ICE Directed To Pause Most Immigration Raids On Multiple Industries, Reports Claim

The Trump administration has directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials to largely pause raids and arrests on farms, hotels, and restaurants, multiple outlets reported. The New York Times cited an internal email and three U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter. ICE directed to pause immigration arrests at farms, hotels and restaurants, sources tell CBS News. https://t.co/Y4tmoLr8j5 — CBS News (@CBSNews) June 14, 2025 From The New York Times: The new guidance comes after protests in Los Angeles against the Trump administration’s immigration raids, including at farms and businesses. It also came as Mr. Trump made a rare concession this week that his crackdown was hurting American farmers and hospitality businesses. The guidance was sent on Thursday in an email by a senior ICE official, Tatum King, to regional leaders of the ICE department that generally carries out criminal investigations, including work site operations, known as Homeland Security Investigations. “Effective today, please hold on all work site enforcement investigations/operations on agriculture (including aquaculture and meat packing plants), restaurants and operating hotels,” he wrote in the message. The email explained that investigations involving “human trafficking, money laundering, drug smuggling into these industries are OK.” But it said — crucially — that agents were not to make arrests of “noncriminal collaterals,” a reference to people who are undocumented but who are not known to have committed any crime. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the guidance. Update: President Trump has instructed ICE and other immigration officers to temporarily pause arrests at farms, hotels and restaurants, per WSJ. pic.twitter.com/Awm2kHo0Cu — US Homeland Security News (@defense_civil25) June 14, 2025 “We will follow the president’s direction and continue to work to get the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens off of America’s streets,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said, according to The New York Times. “Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump said earlier this week. “In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!” he added. Per Reuters: The order to scale back U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids came from Trump himself, the person familiar with the matter said, and appears to rein in a late-May demand by top White House aide Stephen Miller for more aggressive sweeps. Trump was not aware of the extent of the enforcement push and “once it hit him, he pulled it back,” the person said. The new directive, issued on Thursday, still allows for investigations into serious crimes such as human trafficking.

Evidence in MN Assassin’s Car Reveals Link with Anti-Trump ‘NO KINGS’ Protests

An update has been revealed regarding the suspect in this morning’s targeted assassinations in Minnesota. The MN State Troopers have released a photo showing a pile of flyers purportedly found in the ‘fake’ police vehicle used by the assailant: Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution. pic.twitter.com/7hFccnrQUT — MN State Patrol (@MnDPS_MSP) June 14, 2025 The assassin reportedly fled after an altercation with law enforcement when they confronted the person, leaving his vehicle behind. While the organization behind the ‘No Kings’ anti-Trump protests say they are non-violent… They are using language and symbolism in their marketing that basically SCREAMS Antifa, as one key counterterrorism expert has pointed out: One point that I haven’t see anyone make yet is that the “no kings” language is a deliberate dog whistle to the Anarchist/Antifa crowd, which frequently uses it. Another example of a fairly “mainstream” left wing organization adopting a hardcore militant framework. https://t.co/9yTY4qIeV1 — Kyle Shideler (@ShidelerK) June 12, 2025 As the large-scale manhunt continues, a shelter-in-place order has been issued by the local authorities. Minnesota State Patrol officers revealed the discovery of the ‘No Kings’ flyers during a press conference today, according to Newsweek: The suspect in the assassination of a Democrat lawmaker in Minnesota Saturday morning had a stack of flyers reading ‘No Kings’ in their vehicle, Minnesota State Patrol said on X. “Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution,” the MSP said, adding, “The photo is of flyers inside the vehicle of the suspect in today’s shootings.” ‘No Kings’ refers to the thousands of demonstrations scheduled to take place throughout the United States Saturday in protest of President Donald Trump as he holds a military parade on his birthday. The gunman, who remains at large, had targeted the home of Hortman after shooting Senator John Hoffman and his wife at their home. The search for the suspect, who was impersonating an officer by dressing like law enforcement and using a vehicle similar to law enforcement, continues, officials said. During the subsequent search of the suspect’s vehicle, a manifesto was also found — as reported by the MN State Troopers. That manifesto included information about OTHER POLITICAL OFFICIALS, which were then alerted to the possible danger. Here is a clip of that press conference by MN Troopers: The suspect is still being sought. With ‘No Kings’ protests planned across the nation today, the obvious question that comes to mind revolves around the remaining threat. Is he a lone actor, or are there more? Sen. John Hoffman and his wife may be able to shed light on that question, depending on their interaction with the suspect. They are expected to survive their injuries, as reported by Fox News: A Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband were shot and killed overnight in what Gov. Tim Walz said was a “politically motivated assassination.” Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hortman were fatally shot in Brooklyn Park by a suspect impersonating a police officer, police said. In a related shooting, DFL Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot in Champlin. They are expected to survive and are out of surgery. The incidents unfolded at around 2 a.m. The suspect exchanged gunfire with responding police but fled the scene and is still at large with a massive manhunt now underway. A shelter-in-place order has been issued within a 3-mile radius of Edinburgh Golf Course. The suspect wore black body armor, a badge, a Taser and appeared indistinguishable from real law enforcement, police said. He also drove a police-style SUV with flashing lights. As mentioned, the MN State Patrol cautioned people not to attend the ‘No Kings’ events in the area following the incident. But quickly after the event organizers canceled those events, after being ‘persuaded’ to do so: BREAKING: “No Kings” protest in Northeast Minneapolis canceled after two Minnesota lawmakers shot. pic.twitter.com/LKkMXwrEKj — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) June 14, 2025 The organizers of the MN ‘No Kings’ events say they canceled ‘in accordance with local and state guidance, according to CBS News: Organizers for the “No Kings” protests set for Saturday in Minnesota, with the biggest gathering set outside the State Capitol in St. Paul, have canceled all events following the targeted political shootings of state Rep. Melissa Hortman and state Sen. John Hoffman overnight. Minnesota State Patrol Col. Christina Bogojevic says fliers for the events were found in the vehicle of the suspect, who is still at large. A manhunt is underway with all of Hennepin County under a shelter in place order. “We don’t have any direct links, however there were some fliers that said ‘No Kings’ within the suspect vehicle, and as we know the planned, the events planned throughout the state of Minnesota is a No Kings event,” Bogojevic said. Capitol event organizers, who originally expected a turnout of 10,000 people, released this statement early Saturday afternoon: “Out of an abundance of caution and in adherence to guidance from Governor Walz and the Minnesota State Patrol, all remaining No Kings events in Minnesota are being canceled immediately. This decision comes in light of the ongoing shelter-in-place order and the tragic shooting that targeted two elected officials and their spouses. We are doing this in accordance with local and state guidance given the suspect is still at large impersonating a police officer. Early this morning, as news broke, the far left keyboard warriors seemed almost giddy. Were they REALLY going to get to blame a TRUMP REPUBLICAN / MAGA for killing Democrats? They didn’t wait for any information… but just assumed that MUST be the case. As it seems at this point, that was not the reality at all. And once again, as we tend to find out sometime later, those carrying out violent and deadly politically motivated acts nearly always turn out to have connections to far left progressive and woke organizations. This is a developing story, with information changing rapidly. We will keep you up-to-date as more information becomes available.

BREAKING: Former Tim Walz Appointee Indentified As Suspect In The Deadly Minnesota Lawmaker Shootings

Authorities have now identified the suspect in the fatal shootings of Minnesota lawmakers. Vance Luther Boelter, who Governor Tim Walz previously appointed to serve a four-year term on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, has been identified as the shooter in the fatal shooting of Minnesota state lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband. He is also the suspect in the shooting of Sen. John Hoffman and his wife. The New York Post had the full details: A former appointee of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is being sought in connection with the assassination of a state lawmaker and the shooting of another, police sources said. Vance Luther Boelter allegedly posed as a police officer when he shot Sen. John Hoffman and his wife in their Champlin home early Saturday, leaving them seriously injured before moving on to former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman’s house — where he is believed to have slaughtered her and her husband, sources told The Post. Boelter, 57, was appointed by Walz in 2019 to serve a four-year stint on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, documents show. He previously served on the Governor’s Workforce Development Council in 2016 under then-Gov. Mark Dayton. Suspect in the Minnesota attack is reportedly Vance Luther Boelter. He was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Gov. Tim Walz. Boelter had ‘NO KINGS’ flyers in his car. Walz needs to resign. pic.twitter.com/4T6Xs9zevT — Paul A. Szypula (@Bubblebathgirl) June 14, 2025 Listen to the FEAR in Rep Hortman voice after she voted to Repeal Healthcare for Illegal Aliens The Democrat party has sent a Message to others in their Party … Vote the LINE or perish She sounded like she knew her LIFE was in DANGER Did Vance Luther Boelter… pic.twitter.com/iaQC3xpYFW — Culture War Report (@CultureWar2020) June 14, 2025 The IBTimes provided this background of the suspect: Boelter’s political history includes an appointment in 2019 to a four-year term on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board under Governor Walz, and a previous role on the same council during the Dayton administration. The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair, last seen wearing black body armour over a blue shirt and blue trousers. He was driving a vehicle nearly indistinguishable from a legitimate police cruiser and had equipped himself with law enforcement paraphernalia, including a badge, a vest, and a Taser, allowing him to pass as an officer. Inside the suspect’s vehicle, investigators discovered flyers bearing the phrase ‘No Kings’—a reference to anti-Trump rallies scheduled to coincide with Donald Trump’s birthday parade—alongside a manifesto and a list of targeted political figures, including both Hoffman and Hortman. These findings, confirmed during a Saturday morning press conference by Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley, suggest the attacks were meticulously planned.

Former Democrat House Speaker Sentenced To Over 7 Years In Prison For CORRPUTION

Justice has been served in the state of Illinois. A former Democratic Illinois House Speaker has been sentenced to over 7 years in prison after being convicted on corruption charges. Former Democrat Representative Michael Madigan was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison after he was convicted of “trading legislation for the enrichment of his friends and allies.” The Hill had more details to report: Former Illinois Democratic lawmaker Michael Madigan was sentenced to more than seven years in prison following a federal corruption trial in Chicago. Madigan, the longest serving legislative leader in U.S. history, will also be required to pay a $2.5 million fine following a February conviction on 10 of 23 counts of corruption. “I’m truly sorry for putting the people of the state of Illinois through this,” Madigan, the former speaker of the state house, said before the sentencing according to the Associated Press. “I tried to do my best to serve the people of the state of Illinois,” he said. “I am not perfect.” His defense attorneys pushed for five years probation, hoping that he could stay at home to care for his wife Shirley, who’s suffering from aging complications. However, U.S. District Judge John Robert Blakey showed little leniency for the 83 year old who prosecutors said undertook corrupt dealings for years with supporting evidence from 60 witnesses and stacks of documents. “Being great is hard. Being honest is not. It’s hard to commit crimes. It actually takes effort,” Blakey said during the hearing. Former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan arrives to the Dirksen Federal Courthouse ahead of his sentencing this afternoon.#OnAssignment for @BlockClubCHI pic.twitter.com/RruojgeOkJ — Colin Boyle (@colinbphoto) June 13, 2025   ABC 7 Chicago had more details to add: Judge John Robert Blakey spent hours Friday discussing his reasoning for the sentence and enhancements on bribery, conspiracy and wire fraud charges. “Judge Blakey is sending a very powerful message, not only to Speaker Madigan, but to the entire political establishment here in Illinois. Don’t engage in corruption,” said Chris Hotaling, former federal prosecutor. The judge also touched on the ComEd Four conspiracy case and whether Madigan perjured himself, when he took the stand. Blakey said he believed he did. Madigan was convicted in February of bribery conspiracy and other corruption counts, including the scheme with ComEd that enriched his allies in exchange for favorable legislation. “We saw the public get a corruption tax for years and years, and we’re still paying that tax, frankly, when you look at the legislation that was passed,” said David Greising, President of the Better Government Association. Madigan is set to report to prison at 2 p.m. on October 13. Watch:

BREAKING: State Democrat Lawmakers Shot, One Killed Along With Husband – Manhunt Underway For Suspect Reportedly Impersonating Law Enforcement Per KXAN: Lawmakers and staffers also received a message Saturday from House Administration Chairman Charlie Geren, R-Fort Worth, about the threat, which referred to two Minnesota lawmakers being attacked overnight by a suspect dressed as a police officer. Former Minnesota Speaker and State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed, and Sen. John Hoffman and his spouse are in critical condition. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said it was a “politically motivated assassination.” “It seems to be an isolated incident. However, we’re always concerned about copycats and those who this attack might inspire,” Geren’s message said. According to protest organizers, U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, and State Sen. Sarah Eckhardt, D-Austin, were among the lawmakers set to speak during the protest on Capitol grounds. Other lawmakers, including Rep. Rhetta Bowers, D-Garland, issued statements, condemning the violent acts in Minnesota and the potential for more, saying “public service should never come at the cost of our safety or our lives.” “As someone who has worked extensively on issues of homeland security and public safety, I have seen the growing threats targeting elected officials across our country,” Bowers added. “Today’s events are a tragic reminder that these threats are not abstract — they are real, they are escalating, and they strike at the very heart of our democracy.” Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said on social media “death threats are sadly a part of serving in public life today.” This story is developing.
