Michael Fishman Chooses Peace Over Drama After ‘The Conners’ Ends Without Him, Honors Roseanne Barr

For Michael Fishman, the end of The Conners was not about screen time or storylines. It was about gratitude. Two weeks after the finale aired without him, he quietly took to Instagram with a message not of bitterness, but of love for the woman, Roseanne Barr, who helped shape his childhood and his career. Fishman, now 43, grew up on set with Roseanne, playing her youngest son, D.J. Conner, since he was just six years old. Even though both of them were absent from the show’s final goodbye, his tribute was genuine and warm. A defining moment for Michael Fishman as he honors Roseanne Barr             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Michael Fishman (@reelmfishman)   On Mother’s Day, Fishman shared a post: a throwback clip of Roseanne with him and his TV siblings. Under it, he wrote, “Roseanne achieved her goal by creating the most authentic and engaging TV Mom.” His words were honest, direct, and full of warmth. Just a few days earlier, he had posted one of his favorite scenes with her from their early days. It was a moment Roseanne offered him chili, and his young character, D.J., replied with a straight face, “It’s a little bit bland.” The memory made him smile. “This was a defining moment for me as a young actor,” he wrote. But more than that, he said, it showed how much love they shared. Michael Fishman, Roseanne Barr/Instagram “I’m always going to have love for her.” Despite being left out of The Conners finale, Fishman made one thing clear: he is not holding on to resentment. When fans started asking questions, hoping for controversy, he calmly shut it down. “All I’ve ever had was empathy and understanding,” he said in a video. No shade. No shots fired—just peace. The Conners/Instagram Fishman explained that not including D.J. in the final episodes was simply a creative decision. Not personal. Not dramatic. He has chosen to let it go. “I move forward,” he told one fan. As for Roseanne, her son later revealed she had not watched a single episode of the spinoff and did not even know it had ended. Still, for Fishman, that doesn’t erase what she meant to him. “I’m always going to have love for her.” Next up: Marlo Thomas Spotted Publicly For The First Time Since Husband Phil Donahue’s Death The post Michael Fishman Chooses Peace Over Drama After ‘The Conners’ Ends Without Him, Honors Roseanne Barr appeared first on DoYouRemember? - The Home of Nostalgia. Carnie Wilson Weighs In On Ozempic Craze After Famously Having Weight Loss Surgery

Ozempic is the latest craze in Hollywood’s ongoing weight-loss obsession. From TikTok influencers to A-listers walking the red carpet, Ozempic and similar drugs like Mounjaro have become the go-to quick fix. Big names like Elon Musk, Chelsea Handler, and Sharon Osbourne have either used it or admitted to trying it, all in a bid to drop pounds fast. But not everyone is on board. Carnie Wilson, the Grammy-nominated singer known for being open about her health journey, is choosing a different path. In a recent interview, she made it clear that Ozempic is not for her. Carnie Wilson is staying away from Ozempic because it scares her Carnie Wilson /Instagram Carnie has been down the weight-loss road before. She once weighed over 300 pounds and had both gastric bypass and lap band surgeries. That journey helped her shed over 100 pounds. But when it comes to medication like Ozempic, she’s drawing the line. “That scares me,” she said. “I won’t do it. I just had a friend who was hospitalized, so it’s not going to happen for me.” Instead of jumping on the celebrity trend, Carnie is focusing on a slower, more balanced routine. She tries to avoid sugar, eats simple foods like apples, and pays attention to how her body responds to what she eats. “If I eat an apple, I feel better. If I eat sugar, I don’t feel good,” she explained. CARNIE!, host Carnie Wilson, (1995), 1995-96. © Warner Bros. Television / Courtesy: Everett Collection Carnie Wilson is building a safe space for others with Connecting with Carnie For Carnie, the issue goes beyond body size; it’s about health, inside and out. She’s now using her voice to talk more about mental health, especially during Mental Health Awareness Month. Through her new initiative, Connecting with Carnie, she hopes to build a safe space for others dealing with similar struggles. “There’s still such a stigma with mental health,” she said. “We’re just human, aren’t we? We have a range of emotions… I just try to stay positive every day.” Carnie Wilson and his father, Brian Wilson/Instagram Mental health has been a lifelong journey for her. She says she started feeling the effects as early as age five and believes it runs in her family, including her father, Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson. Now, she’s learning to manage anxiety and depression day by day. Ex-Tiger Beat Editor Reflects On Lasting Friendship With Then-Teen Idol Bobby Sherman

For a few golden years between 1968 and 1972, Tiger Beat magazine was the voice of teen America, and Ann Moses was the one holding the pen. As the magazine’s editor, Moses worked closely with the brightest stars of the time, including Bobby Sherman, whose face graced the cover for months. Moses remembers those early years fondly, describing a young man who was never too famous to be kind. Before he became a household name, Sherman had already left an impression. They first crossed paths around the time he was cast in Here Come the Brides, and the bond between the journalist and star quickly grew. Tiger Beat’s Ann Moses had a close friendship with teen idol Bobby Sherman             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Ann Moses (@annmosestigerbeat)   Bobby Sherman was everything a teen idol was expected to be, but more importantly, he was sincere. Behind the scenes, he brought none of the egos that fame often encourages. He greeted photo shoots gracefully, worked seamlessly with photographers like Gene Trindl, and enthusiastically embraced the role of teen idol. Moses recalls visiting his parents, Juanita and Robert, at their home in the San Fernando Valley, where they had built a recording studio for their son. Interviews with his mother and sister, Darlene, added a beautiful touch to the magazine stories, showing that Bobby’s life was deeply rooted in family support. Throughout his stardom and fame, Sherman remained humble. He was approachable even when chatting with co-stars on set, entertaining fans in his Rolls-Royce, or showing Moses around his Encino home in a golf cart. There were no big entourages, just Bobby, his music, his love for performing, and his manager, Ward Sylvester. Ann Moses, Bobby Sherman/Youtube video screenshot/Imagecollect A lasting friendship Even off-camera, Bobby’s charm never faded. He and Moses had long drives to shared conversations, and Moses experienced an easy and lasting friendship. Though he casually showed off some home surveillance cameras, his fans still loved it. As Bobby Sherman faces serious health challenges today, his legacy still stands. For those who knew him, like Ann Moses, he is remembered for his kindness, steadiness, and the rare ability to make even fans, friends, and colleagues feel like they mattered. Gary Sinise On Leaving Hollywood And How He’s Working Through Grief After Son Mac’s Death

Gary Sinise is finding purpose and fulfillment in his unique way, far from Hollywood’s spotlight. The 70-year-old actor stepped away from his career in 2019 to support his family through a difficult time of his wife’s health issue, followed by their son’s heartbreaking chordoma diagnosis, a rare and aggressive spinal cancer. In 2018, Sinise’s wife, Moira, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, but as she began treatment, the couple’s son, Mac, also became ill. The news was crushing, and he redirected all his time and resources toward caregiving. Despite the arduous journey, Sinise now devotes his energy to honoring the life of his late son, Mac, through music and service. Gary Sinise’s son, Mac Sinise – how Gary is coping after his death             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by People Magazine (@people)   After years of treatment, Moira was declared cancer-free. However, Mac’s condition seemed to worsen. He had multiple surgeries, and a relentless fight defined his final years. But Sinise remained a constant source of support, balancing fatherhood and his personal life. In 2020, he left acting entirely, prioritizing his role as a caregiver and supporter to his family members. As Mac’s health declined, the family leaned heavily on their Catholic faith. Despite being paralyzed from the chest down and losing mobility in his arms, Mac never gave up hope. He continued creating music, even learning to play the harmonica when other instruments became too difficult. His faith deepened alongside his courage, inspiring his family and those around him. In 2023, the Sinise family relocated to Tennessee to be closer to their loved ones while living an affordable lifestyle. This helped Mac to collaborate with a close friend to record an album of original compositions. Just weeks after celebrating his 33rd birthday, Mac passed away on January 5, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Gary Sinise and his late son, Mac Sinise/Instagram Grief and healing The loss left a deep void, but Gary Sinise has channeled his grief into purpose. After his passing, Mac’s music was released across two albums, Resurrection and Revival, with all proceeds benefiting the Gary Sinise Foundation. Gary Sinise/Imagecollect Today, Sinise finds comfort in his role as “Papa” to five grandchildren, as he lives close to his two daughters. Although he is unsure whether he will return to his acting career, he is finding comfort in the company of his family. Carol Burnett’s Grandson Cries For Help After Apparently Being Attacked In Shelter

Zachary Carlson, a 28-year-old wheelchair user whose grandmother is the legendary Carol Burnett, is living a reality far from Hollywood’s glitz and glamour. Zachary has been abandoned in a shelter even though he’s suffering from a serious health condition. Sadly, Zachary was recently attacked in a shelter where he should have felt safe. He had been trying to stay alive in a rough area of Los Angeles, even with no real help, no stable home, and no support from the family he came from, when this attack happened. Zachary Carlson couldn’t defend himself against the attackers Carlson is the oldest son of Carol’s estranged daughter, who has long battled substance abuse problems — but now claims to have been clean and sober for the past 18 months. According to a close friend of Carlson, his deathward spiral began in 2020 when, aged 23. pic.twitter.com/tFp4d7O8KD — Radar Online (@radar_online) May 9, 2025   Zachary was in a wheelchair and unable to move, when he was attacked in the place that was supposed to be his shelter. He could not fight back. He could not run. He was completely exposed. “He was terrified. There was nothing he could do,” a close source shared. The next day, the shelter tried to move him somewhere else, but the fear had already settled in him. He was not just hurt. He was shaken to the core. A friend stepped in temporarily and got him into a Motel 6 just to give him a breather. On his GoFundMe, Zachary wrote, “I’m honestly terrified of the possibility of having nowhere to go.” The desperation is evident in his words. He just wants to feel safe. Zachary currently suffers from complex regional pain syndrome, partial paralysis, and other illnesses. Carol Burnett/Imagecollect Carol Burnett is not stepping in to save her grandson Zachary is the son of Erin Hamilton, Carol Burnett’s daughter, who has battled addiction for years. When Zachary overdosed at 23, it led to spinal seizures that left him in the hospital for almost a year. After months of therapy, he became partially quadriplegic. Since then, he’s had almost no contact with his grandmother, not even a check-in. Carol Burnett and daughter, Erin Hamilton/Instagram Sources say Carol only spoke to him once, during that hospital stay, and only after his mother begged her to. Since then? Silence. No visit. No call. No help. “This isn’t tough love,” someone close to the family said. “It’s cruel. It’s like they don’t exist to her.” Zachary and his mom have both tried to reach out. They’ve made it clear in every way that he is on his own. Jamie Lee Curtis Recalls Getting ‘Love Boat’ Role After 1978 Big Break On ‘Halloween’

Jamie Lee Curtis is opening up about the unexpected path her acting career took following her breakout role in Halloween. In a recent interview, the actress reflected on her early days in Hollywood and the moments she shared with her mother, Janet Leigh. Although many assumed that Curtis would immediately become famous after Halloween, she revealed it did not happen that way. She made a special guest appearance on The Love Boat and starred opposite her real-life mother. In the episode “Chubs/Locked Away/Till Death Do Us Part—Maybe,” Curtis played a young bride navigating marital troubles while Leigh was her on-screen mother. It was a beautiful experience for Curtis, who was still finding her footing in the industry. Jamie Lee Curtis on ‘The Love Boat’             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by 60 Minutes (@60minutes)   Curtis also recalled another early job on Charlie’s Angels, where she played a professional golfer and best friend to Cheryl Ladd’s character. These appearances allowed Curtis to build a track record. Despite being born to Hollywood stars Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, Jamie Lee Curtis insists that her effort earned her a place in the industry. She admitted her family name may have paved the way, but her auditions and persistence landed her roles. When she tried out for Halloween, which seemed to be a low-budget horror film at the time, she was just 19 years old and unaware of how much the opportunity would change her life. The movie eventually grossed $47 million. HALLOWEEN, Jamie Lee Curtis, 1978. Photo By: Kim Gottlieb-Walker/© Compass International Pictures/ Courtesy: Everett Collection Building an acting career In the interview, the 66-year-old candidly reflected on how unprepared she initially felt. She shared that acting had not been her first dream, as she once considered a career in law enforcement, and she never viewed herself as famous. She described her younger self as “cute but not pretty,” noting that even her teeth were gray as a child. Jamie Lee Curtis/Imagecollect Despite these insecurities, a friend encouraged her to audition at Universal Studios. At the same time, she was home from college, leading to a seven-year contract and the decision to leave school. Her journey took another unexpected turn when she began accepting commercial work in the ’90s and 2000s, allowing her to be home with her children. A Glimpse Into Toby Keith’s Final Shows In Las Vegas – An Intimate Farewell To His Fans

In December 2023, Toby Keith returned to the stage for a short run of shows. He performed on December 10, 11, and 14 at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, and all three nights were sold out. At that time, many fans didn’t know those shows would be his last. Keith died in February 2024 after a long fight with stomach cancer; he was 62. By then, he had already spent over three decades in country music. He became famous in the 1990s with hits like “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “How Do You Like Me Now?!,” and “Beer for My Horses.” His career included over 30 singles that reached the top ten, dozens of awards, and millions of records sold. Toby Keith’s last performance was a patriotic song he composed for America @jordangriffen3 @Toby Keith – Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue #tobykeith #courtesyoftheredwhiteandblue #inaugurationday #countryconcert #countrymusic #usa ♬ original sound – Live Music G   Each night in Las Vegas, Keith closed the show with a familiar song: “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).” During those shows, a video from the audience showed Keith singing the song while holding an American flag guitar. He looked thin and clearly ill, but his voice stayed sharp. People in the crowd noticed how different he looked, but said he still sounded like the same singer from years ago. Viewers online pointed out that it was strange hearing the same powerful voice from someone whose appearance had changed so much. Many praised how he stayed committed to finishing the show with energy. Toby Keith/Instagram What was Toby Keith’s song, ‘Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)’ about? Keith wrote the song shortly after the September 11 attacks. He later said he wrote it quickly, in one sitting, because he needed a track that would connect with American troops. The song describes a military response and personal pride, and it quickly became both popular and controversial. Toby Keith, portrait ca. 1990s Keith knew the song would split opinions, but he continued to perform it at concerts and military events. For years, it remained a key part of his live shows. He said the song meant something to a lot of people, especially those in the armed forces.
