Utterly Shameless: Biden Pushes Gun Control Mere Hours After Hunter Is Convicted on Firearms Charges

Who thought it was a good idea to schedule President Joe Biden to deliver speech on gun control the same week in which it has been expected -- and for some time, now -- that the verdict in his son's trial on three gun-related felonies would come back? When both...

Man Who Wanted To Open Country’s First Gay Club Reportedly Sent To Mental Hospital

A Pakistani man, who wanted to establish the country’s first gay club, was reportedly sent to a mental hospital. According to reports, the man wanted to raise his voice for the “most neglected community.” The unidentified man filed an application with the deputy commissioner (DC) to set up the gay club in Abbottabad. Gay sex is illegal in Pakistan, and it can lead to up to two years in prison. While these laws are rarely applied, the conservative religious culture in Pakistan has made it difficult to be openly homosexual, the outlet revealed. The application further said that in the envisaged gay club, “there would be no gay (or non-gay) sex (other than kissing).” A notice on the wall would warn against “sex on premises,” the application mentioned. “This would mean that no legal constraints (even obsolete ones like [anti-sodomy] PPC section 377) would be flouted on the premises,” it added. Before being sent to the mental hospital in Peshawar, the man told the news outlet, “I talk about human rights and I want everyone’s human rights to be defended”. The OHCHR document states that Pakistan’s provisions against homosexual acts “have been found to constitute a clear violation of international human rights law.” According to Human Dignity Trust, a non-profit based in London, only gay men are criminalized under the Pakistan Penal Code. “There is some evidence of the law being enforced in recent years, with LGBT people occasionally being subject to arrest,” the non-profit’s website reads. “There have been consistent reports of discrimination and violence being committed against LGBT people in recent years, including murder, rape, assault, and the denial of basic rights and services.”

Multiple Suspected Terrorists Possibly Linked To ISIS Arrested Across The United States

Federal authorities arrested eight foreign nationals with possible ties to ISIS in multiple cities across the United States. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended the Tajikistani nationals in Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia, and they are currently facing immigration charges, the officials said,” CBS News reports. The individuals entered the United States by crossing the southern border and were released into the country with notices to appear in immigration court. The arrests occurred within months after FBI Director Christopher Wray warned in April that human smuggling operations at the southern border were bringing in people with possible connections to terror groups. Sources familiar with the operation said the individuals had been vetted by law enforcement upon entering the U.S., and there was no indication that they had ties to ISIS at the time. Law enforcement subsequently became concerned with their presence in the U.S. and took action, the officials said. A joint statement from the FBI and DHS confirmed the arrests: “Over the last few days, ICE agents arrested several non-citizens pursuant to immigration authorities. The actions were carried out in close coordination with the FBI’s joint terrorism task forces. … The FBI and DHS will continue working around the clock with our partners to identify, investigate, and disrupt potential threats to national security.” Sources familiar with the operation said the individuals had been vetted by law enforcement upon entering the U.S., and there was no indication that they had ties to ISIS at the time. However, law enforcement subsequently became concerned with their presence in the States and took action, officials said. WATCH:

Keith, a junior offensive lineman majoring in food science from Redondo Beach, Calif., passed away June 5 from a pulmonary embolism. He will be highly honored for saving other lives as an organ donor. Keith was a member of the Cal Poly football team for three years and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Keith was known for always smiling and making his teammates and friends laugh, cooking for them, having contagious positive energy and bringing people together. The university and athletic department are in touch with Keith’s family and is extending its full support to them and his friends. Our thoughts are with them, his friends, and teammates as they grieve their loss. “The California State University has revised its systemwide COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and no longer requires students and employees to be fully vaccinated, but it is still strongly recommended,” Cal Poly stated in a summer 2023 update to its COVID-19 policy. In December 2021, Cal Poly required students, faculty and staff to receive a COVID-19 booster. Cal Coast News reported: Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo announced Wednesday that it will require students, faculty and staff to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot by Jan. 20, or six months after they have received the final dose of their original vaccination. The campus will continue to accept medical and religious exemptions. Those who do not receive the booster, will need to be tested every three days during the quarter. “The major message of this note is simple: Get a COVID-19 booster as soon as you can!” Cal Poly President Jeffrey Armstrong wrote in an email to the campus community. “Fighting a pandemic is a group effort. I have been very proud of how well our community has done so far, and I ask you to keep doing the right thing, for everyone’s sake.” The California State University System will require students, faculty and staff at its 23 campuses to receive boosters by Feb. 28. Individual campuses can mandate an earlier date.
