Washington police and other law enforcement agencies served a search warrant Wednesday afternoon seeking evidence in a fatal shooting that occurred in the city this past weekend. The city’s police department issued a press release stating they were seeking video evidence from 147 N. Main St., which is currently leased by the Sin City Disciples Motorcycle Club. The building is close to the location of the Oct. 11 shooting that claimed the life of 20-year-old Jullian Lassic of Washington. Lassic was shot and killed shortly before 3 a.m. that morning in the alley next to Joe’s Bakery at 123 N. Main St. A second victim was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital. Washington Mayor JoJo Burgess said Thursday that the warrant was sought for the purpose of collecting surveillance footage, and was not connected to any specific individual. For members of the Odysseus Motorcycle Club, there is more to a ride than the sound of engines and open roads – it’s about community and compassion. On Saturday, October 12, the club set out from N1 City for a charity ride to Fallen Angels Pet Rescue near Melkbosstrand, bringing with them donations of food, money, and supplies for the animals. Earlier in the month, the bikers paid R7,500 directly to Fallen Angels’ vet account at West Beach Animal Hospital. This was followed by R3,850 worth of food, blankets, and supplies, and R1,000 in cash donations, bringing the total value of their support to over R13,000.  A local donor also gifted toys for the animals. Member and media liaison for the club, Basil Forbes, said it was an “awesome experience” visiting the shelter.  The highlight of the day, he said, included the adoption of one of the rescue dogs by his friend and Odysseus member Dick De Kroon. McGREGOR, Texas (KWTX) – A Central Texas couple is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the recovery of a stolen motorcycle and/or the arrest of the so-called “Boxhead Bandit.” The motorcycle was stolen in McGregor, Texas, last week. Surveillance footage shared with KWTX shows a man wearing a cardboard box over his head walking up and taking the motorcycle. The man carved holes into the box in order to be able to see through it. Police said the suspect was seen walking into the alley from 4th Street at about 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10.
