'They're the Commies&;#33;' ABC News Claims GOP 'In the Bed' With Russia

On Thursday‚ ABC News moderators Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar took to The View to spew disinformation about Republicans on national television during an election year. The lies included accusations of being “afraid of history‚” being communist and “in the bed” with Russia‚ and wanting to make women property again. Goldberg lashed out at “these little snowflaky people” and‚ without evidence‚ accused them of being “the ones that are afraid of information. They're the ones who are afraid of history.” “It's not us‚” she sneered. “It's y'all. Y'all are afraid that what's happening is happening without you and it shouldn't be‚ but you're letting it happen. You're letting all of these decisions be made without you being taken seriously&;#33; No one is taking you people seriously&;#33; And you should be worried about it.” She was followed up by Behar‚ who seemingly longed for the return of the House Un-American Activities Committee of the Cold War era to “ruin” the lives of ALL Republicans by having them “blacklisted” from society: BEHAR: Why are they in the bed with the Russians&;#63; I mean‚ we grew up in a time when if you were pro-Russian in any way you were hauled before the UAC Committee and your life was ruined and you were blacklisted. Now all of a sudden these people are all about the Russians. HOSTIN: Trump. BEHAR: I know‚ but why are Americans accepting that all of a sudden&;#63; “They call the Democrats commies‚ they’re the commies&;#33;” she decried. As usual‚ faux-conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin was absolutely useless and refused to push back on any of the false accusations her friends were leveling without evidence. Further‚ Goldberg asserted it was “hard to figure [Republicans] out” and suggested “they’ve forgotten that we‚ the people‚ make the decisions about what goes on in this country” as if Republicans were not elected by the people. Without evidence‚ Goldberg went on to insist that Republicans were trying to turn back the clock to make women property again: I was listening to a book today‚ just talking about women's rights in the early part of this century‚ and‚ you know‚ women could do nothing. You had to be married or you didn't exist. Why would you want to go back to that&;#63; Why are we allowing -- This is the thing‚ I don't understand why we didn't get angrier sooner – and I know people are angry now because I hear it – but why are we going backwards in a way that is not good for the economy‚ it's not good for the country&;#63; What made Goldberg’s claim even more ridiculous‚ was that she said she was learning about women’s rights “in the early part of this century.” We’re almost a quarter of the through the 21st century‚ which meant she was living in the past and didn’t know what century it was. The transcript is below. Click &;quot;expand&;quot; to read: ABC’s The View April 18‚ 2024 11:07:20 a.m. Eastern (…) WHOOPI GOLDBERG: You know what's offensive to me&;#63; SUNNY HOSTIN: What‚ Whoopi&;#63; GOLDBERG: I don't – These little snowflaky people‚ they're the people who said‚ you know‚ ‘Oh‚ you can't take it‚ huh&;#63; You can't take the heat&;#63;’ I'm discovering that most of the folks on the other side are the snowflakes‚ they're the ones that are afraid of information. They're the ones who are afraid of history. It's not us. It's y'all. Y'all are afraid that what's happening is happening without you and it shouldn't be‚ but you're letting it happen. Illegal alien suspected of killing Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto's adviser stole into US under Biden's watch

The Biden administration's refusal to properly secure the southern border and enforce federal immigration law has all but guaranteed grief for countless American families. On April 6‚ unlawfully imported atrocity was visited upon the family of a senior state adviser to Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D). Kurt Englehart‚ a 38-year-old champion for victims of child abuse and an advocate for its prevention‚ perished in a horrific car accident Saturday morning in southeastern Reno. The Nevada Appeal indicated that the suspect responsible for the Ohio native's demise fled the scene but was later tracked down by police and identified as Elmer Rueda-Linares. Rueda-Linares‚ 18‚ was initially charged with a felony hit-and-run; however‚ that charge has since been changed to a failure to stop at the scene of an accident. He is now being held at the Washoe County Jail on a $100‚000 bond. The Reno Gazette-Journal reported that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed an immigration detainer on Rueda-Linares following his arrest. The DHS informed the Gazette-Journal that &;quot;Rueda entered the United States March 12‚ 2021‚ at or near the Rio Grande City‚ Texas‚ Port of Entry without inspection by an immigration official.&;quot; &;quot;United States Customs and Border Protection arrested him‚ and he was later released on his own recognizance June 22‚ 2021‚&;quot; added the DHS. Cortez Masto said in a statement‚ &;quot;Paul and I and our entire team are heartbroken to learn of my longtime staffer Kurt Englehart's death.&;quot; &;quot; For the past eight years‚ Kurt proudly served in both my campaign and official offices. A beloved figure across the state‚ Kurt was always eager to help a constituent at a moment's notice‚&;quot; continued the statement. &;quot; He touched many lives‚ and I know almost everyone in Northern Nevada has a great story about Kurt helping them or making them laugh. Kurt was a dedicated public servant‚ a loyal friend‚ and a loving father.&;quot; &;quot;Sen. Cortez Masto looks forward to justice being served and has confidence in the local police and prosecutors‚&;quot; Cortez Masto's spokeswoman Lauren Wodarski told the Gazette-Journal. While keen now on justice being served‚ the National Republican Senatorial Committee indicated that in recent years‚ Cortez Masto has embraced &;quot;radical‚ open border policies&;quot; and &;quot;worked to enable Joe Biden and the crisis along the southern border.&;quot; For instance‚ she &;quot;voted to end Title 42 without a plan&;quot;; incentivized legal immigration around the time of Rueda-Linares' unlawful entry into the country by voting to &;quot;send taxpayer-funded stimulus checks&;quot; to illegal aliens; voted to defund border security programs; and voted against the establishment of a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to prioritizing the arrest of illegal aliens charged with a crime resulting in death or serious bodily injury. While in recent months Cortez Masto has changed course‚ calling on President Joe Biden to prioritize border security‚ the damage has evidently been done. According to the GoFundMe campaign raising money for the victim's family‚ &;quot;Kurt's biggest joy in life was his son and his family.&;quot; Englehart is one of many Americans to lose their lives on account of illegal aliens in recent weeks and months. An illegal alien from Venezuela was charged last month with killing a 12-year-old American boy. In December‚ Endrina Bracho was driving at 75 mph in a 40 mph zone and down the wrong side of a road in St. Louis County‚ Missouri. The St. Louis Dispatch reported that the illegal alien drove straight into a Jeep carrying an American family. Travis J. Wolfe‚ a 12-year-old boy in the Jeep‚ was taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital‚ where he was placed on life support and ultimately succumbed to his injuries last month. According to the citizen's obituary‚ Travis had an &;quot;infectious laugh and smile.&;quot; Because of an illegal alien‚ a GoFundMe campaign was also started for Wolfe's family. Rogelio Ortiz-Olivas‚ a five-time-deported illegal alien‚ ran over a 10-year-old Texas boy in February. Alex Wise of Midland was airlifted to Lubbock‚ where he died the next day‚ reported the Center Square. One of Alex Wise's aunts indicated he was the &;quot;sweetest‚ coolest‚ funniest little boy you would ever meet.&;quot; Because of an illegal alien‚ a GoFundMe campaign was started for Wise's family. Demetrio Moreno-Atlahua‚ an illegal alien facing a pair of felony charges‚ allegedly ran a stop sign on Feb. 24‚ then plowed his van into a 74-year-old American motorcyclist. Moreno-Atlahua and his undocumented passengers reportedly fled the scene of the crime on foot‚ reported WCJB-TV. It's unclear whether the elderly victim's family also had to raise money to pay down the cost of his fatal encounter with an illegal alien. An illegal alien from El Salvador was arrested earlier this month in connection to the murder and dismemberment of 25-year-old Fraylee Hernandez. An illegal alien from Haiti allegedly butchered his two roommates in New York State on April 1. Blaze News previously reported Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus described the bloodletting as &;quot;one of the most brutal murders&;quot; that some in law enforcement had ever seen. Blaze News has elsewhere detailed additional instances where sanctuary policies and a lax approach to illegal immigration have endangered American lives. Migrant suspected of double homicide used CBP's app to gain entry into US

A Haitian migrant suspected of murdering two men in New York previously used United States Customs and Border Protection's CBP One app to gain entry into the country‚ Fox News Digital reported.Kenol Baptiste‚ 30‚ was arrested by Middletown police on April 1 and charged with second-degree murder‚ first-degree manslaughter‚ and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Baptiste allegedly fatally stabbed two male roommates. One of the victims died at the scene. The other victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center‚ where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery. Fox News Digital reported that the suspect lived at the same address as the victims‚ and the three individuals were acquaintances. Both of the victims were also Haitian nationals. Their names have not been released to the public.Police located Baptiste in a wooded area near the apartment complex shortly after the incident. Authorities have not revealed a possible motive behind the killings. Middletown Police Chief John Ewanciw told Mid Hudson News‚ &;quot; In follow-up with members of the community‚ we are learning that this group of individuals moved in there about a year ago.&;quot;According to Ewanciw‚ Baptiste entered the U.S. approximately eight months ago.&;quot; Our suspect‚ due to fingerprinting responses‚ we learned that he came to the United States about eight months ago‚&;quot; he told Mid Hudson News. &;quot; We are still trying to track back how‚ where‚ when.&;quot;Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus called the killings &;quot;a failure on all levels of the federal government‚&;quot; noting that Baptiste was awaiting a federal deportation hearing‚ News 12 reported.&;quot; It was one of the most brutal murders that some law enforcement is reporting to us that they’ve seen‚&;quot; Neuhaus added.Immigration and Customs Enforcement told Fox News Digital that Baptiste booked an appointment for July 25 at a port of entry using the CBP One app. He was given a notice to appear‚ processed‚ and released into the country's interior pending removal proceedings. Following the killings‚ ICE issued a detainer request. Once he is released from jail‚ he will be transferred into federal immigration custody. Since 2023‚ the CBP One app‚ which has been expanded under the Biden administration‚ has allowed 547‚000 individuals to make appointments at ports of entry.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Brazilian woman caught on camera puppeteering dead man to sign for a loan: 'Uncle‚ are you listening&;#63;'

A woman was arrested Tuesday after wheeling a corpse into a South American bank and attempting to take out a loan in the decedent's name. Brazilian police indicated 68-year-old Paulo Robert Braga had long been dead when Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes‚ 42‚ rolled him into a Rio de Janeiro bank in a wheelchair‚ talked to him as though he were still among the living‚ then attempted to puppeteer a signature out of him for a $3‚234 loan. According to the Brazilian news outlet G1‚ bank employees quickly became suspicious of Nunes' behavior. There were‚ after all‚ a few dead giveaways that something was amiss. In footage of the incident captured by bank employees‚ Nunes can be seen attempting to keep Braga's head upright and engaging in a clearly one-sided conversation. &;quot;Uncle‚ are you listening&;#63; You need to sign. If you don't sign it‚ there's no way‚&;quot; Nunes can be heard saying in her native tongue. &;quot;I can't sign it for you. I'll do what I can do.&;quot; &;quot; You hold your chair very strong there‚&;quot; Nunes says to the corpse. She proceeds to ask one of the tellers‚ &;quot;Didn't he hold the door there just now&;#63;&;quot; Feigning frustration with Braga's lack of cooperation‚ Nunes says‚ &;quot;Sign so you don't give me any more headaches. I can't take it anymore.&;quot; According to a translation provided by USA Today‚ one teller says in the video‚ &;quot;I don't think this is legal. He doesn't look well. He's very pale.&;quot; Nunes‚ who claimed to be the dead man's niece‚ says‚ &;quot; He is like this.&;quot; The grim borrower then suggests to Braga‚ whose mouth is wide open and eyes are glassy‚ &;quot; If you are not well‚ you will go to the hospital.&;quot; Bank attendants ultimately called the police who promptly detained Nunes. Police chief F&;aacute;bio Souza of the 34th Police Station confirmed to CNN Brazil that Nunes was charged with attempted theft by fraud and abuse of a corpse. If convicted of the latter‚ then Nunes could face up to three years in prison and a fine. Nunes reportedly expressed no remorse in her interviews with police and told officials that Braga had expired while in the bank. Police are not buying her story in part because medical examiners found indications the elderly man had been dead for at least two hours prior to his posthumous banking experience. Authorities are reportedly still waiting to confirm Braga's cause of death‚ indicating they will open a homicide investigation if they suspect foul play. Kari Lake's flip-flop on abortion has conservatives fuming

Kari Lake's flip-flop on abortion has conservatives fuming

The Arizona Supreme Court recently ruled to stay a total abortion ban‚ and Kari Lake’s moderate response drew criticism from pro-lifers — including Allie Beth Stuckey. The court had allowed an 1864 statute banning abortion to stand‚ which Lake called “out of line with where the people of this state are.” “This very moderate‚ sophisticated‚ pragmatic‚ pseudo-compassionate stance that we actually need to be much more middle of the road on abortion‚” Stuckey says‚ is “absolutely egregious.” “I agree with President Trump‚” Lake said in a video posted to X. “This is such a personal and private issue. I chose life‚ but I’m not every woman. I want to make sure that every woman who finds herself pregnant has more choices so that she can make that choice that I made.” Stuckey calls it like she sees it‚ saying that Lake’s stance is the “pro-choice‚ pro-abortion position.” “That is exactly what Planned Parenthood believes. That is exactly what every pro-abortion‚ pro-choice activist has been saying for literally decades now‚” she says. “We are talking about the murder of people‚ ok&;#63; We are talking about chopping up babies. There’s not much nuance to this.” Stuckey believes that what she’s saying isn’t her true belief but rather a gimmick to get herself ahead. “I see what she’s doing. She realizes that she lost the female vote in Arizona because she was way too aggressive and not in an appealing way at all‚ and now she is trying to win back those women‚” Stuckey says‚ though she doesn’t believe this is a winning strategy. “We’ll give a little bit of baby murder‚ or maybe a lot of baby murder. I don’t know exactly what their stance is‚ but‚ we will ultimately win the election‚ we will ultimately win the war. I think that is strategically foolish. I do not think that’s going to work.” Want more from Allie Beth Stuckey&;#63;To enjoy more of Allie’s upbeat and in-depth coverage of culture‚ news‚ and theology from a Christian‚ conservative perspective‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

Controversial FISA bill heads to Senate‚ making it easier to spy on Americans

Controversial FISA bill heads to Senate‚ making it easier to spy on Americans

The House voted last week in favor of reauthorizing the surveillance bill that has been exploited by the FBI hundreds of thousands of times to spy on American citizens.Blaze News previously noted that it was this legislation that elements of the intelligence community exploited to spy on members of the Trump campaign in 2016 without probable cause. It was also used to violate — without warrant — the privacy of multitudes of Jan. 6 protesters‚ congressional campaign donors‚ and BLM demonstrators.Among the 273 lawmakers who recently supported renewing Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act‚ to the great satisfaction of the Biden White House‚ were Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) and other such nominal Republicans. Turner suggested that a failure to renew the government’s well-abused spying ability “will make us go blind.”It appears many in Congress were blind — perhaps willfully so — to a seed of immense consequence that Turner and Democratic Rep. Jim Himes (Conn.) sowed in the reauthorization bill‚ which the U.S. Senate is now all but guaranteed to approve.Section 702 allows the government to spy on foreign nationals outside the U.S. with the compelled aid of electronic communication service providers. Supporters of Section 702 like Turner routinely stress that it is a critically important means of keeping tabs on Hamas terrorists‚ Chinese communist agents‚ and other foes. The trouble is that American citizens contacted by a foreign national over email‚ social media‚ or the phone can have their communications tapped‚ searched‚ and stored without a warrant. This alone is enough to warrant the criticism 702 has received from opponents like Republican Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) and Jim Jordan (Ohio). However‚ lawmakers have somehow made the 702 headed for reauthorization even worse.Edward Snowden dusted off his whistle in exile this week‚ warning Monday‚ “The NSA is just DAYS from taking over the internet‚ and it’s not on the front page of any newspaper — because no one has noticed.”The whistleblower referenced what critics call the “everyone is a spy” provision in the surveillance bill‚ which Turner and Himes championed.Elizabeth Goitein‚ co-director of the Liberty and National Security Program at the Brennan Center for Justice‚ provided a penetrating explanation of the provision in a series of tweets earlier this week‚ characterizing it ultimately as the “biggest expansion of domestic surveillance since the Patriot Act.”“Under current law‚ the government can compel ‘electronic communications services providers’ that have direct access to communications to assist the NSA in conducting Section 702 surveillance‚” wrote Goitein. “In practice‚ that means companies like Verizon and Google must turn over the communications of the targets of Section 702 surveillance.”Goitein noted that the House approved an amendment the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence offered to the reauthorization bill‚ which it ultimately passed. This amendment alters the definition of “electronic communications surveillance provider.”“If the bill becomes law‚ any company or individual that provides ANY service whatsoever may be forced to assist in NSA surveillance‚ as long as they have access to equipment on which communications are transmitted or stored — such as routers‚ servers‚ cell towers‚ etc.‚” wrote Goitein. In other words‚ it won’t just be giants like Verizon and Google the NSA will rope into helping it peer into the lives of American citizens‚ but rather any business that provides wireless internet services to its customers‚ from dentists’ officers to gyms.Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)‚ one of the few lawmakers sounding the alarm about this provision‚ confirmed that “if you have access to any communications‚ the government can force you to help it spy. That means anyone with access to a server‚ a wire‚ a cable box‚ a wifi router‚ a phone‚ or a computer.” That’s not even the worst part. Unlike Google and Verizon‚ most of these businesses and individuals lack the ability to isolate and turn over a target’s communications. So they would be required to give the NSA access to the equipment itself… 13/25 — (@) “If this provision is enacted‚ the government could deputize any one of these people against their will‚ and force them to become an agent for Big Brother‚” Wyden said in a statement. “This could all happen without any oversight. The FISA Court won’t know about it. Congress won’t know about it.”While plumbers‚ technicians‚ engineers‚ and various other professionals could be compelled into the service of the surveillance state‚ Snowden noted those in the tech space are especially at risk‚ emphasizing‚ “If you work at a US tech firm‚ this bill could transform your whole company into a spy machine.”Wyden‚ clearly desperate to motivate his Democratic peers to kill the bill‚ noted that their indifference in this vote might cost them bigly if President Donald Trump wins in November — even though Trump has implored lawmakers to “KILL FISA.”Across the aisle there are a handful of Republicans distrustful of conferring more surveillance powers on a government exceedingly prone to error who have similarly signaled they’ll fight the bill in the Senate.Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah)‚ a longtime critic of Section 702‚ noted Tuesday‚ “If you find yourself voting for the House-passed bill expanding FISA and reauthorizing 702 without a warrant requirement … [y]ou might have been deceived. Or maybe you’re deceiving others.”Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told Larry Kudlow this week that some of his fellow Republicans have expressed an interest in doing “a whitewash on FISA and let[ting] them continue to have all the power in the world to spy on Americans.”“I will not let them do it easily‚ and I am doing to do all I can to make sure there is a debate on FISA because I don’t think our intelligence agencies should be allowed to spy on Americans without a warrant‚” said Paul. The internet freedom group Demand Progress framed the vote Thursday as a choice of whether or not to equip future presidents with “a knife to ram through the back of democracy.”“These KGB-style powers pose an existential threat to our civil liberties‚” added the group. “The Senate must block this provision.”
