Country Fans Are Already Going Wild For This Braxton Keith Unreleased Song
The future of country music is alive and well, thanks to traditional revivalists like Zach Top, Jake Worthington, and the Texas native Braxton Keith. We at Whiskey Riff often rave about all three of these men and admire the work they are doing to bring back the sound of ’90s country.
While all of these guys are crushing the game, we are here today to talk about what Braxton Keith has on the horizon and how he’s a newcomer that you need to be tuned into. Braxton Keith has been a music-making machine this calendar year, gifting fans with numerous singles like “Wind Blows,” “Baby You Do,” “Bye In Goodbye,” and his collaboration with fellow Texas honky tonker Randall King for “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk.”
Keith has already gifted fans with two additional songs this fall, the honky tonk heartbreaker “Prescription” and a stellar cover of George Strait’s “The Chair.”
And before some of you George Strait enthusiasts start chiming in that no one can recreate the magic of George Strait, I’d encourage you to give Keith’s version of “The Chair” a listen. While it has some differences, it’s one hell of a rendition, and I am sure George himself would be impressed.

And even though Braxton Keith has been going above and beyond, gifting fans with new music, he’s now slowing down. Recently, Keith has been performing a new tune while out on the road, and country fans believe this ditty is going to be Braxton Keith’s next big hit following his viral sensation “Cozy.”
“Just might be his best song this year.”
“Classic country is coming back!”
“Dam sounds so good, sounds like an old western and swing song from the 50’s, love it.”
“Dude, he does not miss!!! He’s also one of the kindest people.”
The western tune transports you back in time to a dance hall, where couples spin around the dance floor. The steel guitar’s upbeat tempo has you instantly tapping your foot, wanting to get out on the dance floor to boot scoot.
The tune details a cowboy who is at a dance hall, trying to have a good night. While he’s enjoying sitting at the bar and drinking out cold beer, his night changed when a beautiful woman approached him. The character appears to be high maintenance, and while she might not be his usual cup of tea, he’s fascinated by this woman and wants to take her for a spin on the dance floor, and hopes that if he plays his cards right, he can spin her all the way home.
“Well, you could probably take advantage of this, cowboy
If you gave up that hard-to-get routine
We’ll throw down a couple rounds of cold ones
And see where this old neon light might lead
Well, I ain’t trying to steal your heart, girl
And I ain’t trying to make you fall
I ain’t looking for no place to start, girl
But tell me what could be so wrong?
A little two-steppin’ around
This little honky tonk crowd
Well, I’d be all about it, how ’bout you?
I ain’t trying to dance across the floor
To right there out the door
No, I ain’t trying
But I ain’t trying not to”
Luckily for fans, this is not an unreleased gem that we’ll have to wait months to hear the release date, because he’s already shared the projected drop date. A Houston man shared a clip of the tune during a recent show, noting that Keith told the crowd fans can expect the song on streaming platforms in March of 2026.
Not an ideal wait, however, given the outpour of musical content we’ve gotten from Keith this year, I’ll take the pause before we get this tune.
I hope the start of the new year flies by because this is going to be a hit.
