Deputies and Springfield police were called around 11:30 a.m. to a wooded area near South Limestone Street and I-70. A 911 caller reported finding a duffle bag that appeared to contain bones.
“I found some human remains. I fished this duffel bag out of bottom of the culvert there and I cut it open with a knife, there’s a human skull in there and a bunch of other bones,” an anonymous caller reported to dispatchers in a non-emergency phone call obtained in a public records request by News Center 7."

"Mark Redwine, 60, was sentenced Friday by La Plata County District Court Chief Judge Jeffrey Wilson, The Durango Herald reported.
Redwine was indicted in 2017 in the disappearance of Dylan Redwine, who was reported missing in November 2012 while on a court-ordered Thanksgiving visit to his father's home outside Durango in southwest Colorado. Dylan Redwine’s remains were found a few miles from his father’s home in 2013, and hikers found his skull in 2015."
