Delta Airlines Treats Teens to Free ‘Dream Flights’ Inspiring Many to Become Pilots and Engineers

Every year, Delta Airlines hosts a special, one-of-a-kind trip to place the heads of ambitious Black students squarely in the clouds. Climbing aboard a Boeing 757 as it took off from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, 100 local teens were the latest passengers on Delta’s “Dream Flights” program, a give-back initiative that introduces students to […] The post Delta Airlines Treats Teens to Free ‘Dream Flights’ Inspiring Many to Become Pilots and Engineers appeared first on Good News Network.

Fallout Season 2 Trailer Offers Macaulay Culkin, Deathclaws, and Plenty of Unanswered Questions

News Fallout Fallout Season 2 Trailer Offers Macaulay Culkin, Deathclaws, and Plenty of Unanswered Questions Above: The most Kyle MacLachlans I could reasonably include in an image. By Matthew Byrd | Published on November 13, 2025 Photo: Prime Video Comment 0 Share New Share Photo: Prime Video The first proper trailer for Fallout season 2 just dropped, and the extended preview certainly offers our best look yet at the upcoming season while also raising a few fascinating (perhaps currently unanswerable) questions about its major players, locations, and events. As you may remember, the first season of Fallout ended with Lucy and Cooper (aka The Ghoul) pursuing Lucy’s father Hank following the reveal of his various betrayals. Elsewhere, the denizens of Vault 33 (which include Lucy’s brother Norm) are navigating the fallout (tee-hee) of a shocking series of events that upended their once seemingly-peaceful home, while Brotherhood of Steel squire Maximus finds that he has become a somewhat unintended war hero. It’s a lot, but the biggest thing to remember is that the season ends with Hank approaching the border of the New Vegas wastelands. And while this season 2 trailer offers glimpses of what’s next for our beloved band of misfits, the preview may mean the most to fans of the beloved 2010 video game Fallout: New Vegas. The trailer is filled with references to that game, including glimpses of its various factions, more footage of the show’s version of the game’s big bad, Mr. House, and a few locations, bots, and side characters sure to make us Fallout fans squeal with glee (as we are wont to do). While we’ve seen (or at least heard of) some of that before, this preview does feature a few new details. Notably, it offers our first look at the much-hyped new characters played by Macaulay Culkin and Kumail Nanjiani. We don’t learn much about either in the preview, though it appears both will play a role in the New Vegas faction war that is seemingly playing out around the main characters’ ongoing adventure. Notably, we also get our first proper look at the series’ Deathclaws, which is surprising given that the reveal of the fan favorite (relatively speaking) creature of death, destruction, and fear feels like the kind of thing another show would withhold from the preview material. Nevertheless, there it is near the end of the trailer in its brief, horrible glory. It’s not all revelations and resolutions, though. This trailer teases a few things that likely won’t be addressed until the season debuts (or, more likely, when it ends). For instance, is that Ron Perlman’s voice we hear roughly midway through? Perlman is the long-time narrator of the Fallout games, and it was reported that he’ll actually appear in the second season. Could he be playing a Super Mutant? Is Kumail Nanjiani playing Arthur Maxson? How will this show address the timeline ambiguities created by New Vegas‘ multiple endings? These are all questions… questions that need answering! Again, don’t expect any answers to those questions at the moment, though do feel free to wildly and irresponsibly speculate about them ahead of Fallout season 2’s Prime Video premiere on December 17. Israel Bill Allowing Government to Shut Down Foreign Media Outlets Passes First Reading

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. A bid to make Israel’s emergency “Al Jazeera Law” a lasting power of censorship has cleared its first hurdle in the Knesset. The measure, introduced by Likud MK Ariel Kallner, passed its initial vote on Monday with 50 members backing it and 41 opposed. The narrow margin reflects the deep divide over whether the state should have the authority to silence foreign media outlets even in peacetime. Kallner’s proposal would turn what was once a temporary wartime measure into a standing law, granting the government open-ended control over the presence of broadcasters in Israel. The bill removes any requirement for court involvement, allowing the communications minister to shut down news networks without judicial review. It also grants broad new powers. The minister could order internet companies to block online material, instruct cable and satellite providers to remove content, and direct the defense minister to disrupt foreign satellite signals to keep broadcasts from reaching Israeli audiences. The law in its current, temporary form was passed in April 2024, giving the government authority to act against foreign outlets during a declared emergency if their coverage was believed to be “doing real harm to state security.” Within weeks, that power was used to close Al Jazeera’s offices in Israel and confiscate its equipment. Those actions provoked alarm at home and abroad, with journalists and civil rights groups accusing the government of using security claims as a cover for suppressing uncomfortable reporting. Israel’s leadership has long condemned Al Jazeera’s coverage, alleging it amplifies Hamas propaganda and exposes Israeli troop movements. But until last year, no administration had taken formal steps to shut it down. The temporary law has since been renewed several times while lawmakers debated making it permanent. Kallner, who has been pushing the measure for over a year, finally succeeded in bringing it to a vote after it stalled in committee earlier in 2025. Next, the bill returns to the Knesset National Security Committee for further debate before facing its second and third readings. During committee discussions in July, the panel’s own legal advisor condemned the attempt to eliminate judicial oversight, calling it “unconstitutional.” Al Jazeera and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) have filed petitions challenging the measure, arguing that it undermines freedom of expression and the right to information. The Tel Aviv District Court, however, previously sided with the government in 2024, ruling that there was “a clear and proven causal relationship” between Al Jazeera’s coverage and terror attacks, and asserting that some of its Gaza-based journalists had acted as “de facto assistants and partners of the Hamas terror organization.” If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Joan of Arc: The Trials That Forged a Martyr

We all know the name of Joan of Arc. For some, she is a simple peasant girl who spoke for the people of France. For others, she is a divinely guided champion of nation and church. But who was the real woman behind the myth, and why did her short, triumphant life end in the tragedy of her being burned at the stake? In History Hit’s new documentary, The Trials of Joan of Arc, Dr Eleanor Janega investigates the evidence from the extraordinary trials that framed Joan’s short yet impactful life. Eleanor follows in Joan’s footsteps, from the royal court at Chinon to her military triumph in Orléans, tracing a journey of faith, warfare, and profound betrayal. Join Eleanor as she unravels one of history’s most powerful “what ifs” and ask why a teenage girl remains the ultimate symbol of French national pride. Sign up to watch The Dauphin’s desperation In 1429, with France fractured by the Hundred Years’ War (now in its 91st year), the monarchy faced collapse. After the crushing defeat at Agincourt in 1415, and deep divisions caused by the civil war between the Armagnacs and the powerful Burgundians, the French were dispossessed. The claimant to the French throne, Charles the Dauphin, was trapped in his castle at Chinon, desperate for a miracle as the English laid siege to Orléans, the last loyal stronghold. Into this crisis stepped Joan, a young woman born in 1412, who claimed to receive holy visions telling her of a divine mission: she was sent by God to break the siege at Orléans and deliver the Dauphin to be crowned King of France. Joan’s first trial was convincing the desperate Dauphin to listen to a poor peasant girl. Dressed in men’s clothing for credibility, she proved her mandate by immediately identifying Charles in the crowd at court despite his attempts to conceal himself. The Dauphin was facing a political nightmare – following his father’s death, the French had been forced to disinherit their own royal line in favour of the English infant, Henry VI. Joan promised to fix everything, but the stakes were impossibly high. As Eleanor explains, in the Middle Ages, her visions could just as easily be attributed to the devil as to God.  Joan of Arc’s visions – by Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848–1884)Image Credit: Jules Bastien-Lepage (1848–1884) / Public Domain Trials of plausibility and piety Having gained the nickname ‘La Pucelle’ (the maiden) Joan faced intense theological and physical scrutiny to confirm she was not a heretic. Joan was rigorously questioned by clergy – a test few uneducated young women could have passed – to ensure her faith was sound. She also underwent a physical examination to ensure she was still a virgin (as the devil could not claim a virgin).  Her extraordinary conviction and quick wit – once telling a cleric her heavenly voices spoke in a better dialect than his own – made her plausible. Joan passed every test. Convinced of her divine mission, the desperate Dauphin equipped her for war with special armour, a sword, and a white banner. The battle came at Orléans, where six months of French efforts to break the siege had failed. Arriving in April 1429, Joan was not merely a figurehead; her presence and vision – that victory would come if her banner touched the English fortress of Tourelles – reinvigorated the demoralised French troops.  Joan and her forces pressed forward successfully. As historian Matt Lewis asserts to Eleanor, “it’s hard to believe this would have happened if Joan was not here.” Joan had injected belief into the people – the crucial conviction that “not just that they could win, but that God wanted them to win”. Historians Matt Lewis and Dr Eleanor Janega in Orléans, FranceImage Credit: History Hit Triumph and the turning point With Orléans relieved, Joan’s mission was half complete. She smashed through English territory to reach Reims, the highly symbolic, traditional site for the coronation of French kings. Along the way, Joan had letters sent to French towns urging support and war supplies. Eleanor points out that while Joan likely couldn’t write, her ability to dictate and mark official documents with her signature was remarkable for a young girl of her time. These letters also show a contrast in her character: one letter pleads with the Duke of Burgundy to call off his forces due to the sadness and pain the war was causing, demonstrating her conscience, while another urges the sending of gunpowder, revealing her fierce warrior spirit. On 17 July 1429, the Dauphin Charles was crowned King Charles VII with Joan by his side. Despite having achieved everything she had promised, Joan wanted more. Her zeal to drive the English entirely from France quickly caused divisions with King Charles, who preferred diplomacy and treaties over the total warfare Joan felt was God’s command. The cracks widened when Charles called off the fighting at Paris, an action that enraged Joan, while the King grew weary of being commanded by a teenage girl.  The campaign against Joan By September 1429, Charles had disbanded the army, leaving Joan to set out on her own with a large volunteer force. Joan became the target of a campaign by English-aligned scholars to discredit her as a fraud: if she had divine favour, how could she lose a battle? The end came on 23 May 1430, when she was captured by the Burgundians and swiftly sold to the English. Shockingly, King Charles VII, whom she had saved, made no attempt to rescue her. The English immediately initiated a political show trial for heresy in January 1431, led by Bishop Cauchon (a loyal Burgundian), intending to invalidate Charles’s kingship by proving Joan was sent by the devil.  In the documentary, Eleanor meets Professor Anne Curry, who details how although treated formally, Joan’s independent religious conviction and insistence on wearing men’s clothes violated Canon Law and became pivotal evidence against her.  After initially confessing her heresy to avoid death, 4 days later, knowing the likely outcome and perhaps intending on martyrdom, Joan relapsed, choosing to wear men’s clothing again and claiming she had heard her voices. This was deemed final proof of heresy, leading to her being burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, in Rouen. Her remains were destroyed to prevent the creation of martyr relics.  Dr Eleanor Janega with Professor Anne Curry Enduring icon Though Joan was dead her cause endured. 22 years later, after the English had been expelled from almost all of France, Joan’s family successfully initiated a second trial to annul the conviction. Eyewitnesses were called, the archives were opened, and on 7 July 1456, Joan was officially pardoned, transforming her into a martyr. Eleanor notes that in death Joan became more important as a rallying point for an idea of Frenchness – “a symbol of a cause who hadn’t been worth enough alive to be protected by the people she died in service to”. As Eleanor concludes, Joan’s immense legacy endures in art and popular culture, with Corentin Dury, Curator at the Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Orléans, explaining how Joan has “inspired so many people in so many different ways.” Her story reveals the surprising knowledge ordinary medieval women possessed regarding complex legal and church doctrine, military tactics, and politics. Dr Eleanor Janega with Corentin Dury, Curator at the Musée des Beaux-Arts d’Orléans Joan was made a saint in 1920, serving as an icon of resilience for post-World War One France. Interestingly, Eleanor notes that modern admiration for Joan often focuses on the traditionally “masculine” traits for which she was killed: her courage, leadership, and her willingness to fight, suggesting we still prefer to see female power expressed through warrior tropes.  Nonetheless, despite her youth, Joan single-handedly changed the course of French and European history, offering thousands of reasons for her story to be reconsidered today. Join Dr Eleanor Janega on a journey into one of history’s most captivating stories in The Trials of Joan of Arc. Sign up to watch

Greenblatt Is Wrong! Censoring Conservatives Amplifies Anti-Semitism Online

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) CEO Jonathan Greenblatt entirely missed the root of the online anti-semitism problem. His solution silences pro-Jewish conservatives and allows anti-semitic leftist voices to fill the void. Speaking on the Misgav Mideast Horizons Podcast on Nov. 7, Greenblatt accurately called out Big Tech platforms for relying heavily on Qatari-government-funded Al Jazeera and on Wikipedia, which MRC Free Speech America exposed one day prior for its abundant use of Al Jazeera as a source.  [The story continues on MRCFreeSpeechAmerica.org]

Politico Avoids Jack Schlossberg's Deranged TikTok Videos in Congress Candidacy Story

Gregory Svirnovskiy of Politico has a very special gift of being able to ignore the more than obvious elephants in the room. This was on full display on Wednesday when he wrote about Jack Kennedy Schlossberg announcing his candidacy for the New York congressional seat now held by by retiring Congressman Jerry Nadler in "Schlossberg officially launches New York House campaign." One of the elephants in the room is Schlossberg's almost non-existent work history at the age of 32 which Svirnovskiy seems either unaware of or just ignores: Jack Schlossberg officially entered the race to fill an open New York City House seat on Wednesday, the latest in a long line of Kennedys to join the political arena. A Democratic influencer and grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, Schlossberg has cultivated a dedicated following on social media in recent years and recently served as a political correspondent at Vogue ahead of the 2024 election. Now, he hopes to parlay his notoriety into a successful campaign for a deep-blue New York House seat being vacated by the dean of New York’s congressional delegation, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.). Nadler announced his plans not to seek reelection in September. Um, Greg. Did you check on how much work Schlossberg actually did for Vogue? According to Grok, that "work" amounted to TWO whole articles in 2024 and none since then. To put that in proper perspective that is even less of a work load than that produced by Politico's former lethargic labor reporter, Mike Elk, who managed to muster up a grand total of five articles while attempting to unionize that news organization in order to ease the hard labor conditions that he claimed unfairly burdened him. A little skepticism entered in:  But while Schlossberg boasts prodigious skill on social media, alongside more than 1.5 million followers on TikTok and Instagram, he’s far from the favorite in the coming Democratic primary for the House seat. And that was as close as Svirnovskiy came to alluding to the yuge elephant in the room, namely Schlossberg's many sanity-challenged TikTok videos. Here is just a sampling of a few such as Schlossberg wearing a blonde wig pretending to channel Melania Trump on August 17, 2025: JFK’s grandson announces he is running for Congress. Jack Schlossberg, who recently mocked Melania Trump while wearing a blonde wig, has announced he is running as a Democratic candidate for New York’s 12th Congressional District. The district is currently represented by Rep.… pic.twitter.com/eQLxCHleys — Oli London (@OliLondonTV) November 12, 2025 Schlossberg's TikTok body of work has been prodigious with hundreds of videos not only as bizarre as the one above but cruel as well such as the following video in which he mocks the vocal impediment of  his cousin, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: JFK’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, posted a video mocking RFK Jr’s spasmodic dysphonia. It’s always nice to see the “tolerant” left show just how intolerant they are to people they disagree with. Pathetic. pic.twitter.com/TYtUMBJiRA — End Tribalism in Politics (@EndTribalism) January 17, 2025 Of course, if there had been a Republican candidate with even a small fraction of the number of deranged TikTok videos posted as Schlossberg one suspects Svirnovskiy, as a loyal Politico reporter, would have been all over it in detail. Instead he just completely ignored the deranged elephant in the room. As to exiting Jerry Nadler, here is his observation about Schlossberg's supposed achievements as told to CNN's Kate Bolduan on September 4: "Well, there's nothing particularly good or bad about a Kennedy holding my seat. But the Kennedy, unlike Schlossberg, should be something with a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment, and he doesn't have one. And so, I don't think he's going to be a candidate in the end, and he certainly is not going to be a major candidate."
