Crossing the gap between you and others June 21 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him. – Romans 10:12 Years ago in Brazil, a contingent from a native Indian tribe was scheduled to meet with President Ernesto Geisel. The men arrived wearing their traditional clothing, and were denied an audience with the President because they weren't properly dressed in suits and ties. The incident made the Brazilian national news. So the native men told the press, "We now insist that any government official visiting an Indian village must wear a feathered headdress and body paint!" Everyone has a tendency now and then to have the attitude, "My way or the highway!" They refuse to interact with others because of what they see as irreconcilable differences brought about by generation gaps and culture. But the truth is that your way may not be the only way of doing things. That's why God calls all of us to break through those barriers... to cross cultural boundaries and to bridge generation gaps in order to further His Kingdom. It's not your way or the highway. It's always God's way first. Follow His way by stepping out of your comfort zone and engaging people of different cultures and ages. When you do, you'll find you're much more alike than you'd ever imagined! A Prayer to Trust God with Your ProblemsBy Christine Perry “Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.” Isaiah 26:4 NIV I used to think if you followed Christ, things would be smooth sailing. After serving in ministry, I realized I was wrong. Sometimes, following the Lord means facing more problems. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 11:23-27, "Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked." This is the polar opposite of smooth sailing. The longer I've come to know the Lord, the more I realize that He doesn't always stop the storms and problems from coming. Yet, He is our Rock in the midst of it. Only He can give us a song in the night. Only He can give us peace in uncertainty. Only He can keep us going when we have nothing in the tank. He does this by lifting our eyes to Him, the maker of heaven and earth and the creator of us. If He spoke the world into existence, He can speak into our situations. But, sometimes, He remains quiet, and when He is quiet, He wants us to trust His character. God has never and will never fail. Things may be incredibly uncomfortable, but He is trustworthy in handling our problems. He knew we would face them before we were even born. He can handle any situation we face without strain. Simply saying God is able can help shift our perspective from the problem to the Lord. I don't know what you are facing, but God does, and He sees You. He also sees the whole picture. Lean into Him. Cling to the promises of His Word. He will not fail. And regardless of whatever we are facing, He has ultimately won the greatest battle we will ever face - death and atonement for our sins. God is worthy of our trust and knows what He is doing.  Let’s pray: Dear Heavenly Father,Thank You that You are our Father. Thank You that You care about every situation, every person, and every hardship we face. Thank You that we can ask for wisdom when we don't know what to do.Thank You that we are never out of Your hands and never out of sight. Thank You that You hear us. Thank You that You're trustworthy. Thank You for Your Word that says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." Isaiah 43:2.  Lord, we confess that it's not Your trustworthiness that causes us to doubt. It's our own self-reliance, independence, and pride that makes us think we have to handle all our problems on our own. Please soften our hearts. Make us moldable and create a deeper trust in us for You. Father, we are aware that apart from You, we are and can do nothing, but with You, we can endure all things. And as Charles Spurgeon said, please help us to learn to kiss the waves that throw us against the Rock of Ages. Amen! Former President Trump called to offer condolences to Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin, the mother of five who was allegedly raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, prompting a very different reaction than her response to the Biden administration’s seeming indifference to her pain. Patty Morin revealed on Wednesday that no one in the Biden administration had reached out to her after the arrest of Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 23, who was arrested last Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape in Rachel Morin’s death. Morin was murdered while she was reportedly jogging on the Ma and Pa hiking trail in Bel Air, Maryland last August. “I am deeply touched by President Trump’s kindness and concern,” Patty Morin stated, according to The New York Post. “He was genuine and truly wanted to know how our family was coping. He asked about Rachel and showed honest compassion for her untimely death. His words brought comfort to me during this very difficult time.” On Tuesday, CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, “What do you say to critics who blame the administration for allowing something like this to happen? Obviously this is something you hear in Right-wing media all the time.” Mayorkas refused to refer to Rachel Morin by name, answering, “Jim, first and foremost, of course our hearts break for the children, the family, the loved ones, the friends of the individual who was murdered — the woman — the mother. Jim, a criminal is responsible for the criminal act. The criminal who committed this heinous act should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law, and forcefully so. That is my response.” On Wednesday, Patty Morin blasted Mayorkas, saying, “It’s a completely political statement … It totally depersonalizes her and makes her an object. … No one has contacted me personally and as far as I know, no one has reached out and contacted anyone in the family. … to categorize her as a statistic, it just shows how impersonal they are and how they don’t value life.” “They just seem to be disconnected completely from what is happening at the southern border and how it is affecting Americans,” Morin family attorney Randolph Rice added. “They are hemorrhaging at the southern border and they’re arguing about what kind of band-aid to put on it when instead they should be putting a tourniquet on it and stopping this flow so that we don’t have another Rachel Morin.” Related: Mayorkas Blames ‘Criminal,’ Denies Any Responsibility For Latest Murder Allegedly By Illegal Alien

The Regime Media is in full firefight mode over the recent onslaught of viral videos showing President Joe Biden in a less-than-favorable cognitive light. NBC’s entry into this field is significantly less ridiculous than Nancy Cordes’ fiasco of a report for CBS. But still ridiculous, nonetheless. Watch as Gutierrez attempts to establish that the video is a fake, despite clear evidence to the contrary: GABE GUTIERREZ:The video went viral faster than usual. President Biden at the G7 summit in Italy surrounded by world leaders, appearing to wander off before being pulled back to the group by the Italian prime minister. In reality, another camera angle showed the president was actually trying to greet skydivers who just finished a demonstration. But the Republican National Committee and conservative media quickly amplified the first angle, falsely claiming the president was meandering. The Biden campaign is calling it a, quote, “cheap fake”.  Of course, it wasn’t. And, of course, Biden did meander at the G7. Biden walked away from a staged photo-op in order to talk to the skydivers. Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni wrangled Biden back into the picture, moving some prime ministers around in the process. Moving ahead, Gutierrez talked to a top Biden staffer, who defined “cheap fake” as “deceptively edited video. To his credit, Gutierrez got into the substance of the G7 argument, and explained some of the other videos.  Gutierrez also brought on a Trump spokesperson, explained “the bloodbath hoax”, and had some Trump clips afterwards. This is significantly more of a balanced effort than Nancy Cordes’ awful report. Nonetheless, it is still media firefighting. Gutierrez did attempt to establish the G7 video as a fake. This was still Regime Media firefighting in an effort to Protect the Precious from his biggest vulnerabilities: age and cognitive decline. FLAHERTY: We have to be more aggressive about monitoring, about intervening, about taking action against it because it is just going to be such a centerpiece of how he's communicating. GUTIERREZ: That G7 video is among a string of clips that some Republicans say raises concerns about President Biden's age and abilities. Tonight the Trump campaign is arguing there's nothing wrong with highlighting videos that are not digitally altered like this clip of President Biden standing still for several seconds on stage at a Hollywood fund-raiser until former President Obama leads him off stage and another where he also stood still as people danced around him during a Juneteenth celebration. The White House says the president did not freeze in these incidents but was enjoying the moment. Tonight the Trump team telling us: KAROLINE LEAVITT: The Biden campaign is trying to convince the American public not to believe their own eyes. We are simply posting these videos for the world to see and to come to their own conclusion on, which the American public has. GUTIERREZ:: The Trump campaign argues the Biden team is taking the former president's words out of context. DONALD TRUMP: We're going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line. Now, if I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath. GUTIERREZ: By claiming that comment referred to political violence instead of economic pain. JOE BIDEN: And he said if he loses, there's going to be a bloodbath. TRUMP: It's called the bloodbath hoax, taking my words completely out of context. GUTIERREZ: There's always been misinformation during campaigns, but this election cycle, cyber experts expect much more of it including A.I.-generated deep fakes. Current and former officials tell NBC News that the FBI and Department of Homeland Security have no firm plan to alert the public about deep fakes or other false information during the 2024 election, unless it's clearly coming from a foreign actor and poses a sufficiently grave threat.
