Early 2000s Country Star Jessica Andrews Has A Crazed Fan Who’s Been Releasing Music Under Her Name For Years

This is wild. If you’re a fan of late-90s/early 2000s country, you no doubt know Jessica Andrews – and even if you don’t recognize the name, you’ve definitely heard her music. Andrews had her biggest hit back in 2001 with “Who I Am,” which went to #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart…and had even grown men identifying as Rosemary’s granddaughter: @heyitsbret Jessica Andrews had 10 year old me feeling like I was actually Rosemarys granddaughter #fyp #2000s #countrymusic #2000smusic #millennialsoftiktok #millennial #2000scountry ♬ Who I Am – Jessica Andrews Though she had a couple of minor hits after “Who I Am,” Andrews’ label was sold in 2004 to MCA Nashville, where she moved and recorded an album that was never released. Well, at least not officially. Andrews revealed during a recent interview with Bobby Bones that the album had somehow been leaked and was probably out there somewhere, thanks to a crazed fan that Andrews says has been bothering her for years: “I have this imposter person that somehow gets these unreleased songs and they’ll put it out.” According to Andrews, the fan won’t accept that she’s not making music anymore: “At first they found anything out there that they could unreleased, and they would try to find that and put it out. But after they ran out of material, then they would just start singing themselves, but yet they’ll release it under my name. If you go on Apple Music right now you can find all of this bogus, horrible sounding stuff. The quality’s bad. And I’m like, oh my gosh, I really hope people don’t think that I’m putting out these songs. It’s terrible.” But it’s not just releasing music as Andrews: She says that the imposter has also booked shows and done interviews posing as Andrews: “I don’t know if it’s her that sings, but I do know that she’s the mastermind that puts it all together… I think sometimes it’s her and then sometimes it might be someone else. But I mean, she’s signed contracts. She books things. I’ve had people that will get in touch with me and say, ‘You didn’t show up for this.'” Andrews says she doesn’t really know what to do about it at this point, because nothing legal that she’s tried has seemed to phase her imposter. And sure enough, on both Apple Music and Spotify there are a ton of songs that have been released under Jessica’s name, including multiple albums of poorly-produced cover songs and even a Christmas album. Just this past week, after the interview with Bones, the imposter even released a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” that’s currently on Andrews’ official Spotify profile – and even features a cover photo of Andrews and Bones. Insane. And to make the whole story more bizarre, Bones revealed that after the interview on the situation aired, the imposter called into his show and left a voicemail with her side of the story: “She claimed at the very beginning of the voicemail that she never impersonated her by booking shows or releasing music. But then she ended the voicemail by saying if Andrews would just release music then she would no longer be threatening to her.” Bones ultimately offered the woman $500 to knock it off, but it doesn’t seem like she has any intention of stopping any time soon. The whole thing has to be terrifying for Andrews, and is beyond bizarre to everyone else, including those who go to streaming platforms looking for her music. Hopefully she’s able to put an end to the whole situation soon, but in the meantime we’ve reached out to Spotify and Apple Music for comment on the situation and will report back if we hear anything on what’s being done to protect Andrews and her music. Concert Goer Suffers Burn On Her Head From Fireworks During Post Malone & Jelly Roll Concert In Toronto

Sometimes being close to the stage at a concert isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be. Currently, Post Malone is traveling across the country on their 2025 Big A** Stadium Tour, and Jelly Roll is playing a big part in the tour as well. The pair teamed up to bring their country stylings (both started their music careers in hip-hop) to country fans all across North America, and this past Monday, they played in Toronto, Ontario at the Rogers Centre. Like most of the other dates along the duo’s tour, the stadium was packed with country music fans (and individuals who previously liked Posty’s work before he went country) wishing to hear the hits from both Post Malone and Jelly Roll. One fan by the name of Bre (last name potentially Bartlett) was seated – or rather standing – in the pit of the venue singing along to Jelly Roll’s “Save Me” when the unthinkable happened. Anyone that has been to a concert recently knows that big stadium shows often pull out all of the stops for maximum engagement. That means massive screens, expansive stage set ups, and… pyrotechnics. Most modern artists simply can’t pass up including well-timed fireworks in their shows, and Post Malone and Jelly Roll are no exception. Typically the inclusion of pyrotechnics in a concert is a positive thing… unless they accidentally shoot into the crowd. As you’ll see in this video below, it appears that one of the fireworks that went off while Jelly Roll was performing struck this concert goer in the head. Shockingly, you can see smoke coming from the country music fan’s head as the spark ate through some of her hair and left a burn mark: @bartlett.xo @Jelly Roll #toronto #postmalone #postmaloneconcert #jellyroll ♬ original sound – Bre That’s pretty scary. Fortunately, it seems like Bre is okay, and only suffered that minor burn. That being said… you shouldn’t ever come home from a concert with any kind of injury (maybe besides a headache brought on from head-banging all night long). Or maybe a hangover… So social media users are now encouraging the concert goer to… well, get her bag. Although, what are the real damages here? A minor burn on the noggin isn’t getting you a 7 figure check… “At the ‘I’m so damaged beyond repair’ part of the song is crazy.” “Girl you getting PAID.” “All I see is a lawsuit.” “GET A LAWYER.” “Girl that could have been so much worse if you were facing the stage!! I hope you’re able to get in contact with someone.” “I hope the lawsuit is being written as I write this comment.” “Get in contact with Post or Jelly Roll QUICK.” With this incident only happening a few days ago, there’s still a chance that Post Malone or Jelly Roll could make things right with this concert goer. Both artists have been known to be gracious to their fans, and they’d surely go the extra mile to help out someone who figuratively and literally got burnt during their Big A** Stadium Tour. She did receive free merch from the venue. That being said, it appears as though it has happened to a number of people during the tour… probably something they should look into and re-evaluate: @bartlett.xo Replying to @Jmakowsky72_20 #postmaloneconcert #postmalone #jellyroll #jellyrollconcert ♬ original sound – Bre The post Concert Goer Suffers Burn On Her Head From Fireworks During Post Malone & Jelly Roll Concert In Toronto first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Lesbian couple answers the most frequent questions they get from strangers about having a baby

Despite society having made a lot of progress when it comes to same-sex relationships and alternative families, it’s not so commonplace that many queer parents are still presented with questions about their lifestyle from straight people. And while queer parents probably (rightfully) grow tired of answering certain questions day in and day out, having open conversation helps break through the lack of understanding which causes stigma and misconceptions in the first place. In a now-viral video shared to their Instagram, lesbian moms Allie and Sam Conway answer commonly asked questions they get as a queer married couple with twins. What it like to be lesbian parents?Of course, they started with the age-old question:“Who’s the real mom?”Though people by and large are able to differentiate biological connection from emotional connection (like with adoptive parents or step-parents to take on an active role in their step children’s lives), this is still a question that same-sex parents face regularly. And it’s a fairly harmful one at that, as it implicitly undermines the non-biological parent’s role in the family. So, to Sam’s point: “We’re both the mom.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by ALLIE + SAM CONWAY (@allieandsam)Allie also told Upworthy that the usual response to this answer is "oh my gosh! That’s amazing!" Which makes her—and us—"smile so much."Next up:“Who’s the dad?”To which they replied: “there isn’t a dad.”This is also a question fused with negative connotation, as it suggests a father figure is necessary for raising well-adjusted kids. But research shows that kids born to same-sex parents fare just as well as the children of straight couples, indicating that what’s really necessary for a child’s development is two healthy, loving parents. That’s it.Okay, this next one actually had an answer that surprised some folks:“Who carried them?”Though Sam wanted to be the one to get pregnant, Allie agreed to try after Sam’s “long fertility journey” of three IUI’s, three embryo transfers and multiple chemical pregnancies with one miscarriage. However, the couple used Sam’s eggs, and Sam did the breastfeeding. How the heck did that happen, you might wonder. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. So did lots of viewers. Sam underwent induced lactation, which tricks the body into thinking it’s pregnant and producing breast milk—it’s something often utilized by adoptive mothers. What is induced lactation?Induced lactation replicates the natural hormone process that happens when a woman gives birth. In this process, women are often given hormone supplements, such as estrogen or progesterone, to mimic the effects of pregnancy. This process may go on for months. About two months before the expected birth, the woman is then given a breast pump to stimulate lactation. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ALLIE + SAM CONWAY (@allieandsam)Lastly, a fun one:“What do the kids call you?”“Mummy and other mummy,” Sam quipped. “We’re rotating all day,” Allie added.Without proper understanding, stigma persists. That’s how myths like “queer parents turn their children gay” or “children of two-mother families are more likely to be bullied” continue. And while it’s certainly not the responsibility of parents like Allie and Sam to educate folks on the realities of queer parenting, it’s great that they do offer genuine insight. And thankfully, they are usually met with positive reactions from people, Allie tells Upworthy. Which only further encourages them to answer more question and offer glimpses into "different types of families."At the end of the day, families are made up of people who love and support one another. Everything else is just window dressing.Check out even more heartwarming family content from Allie and Sam on Instagram.
