June 14th: Clash of the America Lovers and America Haters

While President Trump wants to kick off our nation's 250th birthday, leftist rabble-rousers want to elevate the temperature by protesting the kicking out of illegal aliens.

Violence Spreads To Smaller Cities Such As Spokane As Authorities Brace For Unrest In 1,800 U.S. Communities On Saturday

If you think that it is just a coincidence that highly volatile protests have suddenly been organized all over the nation, you are being quite naive.  As I pointed out the other day, large organizations with plenty of money are involved in this effort.  President Trump was able to get the violence in Los Angeles under …

Kashus Culpepper And Sierra Ferrell Team Up For Willie Nelson-Inspired Heartbreaker, “Broken Wing Bird”

The duo we absolutely needed. Today, Kashus Culpepper and Sierra Ferrell teamed up for a gorgeous new duet called “Broken Wing Bird,” which is just a powerhouse team and they certainly show off their impressive vocals, which is what you hope for when two talented artists jump on a song together. Culpepper is an Alabama native who made a splash last year when he released “After Me?,” which is currently playing on Americana radio. The 27-year-old Navy veteran has already opened for people like Charles Wesley Godwin (what other kind of endorsement could you need?), and he has an incredibly unique, gritty and powerful voice that stops you in your tracks no matter what he’s singing. He has put out consistently good music, and this new single comes out almost a year to the day that he put out his debut single, so it marks a special time in his career after recently making his Nissan Stadium debut at CMA Fest, his Grand Ole Oprey debut earlier this week, in addition to making his national TV debut on CBS Saturday Morning tomorrow. It’s so exciting to see artists with a much more traditional sound getting mainstream recognition, and I think Culpepper is at the very beginning of what promises to be a very long and successful career. “Broken Wing Bird” was written by Culpepper along with producer Brian Elmquist and recorded in Muscle Shoals, and he says he was inspired by the classic country he grew up on, so the goal was to replicate that feeling you get on something like an old Willie Nelson song… that’s probably why I like this one so much. He adds that having Sierra as his duet partner just takes it to the next level, and I couldn’t agree more. She elevates everything: “I’ve always loved the sound of classic country. It brings me peace whenever I hear it. I wanted to write a song that replicated that feeling. And the same feelings I got when I would listen to all those old Willie Nelson songs. Something about those tunes made me feel like I was on a back porch late afternoon drinking sweet tea or something. And having Sierra Ferrell on this song makes it even better for me.” The lyrics find them lamenting the inevitable end of a relationship, as he recalls a girl he once loved who had a “broken wing,” which held her back from “reaching the sky”: “Broken wing bird Hanging off of my window sill Gonna love you until You fly away The song that I heard Reminds me of a girl I know Before she crashed into the ground below And stopped reaching for the sky” It’s really a beautiful way to say that, and like I said, these two as a duo make so much sene, and I’m always going to be partial to a classic country heartbreaker like this. For me, these kinds of songs are what make country music so special, and I couldn’t be happier seeing Sierra and Kashus in particular doing it justice like this. Do yourself a favor and check it out: “Broken Wing Bird” The post Kashus Culpepper And Sierra Ferrell Team Up For Willie Nelson-Inspired Heartbreaker, “Broken Wing Bird” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Parker McCollum Releases New Single “Killin’ Me,” Unveils Tracklist For Forthcoming Record

Unveiling the tracklist. Parker McCollum is giving fans some more details about his forthcoming album and gifting them with a new single. I mean, what a way to start your Friday! This morning, the Gold Chain Cowboy revealed the 14-song tracklist for his upcoming record, PARKER MCCOLLUM, which is slated for June 27th. PARKER MCCOLLUM will be his third studio album on a major label, however, Parker has told fans that the sound of this record would be more in line with the sound of his debut indie album, The Limestone Kid.  Studio tomorrow. Crazy to be recording my 5th studio album. I know for 100% fact that these songs and this record is best I’ve put together since the kid. Took me a long time to get back to this place as a songwriter. Feels good to be happy about my songs again. — Parker McCollum (@ParkerMcCollum) March 20, 2024 Parker says it’s “the best thing I’ve ever done,” and he noted how good it felt to get back to “writing and recording songs like I always wanted to”: “It is the best thing I’ve ever done. This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic, Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to.” In the singles that McCollum has released thus far, like “What Kinda Man,” “Big Sky,” and “I Hope That I’m Enough,” these statements have rung true. McCollum has shown fans authentic songwriting and a sound that reverts to his Texas roots. This trend continues with his latest single, “Killin’ Me.” “Killin’ Me” has a rough-around-the-edges composition that almost simulates the feeling of being at a live show. McCollum’s silky smooth drawl coats the listeners’ ears as he sings about a captivating woman. McCollum appears to have spotted a woman while he’s out and about, and begins fantasizing about how she’s everything he’s been looking for, moments before an interaction. Everything this woman does captivates him, and he is weak toward all of her actions. “You turn every head and stop a room on a dime And when you look at me, I know you know I’m dying inside You’re everything I want You’re the last thing in this world that I need Yeah, every move you make is killing me…” Even though it’s a love song, it has a gritty feel that gives off a cowboy-like love vibe—many women’s fantasy. In addition to releasing “Killin’ Me,” McCollum also shared the tracklist with fans. Given the singles McCollum has released thus far, the remaining ten songs that fans have yet to hear are expected to be heaters. On the tracklist, McCollum also shares that he has a song featuring Cody Johnson, which I was very excited to see. Sadly for fans, the unreleased favorite “Big Ol’ Fany House” did not make the cut, like McCollum shared during a Q&A session. “Oh yeah, no. ‘Big Ol Fancy House’ isn’t on the record.”  @chacepence Like stab in the heart… #fyp #parkermccollum #goldchaincowboy #limestonekid #parkermccollumtiktok #fypシ @parkermccollum ♬ original sound – ʚĭɞ Fans were heartbroken to hear this, given that he has been playing it on the road. But given that he smirked after saying it, some thought maybe he was pulling his fans’ leg. So while that won’t make the record, it appears a cover of the Chris Knight classic, “Enough Rope” will be on the album. Parker has been a longtime fan of Chris Knight (who isn’t?) so it’s pretty cool to see him honor a songwriting hero. So without further ado, check out the PARKER MCCOLLUM tracklist.
