The Egg Shaped UFO Invasion of 1957

When the Pentagon's UAP Task Force released an initial report in April of 2023‚ UFO researchers expressed frustration that a figure allegedly showing the shapes of anomalous craft being reported had been redacted. But when former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick appeared before a congressional committee later that year‚ he brought the goods with him. He displayed a pie chart describing the various shapes of craft that had been reported‚ with a significant majority of them being depicted as "round" or "orbs." Many other less frequently seen shapes were listed as well‚ including triangles‚ cubes‚ and even classic saucers‚ described as discs. But there was one shape missing. There was no mention of egg-shaped UFOs.

An Interview With Frank Sidoris of Myles Kennedy &; The Conspirators/ Slash/ Mammoth WVH

Given that his style is effortless‚ filled with classic cool‚ big riffs‚ and gargantuan power chords‚ it’s a shock to think that Las Vegas native Frank Sidoris hasn’t yet released a solo record. Then again‚ considering he’s been holding court with Slash‚ Myles Kennedy‚ and‚ lately‚ Wolfgang Van Halen‚ maybe it’s not so shocking. Early on‚ Sidoris was a member of The Cab from 2011 to 2012 before the chance of a lifetime found him in Slash’s midst. But that wasn’t all‚ as he’s been playing alongside Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators as a permanent rhythm guitarist since 2012‚ too. How to get Golden Plumes in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Chocobos are a huge part of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth since the game sends Cloud and company into the wide open world after leaving Midgar‚ and you can customize your feathered friends with Golden Plumes. While you unlock the ability to customize your Chocobos with Golden Plumes very early in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth‚ the game isn’t super clear about where you can get them. Thankfully‚ obtaining Golden Plumes is easy and you can stock up on a ton of them without going too far off the beaten path. Here’s how you can start saving up for your next visit to the Chocobo Ranch. Where to Get Golden Plumes in FF7 Rebirth Golden Plumes are obtained from Chocobo-related activities in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The first way to get them is by completing Chocobo Intel missions in each region of the world‚ taming new Chocobos in the process. There’s only one Chocobo Intel mission per region (with some exceptions)‚ however‚ so you can’t rely on these to build up your Gol...

FF7 Rebirth Graphics vs Performance mode differences explained

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a great-looking game‚ but the combat feels buttery smooth at 60 frames per second. That’s why the choice between Graphics mode and Performance mode is so tough. You can’t go wrong with either one‚ but certain people will prefer one over the other. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Graphics Mode Explained Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Graphics mode prioritizes displaying graphics at 4K resolution. To achieve a 4K image‚ the game’s framerate is capped at 30 FPS. This is similar to how Final Fantasy 7 Remake was on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro‚ so your experience will be mostly the same if you’re coming from last-gen hardware and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is one of your first next-gen titles. However‚ if you’ve played Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on PlayStation 5 or PC‚ then you know how great the game’s combat feels at 60 FPS. Going back to 30 FPS can be rough‚ but if you want the sharpest possible picture‚ you’ll have...

Incredibly Rare Pink Elephant Calf Seen Playing In South African National Park

Seeing wild elephants on safari might be high on the bucket list of many‚ but tour operator Theo Potgieter and his guests recently had a 1 in 10‚000 experience when they witnessed an albino elephant calf playing in the water.Potgieter managed to capture video and images of the young bull‚ which he estimates to be around one year old‚ on February 9 in the Kruger National Park‚ South Africa and shared them on his social media page. While elephants can be rejected from their herd for being albino this little bull has family to play with.Image Courtesy of Theo PotgieterThe albino elephant calf appears pink due to a lack of the pigment melanin within the animal's skin cells. “Albinism in African elephants is by far more rare compared to Asian elephants. It is estimated that 1 out of 10‚000 births will result in an albino elephant being born” Potgieter told IFLScience. While some individuals with albinism can manage a perfectly healthy life‚ it does pose some potential medical issues for the young calf. Across the world in South America‚ a young anteater named Alvin is being monitored closely due to his albino fur and the harsh hot weather in the area. “They sadly have many challenges that face them. Not only does the harsh African sun and its glare affect them‚ but they are usually rejected by some or the majority of their family group.” Continued Potgieter.            While elephants can be rejected by the group‚ they can also have problems with their eyesight. “This little guy however seemed to have had the opposite reaction from his family. They totally enjoyed the cool water from the Olifants river &; like human kids‚ they wrestled &; played without a care in the world.” finished Potgieter. For other animals‚ especially prey species‚ blending into their surroundings is much more difficult with a totally different color pattern to the one they would usually possess. Even captive albino animals face challenges such as the white alligator Thibadoux who swallowed 70 coins. The fact these two are playing by the river is a good sign for family bonding.Image courtesy of Theo PotgieterIn 2019‚ a similar pink albino calf was spotted in the Masai Mara in Kenya according to the Indian Times – but fortunately‚ like the new calf in South Africa‚ seemed to be looked after by his family.

“Monsterland” in Massachusetts – a small forest with UFOs‚ yetis and glowing balls

In Massachusetts‚ USA‚ near the town of Leominster‚ there is a section of forest‚ only 5 miles long‚ literally “filled with supernatural things.” For decades‚ people have constantly reported sightings of glowing orbs‚ saucer-shaped UFOs and huge hairy bigfoots here. Also‚ it is very often unclear why cars break down‚ and some people disappear without a trace. According to local residents‚ it all started back in the 19th century‚ when hunters visiting the forest began to tell stories about a strange animal that was not like any ordinary animal. But the first reliably recorded case occurred only in the 1950s. Then one of the men came into the pub very excited and declared that he had just come face to face with a forest monster and that he would now go into the forest again to hunt it and bring its carcass to the city. He took the gun‚ left and… no one saw him again‚ either alive or dead. When the police tried to find him‚ they only found his empty car on the outskirts of the city with its headlights on. Since then‚ the number of sightings of all kinds of oddities in the forest of Leominster has only increased and in the end this place was nicknamed “Monsterland”. And one of the hiking trails is appropriately named “Spooky forest trail.” Sometimes people got lucky and found evidence that bigfoots actually lived here. The photo below shows the imprint of a huge humanoid creature’s foot‚ found in the forest in 2010. Ronnie Le Blanc‚ 66‚ who grew up near Leominster‚ is one of those who saw the “forest monster” with his own eyes. He was then only 11 years old and from that day he set himself the task of getting to the bottom of this phenomenon. “I think because these things happened to me personally‚ it created an obsession that I needed to know more about this‚” he says. According to Le Blanc‚ Bigfoot and glowing balls are somehow closely related to each other‚ because some eyewitnesses have seen hairy monsters holding such balls in their paws. Le Blanc says he has personally seen the flying balloons at least nine times in recent years. Other residents saw them too and some were even captured on video. In this video‚ filmed in 2022‚ three fireballs are flying at once‚ and‚ according to the author of the video‚ Corey Tourigny‚ they moved completely silently and each had its own speed. One flew a little faster than the others‚ the other slower. “I estimate they were about a hundred feet above the treetops. They stopped in formation for a while‚ and then some separated and headed west‚ while others went over the mountainous area‚” Corey Tourigny said. Another video shows a bright ball that looks like a meteorite. But is it a meteorite? Could it be a UFO? The most widespread UFO sighting in these places occurred in 1967. At the time‚ dozens of people reported seeing a UFO over ponds and lakes‚ and one woman said she saw a UFO emerge from a reservoir. That same year‚ people also frequently reported Bigfoot sightings. One of the residents of Leominster even said that in 1967 she was abducted directly from her home by aliens‚ and her house stood very close to the forest of “Monsterland”. Aliens are already on Earth – what do we know from different whistleblowers

Something very SINISTER is going on. Polls reveal that over 80% of the American people believe in UFO’s and 90% of these people believe the government is keeping this knowledge from the public. But why? Are they afraid the people will panic if an “official” announcement were made? Hardly. Such an announcement would create interest and excitement and many questions‚ particularly by the churches‚ but not panic. Why then the continued cover-up? There is overwhelming evidence in the past several years from “whistle-blowers”–retired military officers who have finally said‚ “Enough is enough! It’s time the government told the people the… This premium content is for PLUS+ members only. Visit the site and log in/register to read. Earth as an exoplanet: research has identified the conditions necessary for life

A team of researchers from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich have published a study that could significantly improve our ability to detect extraterrestrial life on exoplanets. The study was published in The Astrophysical Journal. The researchers focused on the Large Interferometer For Exoplanets (LIFE) space mission and its potential for assessing the habitability of exoplanets by observing Earth as a test object. Using Earth as a study object‚ scientists simulated how life would be observed on an exoplanet. The study successfully characterized Earth as if it were an exoplanet using simulated observations of its mid-infrared thermal emission spectrum. The researchers concluded that Earth would be identified as a temperate planet suitable for life‚ with the presence of important atmospheric gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2)‚ water vapor (H2O)‚ ozone (O3) and methane (CH4)‚ which important for the existence of life and conditions suitable for life. The study also found that viewing angle and time of year did not significantly affect the detectability of these molecules or their relative abundance in Earth’s atmosphere. This is important because something as simple as cloud cover can ruin atmospheric data. Determining surface pressures has been much more difficult‚ so future work should focus on developing better methods to get these numbers correctly. The study showed that neglecting clouds and assuming a constant vertical gas content distorts the search results. When interpreting the exoplanet’s atmospheric data‚ including all the data collected so far by other studies and astronomers‚ it may be necessary to take another look at it all. Using Earth as a test object proves that the mission’s measurement procedures are feasible and effective. Moreover‚ it also opens up new possibilities for exploring habitable worlds. Column: Joy Reid's Tacky TikTok Talk

In case you just can’t get enough of Joy Reid for an hour each weeknight on MSNBC‚ you can catch her sharing her wild and loose opinions on TikTok. Recently she pounced on remarks by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) supporting the Alabama court decision that frozen embryos are children‚ because “we need more kids.” Our fertility rate in America is now at a record low‚ but Reid just wants to use Alabama’s football-coach senator as a punching bag. “Why does the state of Alabama need more kids? More kids for what?” Reid wants to make this about immigration. “Your party‚ Senator Tuberville‚ is the one screaming that 10 million immigrants…have streamed into the country since Joe Biden has been president. And you're claiming that's too many people.” Most critics of the border crisis aren’t arguing that America is overpopulated. They’re arguing the massive influx of humanity is too much for our government systems to handle‚ which is the same critique emanating from Democrat big-city mayors who have been swamped with migrants who expect free food‚ housing‚ and maybe a monthly gift card. But Reid was primed to uncork a racial conspiracy theory‚ which MSNBC always encourages against Republicans. Antebellum references seem mandatory. “There was a time when the state of Alabama absolutely needed more kids‚ because Alabama was a slave state‚” Reid proclaimed‚ “and the mandate of the planter class in Alabama was for black women to produce more kids because those kids were property‚ and they could work more kids and make more money on their plantation.” But what does 1854 have to do with 2024? Reid suggested there was a master plan: “Are you saying Alabama needs more kids because you think those populations include people who may be destitute and desperate enough that when you kick out the immigrants you can make them do the work that migrants are doing now? That kind of sounds slavery-ish.” Wait. If the immigrants flooding into America are doing “slavery-ish” work‚ shouldn’t Reid oppose more immigration? Reid needs to imply all the immigrants pouring in are “people of color‚” even if that’s not true. For the left‚ appeals to limit illegal immigration must always be painted as motivated by racism. To its credit‚ The New York Times has published a series of investigative reports on migrant child labor in America. One was headlined “Alone and Exploited‚ Migrant Children Work Brutal Jobs Across the U.S.”  No one imagines that led to a scathing TikTok tirade by Joy Reid. She closed out by asking Sen. Tuberville in absentia if‚ since he’s a “white guy‚” he’s suggesting “we need more kids” means “whites need more kids‚” a “Great Replacement thing‚” because if he thinks white women need to make more babies‚ “that’s a little creepy. A little Handmaid’s Tale‚ don’t you think?” Back in 2021‚ Reid took to TikTok to mock Kyle Rittenhouse for tearing up when he testified about shooting rioters dead in self-defense. Reid compared him to Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings‚ mocking their “male white tears‚” and proclaiming these guys “Karen-out‚ and as soon as they get caught‚ they bring waterworks.” Reid wouldn’t use this white-Karens-waterworks mockery for Hillary Clinton’s public tears when she ran for president. These videos aren’t for everyone. They’re for the hardcore MSNBC watchers who want to “own the cons‚” but especially those stale pale males. Conservatives just want to check what chemicals she might have put in her vape pen to explain that overactive imagination.

Cat Skin Cancer: Vet Signs‚ Stages &; Treatment

Click to Skip Ahead Common Skin Cancers Signs Cancer Staging Care Guide FAQ Humans are not the only species that can get skin cancer. We can also see skin cancer in our beloved cats. While skin cancers are not the most common types of cancers we can see in cats‚ there are some important things to be aware of. In this article we will discuss what to look for as signs of skin cancer in your cat‚ what is considered staging‚ and how you may be able to treat your cat. What Are the Most Common Skin Cancers in Cats? “Skin cancer” is an umbrella term that can mean multiple different types of cancer. A cancer is when cells of the body abnormally grow‚ divide‚ and/or don’t die.  Skin cancer just means that the skin is the area of the body where the cancer originated. Cancers can be benign (typically only grow in one area and don’t spread to other parts of the body) or malignant (can grow and/or spread to other body areas quickly). While your veterinarian may be able to look at your cat and “suspect” a certain type of cancer‚ there is no way to definitely know what type of skin cancer your cat has or doesn’t have without diagnostics. Below are some of the most common types of skin cancers we see in cats. Squamous Cell Carcinomas (Abbreviated SCC) This type of skin cancer is commonly related to excessive sun exposure. White‚ light colored‚ and hairless cats are at higher risk due to their skin having less protection from the sun. SCC can be found on the tips of the ears‚ nose‚ eyelids‚ face/neck. There is also an aggressive form of SCC commonly found in the mouth and nose of cats‚ but for the purpose of this article‚ we are referring to the SCC found on the skin. Image Credit: Ameena Matcha‚ Shutterstock Fibrosarcoma These are the most common soft tissue tumors in cats. They can grow and spread extremely fast. They can start within the skin and quickly invade surrounding and/or underlying muscle‚ tissue‚ and organs. There are three forms of fibrosarcoma in cats – one form caused by a virus‚ one form not caused by a virus‚ and another potentially caused by vaccinations. Basal Cell Tumor These are more common in older cats‚ though any skin cancer can be seen in younger or older cats. Typically‚ these will start as single tumors and are often dark colored. Basal cell tumors can be benign but can also be a carcinoma‚ which is a type of malignant tumor. Mast Cell Tumors (Abbreviated MCT) Cats and dogs have normal inflammatory cells of the body called mast cells. These cells can sometimes grow and divide abnormally and create tumors. These tumors will form discrete tumors often found on the skin. Some cats can develop mast cell disease internally. Image Credit: Suptar‚ Shutterstock What Are the Signs of These Skin Cancers in Cats? SCC Squamous cell carcinomas of the skin commonly develop on the ears (especially the tips)‚ eyelids‚ lips‚ nose‚ bridge of the nose‚ and in general‚ the mouth/face/neck. SCC are typically single tumors that start small‚ have irregular borders to the tumor and typically become ulcerated and oozing as time progresses. Approximately 1/3 of cats with SCC of the skin will have multiple lesions. If you notice an odor to your cat’s mouth‚ and they are having trouble chewing and/or closing their mouth‚ your veterinarian may suspect an SCC of the mouth. Fibrosarcoma This type of skin cancer typically appears as a solitary mass or tumor. These tumors will typically have a poorly circumscribed border (irregular border margins)‚ are raised‚ and may become ulcerated or irritated on the surface. These tumors can invade surrounding and underlying tissues such as the muscle. Your veterinarian should be able to feel and move the tumor around and be able to suspect if there is invasion of other tissues aside from the skin. Basal Cell Tumors These tumors can be benign or malignant. They are typically firm‚ raised‚ hairless tumors typically found on the head and neck‚ though they can be found anywhere. These tumors are often pigmented. In other words‚ there is typically a color to the mass such as being brown or black in color. Image Credit: Sandundammika0‚ Shutterstock Mast Cell Tumors MCTs can range in size from small‚ pinpoint masses to larger tumors. They are often circular with well-defined borders. MCTs can be very itchy‚ and cats may lick and/or chew at them. Because they are made from the normal inflammatory cells of the body‚ these tumors can sometimes seem large and then shrink down in size if or when it’s actively inflamed. What Is the Staging of Cat Skin Cancers? Staging is the diagnosing and determining the extent of a cancer in your cat. First your veterinarian will need to diagnose the cancer. This can be done with either a needle aspirate and cytology‚ or biopsy with histopathology. The difference is that cytology only looks at cells that are collected in a needle/syringe‚ and histopathology looks at larger pieces of tissue. Depending on the type of cancer‚ special stains at the lab may be needed to determine the type of cancer that is seen under the microscope. Once diagnosed‚ your veterinarian may also recommend an abdominal ultrasound‚ chest radiographs‚ or other types of imaging. These tools are used to determine if the cancer has spread to other places in the body. The radiographs will look at the lungs to see if there is evidence of metastasis in the lungs. The abdominal ultrasound will look at organs such as the spleen and liver for abnormal masses or appearance. If there are abnormal areas seen in or on other organs‚ these areas will likely also need to be tested‚ similar to the mass‚ to determine if they are the same type of cancer. Surgery is commonly used to remove skin cancers. Staging is used to determine if surgery is possible‚ how extensive the surgery will be‚ and to know the extent of the cancer before‚ during and after surgery. These diagnostic tools will be used to monitor recurrence‚ regrowth‚ and/or uncured cancers even after surgery or other treatment is used. Image Credit: Yaroslav Astakhov‚ Shutterstock How Do I Care for a Cat With Skin Cancer? Skin cancers should all be monitored and treated by a veterinarian. Depending on many factors associated with skin cancer‚ your veterinarian may recommend surgical removal of the tumor(s). If your cat has surgery to remove a mass‚ you will need to keep your cat quiet and monitor the surgical site for any swelling‚ redness‚ and/or infection. Pain medications should be given as prescribed. Following surgery‚ your veterinarian will likely monitor both the surgical site and other sites for recurrence and/or regrowth of the cancer. Depending on the type of cancer‚ follow-up bloodwork‚ radiographs‚ or ultrasounds may be recommended. Certain cancers may be susceptible to either chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Most chemotherapy agents can only be administered by a Board Certified Veterinary Oncologist. Your cat may need to be in the hospital for the day as the medication is given slowly. Other times the chemotherapy may be able to be given in a pill form. Radiation therapy has to be done in a specialty hospital and/or university setting. Your cat will need to be at minimum‚ sedated‚ but often will need to receive full anesthesia for their sessions. Both chemotherapy protocols and radiation protocols should be discussed with the Oncologist. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) How Is Skin Cancer Diagnosed in My Cat? Skin cancer can only be diagnosed by testing the actual mass. Depending on the location of the mass‚ size of the mass and temperament of your cat‚ your veterinarian will discuss the best option for you. There is a way to aspirate the mass with a needle‚ spread those cells on a microscope‚ and send it to a lab. Your veterinarian may also want to take a tissue biopsy‚ or even just surgically remove the mass‚ and then send that tissue to a lab for diagnosis. Image Credit: eremeevdv‚ Shutterstock Will My Cat Die of Skin Cancer? Unfortunately‚ some cancers can spread both locally and internally‚ and your cat can die from them. This all depends on the type of cancer‚ how old your cat is‚ where the cancer is‚ and how aggressive it is. Other times the cancer may have become so large that surgical removal is not an option. You may choose to have your cat humanely euthanized due to a poor quality of life. Conclusion Skin cancer comes in many shapes and sizes in cats. Your veterinarian cannot tell just by looking at a lump or mass if it is benign or malignant. Testing such as cytology or histopathology is needed for a diagnosis of the mass. Once diagnosed‚ your veterinarian will recommend additional testing to stage the cancer or determine the spread to other areas of the body. Surgery is typically the first step in treatment‚ with some cancers also needing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy after. While surgery can be curative for some cancers‚ unfortunately others are so aggressive that your cat may succumb to the disease.
