Sam Altman’s Eye-Scanning Empire Touches Down in London

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. A controversial digital identity venture backed by OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman is preparing to establish a physical presence in the United Kingdom, starting with London on June 12, 2025. Worldcoin, the biometric-based project that was already launched in the US, is now setting its sights on a nationwide rollout across the UK. The project introduces Orbs; metallic devices designed to scan an individual’s iris to generate a unique digital ID, known as a World ID. These biometric credentials are marketed as a way to verify humanness in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. Worldcoin recently introduced an upgraded system called World ID 2.0, expanding beyond iris scans to include selfie-based verification and other digital identity tools. The project’s UK debut begins with installations in London, then expands to Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast, and Glasgow. Initial placements will target high-footfall areas like shopping centers and retail districts. The company recently moved to strengthen its digital ID infrastructure through the acquisition of Ottr Wallet, signaling its push toward deeper integration. Simultaneously, Worldcoin is aligning itself with major financial service providers including Stripe and Visa, laying the groundwork for embedding biometric identity into everyday services such as transit, payments, and emergency systems. Those who choose to undergo the biometric scan receive a cryptocurrency token called Worldcoin (WLD) in return. That token, which has seen sharp fluctuations, notably jumped by over 28 percent in a single week during the last quarter of 2024. The initiative arrives at a moment of growing concern over the role of biometrics in public life. As the line between surveillance and convenience blurs, Worldcoin’s expansion is likely to reignite debates about the commodification of identity, the ethics of incentivized data collection, and the long-term consequences of embedding biometric infrastructure into public and private sectors. PBS's Most Biased Reporter Tries to Transform Trump Into an Anti-Semite

PBS News Hour’s most biased reporter, White House correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez, filed a wide-ranging story Monday about some of the more controversial figures in the orbit of Donald Trump’s administration, yet also spread the ridiculous notion that Trump himself is an anti-Semite (if so, he’s doing a very bad job of it). Her sole guest was Jacob Ware, described by Barron-Lopez as a “research fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations studying domestic terrorism and counterterrorism.” Left out: Ware is the co-author of God, Guns, and Sedition – Far Right Terrorism in America, which radical professor (and PBS favorite) Cynthia Miller-Idriss praised in a blurb as “A vital addition to the global understanding of supremacist terror and….indispensable reading for anyone seeking to understand what is demonstrably the most pressing threat to democracy and social cohesion.” Not exactly a balanced perspective, then. Even though Trump has come down hard on elite colleges for their tolerance of anti-Semitism against Jewish students on campus, Barron-Lopez saw every controversial Trump move through an anti-Semitic prism, running down an old list. LAURA BARRON-LOPEZ: The president has also embraced figures and symbols that perpetuate antisemitism in some cases, including he posted a meme on social media recently that features Pepe the Frog, a symbol of white supremacist movements. And the president previously dined with white supremacist Nick Fuentes. And his Bedminster club hosted Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, who prosecutors called a Nazi sympathizer and who has a history of antisemitic rants. The president says that his attacks on universities, that his restrictions that he's placing on universities like Harvard are in the name of combating antisemitism. But does this track record show the opposite? Her guest indulged in the lie that won’t die regarding Trump and the march in Charlottesville. JACOB WARE: Well, actually, Laura, this is something that does go back to the first administration, the place where we saw this rapprochement between Trump and the violent far-right. The first time we saw that was at Charlottesville, where a white supremacist attack happened on behalf of an overtly neo-Nazi cause with people who were there as overt neo-Nazis. And he, of course, said there were very fine people on both sides. Regarding Charlotteville, Trump went on to say that “I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.” Of course, Barron-Lopez didn’t challenge Ware on his mischaracterization of Trump’s words, and he went on. WARE: Years later, he told the Proud Boys during a presidential debate to stand back and stand by. So President Trump has repeatedly, during his time in office, appealed to not just people who have what you might call far-right ideology or views, but even people who are willing to act out in violence on behalf of those views. What is less clear to me is whether President Trump shares these memes, these ideas deliberately, whether it's a dog whistle, whether it's unknown. But either way, it's clearly a message being sent to the far right, whether overt or covert, that they have a defender in the White House. This segment has been brought to you in part by Raymond James. A transcript is available, click “Expand.” PBS News Hour 6/9/25 7:33:37 p.m. (ET) Laura Barron-Lopez: The president has also embraced figures and symbols that perpetuate antisemitism in some cases, including he posted a meme on social media recently that features Pepe the Frog, a symbol of white supremacist movements. Kimmel Claims 'Mentally Ill' Trump 'Wants There To Be a War' in LA

ABC’s Los Angeles-based Jimmy Kimmel got his first chance to respond to the riots in his city and President Trump’s response to them on his Tuesday show. Kimmel insisted that there is nothing to see and any violence is the “mentally ill” Trump’s fault because he “wants there to be a war” and desires to create “protest porn” for Fox News. Kimmel sarcastically began, “I just want to say thank god for President Trump and the heroes at ICE for protecting us from these bloodthirsty fruit stand vendors spreading their dangerous pineapple chunks and mangos with a squirt of lime all over the city. We are so grateful for what you have done.”     Turning serious, Kimmel denounced the idea that immigration law might be enforced, “I'm very angry, I have to say. I cannot believe what's going on. I knew it was going to be bad. I did not know it was going to be this bad. People who have lived here their whole lives, people who have been in this city longer than I have, the vast majority of whom have never done anything wrong, are being abducted, which is the correct word to use, by agents in masks, hiding their identities, grabbing people off the street and at work. Sending people to detention centers.” Kimmel continued: And to protest that, which is not only our right as Americans, it's our responsibility. Los Angelenos have been gathering to demonstrate and, with very few exceptions, peacefully demonstrate to voice their opposition to this disgusting and unnecessary abuse of power instigated by our mentally ill president, who is dead set on exacerbating this. Who actually wants conflict. Who is intentionally inflaming and lying to make it seem like there's a war going on. He wants there to be a war going on here. And he doesn't care who gets hurt in it. There's no riot outside. We have more so-called "unrest" here when one of our teams wins a championship. But that's not what you're seeing on TV. Someone sets a fire in a garbage can, 12 camera crews go running toward it.   Later, Kimmel continued to declare that everything is Trump’s fault, “Donald Trump created this problem. He is putting the police and the military in danger. He is the one deporting children and their parents without any process. He's the one who has ICE agents outside immigration offices, arresting the people who showed up to do the right thing and check in with the immigration office. This is not a problem we had. This is a problem he made. And is intentionally doing everything he can to make it worse. He is purposefully pitting Americans against each other to create protest porn for Fox News because that's what excites him. He knows that the good people are going to stand up for their neighbors, and he's exploiting that.”     He then appealed to the National Guard to find ways to defy Trump, “And to those of you in the National Guard who have been thrust into this—when Donald Trump orders you to do something you know is immoral, try to get your dad's podiatrist to write a note to say you have bone spurs. That resonates with him.” Ultimately, Kimmel suggested the whole thing was a way for Trump to distract people from his feud with Elon Musk and the suggestion he is in the Epstein Files, “So, what did he do? He manufactured a crisis. He got back to what got him here in the first place. Good old xenophobia. I don't know what happened to the state's rights he thinks so much of when it suits him, but I know I speak for a lot of us here when I say leave us alone here. We don't need you. We don't need your help. We didn't ask for your help. We don't want your help. I thought the idea was to make America great. This is not great. Try to act like a president for once.” Of course, there is no right for a state to claim immigration law has no effect within its borders.  Here is a transcript for the June 10 show: ABC Jimmy Kimmel Live 6/10/2025 11:35 PM ET JIMMY KIMMEL: I just want to say thank god for President Trump and the heroes at ICE for protecting us from these bloodthirsty fruit stand vendors spreading their dangerous pineapple chunks and mangos with a squirt of lime all over the city. Now that we’re in the middle of a non-emergency, send in the National Guard. … Donald Trump created this problem. UFC fighter vows never to fight in 's***hole' Mexico again

UFC middleweight Joe Pyfer vowed he would never fight in Mexico again. Then, after apparent backlash over the comments, Pyfer doubled down and said he will "stand firm" and never fight there again.Pyfer, who was born in Vineland, New Jersey, was scheduled to fight veteran fighter Kelvin Gastelum in Mexico City on March 29th. However, Pyfer's experience preparing for the fight in Mexico led to him referring to the country as a "s***hole" that is rife with corruption.'That's why I said Mexico is a s***hole and I'll never go back.'Hours before "UFC on ESPN: Moreno vs. Erceg" in March, Pyfer revealed he became "super sick" and pulled out of the event, per MMA Junkie. The fight was rescheduled for UFC 316 last Saturday. Pyfer explained exactly what occurred in Mexico during a June 4 press conference."Fourteen out of the 15 meals, I cooked. I didn't cook on the last day, and I got super sick and I was sick for weeks," Pyfer told reporters. The fighter said that after losing 14 pounds in just seven hours and sleeping only one hour, he was very disheartened to see fans threaten and taunt him over his decision to pull out of the fight."That's why I said Mexico is a s***hole and I'll never go back. I won't fight there, but the people were nice. I have no problem with the people. It's just fighting there as a professional athlete makes no f**king sense to me. That's just my personal opinion."RELATED: VIDEO: Blaze News reporter on scene as tensions escalate in Los Angeles for 4th night Pyfer said that while in Mexico, his coaches and teammates were stopped by the police, who tried to shake them down "for cash that they didn't have."Pyfer rhetorically asked why fans would take issue with his comments."Why anybody would dispute that it's not the best country; all we have to do is look at how many people have crossed the border in who knows how many f**king years, like, come on man. Don't act like it's such a great place. It's ran by gangs ... and law enforcement's paid off by gangs. It's not that great of a place."Following a unanimous decision win over Gastelum at UFC 316 — in New Jersey — Pyfer slightly walked back his comments in a post-fight press conference."Ultimately, things did not go well, PR-wise, for me in Mexico," Pyfer admitted. The 28-year-old again stated that his remarks were never a commentary on Mexican culture or people, but reiterated his stance about fighting in the country."I should've rephrased it a lot kinder and I didn't, so it is what it is. But I do stand firm that I will never fight there again. It's too big of a risk for a bitch like me," Pyfer added.RELATED: US Supreme Court unanimously shoots down Mexico in lawsuit alleging gun smuggling to cartels Featherweight and former UFC fighter T.J. Laramie told Blaze News that preparing for fights in foreign countries can be painstaking, particularly regarding the available amenities."Just preparing for the amenities they may or may not have for the weight cut is the most crucial," Laramie said. "Some of these places have nothing."Laramie explained that fighters even need to be aware of cultural differences in some countries. While in Japan for a fight, Laramie said he was kicked out of a sauna simply for having tattoos. UFC's parent company, TKO Group Holdings, did not respond to a request for comment regarding whether or not the company will change protocols (for safety or otherwise) with fighters while in Mexico or if it plans to host events there again.Like Blaze News? Auto industry makes a ‘big U-turn’ and cuts the cord on electric vehicles

Electric vehicles were the transportation of the future, until they weren’t.General Motors has given up on its plan to put $300 million toward electric vehicle motor production and instead is nearly tripling that by putting $888 million into the latest V-8 engines — which not too long ago BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere believed were a thing of the past.“The story is that GM is now investing in V-8 engines as it backpedals on EVs,” Burguiere tells journalist and automotive expert Lauren Fix. “Now, I bought a car that was supposed to be the last V-8 in this line from GM, thinking to myself, ‘Oh, well I’m going to have the last one, and it would be great to have that.’”“She did what I call the big U-turn,” Fix says of GM’s CEO, Mary Barra. “She was in some Wall Street Journal conference the other day saying, ‘Oh, electric cars are the future. I still believe in them 100%.’”“But on the other side, she put $888 million into a plant here in Buffalo, New York — the Tonawanda Engine facility, which is one of the original engine plants — and a total of $1.4 million into the Flint Engine plant to build V-8s, which they’re having issues with,” Fix explains.“So, I think they need to figure out their V-8s and maybe reduce their electric vehicle footprint because while they’re continuing four more products coming out — as I’ve been saying ... this is a disaster,” she continues.“I’ve been seeing — and tell me if this is just what I’m seeing on the internet, if this is real — I’m seeing cars with MSRPs of $60,000 being offered at lots, brand new, for $35,000 and $40,000 because they cannot get rid of them,” Stu says.“That is 100% correct,” Fix says.Want more from Stu?To enjoy more of Stu's lethal wit, wisdom, and mockery, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

This PC manufacturer just accidentally leaked the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 specs

Several of the key Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 specs appear to have just been leaked on a PC and laptop manufacturer’s storefront, adding more evidence to the pile about the rumored new gaming GPU. Nvidia hasn’t even officially announced the RTX 5050, but this is one of a number of leaks suggesting that its release is imminent. This latest specs leak concerns the laptop chip, rather than the rumored desktop Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 version, but if it’s true, it looks as though both the desktop and laptop versions of the RTX 5050 will share the same core specs. This latest rumor about the unannounced Nvidia GPU not only appears to reveal the number of CUDA cores and the memory configuration, but also specifically states the boost and base clock speeds of the RTX 5050. Best Resident Evil Village settings for PC and Steam Deck

What are the best Resident Evil Village settings for PC and Steam Deck? Taking quite the detour from the disturbing events that took place in the Baker residence, Resident Evil Village brings new horrors to the series, but isn't a nightmare to run on PC or Steam Deck thanks to detailed settings options. Resident Evil Village doesn't demand the best graphics card, asking for an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560 at minimum tier. The Resident Evil Village system requirements are generally quite low, but that doesn't mean there isn't potential to push Village to look stunning when running on high-end gaming PCs.
