In the post that Elon Musk – the world's richest man – comments on his platform X, it is stated, among other things, that Algerians are 122 times more likely to commit aggravated rape than Swedes. For Afghans, the number 69 is given.
Where these calculations come from is unclear, but the list of the most rape-prone immigrant groups corresponds in order to the 1996 study of immigrant crime from the Crime Prevention Council (BRÅ 1996:2).
In that study, immigrants from the entire region of Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia were found to be, on average, 22 times more prone to rape than Swedes when it came to serious outdoor rape. The Algerians were at the top in the study, but the statistical basis was, according to BRÅ, too small to be able to draw any safe conclusions about their likelihood of committing rape.

Since the new year, Elon Musk has spread a lot of information about immigrant-related crime in Europe, including about the Pakistani rape gangs in Great Britain. His involvement in the issue has sparked debate among immigration critics. Some welcome the fact that these issues are finally getting a lot of attention, while others are more suspicious of the American oligarch's motives, warning that he is trying to buy up anti-immigration parties to exploit them for his own financial ends.
Among other things, it has emerged that Musk - who was also Donald Trump's biggest donor in the US presidential election - in December discussed a donation of 100 million dollars to the British party Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage.
However, those discussions appear to have stalled, and after Farage walked out and marked independence against Elon Musk, Musk immediately demanded that Farage be replaced as party leader because he doesn't "have what it takes":
