He said America consists of “red and green states…” He confused Mexico’s president with Egypt’s leader… He protested claims of having a fading memory … then forgot where he got his Rosary beads None of that mattered to Stephen Colbert. The far-Left “Late Show” host still has Biden’s back. At least for now.     Colbert alluded to Biden’s gaffe-tastic week from his CBS perch. From there it was spin‚ spin‚ spin‚ suggesting the report’s biggest bombshell was “old” news. “After a 15 month investigation‚ Special Counsel Hur has determined Joe Biden is old.” The far-Left host then mocked Special Counsel Robert Hur with a silly‚ ad-hominem attack. He admitted leading Democrats are still worried about the fallout from the investigation. “Some say it’s the lighting‚ other democratic operatives are pushing for Biden to use better makeup. Explains Maybelline’s new slogan‚ ‘maybe she’s born with it — maybe she’s the only thing standing between us and the complete collapse of American democracy.’” Yes‚ Colbert played the tired‚ farcical‚ “our democracy depends on electing one leader and not the other” card. Colbert Hearts Biden: We Can’t Let Trump Win “Here’s the thing: Hur’s extracurricular description of the president reinforces a concern many voters already have about his advanced age. But we are where we are. Unless something drastic happens‚ it’s Biden versus Trump … Voters are just going to have to choose between the sympathetic‚ well meaning elderly man with a poor memory‚ or a contemptible‚ malicious elderly rapist with a poor memory.” Why “at least for now?” Consider how The New York Times has supported President Biden through very thick and thin for three-plus years. Over the weekend‚ the Old Gray Lady published several op-eds tied to his obvious mental decline sans apology. Others‚ like Democratic pundit Paul Begala‚ couldn’t hide his shock at the turn of events. That means Colbert and co.‚ AKA Team Late Night‚ may still turn on Biden if the media and the Democrats decide the Commander in Chief can’t win come Election Day due to his age and the party will force him off the presidential ticket. If/when that happens‚ Colbert will suddenly find the courage to satirically smack Biden around from his CBS pulpit. Until then‚ Colbert remains on Team Biden with or without pom-poms. It’s worth noting that Jon Stewart‚ who returned to his “Daily Show” perch Monday night‚ proved far tougher on Biden. He mocked both Biden and Donald Trump for being too old to run for the presidency‚ but Stewart’s monologue didn’t play down Biden’s obvious mental decline. Stewart challenged the Biden White House to release video proof of the Commander in Chief’s mental acuity.    

NBC correspondent Joe Fryer sat down for an interview with actor Eddie Izzard for the Saturday edition of Today to hype a solo performance of Hamlet. While that may be interesting by itself‚ Fryer claimed that Izzard’s transgender and “gender fluid” identities help Izzard portray the vast assortment of characters in the play. Before launching into the pre-recorded segment‚ Fryer hyped‚ “Yeah‚ so here’s the deal: Izzard has no co-stars‚ this is a one-person production of the famous Shakespearean play. Izzard‚ who uses she/her pronouns and came out as transgender in 1985‚ told me being gender fluid helps her portray so many roles‚ male and female. It's a challenge she's relishing.”     Males have been playing female characters and females have been playing male characters since the beginning of plays. It’s called “acting.” It is ironic that Fryer chose to hype Izzard's version of Hamlet because‚ in Shakespeare’s day‚ it was standard procedure for young men to play female characters. Somehow‚ those men were able to play female characters and still know that‚ when they took their costumes off‚ they were still men. Fryer then launched into his profile of Izzard‚ but he never showed any clip of Izzard claiming being gender fluid helps one be a better actor. After playing several clips from Izzard’s career‚ Fryer did manage to get in one more round of pronoun madness‚ “Now Izzard‚ who uses she/her pronouns‚ is in the middle of doing Shakespeare's Hamlet all by herself.” Maybe Fryer does have a point‚ just not the one he thinks he has. Actors—whether portraying someone of the same sex‚ opposite sex‚ or a talking animal—pretend to be people they aren’t‚ just like Izzard in real life. The only difference is that one demands to be taken literally. Hamlet is‚ I believe‚ 29‚551 words‚ I'm guessing you shortened that a little bit‚ but it's still a lot of words‚ right?  IZZARD: It is a lot‚ it's about 13 to 15‚000 words.  FRYER: Shakespearean words‚ how do you memorize that?  IZZARD: It's hard work‚ the mental stress of getting to this place has been intense. 

A California pit bull breeder was brutally mauled to death by the very dogs he cared for in his own backyard. The slain man's girlfriend made a gruesome discovery on Friday morning when she found her boyfriend's mutilated body lying in a kennel area. The Compton Fire Department‚ along with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department‚ responded to the backyard bloodbath around 8 a.m. after the woman called 911. Aerial footage shows a woman carefully scaling a fence in an attempt to exit the backyard of the Compton home teeming with pit bulls. Investigators say a surveillance camera caught the fatal mauling on video‚ which occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday. “He was feeding the dogs‚ at which point maybe there was an altercation between some of the dogs‚ and [they] ultimately attacked and mauled the victim‚" said Michael Gomez with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau.The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control said authorities were cautious when rounding up the 13 pit bulls – five adult dogs and eight puppies. Animal control officials will determine if any of the deadly pit bulls need to be euthanized."Preliminary information suggests that the deceased individual was involved in breeding and selling pit bulls‚” animal control officials said in a statement.The father of the deceased dog owner is "cooperating and has consented to signing over the dogs" to the Department of Animal Care and Control.Department of Animal Care and Control director Marcia Mayeda said‚ "Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of the victim. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to determine the facts and ensure the safety and well-being of both the community and the animals involved."Damian Wesley with the Compton Animal Rescue told KTLA‚ "It sucks that it brings awareness from a death. I hope that awareness is spread… that people need to take great care of their dogs.
