He created this using individual words said by characters across different scenes. John previously created Picard singing a Christmas carol to Q using scenes from Star Trek: The Next Generation. This was hilarious as Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Q were not on friendly terms. John credited the use of software like FFmpeg, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, and even his cups of coffee for bringing the mash-up to life.
