This is utterly shameful. Tonight, the two candidates who are running for governor of Virginia debated each other on live television. Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat candidate, was finally confronted about her endorsement of Jay Jones. If you don’t know who Jay Jones is, he is the Democrat nominee for Virginia Attorney General. Recently, some very disgusting and violent text messages in which Jones fantasized about assassinating the GOP House Speaker and his kids came to light. So, during tonight's debate, the moderator directly asked Spanberger if she will continue to endorse Jay Jones. Spanberger attempted to give a non-answer, but the moderator continued to push and grill her about it. Still, Spanberger would not give a straight answer. SPANBERGER: "In fact, it appears that it was the, uh, those who released the text messages and held them for years so the public was unaware who had knowledge of these text messages." SEARS: "When did you KNOW, and what did you DO about it?!" SPANBERGER: "I learned of these text messages the day that they came out and I denounced them as soon as I learned of them." SEARS: "Oh, she denounces M*RDER!" SPANBERGER: "And importantly, um, at this point as we move forward, the voters now have this information, information that was withheld for them, presumably for political reasons." "But the voters now have the information and it is up to voter to make an individual choice based on this information." MODERATOR: "Do you still continue to endorse Jay Jones? 15 seconds, yes or no." SPANBERGER: "We are all running our individual races. I believe my opponent has said that about her lieutenant governor nominee." SEARS: "Third time's a charm, Abigail!" SPANBERGER: "It's up to every person to make their own decision. I am running my race to serve Virginia, and that is what I intend to do." MODERATOR: "We just want to clarify, what you're saying is that as of now, you still endorse Jay Jones as attorney general?" SPANBERGER: "I'm saying as of now, it's up to every voter to make their own individual decision." SEARS: "She STILL endorses him!" First of all, I have to give credit to that moderator for continuing to press her. It's nice to see them actually doing what they're supposed to do and not just giving the Democrat candidate softball questions. The FBI punished three officials who previously worked for Jack Smith — ultimately firing two. NBC News reported: The FBI took personnel action against three special agents who worked in connection with former special counsel Jack Smith’s probe of Donald Trump, firing at least two, three people familiar with the matter told NBC News. All three agents were previously named in documents released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, about “Arctic Frost,” an FBI probe that was the precursor to the Smith investigation, which resulted in two federal criminal cases against Trump: one for his handling of classified documents and the other involving his attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss, which ended in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. One of the fired FBI employees, a combat veteran who was months away from becoming eligible for retirement, was called back to the office after having left for the day and informed of the dismissal, a person familiar with the matter told NBC News. The other dismissed agent was also called back to the office after having left for the day, the person said. Patel said Tuesday night on Fox News that some agents involved in subpoenaing the phone toll records of members of Congress had been fired, though he did not say how many. “You’re darn right I fired those agents; you’re darn right I blew up CR-15, the public corruption squad, that led the weaponization at the Washington Field Office,” Patel said.
