Biden Commits Train Brain Fart‚ PolitiFact Sprays Spin Against the Plain Truth!

Biden Commits Train Brain Fart‚ PolitiFact Sprays Spin Against the Plain Truth!

President Biden obviously misspoke on Tuesday when he implied he went over Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge commuting by train or by bar. Because obviously‚ there were no train tracks over the Key Bridge. The facts mangled here are in Biden's sentence. But the unofficial Biden press secretaries at PolitiFact somehow pretended that Biden wasn't in the wrong. He was wronged.  There was no "Truth-O-Meter" rating for anybody‚ which would suggest these Poynter Institute functionaries know they're messing around. Their target is a Twitter account called @CensoredMen (which seems to be "pro-Palestinian‚" as the media politely say). It was archived as shared on a Facebook group page titled Gavin Newsom Is a Douche. The tweet is factual:  #BREAKING: Joe Biden says he's commuted over the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore many times via train. The problem is that the bridge features no train tracks... PolitiFact's Ciara O'Rourke‚ who often "checks" crazy anti-Biden items on social-media platforms and spins in Biden's favor (such as he is‚ in fact‚ a human being)‚ jumped in with the pro-Biden/not-factual spin. The either/or in this sentence just can't be stretched:  Here’s what he said March 26 at the White House:  "At about 1:30‚ a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge‚ which I’ve been over many‚ many times commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car." The White House clarified Biden’s comments to the New York Post‚ which ran a story headlined: "Biden claims he commuted over collapsed Baltimore Key Bridge by train’ many times’ —  but it doesn’t have any rail lines." "The President is clearly describing driving over the bridge while commuting between Delaware and (Washington) D.C. during his 36-year Senate career‚" the New York Post quoted White House spokesperson Robyn Patterson saying in a statement. Biden has a long history of commuting to the capital.  In other words‚ "the President is clearly describing what he MEANT to say‚ not what he actually said." O'Rourke followed up with more irrelevant blather about how Biden loved taking Amtrak trains.  PS: Our Maryland friends have pointed out you'd be a doofus to exit off I-95 to commute over the Key Bridge on I-695. Google Maps shows that route from Wilmington to Washington just looks like you're trying to delay your arrival:

Illegal migrants who rushed National Guard soldiers in El Paso learn America is a land of laws

Texas law enforcement officials have arrested dozens of migrants allegedly involved in a mob that rushed National Guard soldiers.Last Thursday‚ a mob of angry migrants breached a razor-wire barrier in El Paso and rushed a group of National Guard soldiers. The group of migrants had been camping on the banks of the Rio Grande for several days‚ and officials were sorting the migrants into groups for processing. At some point‚ tensions boiled over‚ and the shocking scene unfolded on camera. — (@) After the incident‚ Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) vowed "to arrest every illegal immigrant involved." Texas authorities are now making good on that promise.According to the New York Post‚ Texas authorities have arrested more than 70 migrants allegedly involved in the incident. They face misdemeanor rioting charges. Sources who spoke to the outlet‚ moreover‚ said that Texas authorities have identified more than 200 other migrants they believe were involved in the incident‚ but federal immigration authorities are not being cooperative."These people were willing to assault military‚" a National Guard source told the Post. "They were willing to assault law enforcement. They have complete disregard for our laws."The arrests came several days after Texas authorities apprehended nine migrants for their alleged involvement in the mob and for allegedly assaulting National Guard soldiers. One of those migrants is 21-year-old Honduran Junior Evaristo-Benitez. He is being held in the El Paso County jail and is facing charges that include assault on a public servant‚ a felony.More from Border Report:Court documents state that Hayden Alexander Baugh‚ a member of the Texas Army National Guard‚ stood in front of the group but was pushed to the ground. Baugh told DPS investigators that Benitez repeatedly stomped on his knee “purposefully and with malice.”After the incident‚ Texas deployed additional soldiers and law enforcement officials to the El Paso area.Like Blaze News? Poem: Sally Read's 'The Crucifier'

Poem: Sally Read's 'The Crucifier'

British poet Sally Read had begun to question her lifelong atheism when she encountered a simple icon of Christ's face in a small Italian village church. In her memoir‚ "Night's Bright Darkness‚" Read recalls a strangely involuntarily impulse to pray: "I heard myself speak honestly and instinctively‚ with no belief or unbelief: 'If you're there‚ you have to help me.'"What followed was an instantaneous‚ visceral experience of the presence of God. "It was as if the Birth‚ the Crucifixion‚ the Resurrection were plunged into my being in one gorgeous blow — this is how it is to all of a sudden know the meaning of reality: the heart kick-started to sense its intrinsic architecture of logic‚ love and reason‚" she writes. The following poem is from "Dawn of this Hunger‚" Read's fourth poetry collection and her first since her conversion. Align is grateful for the opportunity to share it on this Good Friday‚ courtesy of the author and Angelico Press. — Matt HimesThe Crucifier As I nailed him I deafened myself to the shafting of steel through taut wires of tendons‚ through flesh‚ past black pain that snuffed out all thought. Did I look into the bottomless eyes and whisper I was sorry — or did all that come later? Did I let my gaze feed on the faraway hills? The women’s crescendo of cries made me go faster: I hammered with duty and tiredness‚ and waited as dark fell on the cross. But in my dreams I’m still hammering‚ deaf‚ as wind turns the world over‚ and I hammer harder‚ knowing I forge the one still point — like the solderer beating the whitest hot metal‚ I’m crafting the fulcrum where God’s melded with us in our unbending rage — and if I could‚ in this chaos‚ I would set all my children safe upon the crux of that nail. O my God‚ how can I bear it: chosen to be the necessary hurter? I pray to what slipped away in the long grass of our silence — that all I was flipped to goodness on the head of a nail.Sally Read is a poet‚ writer‚ and former psychiatric nurse based near Rome‚ Italy. She is the author of four collections of poetry and two memoirs and editor of the recent "100 Great Catholic Poems."

Why haven't we seen this VERY telling study on police &; racism? Probably because the left covered it up

Author Coleman Hughes recently brought an argument in favor of colorblindness to the leftist panel of "The View‚" and they weren’t having it. “Your argument for colorblindness is something that the right has co-opted‚” one of "The View" cohosts said to Hughes. “You are being used as a pawn by the right‚” she added. The host then accused Hughes of saying that he was a conservative‚ which he denied. “I think it’s better‚ and it would be better for everyone‚ if we stuck to the topics rather than make it about me with no evidence that I’ve been co-opted‚” Hughes said. “Who’s the racist here?” Glenn Beck asks‚ astounded. “We have gotten to a place or we were at a place to where we wanted to see people for the content of their character‚ thought that was right‚ and in many cases‚ that’s the way we judged the world.” Hughes also mentioned a study brought up by Roland Fryer during a speech at the Free Press. The study was on police violence — and it didn’t fall in line with the left’s assumptions of bias in the police force. “I collected a lot of data‚” Fryer‚ who is also African-American‚ said. “We collected millions of observations on everyday use of force that wasn’t lethal. We collected thousands of observations on lethal force‚ and it was in this moment in 2016 that I realized people lose their minds when they don’t like the result.” Fryer noted that he found “some bias in the low-level uses of force everyday‚” which included “pushing up against cars and things like that.” “People seem to like that result‚” he said. “But we didn’t find any racial bias in police shootings‚” he continued‚ noting that he had eight full-time RAs that it took to do the study over the course of a year. When he found the result‚ he hired eight fresh ones — and the study came back the same. “I had colleagues take me to the side and say‚ ‘Don’t publish this‚ you’ll ruin your career‚’” Fryer explained. “I said‚ ‘What are you talking about?’ I said‚ ‘What’s wrong with it?’” Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling‚ thought-provoking analysis‚ and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

Photo of slain‚ mostly naked Jewish woman Hamas paraded in truck on Oct. 7 part of prize-winning images — and outrage erupts

Outrage has erupted after the photo of a mostly naked‚ slain Jewish woman Hamas paraded in a truck amid the Oct. 7 terror attacks against Israel was included in a group of images that won a prestigious photography award. The victim was Shani Louk‚ a 23-year-old German-Israeli tattoo artist‚ and the Associated Press photo of Louk's body in the back of a truck surrounded by armed militants was the first image in a group of AP photos titled "Israel Hamas War" that won first place in Pictures of the Year International's Team Picture Story of the Year category. While the image in question was still available to view on the POY site Friday‚ it was not on the POY's Instagram page Friday‚ which is displaying dozens of winning images. But that Instagram image seems to have been captured before it apparently was deleted. The X post below shows a redacted version of it: — (@) "This premiere category recognizes the collaborative effort of a photography staff covering a single topic or news story‚" the Team Picture Story of the Year category description reads. "It is a narrative picture story that consists of images taken as part of a team effort to cover a single issue or news story."Here's the caption of Ali Mahmud's AP photo; Louk is mentioned in the last sentence: "The militant Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip carried out an unprecedented‚ multi-front attack on Israel at daybreak Saturday‚ Oct. 7‚ 2023‚ firing thousands of rockets as dozens of Hamas fighters infiltrated the heavily fortified border in several locations by air‚ land‚ and sea and catching the country off-guard on a major holiday. Israel's retaliation after Gaza's militant Hamas rulers launched the unprecedented attack on Israel killing over 1‚200 Israelis and taking captive dozens‚ has been fierce for Gaza and it’s [sic] people. Heavy Israeli airstrikes on the enclave has killed thousands of Palestinians. Palestinian militants drive back to the Gaza Strip with the body of Shani Louk‚ a German-Israeli dual citizen‚ during their cross-border attack on Israel‚ Saturday‚ Oct. 7‚ 2023." The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism runs the POY awards‚ self-described as the world’s oldest photojournalism competition‚ the New York Post reported. How are people reacting? As you might guess‚ a number of observers are outraged that the photo won an award: — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) — (@) What did POY have to say?The Post reported that Pictures of the Year International officials said the selection of photos in question expressed “the greater emotions related to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza.”“This year and every year‚ the photos in the competition are selected by a panel of professional journalists tasked with identifying compelling representations of the significant news events of the year‚” POY director Lynden Steele said in a statement‚ the paper said. “While we understand the reactions to the pictures‚ we also believe that photojournalism plays an important role in bringing attention to the harsh realities of war."Anything else?Fox News noted a Jewish Chronicle report saying‚ "In February‚ the families of Louk and other Nova massacre victims sued AP and Reuters for what they alleged to be the involvement of photojournalists employed by those agencies in the atrocities of October 7."But the AP released a statement Feb. 22 responding to the lawsuit from the National Jewish Advocacy Center‚ defending its coverage of the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attacks‚ Fox News reported. "AP had no advance knowledge of the October 7 attacks‚ nor have we seen any evidence — including in the lawsuit — that the freelance journalists who contributed to our coverage did‚" AP's vice president of corporate communication‚ Lauren Easton‚ wrote in a statement‚ according to the cable network. "Allegations like this are reckless and create even more potential danger for journalists in the region." Fox News added that the statement continued‚ "Documenting breaking news events around the world — no matter how horrific — is our job. Without AP and other news organizations‚ the world would not have known what was happening on October 7."
