Whatever Ronnie Dunn says you listen, even if you’re Parker McCollum. This past weekend at Boots In The Park in Norco, California was filled with great performances from Brooks & Dunn, Parker McCollum, Jackson Dean, Rodney Atkins, and more. Brooks and Dunn were the headliners, while Parker tore up the stage earlier in the night. Brooks & Dunn are one of the most successful duos in country music history, ever since they burst on the country music scene in 1991 with their debut single “Brand New Man,” and then followed it up with hits like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” and “Red Dirt Road.” McCollum is a Texas native who is nicknamed the “Gold Chain Cowboy,” which also happens to be the name of one of his albums featuring the platinum single “Pretty Heart.” He has been on a hot streak lately with his recent release of “What Kinda Man,” so when the legendary duo invited him back on stage for their performance of “Red Dirt Road,” the crowd must have known they were in for something special. Parker was clearly in his element during the fantastic performance of the iconic song. Parker looked a little confused, then maybe embarrassed. Whether that was the sentiment or not, it was a pretty funny moment between a couple of Texas boys, and it definitely gave off some father son energy. Ronnie is an old school dude.
