DOMESTIC. Khozga Kamila recently became the owner of Skänninge city hotel. The 26-year-old Kurd is now accused of raping a 17-year-old girl, kidnapping a man and handling heavy drugs - all on the premises of the historic hotel.
Khozga Kamila was celebrated in the local media a year ago when he and his Iraqi family bought up Skänninge city hotel.
With headlines such as "Kamila wants to save the hotel - bought for 4.3 million", the message was made that the right man was now in place to uproot the establishment, which dates back to the 19th century.
Instead, it quickly became total chaos with kidnappings and rapes.
In September last year, the police raided Skänninge City Hotel. Seven people were arrested for drug offences, some of whom were remanded in custody. Suspicions are now written off for everyone except Khozga Kamila.
After the crackdown, suspicions arose that a rape against a 17-year-old girl took place at the hotel on September 4. In addition, it was suspected that a man had been locked in the hotel on the night of September 5. The man in question was found about a mile from the hotel the following morning. According to the indictment, he was forced to take off his clothes and then locked in a vault for about an hour. In connection with this, according to the indictment, he was threatened with a gun or a gun-like object that Khozga Kamila was holding. The man is said to have then been taken away in a car and abused with kicks and punches.
Khozga Kamila is charged with a serious drug offense and for raping the woman in the hotel. In addition, he is charged with kidnapping against the man.
Another man is charged with kidnapping. An important part of the evidence is a surveillance video showing the woman being locked in the hotel.
The prosecutor demands that Khozga Kamila - who is a citizen of Iraq - be deported from Sweden with a ban on returning forever.
