When the soundtrack isn’t available, Red’s mom sings the song to coax the picky dog to eat. Weird Al Yankovic is one of the most famous parody musicians ever. His Song “Eat It” is a parody version of Michael Jackson’s hit “Beat It.” With different words and a completely different message, Weird Al uses the music and tempo from Jackson’s hit. The message is about a fussy young man, as sung from the perspective of someone trying to get him to eat. In addition to parodying the lyrics, Weird Al spoofed the Michael Jackson music video. Using a song to coax a picky dog to eat is unusual. Most people try to add gravy, wet food, or similar enticements. Think about the money they could save by trying this method. If you have a picky dog at home, try this and see if your dog will eat to the sounds of Weird Al. This could be a trend! Red ignores his food until the soundtrack begins, and his bowl moves to him. They say that some dogs develop personalities similar to their owners over time. Although there is no science behind it, that may include choice in music. Who knows?
