardment has released more GHG emissions than the annual carbon emissions of twenty individual countries and the carbon cost of rebuilding Palestine will exceed the annual emissions of over 130 individual countries combined‚ the letter reads.Citing Yale adopting a policy in 2018 of not investing in assault weapons‚ the students called on Yale to divest from all weapons manufacturing and military suppliers.Just like domestic shootings‚ the Israeli military causes the Israeli military causes incontrovertible societal harm and grave social injury as they decimate the educational infrastructure of Palestine. The students go on to demand that the president discuss plans for divesting in an upcoming Yale Corporation board meeting. The letter was signed by a group of 12 graduate and undergraduate students‚ according to Yale Daily News. The Instagram post was in collaboration with Yale Law Students for Justice in Palestine‚ Yalies for Palestine‚ and Yale Graduate Students for Palestine. The university is reviewing its investment policies‚ according to Yale Daily News which cited a February 2024 statement from the university confirming there is a review to extend the 2018 assault weapons policy to cover manufacturers who effectively retail to the general public.Yale University did not respond to a request for comment.

Chinese Immigrant Blasts David Hogg: Go To China To See How Gun Control Works

A Chinese immigrant who is running for U.S. Congress slammed far-left gun control activist David Hogg this week at gun control debate‚ telling him that he needed to go to communist China to see what the impacts of total gun control are.Lily Tang Williams‚ who is running as a Republican in New Hampshires 2nd Congressional District‚ confronted Hogg on Wednesday at Dartmouth University.I am a Chinese immigrant who survived communism‚ she began. And under Mao‚ 40 million people were starving to death after he sold the communism to them. And 20 million people died‚ murdered‚ during his cultural revolution. So my question to you‚ David‚ is that can you guarantee me‚ a gun owner‚ tonight‚ our government in the U.S.‚ in D.C.‚ will never‚ never become a tyrannical government? she asked. Can you guarantee that to me?Theres no way I can ever guarantee that any government will not be tyrannical‚ Hogg admitted.Well‚ then the debate on gun control is over because I will never give up my guns‚ she responded. Never. Never. And you should go to China to see how gun control works for dictatorship of the CCP.CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APPWATCH:WATCH: Gun control advocate David Hogg schooled by Chinese immigrant I will never give up my guns. Even though I disagree with David‚ but we shook hands at the end respectfully. I urge him to do some research on Maos Red Guards. I am hoping someday‚ he will get it.Related: This Is Embarrassing: March For Our Lives Co-Founder Shreds David Hogg For Pillow Grift Company
