Rumors said the iPhone 16 Pro would feature a 6.3-inch display‚ and the iPhone 16 Pro Max would get a similar 0.2-inch bump to 6.9 inches. The reason for this was the iPhone 16 Pro's rear camera module. Apple planned to bring the iPhone 15 Pro Max's tetraprism zoom lens to the smaller iPhone 16 Pro. That component needs more internal space‚ hence the overall increase in size.
