France sends military ships – offers Denmark help against the US

Foreign Affairs. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot visits Greenland's capital Nuuk and strongly criticizes US talk of taking over the island. At the same time, he offers Denmark French help against the superpower.

– My message is clear: Greenland and Denmark do not stand alone. Europe and France stand by your side, says Barrot.

At the same time, a French warship was in Nuuk, which Barrot boarded.

Trump has on several occasions expressed interest in taking over the island and has not ruled out the possibility of military action. The Nordic neighbors have reacted with restraint, but France has been all the more clear in its condemnations.
