During the Bondi Hearing, Sen. Schmitt Reviews the 10-Year Conspiracy

Sen. Schmitt reviewed the Russiagate conspiracy and the continued spying, as well as the laundering of information to sideline a duly-elected president. That went on from President Trump’s first four years until the present day. They pre-bunked the Hunter laptop story. They should have allowed the American people to decide how important it was. Republicans Mark Oct. 7 With Calls For IRS To Revoke Tax-Exempt Status Of Terrorist-Linked Groups

WASHINGTON—Republicans are urging the IRS to prioritize revoking the tax-exempt status of eight organizations with alleged “links to designated foreign terrorist groups,” and others “linked to violence and unrest” across the nation. The letter, from Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and IRS CEO Frank Bisignano, comes on the second anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. “From the international funding sources and activities of tax-exempt entities in the U.S., and the role of certain organizations in fostering antisemitism on college campuses, the Committee has remained steadfast in ensuring that all tax-exempt organizations are abiding by their exempt status,” the letter reads. Smith referred some of the groups named in Tuesday’s letter to the IRS for revocation during the 118th Congress. In his letter, the chairman noted that shortly after the committee sent revocation letters, the Treasury Department designated Samidoun as a terrorist organization “that serves as an international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a Foreign Terrorist Organization.” However, Smith said that due to recent “political violence and the continued concerning actions by the previously referred organizations with ties to official foreign terrorist organizations,” he said it is important that the IRS takes action. “These organizations have failed to operate for their tax exempt purpose. Tax-exempt status is a privilege, not a right, and in exchange, organizations must operate for stated exempt purposes,” Smith said. Smith notes that the Americans for Justice in Palestine Educational Foundation, American Muslims for Palestine, and Islamic Relief USA, are “suspected of having terrorist ties to groups like Hamas,” and claims they use ties to “actively support and funnel resources in support of terrorism.” The letter names the following organizations: Americans for Justice in Palestine Educational Foundation, American Muslims for Palestine, Islamic Relief USA, Alliance for Global Justice, WESPAC Foundation, Tides Foundation, Peoples Media Project (The Palestine Chronicle), and The People’s Forum. It includes other groups: Alliance for Global Justice, WESPAC Foundation, and the Tides Foundation, which they say “disrupt college campuses, incite violence and intimidation, and illegal riot across the United States.” Students for Justice in Palestine and Samidoun were cited as one of the notable projects, according to the letter. Late last month, President Donald Trump issued a National Security Presidential Memorandum directing the IRS to make sure no tax-exempt entities are “directly or indirectly financing political violence or domestic terrorism.” The letter applauded the move and said Committee Republicans are “glad that the Trump Administration is taking the threat of tax-exempt entities with ties to political violence and terrorism seriously.” Smith encouraged the IRS to prioritize examinations and vowed to continue their oversight work on tax-exempt organizations.

The Government Shutdown Means There’s No September Jobs Report. Is That Bad?

The Government Shutdown Means There’s No September Jobs Report. Is That Bad?

WASHINGTON—The first Friday of every month usually brings one of the government’s most closely-watched economic indicators: the monthly jobs report. The Federal Reserve relies on the report to make policy, while news outlets — and their readers — look to the monthly jobs report as an indicator of how the economy is doing. And the White House usually trumpets the jobs numbers to celebrate or defend its handling of the economy. Thanks to the government shutdown, we aren’t going to get September’s job report. The jobs report set to drop last Friday would have said that the United States added 50,000 jobs in September, economists estimate. That’s 32,000 more jobs than the previous month, but 200,000 fewer than September of last year. And while significantly down from highs in mid-2022, inflation is up from earlier this year at 2.9% for the 12 months ending in August. But that’s all we’re getting so long as the government is shut down. Out of 2,055 employees at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), only one is still reporting for duty. Even if that one employee wanted to put out the report, he couldn’t: the Antideficiency Act bars federal agencies from carrying out normal operations during a lapse in appropriations, unless their work relates to “emergencies involving the safety of human life or the protection of property.” Jobs numbers may not be essential under the shutdown’s legal definition, but they are a critical input for the Federal Reserve, which has to make a decision on interest rates later this month. “You know, it is such an unusual situation,” Powell said at last month’s Federal Reserve meeting. “Ordinarily, when the labor market is weak, inflation is low; and when the labor market is really strong, that’s when you’ve got to be careful about inflation.” Powell added that it’s a situation “where we have two-sided risk, and that means there’s no risk-free path. Powell did note that the risk of a persistent inflation outbreak is down, allowing the Fed to pursue policy in the direction of neutrality. In September, the Fed Committee voted to lower the fed funds rate by a quarter percentage point. Polymarket, the largest crypto-based prediction market platform, is predicting an additional 25-basis-point cut on Wednesday. Typically, the Fed avoids cutting rates when inflation is above 2%. But last month, it cited a weakening labor market as justification for the cut. With odds of a 25-basis-point cut at 90%, traders on Polymarket are expecting the Fed to cite a weakening labor market again. This is the latest dustup in a bumpy year for the Federal Reserve. In late August, President Trump called for the firing of Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook over allegations of mortgage fraud. Cook refused to resign, stating that the president did not have the authority to do so because the Federal Reserve is an independent agency. And while Cook and Trump’s feud just began last month, the president has been sparring with Powell for most of his second term. Last week, President Trump took to Truth Social to state, “I really believe that Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell is an OBSTRUCTIONIST!” In July, President Trump brought his transgressions in person when he toured the Federal Reserve construction project, noting the “cost overruns are substantial.” The conflict notably escalated in April 2025 when Trump posted on Truth Social that Powell’s “termination cannot come fast enough!” While not having fired anyone at the Fed, President Trump did fire Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Erika McEntarfer, whom he claimed “RIGGED” jobs numbers. He nominated Heritage Foundation economist EJ Antoni to lead the Bureau, but the White House has since pulled the nomination. Regardless of who’s at the Bureau’s helm, job numbers won’t be released until the government reopens. And without Friday’s jobs numbers, the Federal Reserve will be forced to turn to alternative sources. Speaking at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce today, Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic offered insight into alternative data reports. “We have a survey center,” Bostic explained. “We do a bunch of surveys of businesses — for example we ask CEOs what’s your hiring plan for the next twelve months, what’s the likelihood you will reduce prices in the next quarter to get an idea of what actual decision makers are doing.”

Man With 200 Explosives And Leftist Manifesto Arrested Outside Supreme Court Event At Church: Police

Washington, D.C., police on Sunday arrested a man with hundreds of explosive devices outside a church holding a Mass in honor of the Supreme Court. The man had a manifesto that suggested he was targeting the Supreme Court and Catholics, according to court papers obtained by The Daily Wire. Louis Geri, a 41-year-old from Arizona and New Jersey, was apprehended outside the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on October 5, the same day the church held its annual “Red Mass” in which a cardinal prays for the high court as it embarks on a new term, and which is historically attended by justices. Geri was occupying a green tent on the steps of the church when police attempted to clear the area in preparation for the Supreme Court event. He told police, “You might want to stay back and call the federales, I have explosives,” according to an affidavit. A member of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Bomb Squad then told him he needed to move because of a special event. He replied, “I’m aware of that (referring to the Red Mass),” police wrote, and threatened to throw a bomb into the street as a demonstration, adding, “I have a hundred plus of them.” Police said they would remove him against his will, and he replied, “Several of your people are gonna die from one of these.” With a lighter in one hand, he handed them nine pieces of paper that amounted to a manifesto entitled, “Written Negotiations for the Avoidance of Destruction of Property via Detonation of Explosives.” The manifesto “revealed his significant animosity towards the Catholic church, members of the Jewish faith, members of SCOTUS and ICE/ ICE facilities,” police wrote, indicating that the incident may be the latest in a string of left-wing domestic terrorism. Geri “then shifted his right thumb over top of the butane lighter to initiate the lighting action and stated, ‘You better have these people step away or there’s going to be deaths.'” Priests and worshipers leave after celebrating the 72nd Annual Red Mass in 2024. (Astrid Riecken For The Washington Post via Getty Images) Geri then left the tent to urinate on a tree and was apprehended by three officers, at which point he said he had a device in his pocket. A bomb squad technician located in his pocket “a vial with a white cap, which contained yellow liquid inside, with an M-device taped to the exterior.” After he was arrested, the bomb squad located “a large cache of handmade destructive devices” in the tent, police said. He was charged with: Unlawful Entry, Manufacture, Transfer, Use, Possession or Transportation of Molotov Cocktails, or other Explosives for Unlawful purposes, Threats to Kidnap or Injure a person, Assault on Police Officer x 2, Possession of Destructive Device, Manufacture or Possession of Weapon of Mass Destruction (Hate Crime) and Resisting Arrest. There was a strong smell of acetone emitting from some of the vials. Some of the liquid was determined to be Nitro Methane. The liquid appeared to be multiple chemicals mixed together, none in original containers … the devices appeared to be fully functional.” Police said that in a jailhouse interview, Geri told them that “he planned to use the modified bottle rockets with the aluminum foil heads attached and treated in a Thermite solution to allow for his detonation of the devices from a distance.” He is being held in jail without bond. No justices attended the mass this year because of security concerns, according to the National Catholic Reporter – concerns which appear to have been justified. Last year, three justices, all conservative, attended: John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. In 2018, leftists were photographed protesting the mass with signs that said “Stop Kavanaugh,” and referring to the false smear peddled by Democrat senators that Kavanaugh was a gang-rapist. In that case, Judge Deborah Boardman departed from sentencing guidelines by 22 years, sentencing Roske to just eight years instead of the 30 years-to-life called for by sentencing guidelines. Prosecutors had warned that a stiffer sentence was needed to deter others from attempting to assassinate justices, and this new incident could add to calls from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to impeach Judge Boardman. According to public records reviewed by The Daily Wire, Geri was from Vineland, New Jersey, but had been living in a motel in Mesa, Arizona, for the last several years. In 2021, an Arizona jury found him guilty of indecent exposure. He was admitted to state prison in August 2022 and released in May 2023, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections. Trump: ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’ That NFL Chose Bad Bunny For Super Bowl Halftime Show

President Trump is not on board with the NFL’s decision to have ICE-bashing artist Bad Bunny as the Halftime Show performer at Super Bowl LX in February. “This guy does not seem like a unifying entertainer and a lot of folks don’t even know who he is,” Newsmax’s Greg Kelly said during a phone interview. Kelly asked Trump if people should “entertain blowing off the NFL.” “I never heard of him. I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it, it’s crazy, and then they blame it on some promoter that they hired to pick up entertainment, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous,” Trump added. The NFL and Apple Music announced on September 28 that the Puerto Rican recording artist will be performing during the most watched television event of the year. Critics were quick to point out that the artist, whose real name is Benito Ocasio, had already refused to perform in the United States due to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers doing their jobs. Ocasio referred to ICE agents as “motherf***ers” and “sons of b****es” in a video he posted to Instagram. The three-time Grammy Award-winner said during a recent interview that he didn’t book any tour stops in the United States because he was worried ICE agents would target concert attendees. “There was the issue of — like, f***ing ICE could be outside. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.” Social media users also pointed out that none of Bad Bunny’s songs are in English. He later addressed the backlash he and the NFL received following the announcement, advising viewers to learn Spanish if they didn’t like it. “Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors,” Bad Bunny said in Spanish during a monologue on “Saturday Night Live.” “It’s more than a win for myself; it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.” The singer then switched to English, saying, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.” There have been calls to boycott the NFL and replace Bad Bunny as the halftime performer ever since the announcement was made. The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
