New Study Debunks Diversity

A new study pointed out below could explain why all Democrats stick together and Republicans don’t. The diversity of thought is on the right. This post was shared by Temple University Professor Shell and it went viral. He’s a geographer and would like to see his work go viral as opposed to political posts that […] The post New Study Debunks Diversity appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Good Samaritan Jumps Into Action When He Spots A Broken Water Line Damaging Vehicles

A geyser is shooting out at a 45-degree angle, spewing water 30 to 40 feet. The high-pressure stream of water is showering nearby cars with debris. A man leaps from the car and runs to the location of the broken water line. He’s a man who sees a problem and immediately jumps into action to fix it. Reaching down into the access hole, he quickly turns the valve to shut off the water. @coconuttacos Sunday service #lasvegas #broken #waterpipe #flooded #gooddeeds #goodsamaritan #savetheday #constructionlife #wendyortiz #rainydayvibes #whatthehelly #sprinkler #citylife #99problems #fyp #blowthisup #makemefamous #growthisaccount #pov ♬ Monkeyshine-JP – Lt FitzGibbons Men Looking a bit like professional wrestler Samoa Joe, the man noticed the geyser while driving through a parking lot. Turning to his wife, he said, “Can we stop? I know how to turn it off.” She stopped, and he jumped out to save the day. With a pair of borrowed pliers, he kneeled and reached into the access hole. Within a few seconds, he had the valve turned off, and the water from the broken water line stopped flowing. He quickly returned the pliers to the man from whom he borrowed them. They uttered a few words and shared a smile. The good Samaritan returned to his vehicle and drove off as if that was a normal moment in his life. Image from TikTok. His wife recorded the video and posted it to TikTok. The man has received 273 marriage proposals, and 68 women have offered a one-for-one trade of their current husbands. Just kidding, but women love a man who sees a problem and fixes it. No fanfare. No fishing for compliments. Just action. Boom. Problem solved. Kudos to this man for being “one of those guys.” If you have a guy like this, hold onto him. If you have a procrastinator, we can offer you the number of a handyman near you. Please share. Waffle House Customer Catches “The Purest Interaction” When Elderly Regular Shows Up Outside

If you’ve ever been a regular at a restaurant, you’ve likely wondered if anyone who works there pays much attention. In the case of Hayden Massey’s PaPa, that is absolutely the case. There was a time when both him and his wife would visit a local Waffle House frequently. That changed, however, when she was moved into a home. During this transition period, PaPa didn’t visit Waffle House once. The people who work there had come to expect their frequent visits. So, after a while, they grew concerned for the beloved elderly couple. They had no way of knowing if they were alright. It’s no wonder they were so thrilled the day PaPa came back! In fact, they didn’t even wait until he got out of his vehicle to say “hello!” Watch this precious reunion for yourself in the video below. @1111cara Caught the purest interaction on video EVER! @Waffle House in Madison, GA you guys are the sweetest. After talking to some of the waitresses this was one of their regulars who they haven’t seen in a while. I literally teared up. #kindness #waho #spreadlove ♬ The Winner Is… Version – DeVotchKa This moment was captured by a fellow patron. They didn’t know anything about PaPa, but they did recognize this moment was something special. Luckily, so did millions of other people online. This video went so viral, in fact, that PaPa’s granddaughter, Hayden, came across it. Below you’ll find the comment she left expressing her gratitude. TikTok When a Waffle House Regular Returns After a Concerningly Long Absence, There’s a Super Sweet Reunion With so much attention on her PaPa, Hayden decided to share more about him and her MeMe. The two of them have been married for 65 years. They’ve always spent every moment they can together, making her move into a home likely difficult. Still, the two of them continue to find ways to bond despite their new living situation. TikTok When PaPa isn’t spending time with MeMe, he’s spending time with his sons, taking care of his plants, or finding ways to help out those he loves. For example, when Hayden mentioned she didn’t have a screwdriver, PaPa bought her an entire tool kit. “He’s as good as they come,” Hayden writes in the caption of her post, “and we’re so blessed he’s ours.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Haven Hill: Chapter 12

by the Author of The Widow in the Woods Here’s where the story left off last time. While the day dragged along for Ariel and Kate, Logan seemed to be having the time of his life. Back was the charming man who Kate had originally fallen for and Ariel had accepted as part of the family. They played some board games and ate snacks that Kate had stashed at the cabin. To anyone who didn’t know their background, they looked like a happy family. After lunch, Logan said, “I need to go get my truck and my personal supplies. Ariel, let’s go for a hike.” The girl froze, all attempts at covering her fear gone. She shook her head and backed away. Kate put herself in between Logan and her daughter. “Absolutely not,” Kate told him firmly. “You want me to trust you, but you want to take my child like you did once before? There’s no way, Logan. We’ll wait here while you go get your things. You can lock us in the basement again. You can zip tie us. Whatever you need to do, but you are NOT taking Ariel with you.” Logan’s face instantly darkened with rage, but he covered it quickly. He chuckled dryly. “If that’s the story you’re telling yourself about what happened, I can see why Ari is so scared of me.” Kate glared back at him stubbornly, refusing to give an inch. “You realize I could just make her come with me, right?” Logan pointed out. “You could, but you’d undo all the work you’ve done to get us to trust you again,” Kate countered. Logan appeared to be lost in thought. Finally, after a long few moments, he spoke. “Give me your shoes and get in the basement, Ari,” he ordered. “Katie, you’re coming with me. I don’t trust the two of you alone here. I’m sorry, but I just don’t.” Kate turned and looked at the daughter she adored. “It’s okay, Ariel. Do what he says. I promise I’ll be okay.” “You can’t promise that,” Ariel disagreed, fat tears rolling down her cheeks. “I want to be with you, Mom.” “I’m only taking one of you with me,” stated Logan firmly. “You two can thrash it out but I’m not in the mood to have you plotting against me again.” Kate went to Ariel and hugged her, whispering, “This is how we get out tonight. Trust me.” Ariel’s slender body was wracked with sobs, but to her credit she did as she was told. She switched out her boots for the Yeti slippers, went to the restroom, grabbed her book, and headed downstairs. She paused and looked back at her mother longingly. “I love you, Mom.” Her voice broke, and she went downstairs. Logan barred the basement door, and it was time to go. Kate finished lacing up her hiking boots, grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, shoved it into her backpack, and strode off into the forest with Logan. … Kate was surprised when Logan headed right down the driveway toward the gravel road that led to their cabin. Once at the bottom, instead of taking a left out toward the main road, they took a right and the road narrowed to one lane. It wasn’t far until Logan veered off the side of the road to where his truck sat. It has been loosely covered with a tarp and some fallen branches and if you didn’t know it was there, you’d never notice it. Kate stood aside while Logan cleared off the truck and unlocked it with his key fob. “Get in,” he ordered. She climbed into the passenger side where she found the back of the cab was jampacked with totes, backpacks, and grocery bags. He had been in it for the long haul. “Don’t get mad at me, but I have a question,” Kate ventured. Logan glared, already annoyed, but quickly wiped the expression off his face and replaced it with a more neutral one. “Shoot.” I wish, thought Kate. “Aren’t you on parole or something? Don’t you have to check in and stay in the county and away from us?” “They took three years of my life,” Logan replied. “I’m not giving them one more day.” “But won’t you end up back in jail if you don’t –“ “No,” Logan interrupted angrily, jamming his key into the ignition. “I’m not going back. Q&A time is over.” Kate stopped speaking. If she antagonized him now, he wouldn’t be as ready to let his guard down later, she counseled herself wisely. With a roar, the diesel engine started, and Logan backed out onto the road. He drove back to the cabin in complete silence, with no radio or conversation to break the tension. … When they took the short drive back to the cabin, Logan’s good mood appeared to be restored. “Help me bring this stuff in,” he demanded as he shouldered a duffel bag and grabbed a case of beer. Kate looked away when she saw the beer, because the spark of light in her eyes might give her away. Now, she had a plan. … When the bar was lifted and the basement door opened, Ariel rushed to her mother and the two embraced as though they’d been apart for years instead of less than an hour. Logan shook his head and began to stock the refrigerator with beer. Then, he dug in his backpack and pulled out a bottle in a brown paper bag – some kind of booze, Kate noted, though she wasn’t sure what. She forced herself not to smile in satisfaction and excused herself to the bathroom. Once Kate had locked the door behind her, she painstakingly opened the mirrored door to the medicine cabinet. She stopped it before it began to squeal in protest, reaching up along the top shelf for a small bottle of pills. “Alprazolam,” the bottle read. “Alcohol may intensify the effects of this medication.” Thanks for the serving suggestion, Kate thought, as she stuffed a few pills into the pocket of her sweatpants. These pills had been in the cabinet for quite some time. They’d been prescribed when Ariel was suffering regularly from uncontrollable panic attacks. She rarely used the pills anymore, since she had learned to control her breathing and manage her fears better, but Kate kept them on hand, just in case they were needed. And today, they were definitely needed. For good measure, she added a couple of Benadryl tablets to her pocket. She carefully, quietly, closed the door to the medicine cabinet, washed her hands in the sink, and emerged from the bathroom, hoping that she looked innocent. If UK Wants Peace in Middle East, It ‘Would Sanction the Leaders of Qatar,’ Ex-Israeli Spokesman Says

The United Kingdom should sanction Qatar, not Israeli leaders, a former spokesman for the Israeli government says.   “I think if the U.K. wanted to use its sanctions power to promote peace in the Middle East, they would sanction the leaders of Qatar,” Eylon Levy told The Daily Signal after the U.K.’s sanctioning of Israeli government Cabinet ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, both described in the legacy media as “far right.”   British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, along with counterparts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway, have accused the two Israeli ministers of incitement of “extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights.”   Levy is originally from London and served as Israeli government spokesman from after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack on Israel until March 2024. While Levy made clear he doesn’t condone anything Ben-Gvir and Smotrich have said, the move to sanction the two men is a “deeply unfortunate and counterproductive decision,” he said. Instead, in order to promote peace in the region, the U.K. should “tell the Qatari leadership that unless and until they force Hamas’ leaders, who are resident in Doha, to release the [Oct. 7] hostages immediately, they will be sanctioned until Hamas’ leaders are put on a plane and extradited to face trial for crimes against humanity,” Levy said.   But the U.K. won’t sanction Qatar, according to Levy, because “Qatar owns too much of the U.K.” The U.K. government did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment.   In the fourth quarter of 2024, total trade in goods and services between the U.K. and Qatar was more than $7 billion, according to the U.K.’s Department for Business and Trade.   “Qatar was the U.K.’s 46th-largest trading partner” in the fourth quarter of 2024, “accounting for 0.3% of total U.K. trade,” according to the U.K. government.  .   Qatar, along with the U.S. and Egypt, have worked to negotiate hostage and ceasefire deals between Israel and Hamas since Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that left 1,200 people dead and 251 hostage in Gaza.   Now more than 20 months after the attack, 53 hostages remain in Gaza, about 20 of whom are thought to still be alive, and fighting continues between Hamas terrorists and the Israel Defense Forces.   Hamas maintains a political office in Doha, though leaders were reportedly asked to leave toward the end of 2024. Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said the office was created for the sake of negotiations.  Khaled Mashal, a top Hamas leader, lives in Qatar, the BBC reported in January.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the news outlet Al Jazeera, which is partially funded by the Qatari government, is a “terror channel,” accusing the outlet of encouraging violence against the Jewish state.   “I think that this war could have gone very differently,” Levy said, “if the world had treated Qatar at the beginning, not as a neutral mediator, but as Hamas’ patron that is housing Hamas’ leaders, that is using its global media network Al Jazeera to poison minds against Israel and run Hamas propaganda, and has taken a side in this war while framing itself as a peacemaker, and that’s deeply unfortunate.”  The post If UK Wants Peace in Middle East, It ‘Would Sanction the Leaders of Qatar,’ Ex-Israeli Spokesman Says   appeared first on The Daily Signal.

CNN star and Biden flack cash in on too-late confessions

We were told to follow the science. We were told to trust the media. We were told the “adults” were back in charge. Now, after years of narratives that often disguised more than they revealed, two prominent figures — CNN anchor Jake Tapper and former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre — have released books that strategically admit what much of the public already knew: The full truth wasn’t offered when it mattered most.Redemption begins with humility, not a hardcover release date.Tapper’s new book, “Original Sin,” co-authored with Axios’ Alex Thompson, presents itself as a political thriller. But its real value lies in what it reveals — consciously or not — about the political and media class’ calculated suppression of uncomfortable truths.According to Tapper’s reporting, President Joe Biden’s inner circle was “rattled” by his apparent mental and physical decline — yet worked to shield it from being seen by the public. The book describes a White House where denial wasn’t just a strategy — it was a requirement.‘Truth’ griftersThe Wall Street Journal described “Original Sin” as capturing “a conspiracy in plain view” — a culture in which aides and allies chose silence over honesty, spin over transparency, and, ultimately, their own job security over the voters’ right to know. This admission, coming now in 2025, would land differently had Tapper not been one of the very voices leading the national chorus of “nothing to see here!” In fact, many of the same journalists now embracing post hoc honesty were the ones who derided and dismissed concerns about the president’s cognitive health as partisan smear or conspiracy theory. And the American people noticed.Despite extensive promotion across CNN and various media platforms, “The Lead with Jake Tapper” experienced its lowest ratings since August 2015. According to Nielsen data, the program averaged only 525,000 total viewers between April 28 and May 25, marking a 25% decline from the same period last year. This significant drop occurred despite the high-profile release of “Original Sin” and an accompanying media tour, the New York Post reported. The book is following a similar trajectory, having only sold just over 54,000 copies in its first week of release. Compare that to Bob Woodward’s “Fear: Trump in the White House,” which sold over 1 million copies its first week.Cue Ronald Reagan’s famous line, “There you go again,” as Jean-Pierre’s forthcoming memoir, “Independent,” also seeks to reframe her time in the public eye. From her position behind the White House lectern, Jean-Pierre frequently repeated talking points that proved to be misleading or outright false. She insisted the border was secure, the economy was strong, and the president was sharp — all while video clips, inflation rates, and rising crime told another story. In fairness, press secretaries are paid to spin. But spin becomes something more troubling when it is used to insulate a president from basic scrutiny — or when it misleads the public during moments of national consequence. If Jean-Pierre is now prepared to acknowledge the strain of carrying water for bad policies, that would be welcome. But the timing — conveniently aligned with a book launch — raises an unavoidable question: Why didn’t the truth matter until it could be monetized?I believe in second chances. I believe in forgiveness. But as someone who also believes in responsibility and truth-telling, I have little patience for public figures who withhold candor until the book advance clears. Redemption begins with humility, not a hardcover release date.If Tapper and Jean-Pierre had come forward years ago — if they had endured the risk of telling the truth in real time — they might be worth celebrating. But this isn’t courage. It’s career rehab. An actual truth-tellerNow consider someone like Tulsi Gabbard. As a sitting Democratic congresswoman and presidential candidate in 2020, Gabbard called out her own party for embracing censorship, racial essentialism, and permanent war. She stood on a debate stage and denounced what she called “an elitist cabal of warmongers,” earning the scorn of her colleagues and the legacy media. Hillary Clinton even baselessly smeared her as a Russian asset. Gabbard didn’t wait for the polling to shift or a book contract to come through — she risked her future in real time.Eventually, she left the Democratic Party, but not before paying a price for telling some highly inconvenient truths. That’s what integrity looks like. You don’t wait for the winds to change — you stand firm when they blow hardest.Contrast Gabbard with Tapper and Jean-Pierre. Their books reveal what many Americans suspected: that much of what we were told during the Biden years — from the state of the president’s health to the “success” of his policies — was concocted more for optics than accuracy.RELATED: Who ran the White House? Ask Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson under oath Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty ImagesBut their revelations come not from principle, but from convenience. It’s safe to speak out now. The public mood has shifted. Their platforms are shrinking. The political protection is gone.America continues to suffer the consequences of schools closed, churches locked, speech silenced, borders breached, and families squeezed by inflation. These outcomes weren’t accidental. Leaders defended them at the time, then later pretended they had known better all along. They chose opportunism over accountability. The darker concern runs even deeper: This cycle has become routine. Politicians and pundits lie or mislead while the incentives favor silence. They play along when it pays. Then, when the polls shift and the public turns sour, they rebrand — posing as truth-tellers who claim they always had doubts, always saw what others missed.Next come the book deals, podcast tours, and cushy contributor gigs.We now live in a country where consequences get outsourced and apologies turn into revenue. Lie when it’s profitable. Confess when it sells. And hope the public forgets who helped dig the hole in the first place. But many of us do remember. We, the people, remember. If Tapper and Jean-Pierre want to make amends, they should start with a simple, unqualified apology — not to their publishers or media friends, but to the American people. The public paid the price for the misinformation they amplified and defended. That’s who deserves the truth now.

Surprise hit indie game Backpack Battles launches into 1.0 with two new classes

When I saw the reveal of Resident Evil Requiem, my mind immediately conjured up one of the series’ most iconic moments - playing inventory Tetris in RE4. Most don’t handle it that well; sorting out your items is typically one of the most frustrating parts of games, with RPGs such as Diablo 4 and Baldur’s Gate 3 among the big offenders. Backpack Battles changes that. The indie game proved an instant hit when it launched into early access in 2024, selling 100,000 copies in a single day. Now, just over a year later, Backpack Battles 1.0 is here, adding two new classes and much more, and it’s yours for 20% off if you’re quick.
