Oreo Brookie Bars

These Oreo Brookie Bars are the perfect dessert combination of some of your favorite sweet treats like Oreos‚ brownies‚ and chocolate chip cookies! Easy and so good! THE ULTIMATE DESSERT BAR These Oreo Brookie Bars are an irresistible combination of three classic desserts – brownies‚ chocolate chip cookies and Oreo cookies! With a chocolate chip cookie crust‚ a luxurious layer of rich‚ fudgy brownie‚ and stuffed with Oreos‚ this dessert is sure to please everyone. The best part? It’s ridiculously easy to make. Trust me‚ your friends and family won’t be able to resist these delectable bars! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Can I use different flavored Oreos? This recipe is versatile and can be made with any flavor of Oreos or cookies of your choice. For a fun twist‚ I recommend trying Thin Mints‚ Fudge Stripe cookies‚ or Milanos. You could even go with the Oreo Double Stuft cookies. Do I have to use the toppings? These dessert bars are good even without the toppings so you could certainly leave them off. What brownie mix should I use? My favorite brownie mix is Duncan Hines. But‚ you can use whatever brand you have on hand or prefer. You can even use your favorite homemade brownie recipe. Make sure to adjust your oil‚ eggs‚ and water if necessary- according to your box directions. Can I change up the chocolate chip cookie base? Certainly! This is a great base recipe. You can swap the chocolate chip cookies out for any other cookie dough that you want and that you think will go with the other flavors. How to store these Brookie Bars? Store in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For the best taste‚ enjoy these treats at room temperature. Can I freeze these Oreo Brookie Bars? Sure can! Here’s how: individually wrap bars in plastic wrap and then foil. Place them in a freezer-safe container or bag and store in the freezer for up to 3 months. To thaw‚ leave them on the counter or in the fridge overnight. For the best experience‚ enjoy them at room temperature. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE) chocolate chip cookie dough – you can make it from scratch if you like but I am using storebought. Oreo cookies – I just used the standard Oreos but Oreo Double stuft work great here as well. fudge brownie mix – you want to get the brownie mix that says “Family Size for a 9×13” eggs‚ oil and water – you will be using the amounts given on the back of the brownie mix box. It can vary by brand but go by the amounts provided on the box. melting chocolate wafers – this is just to drizzle on top but you could just use chocolate syrup or skip it. HOW TO MAKE OREO BROOKIE BARS Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper with some hanging over the edges of the pan (this will help with removing the brownies later).  Press the cookie dough into the bottom of the baking dish into an even layer. Note: this will be easier to do if you don’t try to press it in as soon as you remove the dough from the refrigerator. Let it sit out for a few minutes. In a single layer‚ place the Oreo cookies evenly on top of the cookie dough and gently press it into the cookie dough. Set aside.  In a large bowl‚ prepare the brownie batter according to package directions (with the eggs‚ water and vegetable oil). Pour the prepared brownie batter evenly on top of the Oreo cookies and gently spread it out to make sure it’s covering all the cookies. Next‚ gently tap the pan on the counter a couple of times to help the brownie batter get in between the Oreo cookies. Bake for 30 minutes‚ then loosely cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes (until a toothpick inserted comes out clean). Let cool completely. Using the parchment paper‚ lift the brookie bars out of the baking dish. Cut into 15 squares. At this point‚ chop up 10 additional Oreo cookies to use as the topping (note‚ this is optional)  Melt the chocolate wafers per the directions on the back of the package; you will need about 1 cup of melted chocolate. Drizzle the melted chocolate onto the top of each brookie bar then immediately sprinkle the top with the crushed Oreo cookies.  Allow the brookie bars to sit for about 20-30 minutes until the melted chocolate has set‚ then serve. Ukraine to Get First F-16s

Amsterdam has started preparations for the delivery of 18 combat aircraft to Ukraine‚ Prime Minister Mark Rutte has said The Netherlands is about to start preparing the first delivery of US-made F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine‚ Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Friday following a phone call with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. The EU nation is one of Kiev’s backers that pledged to provide it with the warplanes over the next few years‚ alongside Denmark‚ Norway‚ and Belgium. Zelensky claimed in August that the Netherlands and Belgium together pledged 42 jets to his country‚ although a joint statement by the two nations does not mention any specific numbers. On Friday‚ Rutte said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the “initial” delivery would include 18 aircraft. The prime minister also said earlier that his nation’s entire F-16 fleet consisted of 42 planes and that Amsterdam would need to keep some for its own training purposes.Save 40% on DNA Force Plus NOW! Try it today and see why so many listeners have made it an essential part of their daily routine! On Friday‚ Zelensky thanked the Dutch prime minister in a post on X for his cabinet’s decision‚ adding that they also discussed “Ukraine’s current military needs‚ including artillery‚ drones‚ and air defense.” According to Rutte‚ “a number of … criteria must also still be met before [the] delivery can take place‚ including requirements for personnel and infrastructure.” The prime minister also admitted that his nation is yet to obtain an export permit from the US. Washington had long been reluctant to consider supplying Kiev with Western-made fighter jets. In February‚ US President Joe Biden said that Ukraine did not need F-16s at that moment. “There is no basis upon which there is a rationale‚ according to our military‚ now‚ to provide F-16s‚” he said. By summer‚ however‚ the US position had apparently changed as Washington eventually gave permission for Ukrainian pilots to train on F-16 jets and signaled that it was ready to approve a third-party transfer of the aircraft to Kiev once this training was complete. Kiev has been pushing its Western backers to supply increasingly advanced weapons since the start of its conflict with Moscow‚ treating those arms as a game-changer in the conflict. Zelensky particularly praised the August F-16 pledge announcement as “historic‚ powerful‚ motivational.” Moscow has dismissed such ideas by saying that Western arms supplies only prolong the conflict and extend the human suffering without significantly affecting the situation on the front lines. In November‚ Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that the entire fleet of F-16s pledged to Kiev by Western donors could be destroyed in less than three weeks. The task of shooting down all those jets would amount to “roughly 20 days of work‚” he said. Western officials have started doubting Ukraine’s prospects in the ongoing conflict in the wake of its failed summer counteroffensive that led to minimal changes along the front lines despite Kiev’s heavy losses. In December‚ US lawmakers said that neither Washington nor Kiev had presented a clear winning strategy following a meeting with Zelensky. Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville said he had “never thought” Kiev could “win.” Earlier the same month‚ Politico reported that the UK was considering pushing Ukraine toward peace talks with Russia due to concerns about Kiev’s ability to score a battlefield victory. NGO Condemns ‘Unparalleled’ Killing of Journalists in Gaza

Israel has reportedly killed more members of the press in the last ten weeks than any other country has in a year Reporters covering Israel’s war on Gaza are being killed at an unprecedented rate‚ press freedom NGO the Committee to Protect Journalists declared on Thursday‚ revealing that more journalists were killed during the first ten weeks of the conflict than in a single country in any year since it began keeping records in 1992. At least 68 media professionals have been killed since October 7‚ when the war began in retaliation for Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel – 61 of them Palestinian‚ four Israeli‚ and three Lebanese – while another 15 have been injured‚ including one photojournalist from AFP whose legs were blown off while working. The CPJ denounced what it called an “apparent pattern of targeting journalists and their families” by Israel‚ describing one case in which “a journalist was killed while clearly wearing press insignia in a location where no fighting was taking place‚” as well as two instances in which Israeli officials or Israel Defense Forces officers reached out to threaten journalists before their family members were killed. At least 20 journalists have been arrested by Israeli authorities‚ and three more are missing‚ while several more have reported abuse from IDF troops – one during a live broadcast on CNN.  A reporter for Dubai-based Al Mashahd TV said he was deliberately targeted and shot by an Israeli sniper last week despite being clearly marked as press in retaliation for breaking the story that four premature babies had been left behind to die and decompose at al-Nasr Children’s Hospital in Gaza after the IDF forced staff to evacuate the facility without ambulances. VasoBeet is now 40% OFF! This beetroot-based supplement was created to provide you with all the benefits of this nutrient-dense vegetable in one easy dose! Israel told Reuters and AFP in October that it would not guarantee reporters’ safety in Gaza. Critics have interpreted its refusal to authorize foreign reporters to work in Gaza as an effort to hide the human cost of its activities there.  Over 20‚000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began‚ according to the Gaza Health Ministry‚ and 50‚000 more are seriously injured or missing‚ while over 1.9 million of the enclave’s 2.3 million inhabitants have been forcibly displaced by Israeli bombs. Israel was internationally condemned last year over the IDF’s shooting of Palestinian-American al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh‚ with West Jerusalem initially denying responsibility and later claiming the killing had been accidental. Multiple independent investigations‚ however‚ found she had been deliberately targeted by an Israeli sniper despite her clearly marked press vest and helmet.  The CPJ has repeatedly condemned Israel’s treatment of the press‚ most recently in a report published in May that found IDF troops had killed at least 20 journalists in the preceding 22 years with no apparent consequences. An internal slide from IBM subsidiary Red Hat released by O’Keefe Media Group on Monday further exposes the tech company’s anti-white racism with a graphic explaining “how whiteness works.”
