A 39-year-old British man has been arrested and charged after being accused of attempting to stage a fake wedding with a 9-year-old girl at Disneyland's Paris location in France.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) tried to trash First Lady Melania Trump’s “Einstein visa” — without realizing the New York Times disproved her argument seven years ago. Melania received an EB-1 visa, or “Einstein visa,” in 2001, when she was a model. The visa is meant for immigrants “with extraordinary ability.” “You’re supposed to have some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize or a Pulitzer, being an Olympic medalist or having sustained other extraordinary abilities and success in sciences, art, education, business, or athletics,” Crockett said. “Last time I checked, the first lady had none of those accolades under her belt.” “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathing here,” Crockett added. Crockett accused Republicans of hypocrisy, as the federal government is reevaluating visa programs. “Since we’re talking about integrity, I’m confused as to why my Republican colleagues aren’t talking about the lack of integrity when it comes to the president’s family’s visas,” Crockett said. But Crockett ignored a New York Times article debunking doubts about Melania justifying the visa. “Petitioners for the EB-1, which was created as part of the Immigration Act of 1990, face a two-part test,” the Times wrote in 2018. “The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services first must determine whether a candidate has presented evidence to satisfy three out of 10 criteria, such as publishing material in professional publications or other major media, appearing in artistic exhibitions or commanding a high salary.” Melania — who had featured in British GQ and Sports Illustrated, among other magazines — satisfied that requirement. “Once those are met, the decision comes down to a vague and undefined ‘final merits determination’ by the immigration agency,” the Times continued. Although they admitted the approval process is inconsistent, the Times’ sources agreed Melania deserved the visa. “The notion that you somehow have to be a genius or Einstein is utter fiction,” Chris Wright, a lawyer based in Los Angeles, told the Times. “We have succeeded with models no more accomplished than Melania Trump.” Even Albert Einstein might have been declined a visa. In one experiment, immigration lawyers examined some of Einstein’s early work — without knowing it was his — and concluded “it would be very challenging” for him to get an EB-1, the Times reported. Still, the seven-year-old fact check did not stop Crockett from using Melania to criticize Republicans. “Nevertheless, what Republicans are doing with this reconciliation process, the travel bans and revoking visas, jeopardizes our national security,” Crockett said.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt jabbed at members of the press corps during a Thursday briefing as she touted the success of Operation Midnight Hammer. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Thursday proclaimed victory over the United States. “My congratulations on our dear Iran’s victory over the US regime,” Khamenei posted. “The US regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war in an effort to save that regime but achieved nothing.” Khamenei entered into a ceasefire with Israel brokered by Trump after 12 days of conflict and the Iranian regime suffering blows to its nuclear program and military infrastructure. In another tweet, Khamenei claimed that “the Islamic Republic delivered a heavy slap to the U.S.’s face,” a reference to Iran’s missile strike on the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council falsely claimed that its attack “destroyed the U.S. air base in Al-Udeid, Qatar.” The attack involved the launch of 19 missiles, 18 of which were reportedly intercepted. The one missile that landed caused no casualties and resulted in only minimal damage. HAMAS IS PREPARING ATTACKS ON AMERICAN CONTRACTORS HELPING DISTRIBUTE AID IN GAZA Trump said Iran had provided advance warning to his administration, allowing U.S. personnel to shelter or evacuate in the strike, which has been regarded as a coordinated attack for the regime to save face. “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Monday. Throughout Israel’s entire 12-day campaign against Iran, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the IDF removed the threat of a significant number of Iranian ballistic missiles, and helped severely harm Iran’s nuclear program. The IDF eliminated much of Iran’s senior military command and several leading nuclear scientists, destroyed the enrichment facility in Natanz, the uranium conversion plant in Isfahan, and the heavy water installation in Arak, according to Netanyahu. Other laboratories, factories, ballistic missile production facilities, and regime targets were also struck. TRUMP HAS BEEN CLEAR FOR 14 YEARS THAT IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON Khamenei addressed Trump’s calls to surrender again in Thursday’s tweet storm, posting: “The US President stated, ‘Iran must surrender.’ Needless to say, this statement is too big to come out of the US president’s mouth.” Following the ceasefire, Iranian authorities have begun to crack down internally on its citizens with mass arrests, executions, and military deployments, despite no significant protests taking place during the 12 days the regime was weakened. The security crackdowns are reportedly primarily focused on the Kurdish areas where wide-scale protests have broken out in the past. Over 705 people have been arrested since the start of the war, according to Iranian rights group HRNA, with many of them being accused of spying for Israel.
