New York’s Times Square Taken Over By Jesus Christ Nativity!

Time for a GOOD story! With so much doom and gloom and evil in the world‚ I am so excited whenever I can bring you a story like this. The LIGHT and LIFE of Jesus Christ and the Nativity Scene has overtaken Times Square this week in a stunning display. You have to see this…. What an awe-inspiring sight it was to be right in the heart of Times Square in New York City during the special Christmas display and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful kick-off to the Christmas season to look up and witness scenes of the nativity‚… pic.twitter.com/B49PM3vo23 — Quentin L. Cook (@CookQuentinL) December 1‚ 2023 What an awe-inspiring sight it was to be right in the heart of Times Square in New York City during the special Christmas display and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful kick-off to the Christmas season to look up and witness scenes of the nativity‚ images of the Savior‚ displays of the giving machines‚ and the #LightTheWorld logo on the digital billboards in this iconic location. We are grateful for the many interfaith leaders and charities who are working with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help those in need. We want the world to know of the peace that comes from following Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Let us follow Him as we try to light the world and share the light of Christ in our own small ways this Christmas season. #LightTheWorld was featured on billboards for 30 minutes in #TimesSquare in New York City. The digital billboards featured stars‚ the #Nativity‚ the Light the World logo and #GivingMachines campaign launched earlier in the day.https://t.co/I0BMIlTal8 — LDS365 (@LDS365) November 30‚ 2023 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints takes over the iconic New York City Times Square to show scenes of Jesus Christ’s birth and the traditional nativity. https://t.co/mN913VJKOz — KSL (@KSLcom) December 2‚ 2023 Yes‚ the display was put up by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and yes I don’t agree with all of Mormon theology‚ but for right now anyone who puts Jesus Christ on display throughout all of Times Square is ok in my book for this event! I’m going to go with Luke 9:50 in this case: “For he that is not against us is for us.”  Check out this incredible‚ longer video: And this one here: Here are more details‚ from The Church News: In the flash of a second‚ just as the evening holiday crowds began to gather on Times Square on Monday‚ Nov. 27‚ the iconic digital billboards went dark. When they lit up again‚ they were filled with images of Jesus Christ and His birth and a global invitation for all to light the world: “This Christmas share His light by letting your light shine.” Then‚ front and center‚ on the top sign in the heart of the square‚ a huge star appeared. As the process unfolded‚ the crowds in the boisterous and bustling location quieted. In a place where many tune out the advertising‚ it was special to see people stop and take note‚ said Cameron Kelly. The message “had a lot of love in it. … To see depictions and the Nativity in the epicenter of the center of the universe felt amazing.” It is easy to get caught up in things that are trivial‚ he continued. “So to see something meaningful and eternal in this space … felt hopeful.” The Times Square Nativity display‚ which lasted 30 minutes‚ was part of the Light the World initiative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The digital billboards featured stars‚ the Nativity‚ the Light the World logo and the logos of many charitable organizations working with the Church on the campaign. The billboard takeover followed the global launch of the 2023 Light the World Giving Machines campaign earlier in the day. As the Nativity was reflected in Times Square‚ Nasario Martin‚ an evangelical Christian from Guatemala‚ could not believe his eyes. He took out his cellphone and started recording. “I have never seen Jesus Christ in such a place before‚” he said‚ referencing the power of the prominent message as the Christmas season begins. “There are no words‚” added Denika Torres. “It was magical.” Well done to NYC Times Square with the lovely Nativity Scene displayed on Billboards looks like the crowd enjoyed it as did I pic.twitter.com/zuZtiWd11g — Sonia Surija (@Sonia_Rose1) December 7‚ 2023

Senator John Fetterman Admits Democrats Are Wrong On Critical Issue

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) broke away from fellow Democrats and defended reasonable discussions to secure the country’s southern border. The Pennsylvania Democrat blamed members of his own party for failing to reach terms on a border security deal. “I hope Democrats can understand that it isn’t xenophobic to be concerned about the border‚” Fetterman said in an interview. “It’s a reasonable conversation‚ and Democrats should engage‚” he added. Somehow‚ Fetterman sounds like the most logical Democrat in Washington D.C. I have no idea how we got here‚ but Fetterman has somehow become the most sane national Democrat in the country almost overnight. https://t.co/IKL8ZZxvdQ — AG (@AGHamilton29) December 8‚ 2023 POLITICO reports: Fetterman‚ a progressive favorite‚ urged Democrats to acknowledge the large numbers of migrants streaming across the southern border. He cited the nearly 270‚000 border encounters that U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported in September. “Honestly‚ it’s astonishing. And this isn’t a Fox News kind of statistic. This is the government’s‚” he said. “You essentially have Pittsburgh showing up there at the border.” His remarks come as Democrats increasingly stiff-arm the border talks for skewing too far toward GOP demands — and they’re even more striking given his status as a longtime vocal advocate for immigrants. His wife‚ Gisele Fetterman‚ was a so-called “Dreamer” who came to the U.S. from Brazil when she was seven years old‚ a story he highlighted in a video during his 2022 Senate primary. (She became a citizen in 2009.) The senator’s comments also demonstrate the degree to which he has positioned himself as a staunch ally to Israel during its war in Gaza‚ an outlook that has deeply frustrated his progressive allies. Fetterman‚ whose office is adorned with the Israeli flag and a “We Stand With Ukraine” poster‚ said he is “appalled” that Congress is considering “f****** over” the two countries. This isn’t the first time Fetterman has suddenly spoken with common sense on critical issues facing the country. In September‚ Fetterman said the United States should take back Chinese-owned agricultural land. “I hope many of our colleagues agree‚ the Chinese government and other U.S. adversaries should own zero‚ zero agricultural land in our country‚ I believe that‚” Fetterman said at a Senate Agriculture Committee hearing. WATCH: FETTERMAN: "The Chinese government…should own ZERO agricultural land in our country…They're taking back our pandas! We should take back all of their farmland!" pic.twitter.com/OnF6JSNF7a — Townhall.com (@townhallcom) September 27‚ 2023 Also‚ Fetterman’s border comments aren’t his first detraction from congressional Democrats. Fetterman called for Democrat Senator Bob Menendez to be expelled after the House of Representatives expelled Rep. George Santos (R-NY). WATCH: Fetterman: "We have a colleague in the Senate that's actually done much more sinister kinds of things. He needs to go. If you are going to expel Santos‚ how can you allow Menendez to remain in the Senate? Menendez is really a Senator for Egypt‚ not New Jersey." pic.twitter.com/OdWTznfnmL — TheBlaze (@theblaze) December 1‚ 2023 ABC 27 News reports: Moments after nearly all Democrats and many Republicans voted to expel Rep. George Santos (R-New York) from Congress‚ Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) became among the first prominent Democrats to publicly call for the expulsion of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey)‚ who has pleaded not guilty to bribery and conspiracy charges. “He has to go‚” Fetterman‚ speaking Friday morning on ABC’s “The View‚” said of Menendez. “If you are going to expel Santos‚ how can you allow somebody like Menendez to remain in the Senate?” Fetterman called Menendez’s alleged actions “much more sinister and serious” than Santos’s. Fetterman went on to call Menendez “a senator for Egypt‚ not New Jersey.” Fetterman is one of more than 30 Senate Democrats who have called for Menendez to resign. He was also the first Senate Democrat to call for Menendez to step down‚ after the New Jersey Senator and his wife were indicted in September. In late September‚ the Congressman told reporters he would support a resolution to expel Menendez from the Senate.

CNN: In 'A Normal World' Hunter Charges Would Disprove Weaponization

New York Times correspondent and author Michael Bender joined Friday’s CNN This Morning to react to Hunter Biden’s latest indictment on tax evasion where he proceeded to memory holed the IRS whistleblowers who alleged he received preferential treatment in order to proclaim that in “a normal world” these latest charges would debunk the idea that the Justice Department has been weaponized. Host Poppy Harlow began with more of a statement or observation than a question‚ “Michael‚ this is a complete collision course between‚ you know‚ the political system and the legal system. What's fascinating is for both the president's son and for the former president‚ all at the same time.”     Bender concurred‚ but on the political ramifications‚ he accused Republicans of living in some sort of fantasy land‚ “normally the American people are less likely to penalize a candidate for his family's charges‚ and you would think‚ in‚ maybe‚ a normal world‚ all these charges against Hunter Biden might take some steam out of the Republican argument that Joe Biden has weaponized the Justice Department against his -- against his political enemies but‚ you know‚ the keyword there‚ in a normal time.” Naturally‚ Bender forgot to mention not only the whistleblowers‚ but legal analyst Elie Honig’s earlier allusion to the plea deal‚ that only involved misdemeanors‚ fell apart because‚ for him‚ the real story is Donald Trump‚ “You've got to keep in mind that weaponizing the justice system isn't just an accusation right now from President Trump‚ it's also a campaign promise for a second term.” Political analyst Natasha Alford also hoped that voters just forget about the whistleblowers‚ “Yeah‚ and just to jump in‚ you know‚ this question of‚ does the president's son receive preferential treatment? The majority of Americans back in June said yes. But again‚ it fell along partisan lines. So‚ this can disrupt narratives but at the same time‚ I think to your point‚ most people are not going to hold Joe Biden accountable for this.” Polling data may have been split along partisan lines‚ but the whistleblowers were not. Here is a transcript for the December 8 show: CNN This Morning 12/8/2023 6:07 AM ET POPPY HARLOW: Michael‚ this is a complete collision course between‚ you know‚ the political system and the legal system. What's fascinating is for both the president's son and for the former president‚ all at the same time.  MICHAEL BENDER: Yeah‚ I can't recall a time where the legal and political systems have been on this kind of crash course. I think politically‚ normally the American people are less likely to penalize a candidate for his family's charges‚ and you would think‚ in‚ maybe‚ a normal world‚ all these charges against Hunter Biden might take some steam out of the Republican argument that Joe Biden has weaponized the Justice Department against his -- against his political enemies but‚ you know‚ the keyword there‚ in a normal time. You've got to keep in mind that weaponizing the justice system isn't just an accusation right now from President Trump‚ it's also a campaign promise for a second term.  NATASHA ALFORD: Yeah‚ and just to jump in‚ you know‚ this question of‚ does the president's son receive preferential treatment? The majority of Americans back in June said yes. But again‚ it fell along partisan lines. So‚ this can disrupt narratives but at the same time‚ I think to your point‚ most people are not going to hold Joe Biden accountable for this.

'Morning Joe' Crew Whines Hunter Biden Indictment Makes 'False Equivalency'

'Morning Joe' Crew Whines Hunter Biden Indictment Makes 'False Equivalency'

While ABC‚ CBS‚ and NBC dryly and seriously addressed the new Hunter Biden indictment on tax charges in California‚ MSNBC’s Morning Joe didn't discuss the new Hunter indictment until a half-hour had elapsed‚ and then they implied this shouldn’t have happened. Co-host Willie Geist walked legal analyst Lisa Rubin through all the reasons not to prosecute. Hunter repaid the tax debt‚ “maybe not by him specifically‚ but they were repaid.” And not in a timely manner‚ Rubin added‚ but “Hunter’s tax liability has been cleared." Rubin then explained that back when Hunter’s plea deal collapsed‚ she told the MSNBC anchor that other people would have never been prosecuted for this‚ so the fact that these charges are added “shows me that there is a two-tiered system of justice‚ it just doesn’t go the way Donald Trump thinks it does."   Then Geist said to Rubin: “Republicans in the House want to make this about Joe Biden. My question legally to you is‚ is there anything in this filing‚ anything in these charges that show a connection between hunter Biden and president Joe Biden?” She said she didn’t know the “nitty gritty” of the indictment yet‚ but “as far as I understand it‚ no. The question also is‚ could the president be asked to testify here? I don't think he could be compelled to testify in this trial.” Geist turned to Jonathan Lemire for support: “There will be a conflation by Republicans. See‚ Hunter Biden committed crimes. Joe Biden‚ “the Biden crime family‚' et cetera‚ et cetera‚ et cetera. But again‚ there has not been -- that link has not been drawn yet." Lemire agreed: No‚ it hasn't. There's yet to be any evidence that President Biden had anything to do with the criminal charges his son now faces." On MSNBC‚ they quickly turned to the tired false line that there's no connection between Hunter's illegal activities and his dad. Lisa Rubin's been too busy obsessing over Trump trials to really have an opinion‚ but Willie Geist and Jon Lemire tap-danced on the Biden denial line. pic.twitter.com/AY9F7xWkjT — Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) December 8‚ 2023 They're so energetically doing Democrat Talk that they can't acknowledge that all of Hunter's millions came from selling access to his father. Joe Biden obviously knew his son was selling access. He cooperated with it‚ and met with his clients. next? Lemire then made a speech that this indictment is "not a coincidence." (Like Biden's Justice Department is working with Republicans?) LEMIRE: What is happening next week? House Republicans are moving forward with the impeachment inquiry. They're gonna get that formal vote. We heard from Speaker Johnson yesterday. Believing it will pass‚ that he has enough votes to bring it forward. Now this doesn't necessarily mean impeachment but it could certainly head that way. And this is all about establishing an equivalency. A false equivalency between what people by the last name of Trump have done and what people with the last name of Biden have done. Hunter Biden himself is not running for office. Hunter Biden himself has never held a government position. There's yet to be any evidence that President Biden has done any wrongdoing. Donald Trump‚ of course‚ is running for office and has 91 counts and four indictments facing him. But Willie‚ this is their play here. They’re trying to muddy the waters. It’s very clear that Trump is trying allege mis-doings by Hunter Biden‚ and also to not be the only president impeached running for office next year. Mika Brzezinski wrapped up by repeating the anti-GOP line: "They keep trying. Even when there is absolutely no -- there is no parallel at all. It's the president's son‚ versus many crimes by a former president alleged‚ and some he completely admits to out in the open."

Prominent rabbi resigns Harvard board position‚ diagnoses the rot infecting universities: 'Endemic and evil'

David Wolpe‚ a prominent American rabbi‚ announced Thursday that he had resigned his position in Harvard University's Anti-Semitism Advisory Group. In late October‚ Harvard President Claudine Gay announced the formation of the committee in response to growing outrage over blatant anti-Semitism coming from Harvard students. Wolpe‚ a visiting scholar at the Harvard Divinity School who was once named America's most influential rabbi‚ was named to the committee along with other influential Jewish leaders. But after Gay's disastrous testimony before Congress on Tuesday‚ Wolpe resigned his position on the committee."Without rehashing all of the obvious reasons that have been endlessly adumbrated online‚ and with great respect for the members of the committee‚ the short explanation is that both events on campus and the painfully inadequate testimony reinforced the idea that I cannot make the sort of difference I had hoped‚" Wolpe said. — (@) Wolpe said he believes Gay is a "kind and thoughtful person" and that Harvard is a "repository of extraordinary minds and important research‚" but revealed he believes the rot infecting Harvard — and American universities overall — runs too deep.He explained what he means:The system at Harvard along with the ideology that grips far too many of the students and faculty‚ the ideology that works only along axes of oppression and places Jews as oppressors and therefore intrinsically evil‚ is itself evil. Ignoring Jewish suffering is evil. Belittling or denying the Jewish experience‚ including unspeakable atrocities‚ is a vast and continuing catastrophe. Denying Israel the self-determination as a Jewish nation accorded unthinkingly to others is endemic‚ and evil. The solution‚ according to Wolpe‚ isn't a committee because the problem isn't a single institution."This is the task of educating a generation‚ and also a vast unlearning‚" he prescribed. As pressure mounts on Gay to tender her resignation‚ the university president issued an apology for not explicity condemning anti-Jewish hate on Harvard's campus as a violation of the university's policies."I am sorry. Words matter‚" she told the Harvard Crimson. "When words amplify distress and pain‚ I don’t know how you could feel anything but regret."Reacting to the viral exchange between herself and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.)‚ Gay claimed she got "caught up" in a "combative exchange about policies and procedures.""What I should have had the presence of mind to do in that moment was return to my guiding truth‚ which is that calls for violence against our Jewish community — threats to our Jewish students — have no place at Harvard‚ and will never go unchallenged‚" she said.Like Blaze News? Couple returns home to find armed intruder inside. But homeowner also has a gun — and exercises deadly force with it.

A couple returned to their Texas home Wednesday to find an armed intruder inside — but the homeowner also had a gun and fatally shot the intruder. What are the details? Sgt. Jason Brown with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told KRPC-TV deputies responded to a shooting that occurred around 5 p.m. in the 19200 block of Westfield Place in north Harris County. The man who was shot was taken to a hospital‚ where he was pronounced dead‚ the station said. “We’re not sure exactly what the circumstances are that led to him being inside ..." Brown told KPRC. "He possibly entered through an unlocked front door‚ but as of right now the homeowners state that they don’t know who he is or why he would have been in there." Intruder had a gun — and apparently warrants Brown added to the station that the fatally shot man was armed with a handgun. KPRC said deputies were able to determine from the man's ID that he had several warrants out of Harris County‚ but authorities aren't revealing what those charges are until they officially confirm the man's identity. The homeowner who shot the man isn't expected to face any charges‚ Brown told the station‚ adding that once the investigation is complete‚ the case will be turned over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. How are folks reacting? Most of the individuals commenting underneath the KPRC story on the shooting don't appear upset in the least. Here's a sampling: "Glad to see that there is another case of a good guy with a gun taking out a bad guy with a gun‚" one commenter wrote. "Being a criminal is a dangerous 'job.' Glad this one ended well‚" another commenter said. "Great‚" another commenter remarked. "That needs to happen to all burglars and home invaders. Only sure way to stop the crime. The 'justice' system sure won’t do anything to stop crime." "He shoots! He scores!" another commenter quipped."Good job citizen!" another commenter declared. Like Blaze News? Biden administration has built zero EV chargers since 2021 despite getting $7.5 billion from Congress to do so

The Biden administration has yet to power on a single electric vehicle charger despite receiving $7.5 billion in 2021 from Congress to build the stations across the country.A 2021 bipartisan infrastructure package included the massive sum to be spent directly on electric vehicle chargers‚ with a stated goal of 500‚000 chargers in the United States by 2030. According to Politico‚ approximately $2 billion has already been sent to different states‚ but less than half have started taking bids from contractors‚ meaning construction is still in the distant future.Simply put‚ not a single charger has come online as a result of the gigantic government spending bill.Figures on how many chargers currently exist and how many are needed vary depending on the source and which climate pledge is being adhered to.In February 2023‚ it was estimated that the current number of chargers was just one-tenth of the national goal‚ at around 50‚000. However‚ the Energy Department lists over 70‚000 charging stations‚ with over 180‚000 chargers.Politico cited a National Renewable Energy Laboratory study that said 1.2 million public chargers‚ including 182‚000 fast chargers‚ will be needed by 2030. There are currently an estimated 41‚000 fast chargers.Bloomberg stated however that California would need more than 1‚000‚000 charging stations of its own to be able to supply the 5 million emissions-free vehicles it hopes to put on the road by 2030.According to the Zero Emission Transportation Association‚ $30 billion will be needed in the next 10 years to provide home charging rebates and grants to state‚ local‚ and tribal governments. This is the amount needed for the ever-pressed goal of 100% of cars sold being electric by 2030‚ as well as a zero-emissions pledge by 2050‚ which many European car manufacturers have agreed to.The Biden administration reportedly believes it is on pace‚ however‚ with Gabe Klein‚ executive director of the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation‚ reportedly stating that the rollout of chargers will "take a little bit of time.""But boy‚ when you’re done‚ it’s going to completely change the game‚" he claimed. "You have to go slow to go fast‚" he added.Requirements for the charging network include building fast chargers along interstate highways and at least every 50 miles on major routes. They also must be operational at least 97% of the time and offer credit card payments.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox.
