Elon Musk: “Without Me, Trump Would Have Lost The Election”

President Trump responded to Elon Musk’s criticism of the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill,’ saying he’s “very disappointed” with him. “I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the innerworkings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here,” Trump told reporters. “He only developed a problem when he found out we’re going to have to cut the EV mandate,” he continued. “He never had a problem until right after he left,” Trump said. “I’m very disappointed in Elon. I’ve helped Elon a lot,” he added. WATCH: NEW: Trump speaks on Elon coming out against the BBB “I would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon…I’m very disappointed with Elon. Such ingratitude — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 5, 2025 Screenshot: From the New York Post: Musk has been on a three-day warpath against the Trump-endorsed reconciliation legislation in a slew of posts on X after departing as head of the Department of Government Efficiency on Friday, calling the measure “disgusting” and urging Congress to “kill the bill.” The Tesla and SpaceX CEO publicly slammed the GOP proposal for potentially adding trillions to the deficit, and was privately irked by the removal of Biden-era tax credits for electric vehicles, among other grievances. “False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!” Musk said. Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill,” Musk said in another post. “In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this! Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill. Slim and beautiful is the way,” he added. Whatever. Keep the good, remove the bad — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 5, 2025 Fox News reports: Trump-loyalist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., dropped a bombshell this week, revealing that she had not read the One Big Beautiful Bill Act in its entirety and no longer supports it. Greene joins the growing list of President Donald Trump’s staunchest House GOP allies who have come out in opposition of the bill they voted for two weeks ago. Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., another loyal MAGA member, said Elon Musk was “right to call out House Leadership” this week. “I wish I had a nickel for every time the @freedomcaucus sounded the alarm and nobody listened, only to find out the hard way we were right all along. We expect MASSIVE improvements from the Senate before it gets back to the House,” Perry said, referring to the bill he voted for. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act passed by one vote in the House after weeks of overnight committee debates and last-minute huddles in House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office. Coined by Trump himself, he has championed the legislation to fulfill his key campaign promises, including border security, American energy production and tax cuts. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is under consideration by both a Republican-led White House and Congress. But it’s faced hiccups in the Senate this week as Republicans have indicated they do not support the bill in its current form.

Amazon Reportedly Developing ‘Humanoid Robots’ For Package Deliveries

Amazon is reportedly developing AI software to enable humanoid robots for package deliveries. The Information first reported the development. According to the report, the humanoid robots would ride around in Rivian electric vans and deliver packages. JUST IN – Amazon to test humanoid robots for deliveries. The robots may ride in Amazon's more than 20,000 electric Rivian vans and deliver packages — The Information pic.twitter.com/jTdFdDVidr — Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) June 5, 2025 From The Verge: Citing an anonymous source “involved in the effort,” The Information says that Amazon has almost finished constructing an indoor “humanoid park” at one of the retail giant’s San Francisco offices that’s roughly the size of a coffee shop. The obstacle course reportedly contains one Rivian van for training purposes, with Amazon aiming to have humanoid robots “hitch a ride in the back of Amazon’s electric Rivian vans and spring out to deliver packages.” The report coincides with Amazon launching a new agentic AI team to help develop technologies that will power robots “operating in Amazon distribution and logistics hubs.” In a statement to Silicon Valley, Amazon says that “instead of rigid, specialized robots, we’re creating systems that can hear, understand, and act on natural language commands, turning warehouse robots into flexible, multi-talented assistants.” One of the biggest concerns with AI is the technology eliminating countless jobs in the workforce currently performed by humans. The fear applies to blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Dario Amodei, the CEO of Anthropic, warned AI could eliminate half of all entry-level white-collar jobs and spark massive unemployment of 10-20% within five years. “AI is starting to get better than humans at almost all intellectual tasks, and we’re going to collectively, as a society, grapple with it,” Amodei told CNN‘s Anderson Cooper. “AI is going to get better at what everyone does, including what I do, including what other CEOs do,” he added. Amodei said AI has rapidly progressed from the level of a “smart high school student” to the level of a “smart college student.” He warned entry-level jobs in finance, consulting, tech, and similar fields will be on the chopping block. “It’s hard to predict the future but we may indeed have a serious employment crisis on our hands,” Amodei said. WATCH: Dario Amodei says AI has advanced from a smart high-schooler to a smart college student in two years it could help cure cancer, fight Alzheimer’s, and lower energy costs. but it also puts entry-level jobs in finance, consulting, and tech at risk, shrinking job opportunities… pic.twitter.com/5KwoHGLQ10 — Haider. (@slow_developer) May 30, 2025 The Guardian reports: Even with a human driver behind the wheel, a robot could theoretically speed up drop-off times by visiting one address while the human employee delivers to another. Amazon also has an interest in self-driving vehicles through its Zoox unit. Amazon has more than 20,000 Rivians in the US and has placed one of the vans in the humanoid testing zone, according to the report. Once it has tested the robots in the humanoid park, it plans to take them on “field trips” in the real world where they will attempt to deliver packages to homes. Amazon has already conducted trials with humanoid robots, deploying devices developed by the US company Agility Robotics in its warehouses. The chief executive of Agility, Peggy Johnson, told the Guardian last year that the company’s Digit robot allowed employees to hand off work to humanoids and become a “robot manager”. Last year Amazon was given permission to test-fly drones beyond a human controller’s line of sight in the UK, paving the way for using the technology in home delivery. Prof Subramanian Ramamoorthy, the chair of robot learning and autonomy at the University of Edinburgh, said Amazon had a respected robotics team and its reported focus on “last mile” delivery was not a surprise. The humanoid robot hardware capable of carrying out such a task is becoming available and the field is developing rapidly, he said. However, he added, the challenge was to achieve reliable performance outside highly constrained environments such as the reported “humanoid park”.

Biden Responds to Trump’s Probe of His Mental Capacity & President Autopen

President Trump ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi via memo to investigate Joe Biden’s competence while serving as US President and not signing official documents. Joe Biden responded and said it’s “nothing more than a distraction.” The inquiry also alleges Biden’s top aides masked his “cognitive decline:” “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during […] The post Biden Responds to Trump’s Probe of His Mental Capacity & President Autopen appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Trump Hails ‘Very Good’ Trade Call With China’s Xi

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he had just had a “very good” phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding trade. In a statement posted to Truth Social, Trump said he and Xi discussed “some of the intricacies” of the deal struck last month between their countries in Geneva, which had resulted in both sides lowering steep tariffs as negotiations continued. “The call lasted approximately one and a half hours, and resulted in a very positive conclusion for both Countries. There should no longer be any questions respecting the complexity of Rare Earth products,” Trump posted. Last week, Trump accused Beijing of violating their agreement, after which U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer told CNBC that China was continuing to restrict shipments of rare earth elements that are vital for the U.S. automotive, energy, and defense industries. “Our respective teams will be meeting shortly at a location to be determined. We will be represented by Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer,” Trump continued. Trump also said Xi “graciously invited” the first lady and himself to visit China, and he “reciprocated” that invitation. Gift Dad an All Access Membership. Nothing was discussed concerning Russia/Ukraine, or Iran. We will inform the Media as to scheduling and location of the soon to be meeting. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Beijing, which on Monday had accused the United States of violating the detente on trade, confirmed that a conversation took place and claimed Trump requested the phone discussion with Xi. China’s state media reported that Xi asked Trump to “remove the negative measures” and to “take the helm and set the right course,” according to The Associated Press. The conversation took place one week after Bessent told Fox News that discussions between the two economic powerhouses were “a bit stalled” and suggested that a call between Trump and Xi would be needed for a breakthrough. Early Wednesday morning, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I like President Xi of China, always have, and always will, but he is VERY TOUGH, AND EXTREMELY HARD TO MAKE A DEAL WITH!!!”
