In August, Project 2025 Was 47% Complete

As of August 5th, 2025, Project 2025 was already 47% complete. Now that the psychological operation known as the “assassination of Charile Kirk” has occurred, where is this plan now? It’s safe to say, it’s rolling forward faster and with more intent, but how close are we to a full-blown theocracy under Christian Nationalism? Project …

5 Red Clay Strays Songs That You Could Very Well Hear In Church

One could argue that the Red Clay Strays are one heck of a worship team The southern rock and country band, which rocketed into the mainstream around 2023, describe themselves as not as a Christian band, but a band full of Christians. Their faith and outspokenness about the Lord is often intertwined with their music, and really shined through in their sophomore album Made By These Moments. Which makes sense… if you are band full of Christians and you put together an album that’s about the highs and lows of life, God is going to be working within those moments. I was fortunate enough to see the talented band from Mobile, Alabama at their first ever headlining concert at Red Rocks not too long ago, and there were many times throughout their performance that the stone stair seating at the iconic venue briefly transformed into church pews. They were really taking the crowd to church that night, and they take pride in doing so every time they get up on stage. Which got me thinking, “What are some Red Clay Strays songs that you wouldn’t be surprised to hear in church?” The label of “Gospel music” covers a lot of ground, and at the basis of things, it’s just songs that glorify and praise the Lord. The Red Clay Strays have plenty of those, so without further ado, here are five songs by the group that could very easily be included in a worship team’s set. 5. “Devil In My Ear” “I try to push ’em all awayBut those thoughts, they stick aroundThriving on my pain and they keep bringing me downI pray to God for peace of mind, for the gloom to disappearI can’t find a cause to live with the devil in my ear” 4. “Sunshine” “I admit at times I’ve been unfaithfulTimes where all I do is worry and doubtThat’s when my God comes like warmin’ rays of summerMeltin’ all my worries and my insecurityAnd givin’ me the strength I’ve been without” 3. “On My Knees” “I’m gonna fallDown on my kneesAnd thank the LordFor bringing me peaceI’ll lift my handsIn his companyFor you know I am gratefulFor what He has done for me” 2. “Will The Lord Remember Me” “Will the Lord remember me when I am called to go?When I have crossed death’s chilly seaWill He, His love there show?Oh, yes (oh, yes), He heard my feeble cry (ooh)From bondage set me free (set me free)And when I reach those Pearly Gates, He will remember me” 1. “God Does” “Wherever I’m lackingIt’s he who makes me wholeShining through the darknessAnd cleaning out my soul While I’m fighting daily battlesOn him, I can dependWhen I open up my heartAnd let him in” How about a bonus one? This song hasn’t officially been released by the Red Clay Strays, but it’ll soon and likely find a home on their next record. It’s called “Revival,” and it would easily fit into this list (I’d probably slot it at 2 or 3). But since it’s yet to be released, and the Red Clay Strays have only been playing it while they are out on their “Get Right Tour,” it can’t officially make the list of songs of theirs that could very well be played by a worship team at church. Still deserves a shout out in this story though: @whiskeyriff Need this one ASAP. @The Red Clay Strays // whiskeyriff.com #whiskeyriff #redrocks #redclaystrays ♬ original sound – Whiskey Riff The post 5 Red Clay Strays Songs That You Could Very Well Hear In Church first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Waylon Jennings Once Walked Out On ‘The Late Late Show’ Before His Interview Because Another Guest Was Cutting Into His Time

Waylon Jennings had no problem walking out when his patience was tested. If something turned south, Waylon was often known to just walk away, leaving stunned bystanders and producers in his wake. Frankly, you’ve got to respect the “give-no-f–ks” attitude of the man…especially when you compare it to today’s country artists. In 1970, Jennings famously walked out of the CMA Awards after being scheduled to perform his hit, “Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line.” Producers wanted him to cut down his performance, and he didn’t take kindly to the request. He recalled: “One year I’d stormed out of the awards and didn’t mind telling anyone who would listen why. It was Kris Kristofferson’s night… he was a shoo-in for several categories. I had been scheduled to perform ‘Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line.’ They said they were strapped for time, and they wanted me to cut the song to one verse and chorus. I said, ‘Why don’t I just dance across the stage and grin? Maybe do one line. That’ll give you a lot of time.’ They told me to not get smart. Either I did it or I got out. They said, ‘We don’t need you.’ I decided that was true, and I left.” And he also walked out of the massive group recording of “We Are The World” in 1985, but that’s another long story… But those weren’t the only times that Waylon had enough and decided to bail. In 1998, Waylon was scheduled to be interviewed by talk show host, Tom Snyder. According to publicists, Waylon only agreed to come on The Late Late Show if he was the only guest. But the show started with an interview with Dr. Laura – and according to his wife Jessi Colter, Waylon wasn’t happy about it: “He’s sitting there watching Dr. Laura and Tom talk. ‘In 20 minutes,’ he says, ‘we’re leaving.'” Honestly, I can’t say I blame Waylon for getting annoyed as he watched the segment with Dr. Laura. I watched part of the segment, and most of it is just them taking calls from viewers asking for personal advice. If you really want to learn about life, talk to Waylon Jennings about the stuff he’s been through, not some radio host with a talk show. But anyway… Colter recalled Waylon watching the interview backstage, as Waylon just got more and more annoyed: “Somebody came over and said, “It’s not gonna be very long, just a few minutes.’ So we sat there. At about 35 minutes, he said, ‘Call the car.’ And Waylon Jennings walks out on Tom Snyder.” Don’t mess with Waylon. This walk-out left host Tom Snyder stunned with over 15 minutes of television time to fill by himself. And when the show went live after Waylon’s exit, Snyder was left tripping over words. He told the live audience: “Waylon Jennings walked out of here about 5 or 10 minutes ago. He is not here… I have never had anybody leave before they came on…The guy just got on the elevator and left.” Willie Nelson recalled the event, and how it became such a legendary moment at the time, and even still today: “Had it not happened it would’ve just been another television show that Waylon did, but since it did everybody talks about it.” Waylon Jennings, folks… he didn’t play games. Ol’ Tom learned that the hard way. Treaty Oak Revival Frontman, Sam Canty, Takes A Full Beer To The Face, & Barely Misses A Note, During “No Vacancy”

These days, it seems like country concerts have been getting more and more rowdy by the day. From Braxton Keith ending a concert after getting a beer thrown at him last month to artists such as Morgan Wallen getting grabbed by fans during walkouts and Megan Moroney getting objects thrown at her, concert etiquette has been seemingly at an all-time low. An interesting case in the ongoing concert etiquette debate is undoubtedly Treaty Oak Revival. In case you’re somehow not familiar with the West Texas band, they’ve all but flown up the ranks in the country-rock scene over the past few years. Backed by their patented southern grunge sound, Treaty Oak has scored major hits with the certified-platinum, “Missed Call,” as well as certified-gold hits like “Ode To Bourbon,” “In Between” and “I’m The Worst.” Though the music itself is already good enough to turn heads, it’s their live shows that have truly moved the needle for them. Simply put, Treaty Oak Revival concerts are an experience. Beyond the incredible stage presence of frontman, Sam Canty, the killer guitar solos from Jeremiah Vanley and, of course, their stellar harmonies on each and every song, Treaty Oak puts on concerts that feel more like a shot of adrenaline rather than a standard show. Their shows are so high-energy, in fact, that they’ve had to limit all the beer-throwing shenanigans that have been so prominent to one single song, their 2021 track, “Boomtown,” which has now become a tradition at every concert. @megann420 Hell of a concert Almost 3 hours in traffic was wack but we made it #treatyoakrevival #easlysc #districtparksc #boomtown ♬ Boomtown – Treaty Oak Revival Though the limiting of beer-throwing to “Boomtown” has worked fairly well lately (and has resulted in some incredible clips from attendees’ POVs), this weekend in South Carolina proved not to be as effective. After performing the aforementioned track just two songs before, Canty and company launched into “No Vacancy,” the title track of their debut album. As Canty begins singing the chorus, a full, or near-full, beer can is seen being launched (whoever threw that seriously had some velocity on it) into the frame from the crowd. The can smacked Canty right in the face, knocking the mic off its stand. Clearly taken aback by the beer hitting him directly in the face and potentially breaking his nose, he’d take a second to retrieve the microphone before launching directly back into the chorus, barely missing a beat. One fan who was there shared a picture in the comments and you can clearly see the gash on Canty’s right cheek, just underneath his eye. After the song, he reportedly told the crowd that something to the effect of “it’s been a while” since he was hit in the face with a beer, and he more or less laughed it off. Second slide: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Treaty Oak Revival (@treatyoakrevival) Of course, it’s utterly ridiculous for a fan not only to launch a full beer on the stage but also directly at any of the band members. Taking to the comment section, fans let their displeasure be known. “I respect that man’s patience. I couldn’t let that one slide.” “Nah because why didn’t he address that it’s so disrespectful” “I will never understand why people think that’s okay, even if some say they created that atmosphere… Still not a cool thing to do.” “Y’all got no respect for the people around you” “People need to grow the f*ck up and have some respect.” “I’ll never understand this BS” “That is ridiculous, wth is wrong with people!” Look, I get the fact that Treaty Oak themselves encourage rowdy behavior throughout their shows. And it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. However, there’s a huge difference between soaking a section of a crowd with beer, or tossing plastic cups, and launching a full beer directly at the singer’s face. There’s a fine line between rowdy and downright stupid, and this one is certainly stupid. Thankfully for Canty, he didn’t get seriously injured. Treaty Oak even commented on the video saying “Throw some dirt on it,” so while it certainly hurt, it seems like some of the fans were angrier than Canty was.
