Kamala Harris Addresses Speculation That She’s Planning To Run For California Governor

Since Kamala Harris’ resounding defeat on Election Day, there have been rumors swirling about what political ambitions she might pursue in the future. Among the most common possibilities for the former senator and ex-vice president involves a gubernatorial bid in her home state of California. A reporter prompted her for a response, but the notoriously babbling Democrat was suspiciously coy. Californians, beware! Kamala didn’t say no when asked if she would run for governor. pic.twitter.com/ugIATAFk56 — Magnetic Norse (@MagneticNorse) February 8, 2025 As The Hill reported: “I have been home for two weeks and three days. My plans are to be in touch with my community, to be in touch with the leaders and figure out what I can do to support them,” she told reporters Friday after touring areas impacted by the Palisades wildfire. “I am here and would be here regardless of the office I hold, because it is the right thing to do, which is to show up in your community and thank the folks who are on the ground,” she added. It’s probably for the best that she didn’t make an announcement, considering how many Americans seem to think she should retreat back into private life following her involvement in the Biden administration — including a disastrous presidential campaign. BREAKING: Attorney General Rob Bonta is out. He won’t run for CA governor in 2026. Instead, he’s throwing his weight behind Kamala Harris. Because nothing says “fixing California” like backing an incompetent VP.pic.twitter.com/puulLrHRQi — Andrew Hart (@realahart) February 5, 2025 Nobody cared that Kamala was at the Lakers game. She’ll never be the governor pic.twitter.com/9vwDCf0EvO — jay plemons (@jayplemons) February 7, 2025 As Vice President Kamala Harris couldn’t make it to Pacific Palisades, but as a future candidate for governor of California, she has all the time in the world. pic.twitter.com/fhQSkVVGfi — Kevin Dalton (@TheKevinDalton) February 6, 2025 While current Gov. Gavin Newsom is certainly having approval-rating problems of his own, it remains to be seen whether the perennially unpopular Harris is too politically toxic even for far-left Golden State voters. She kept growing more unpopular even after the election, as the Economic Times reported late last year: The popularity of US Vice President Kamala Harris has eventually taken a significant hit, revealed a recent Economist/YouGov poll which was conducted in the month of December, reported The Sacramento Bee. According to The Sacramento Bee, her favorability rating has eventually dropped to 43% while 52% are viewing her pretty unfavorably which is a sharp decline from a peak of 49% in the month of August during the Democratic National Convention. Whereas, during recent days, in comparison, US President Joe Biden holds a lower favorability at 38% while US President- elect Donald Trump enjoys a favorable rating of 49%. Here’s some additional coverage of the criticism surrounding Harris’ possible campaign:

BREAKING: President Trump Stripping NY AG Letitia James, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and Former Sec. of State Antony Blinken Next!

BREAKING: President Trump Stripping NY AG Letitia James, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and Former Sec. of State Antony Blinken Next!

Just yesterday, President Trump stripped Joe Biden of all security clearances and briefings: “YOU’RE FIRED!” President Trump FULLY REVOKES Joe Biden’s Security Clearances! And that came on the heels of 51 other Deep State actors getting stripped a few days earlier: President Trump Revokes Security Clearances of 51 Deep State Actors! But it's not over. And that's a good thing! Because quite frankly, I can't fathom why ANY of these people should still have security clearances and receive confidential briefings in the first place! Now comes word three more are on the chopping block:  NY AG Letitia James, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and Former Sec. of State Antony Blinken. ?BREAKING: President Trump is set to strip security clearances from New York AG Letitia James, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. pic.twitter.com/LaMI22K2wj — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) February 8, 2025 There are also reports that James and Bragg have been banned from entering Federal Buildings: BREAKING: President Trump just banned Letitia James & Alvin Bragg from entering federal buildings. — Derrick Evans (@DerrickEvans4WV) February 8, 2025 The NY Post confirms all reports are true: President Trump has ordered security clearances stripped from a new hit list of antagonists. Just days after revoking Joe Biden’s access to classified information and secure federal buildings — “because I don’t trust him” — Trump said his new top target is ex-Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who orchestrated the “Dirty 51” letter from former intelligence officials on the eve of the 2020 election. The infamous missive falsely claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop, the contents of which The Post revealed, was Russian disinformation. Blinken’s security clearances will be revoked, following the same presidential directive aimed at Biden and the 51 ex-spooks last week, Trump told The Post in an exclusive interview. “Bad guy. Take away his passes,” he said of Blinken. Even as Trump scores numerous victories in White House return — don’t forget the whistleblowers “This is to take away every right they have [revoking security clearances] including they can’t go into [federal] buildings.” New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg join the new group of eight Democrat foes Trump plans to punish by revoking any access to classified information and barring their entry to federal facilities. The president said they all will be given “exactly the same” punishment as Biden and the Dirty 51 as part of his administration’s vow to hold government officials accountable for actions he regards as election interference or the mishandling of classified information. Bragg prosecuted Trump last year in the so-called “hush money” case and James brought a civil fraud case against the president for supposedly exaggerating his wealth when applying for bank loans. The move is regarded as more symbolic than consequential for the New York lawfare duo. But it could hamper them in carrying out their official duties by prohibiting them from entering courthouses, prisons, and law enforcement facilities in Foley Square in lower Manhattan, including the Thurgood Marshall and Daniel Patrick Moynihan courthouses, the Metropolitan Correctional Center, and the Jacob Javits Federal Building which houses the FBI’s New York field office. They also will not be able to set foot in the US Attorney’s offices for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Absolutely huge news and I'm so glad to see President Trump moving to swiftly and decisively! But for the life of me, I can't figure out why Bragg or James or Blinken would be getting these clearances and briefings in the first place!

REPORT: DOGE Has Accessed FEMA ‘Sensitive’ Data, Proof of Politically Motivated Disaster Response Pending

Possibly one of the greatest corrupt tragedies of the entire Biden-era occurred just a short time before the election when back-to-back hurricanes slammed into the United States. Before that, there was the horrendous fire on Maui. These “natural” disasters… where do you even begin unpacking that loaded phrase? And then, FEMA’s response — or lack thereof. It was only a short few months ago that FEMA, right in front of the entire nation, not only failed Americans suffering in harms way… But in far too many reported instances to be comfortable chalking up to bad reporting or one-off instances, FEMA was apparently time and time again caught THWARTING homegrown disaster response efforts. If you’ll remember we reported when a fired crew leader blew the whistle on systemic negligence towards Trump-supporters, even as FEMA tried with all their might to blame her and her alone as an isolated bad apple. Fired Crew Leader: FEMA’s “Best Practices” Included Skipping Over Pro-Trump Homes, Not Isolated Incident Now, just three weeks into President Trump's second term, we may be about to get some hard answers on the questions surrounding FEMA's lackluster response. Remember, FEMA was frequently accused during their response to North Carolina and Florida of intentionally directing teams on the ground to AVOID HOUSES that were obviously Trump-supporters. Now, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has reportedly gained access to the 'sensitive' disaster data for these events, buried inside the FEMA systems. And the validity of those very alarming claims may be close to having the proof of legitimacy after so much gaslighting from Biden, FEMA officials, and the news media. ? #BREAKING: Elon Musk and DOGE have now gained access to FEMA’s systems We MUST find out where the money meant for the people of Maui and Western North Carolina *actually* went, @elonmusk. Because most of it sure as hell didn’t make it to the hands of victims. pic.twitter.com/bgfysnpf5u — Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) February 8, 2025 If true, all the gaslighting we endured from the Biden White House, his FEMA Director, and the media may be about to come into crystal clear focus with raw data, thanks to the DOGE team. At the time, there was some fairly damning evidence arguing that the accusations were real. Remember this? EXCLUSIVE: Internal messages obtained by The Daily Wire show a FEMA official ordered relief workers in Florida not to help houses with Trump signs pic.twitter.com/o73ejUuYUG — Daily Wire (@realDailyWire) November 8, 2024 FEMA officials are likely shaking in their boots right now -- particularly since it was only a few weeks ago that President Trump was openly leaning towards doing away with FEMA all together, anyway! Elon Musk's DOGE team has gained access to FEMA’s network, causing major panic within the agency. A small team has gained access to FEMA’s network, unlocking private and sensitive information. FEMA staffers confirm that Elon Musk’s DOGE team is now digging into data on FEMA… pic.twitter.com/DKNuCiqrwG — Shadow of Ezra (@ShadowofEzra) February 8, 2025 Weeks after President Trump said he was strongly considering doing away with FEMA all together, DOGE is now pouring through the raw data within the FEMA system, according to a report by the Washington Post: Less than two weeks after President Donald Trump said his administration would consider making the Federal Emergency Management Agency “go away,” representatives of Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service were at the agency and reviewing the grant programs it uses to help communities prepare for and respond to disasters, according to four current and two former FEMA officials. The presence of DOGE, or Department of Government Efficiency, at FEMA has caused uncertainty and confusion, raising fears that Trump could soon follow through on his pledge to dismantle the agency, as his administration is doing with the U.S. Agency for International Development. According to the officials, a small team that does not have security clearance has access to FEMA’s network, which contains the private and sensitive information of tens of thousands of disaster victims. For example, FEMA officials said that on Feb. 5, Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old former college student who goes by the moniker “Big Balls” online and now works for Musk, was given a FEMA badge. The officials, like others interviewed for this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity because of fears of professional retaliation. In January, Trump issued an executive order to establish a 20-member Federal Emergency Management Agency Review Council, stating that it’s crucial to evaluate “whether FEMA’s bureaucracy in disaster response ultimately harms the agency’s ability to successfully respond.” Marn'i Washington, from our earlier posted story, was claimed by FEMA to be responsible for the isolated incident in the controversy surrounding politically motivated choices for disaster response teams on the ground after the hurricanes hit North Carolina and Florida. But Washington was clear that she was being scapegoated, and that the orders came down from the top leadership in FEMA in Washington DC. She claimed that FEMA was simply lying when they claimed no systemic negligence to respond to "Trump supporters" with visible Trump flags in the hurricane aftermath. If those accusations were true -- and our previous reporting seemed already to indicate that it was -- DOGE should be able to verify that info rather simply. Shawn Hendrix has a good list of questions that would be good for Elon Musk's team to get answered if they have access to the FEMA information. @DOGE is headed to @fema Please share and tag them I have specific places we should have answers on. If it’s as bad as I think I may need to turn off the Internet for a while. Share tag repost pic.twitter.com/XHl179xDna — Shawn Hendrix (@TheShawnHendrix) February 8, 2025 How many FEMA personnel were in the disaster zones week by week?  Was there true response, or was FEMA purposefully dragging their feet -- as so many have reported? What charities received money via FEMA funding in order to operate in the disaster zones? Where did the money go to that didn't make it into the hands of those in the disaster zone of North Carolina in particular? If the reports are true, we may have serious answers to those questions very soon. BREAKING: Elon Musk and DOGE have gained access to FEMA. pic.twitter.com/LQzgMfjo8h — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) February 8, 2025 President Trump and Elon's DOGE are working at such a breakneck speed that they are making more headway than most of us can keep up with. Even things like this -- long promised to be a focal point for a Trump presidency -- seem to surprise us simply because they are covering so much ground so fast Being that as it is, this is a developing story and information is scant at the moment. We will bring you more information when it become available.

Researchers Defang Deadly Hospital Superbugs Using a Pinch of Turmeric

A new study evaluated a low-cost yet effective way to combat bacterial resistance using curcumin–the natural yellow plant compound in turmeric. In 2017, a tragic death in a Nevada hospital was linked to a new strain of bacteria that had developed a resistance to 26 different antibiotics. Called ‘superbugs’, such antibiotic-resistant bacteria (including MRSA) remains […] The post Researchers Defang Deadly Hospital Superbugs Using a Pinch of Turmeric appeared first on Good News Network.

After Indulging Unilateral Biden, PBS Frets Over Strongman Trump, ‘Guardrails’

Just in time to stir up resistance to the Trump Administration’s whirlwind of government change, PBS is beginning a series called “On Democracy,” which aims to go beyond the day to day news “to look at big questions about the changing laws, institutions and norms.” PBS News Hour co-host Amna Nawaz conducted the series’ first interview on Thursday’s edition, with Barton Gellman from the "nonpartisan" legal group Brennan Center for Justice. If you believe that, you haven't look at the campaign donations of Brennan Center employees -- it's a long list of (D) candidates and PACs. It may have been the most slanted segment in a program filled with fear of President Trump and Trump advisor Elon Musk, which included co-host Geoff Bennett’s testy exchange with Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) and Bennett's pushing of an alarmist climate study to counter Trump’s move to “dismantle U.S. efforts to fight climate change." Co-anchor Amna Nawaz: The first two weeks alone of the Trump administration have brought dramatic proposals and some unprecedented changes in our systems of government. Tonight, we begin a new series of interviews called On Democracy, taking a step back to look at big questions around our laws, institutions and norms and how they're changing. We begin with Barton Gellman, a longtime journalist and senior adviser at the Brennan Center for Justice. That's a nonpartisan think tank at New York University's School of Law….I want to begin with these tabletop exercises you and your colleagues ran last May and June role-playing both a Democratic and Republican potential presidency…. (Let’s hope those particular "tabletop exercises" -- a version of the "election simulation" role-playing game beloved by liberal journalists -- were not as revealing as journalist Jeffrey Toobin’s infamous video meeting with his former New Yorker colleagues.) Barton Gellman: So we did five different tabletop exercises. Two of them were called Everything Everywhere All at Once. And those are the ones that Trump is going through with, in which he is launching attacks on multiple fronts all over the federal government against the government itself. And he is doing so baldly in defiance of the law and in some cases the Constitution....He tried to stop $3 trillion of payments that Congress had appropriated, when it is Congress under Article I of the Constitution that has the power of the purse, not the president. He has fired inspectors general. This resembles basically the worst case we had in our tabletop exercises. Nawaz: Was there anything that you didn't include in your exercises that you have seen in the last couple of weeks that's particularly concerned you? Gellman: We did not anticipate that Trump would off-load so much presidential power onto a billionaire in the person of Elon Musk…. (Related: Both the PBS News Hour and PBS’s Washington Week have referred to Musk as “the richest man in the world.” Wouldn’t true wokeness demand the phrase be “the richest person in the world,” or does “the richest man in the world” sound more comic-book villainous?) After asking Gellman is the courts are "sort of the most robust guardrail?" Nawaz fretted about an American descent into authoritarianism. Never mind that PBS ignored four years of unilateral moves by the Biden Administration on college loan forgiveness and COVID vaccine mandates. Nawaz: We need to underscore here we are talking about a democratically elected leader in our president right now. Half of all voters did vote for him, not despite what he said and promised to do, but because of what he said and promised to do. Does this say to you that America is in sort of a strongman era, that all of these actions that concern you are exactly what people wanted to see? Gellman: There is some percentage of the electorate that likes a strongman, that likes authoritarians, that likes the idea that, let's get someone who's going to cut through all the nonsense and get things done. But that's always a minority. I don't think it's even a majority of MAGA. People felt that the country was on the wrong path….. This hysteria-inducing segment was brought to you in part by American Cruise Lines. A transcript is available, click “Expand.” PBS News Hour 2/6/25 7:24:52 p.m. (ET) Amna Nawaz: The first two weeks alone of the Trump administration have brought dramatic proposals and some unprecedented changes in our systems of government. Tonight, we begin a new series of interviews called On Democracy, taking a step back to look at big questions around our laws, institutions and norms and how they're changing. We begin with Barton Gellman, a longtime journalist and senior adviser at the Brennan Center for Justice. That's a nonpartisan think tank at New York University's School of Law.  Bart Gellman, welcome back to the "News Hour." Thanks for being with us. Barton Gellman, Brennan Center for Justice: Thank you. Amna Nawaz: Bart, I want to begin with these tabletop exercises you and your colleagues ran last May and June role-playing both a Democratic and Republican potential presidency. On the Republican side, you looked at what would happen if Donald Trump came into office and made good on a lot of the public promises and pledges he made, how the system of checks and balances would work. So how does what you have seen over the last two weeks-plus line up with what you saw back in those exercises? Barton Gellman: So we did five different tabletop exercises. Two of them were called Everything Everywhere All at Once. And those are the ones that Trump is going through with, in which he is launching attacks on multiple fronts all over the federal government against the government itself. And he is doing so baldly in defiance of the law and in some cases the Constitution. He is firing people he doesn't have the power to fire. Or he's firing people without giving them hearings or reasons that are required by law. He tried to stop $3 trillion of payments that Congress had appropriated, when it is Congress under Article I of the Constitution that has the power of the purse, not the president. He has fired inspectors general. This resembles basically the worst case we had in our tabletop exercises. Amna Nawaz: Was there anything that you didn't include in your exercises that you have seen in the last couple of weeks that's particularly concerned you? Barton Gellman: Well, we did not anticipate that Trump would off-load so much presidential power onto a billionaire in the person of Elon Musk. We did not anticipate that a private citizen would be given access to the entire Office of Personnel Management files and the Treasury payment system that covers $3 trillion. We don't believe that's lawful, and I think it'll take a little time for courts to come to that conclusion. Amna Nawaz: That kind of access to government and sensitive and classified information by Elon Musk and his team, it's been described to us, especially with regards to what we have seen at the USAID, as state capture. Is that how you see it? And is that kind of thing easily replicable across other agencies? Barton Gellman: Look, if Elon Musk is going to go into any given agency and assert the power to take control of their computer system with system administrator privileges, that just gives enormous power to retrieve, create, and even alter data. And we don't know what he's doing with that. Some of that data would be potentially very valuable to Elon Musk's private interests. Is he making copies of it? Some of that data represents, for example, the questionnaires filled out by four million people who have classified clearances, in which they answer every kind of personal question there is, including what could be used to blackmail you. And that's in these files that he has access to now. Amna Nawaz: Limiting some of Musk's access, halting the freezing of federal funds, issuing injunctions on birthright citizenship, and so on, are the courts here, as you see it, sort of the most robust guardrail? Barton Gellman: Well, they are the only coordinate branch of government right now that is not fully under the control of Donald Trump and the Republican Party. So he's captured both houses of Congress. And although he has appointed a lot of judges in his first term, and although he has a very friendly Supreme Court sitting on top, the judges are still — and this is judges appointed by multiple presidents — are still trying to enforce basic rule of law. Trump is simply doing things that are flatly, on their face, illegal and seeing what happens. Amna Nawaz: Bart, if lawmakers, and specifically Republican lawmakers, aren't acting as the guardrails you expected to see, the courts themselves will take a while to play out here in terms of those cases. Are there other guardrails that you saw in your exercises or expected to see in real life that you haven't yet? Barton Gellman: Well, there are other guardrails. There are other points of leverage. Trump really cares about public opinion and his polling numbers. He really cares about the stock market. So, when he does something that crashes the market, he will pay a price for that. The idea that he would pardon all the criminals who rioted and mobbed at the Capitol on January 6, more than 60 percent of Americans disapprove of that. The fact that he then goes on to try to fire everyone in the Justice Department who participated in prosecuting those people also very unpopular. And I am expecting that there will be at some point a backlash against these sort of lawless actions. Amna Nawaz: You know, we need to underscore here we are talking about a democratically elected leader in our president right now. Half of all voters did vote for him, not despite what he said and promised to do, but because of what he said and promised to do. Does this say to you that America is in sort of a strongman era, that all of these actions that concern you are exactly what people wanted to see? Barton Gellman: There is some percentage of the electorate that likes a strongman, that likes authoritarians, that likes the idea that let's get someone who's going to cut through all the nonsense and get things done. But that's always a minority. I don't think it's even a majority of MAGA. People felt that the country was on the wrong path. People did not approve of Joe Biden. People were very worried about things like inflation. But Trump is not lowering the price of eggs. Trump is firing the watchdogs whose job it is to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. That's exactly what he claims to be trying to prevent, is waste, fraud, and abuse. And I just don't believe that there's a majority of Americans who said, yes, I want the president to come in and break the law. Amna Nawaz: Barton Gellman of the Brennan Center for Justice. Bart, thank you so much. It's good to speak with you. Barton Gellman: Thank you for having me.

In celebration of CNN departure, Mark Levin revisits Jim Acosta’s WORST moment

Mark Levin is doing his happy dance after CNN anchor Jim Acosta, a vehement Trump critic, has left the network where he’s worked since 2007. Levin says he won’t miss watching Acosta “[destroy] press conferences” and act in ways that can only be described as “truly obnoxious.” But for memory’s sake, he watches an old clip from a 2018 press conference, in which Acosta attempted to start a debate over illegal immigration with President Trump. “The caravan was not an invasion. It’s a group of migrants moving up from Central America towards the border. Why did you characterize it as such?” Acosta fired at President Trump. When Trump calmly responded that he considered the caravan an invasion and that they had a difference of opinion, Acosta accused him of “[demonizing] immigrants” and whined about a “campaign ad showing migrants climbing over walls.” Trump responded, “Honestly I think you should let me run the country; you run CNN, and if you did it well, your ratings would be better” before he tried to move on to other reporters. Acosta, however, continued to interject and talk above others even when President Trump told him “that’s enough” numerous times. Levin was and still is disgusted by the reporter's unacceptable behavior. “They never did this to Obama; they certainly never did it to Biden; they would never do it to a Democrat; they’d never do it to a liberal Republican,” he says. “[Acosta] is monopolizing the entire event. This is a press conference. What's the point of a presidential press conference? It's to inform the American people; it's not to get into a debate,” Levin condemns. “Jim Acosta is not interested in gleaning information for the American people; he's interested in making news.” “It’s so wonderful that he’s gone from CNN, and hopefully he’s gone forever from journalism,” he adds. Trump’s social media post following Acosta’s departure reveals that he feels the same way as Levin: “Wow, really good news! Jim Acosta, one of the worst and most dishonest reporters in journalistic history, a major sleazebag, has been relegated by CNN Fake News to the Midnight hour, 'Death Valley,' because of extraordinarily LOW RATINGS (and no talent!)," he wrote on Truth Social. To see the footage of Jim Acosta’s worst moment in his career, watch the clip above. USAID: A slush fund for the deep state

As I write this, President Trump is on the verge of shutting down the U.S. Agency for International Development. This will be one of the most important and essential moves of his presidency. Few institutions in modern history have operated with such sinister intent while positioning themselves as a force for good. When USAID collapses, it will be a victory for the American people. The agency provided tens of millions of dollars to the same organization linked to dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. For decades, USAID has been billed as the United States' primary vehicle for humanitarian and development assistance abroad. We're assured that its mission is noble: fostering economic growth, providing disaster relief, and supporting democracy-building initiatives. However, its actual mission is anything but noble. A vehicle for absolute chaos It involves supporting covert operations, regime-change efforts, and activities that align more with the CIA than with humanitarian initiatives. For far too long, USAID has served as a dangerous instrument of empire, one that has actively weakened democracy abroad while draining American taxpayers at home. To understand USAID’s true nature, one must start with its origins. The agency was established in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, ostensibly to assist developing nations in modernizing and alleviating poverty. But from the very beginning, the waters were poisoned. Former USAID Director John Gilligan admitted as much, stating, "At one time, many AID field offices were infiltrated from top to bottom with CIA people." This was no accident. USAID has long served as a hub for intelligence operations, shaping political movements and offering protection for various swamp creatures, one of whom will be discussed shortly. Forced sterilization One of USAID’s most notorious branches was its Office of Public Safety, which functioned throughout the 1960s and early 1970s. OPS presented itself as an organization dedicated to training foreign police forces in modern law enforcement techniques. In reality, it was a training ground for torturers. In Brazil, USAID-linked operatives taught police forces to refine their brutality, introducing methods that would later be classified as "enhanced interrogation" techniques. "Enhanced interrogation" is a more polite way of saying state-sanctioned sadism. The same techniques that would later be framed in legal terms during the War on Terror — stress positions, sensory deprivation, waterboarding — were initially described as "security assistance" to South American forces. The office was eventually shuttered in 1974, yet USAID’s role in such sordid operations never truly ended. Beyond its direct involvement in torture, the agency has also played a key role in population control efforts. In the 1960s, USAID began funding forced sterilization programs across the globe. Under the leadership of Dr. Reimert Thorolf Ravenholt, USAID’s Office of Population implemented mass sterilization campaigns in countries ranging from India to Peru. These programs often targeted impoverished communities, where women were subjected to sterilization procedures without informed consent. Worse, USAID funneled money to organizations that distributed defective contraceptives and IUDs, many of which caused severe harm or even death. While they marketed these programs as efforts to combat poverty, they were nothing more than eugenics under a different name. Aiding China In 2014, it was revealed that USAID had made a number of bungled, easily detected attempts to recruit anti-government activists in Cuba — including the creation of a "Cuban Twitter," launching a hip-hop festival, and staging an HIV workshop. These efforts resulted in the arrest of one American and the detainment and interrogation of a number of Cubans. More recently, USAID has been involved in questionable funding of controversial scientific research. The agency provided tens of millions of dollars to Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance, the same organization linked to dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Disguised as an academic grant, it was essentially a blank check for experiments that manipulated viral evolution, raising significant questions about what the U.S. government knew and when. Funding left-wing lunacy The agency has a notorious reputation for squandering taxpayer money on unsuccessful, even pointless, projects. Billions of dollars have been funneled into initiatives that produce little to no measurable success. In many cases, USAID has actually made conditions worse by fostering corruption and dependency rather than genuine economic growth. This fact is not lost on Richard Grenell. The former acting director of national intelligence and U.S. ambassador to Germany recently took to X to point a virtual finger at one of the biggest wasters of money: Samantha Power. A deep-state official and a puppet of the Obama administration, Power served as the USAID administrator until very recently. Grenell accused her of wasting excessive sums on extreme left-wing agendas that most Americans would actively oppose. He suggested that an investigation is long overdue. He's right. The American people deserve answers. They deserve the truth. You, the reader, deserve full transparency. This includes information about USAID’s connections to corrupt corporate interests. Behind the vague promise of "economic development," the agency has consistently acted as a gateway for U.S. corporations to exploit foreign markets. It has financed projects that benefit multinational agribusinesses, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical giants instead of the populations it claims to assist. For instance, in Ethiopia, USAID overlooked human rights violations while directing aid money into development initiatives that displaced thousands. The agency has consistently operated more as a tool of economic imperialism than as a humanitarian organization. End the madness When President Trump shuts down USAID, he will be doing the country a massive favor. He will eliminate a fraudulent, exploitative, intelligence-linked entity that has long since outlived any usefulness it may once have had. One might argue that it was never useful to begin with — unless, of course, you happen to be someone like Samantha Power. She's gone, and it's time her beloved agency went the same way. The notion that America should act as a global benefactor through an organization that consistently undermines its own interests is absurd. True humanitarian assistance should be voluntary and transparent, not a front for crime and coercion.
