John Mayer Calls Playing With Zach Bryan “A Real Honor,” Praises Country Music Star’s Record-Breaking Concert

John Mayer letting the world know that he was grateful to play a part in Zach Bryan’s record-breaking show at Michigan Stadium. This past weekend was Bryan’s highly anticipated “Big House” show, and boy did it deliver. The country music star – along with John Mayer, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone – set a new record for largest ticketed concert attendance in U.S. history. There were 112,000 fans in the stands of the University of Michigan’s Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, which in case you didn’t know, is the largest stadium in America (and third largest in the world). Zach Bryan sold out the stadium in a matter of hours when the show was announced. It was a legitimate, record-setting performance, and a momentous occasion for Zach Bryan in his career, and an artist that Zach brought along for the show – John Mayer – was very appreciative that the “Pink Skies” singer gave him the opportunity to be a part of it. Mayer took to his social media a couple of days after the show and celebrated the event, gave praise to what Bryan has been able to accomplish in his young career, and called sharing the stage with him for the record-breaking concert an honor: “This weekend, I took part in the largest ticketed event in U.S. concert history, thanks to Zach Bryan. He set a new attendance record at Ann Arbor’s Michigan Stadium. What he’s accomplished is truly phenomenal, and to share the bill with him was a real honor.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by John Mayer (@johnmayer) Pretty high praise from the great John Mayer. Zach even took time to reply in the comments, saying: “Couldn’t have done it without you John! We love ya!” The “Waiting On The World To Change” singer obviously played an opening set for Bryan, but the two artists did share the stage during Zach’s headlining set, and even tried out a Grateful Dead cover: “Friend of the Devil.” Mayer, who still plays with Dead & Company (a still-existing iteration of the Grateful Dead), was comfortable handling the cover. Bryan, on the other hand, struggled to nail the 1970 song, as you can see in the post below: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Whiskey Riff (@whiskeyriff) All in all, it was a night to remember for both Zach Bryan and John Mayer. And it’s been cool to see the 46-year-old artist become a bit of a mentor and colleague of the country music superstar. You can tell there’s a lot of respect between John and Zach, and the social media post about the Michigan show wasn’t the first time Mayer has shared kind words about Zach Bryan. During Bryan’s Quittin’ Time Tour, Mayer joined him on stage at the country artist’s Los Angeles show, and afterwards, John was simply blown away by the experience and the connection to the fans that Zach boasts: “It was one of the most incredible things I’ve seen in years. This guy and his band have the greatest camaraderie offstage, and therefore on stage. The crowd goes nuts. I’ve never seen a band change the space around them in an arena. An arena is sorta like, ‘Here, you’re using our room, do your thing in our room.’ Zach Bryan and his band are like, ‘We’re gonna take your room and we’re gonna have a hoedown in it, thank you very much.’ He’s cracked some code that I have been waiting for someone to crack. He’s tapped into a thing with people that should give everyone hope.” And it certainly seems like John Mayer has tried to tap into some of that hope himself, since he’s played with Zach Bryan multiple times since then, and even collaborated on a song with the “Something in the Orange” singer on his 2024 Great American Bar Scene album. Make sure to check it out if you haven’t already: “Better Days” The post John Mayer Calls Playing With Zach Bryan “A Real Honor,” Praises Country Music Star’s Record-Breaking Concert first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

“Fully Committed” – Whiskey Myers Fans Go Viral Mimicking The Backup Singers’ Dance Moves All Night

Stars of the show. Country fans are some of the best in the game. Not only (in my humble opinion) do I think that we are some of the nicest folks (for the most part), but we also know how to have a good time. Most of the time at country concerts, you can find fans two-stepping, belting out the words to the songs, making friends in the crowd, or trying to help someone get their sign spotted. And if all else fails, there are always good people watching at country concerts. During a recent Whiskey Myers show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three fans are going viral for their concert dance moves. Whiskey Myers is a band that gets the crowd moving during their live shows. Their full band knows how to rock and are stellar on their own, but their sound is taken up a notch when accompanied by their backup singers. The East Texas southern rockers typically have three women on stage with them who assist frontman Cody Canada with harmonies throughout the song, and just like the swagger all the men of Whiskey Myers possess, these women know how to groove, too. Throughout all the songs, this trio of women steps in sync, performing various dance moves throughout each song. Well, their moves inspired a trio of men in the crowd and quickly became the blueprint of how they would groove during the concert. As the women moved into a new movement, the men in the crowd would catch on to it and mimic every move they made on stage from the crowd. The group is committed to nailing these dance moves, and it’s hilariously entertaining. As Cody Cannon lets it rip on the harmonica during “John Wayne,” this group from the crowd is moving from side to side snapping on beat, and performing other various moves that the backup dancers lay down during the tune. A few of those moves look a little stiff, but I’m sure that could be fixed with a little more practice. Legendary. If Whiskey Myers is ever on the hunt for another set of backup singers and dancers, these guys just delivered a great audition tape with this performance. Check it out. @itsmekp2 Fully committed. Yes queens. #WhiskeyMyers @whiskeymyers ♬ original sound – KP The creator who shared this video was not the only one in the crowd loving this group’s dedication to learning the dance moves during the show. Many others quickly commented, sharing that they had been watching this group all night as well. Whiskey Myers needs to get these guys on stage with them soon. Check out some of my favorite comments. “OMG, we watched these guys half the night. Hilarious.” “They were committed all night! Lol” “They seem like some real cool dudes. I wanna be friends with them.” “They had me and my dad CRACKING UP.” “I recorded them too. Legends.” “If my man ain’t like this, I don’t want one.” “Loved watching their commitment to the performance.” “Omg this is awesome!!! Well done, guys.. lol.” “This is freaking hilarious.” “I got a video of them tooo. They were so fun to watch.” “Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Chipettes, by the way.” “Those guys killed it!” Before you go, check out the stellar moves from Whiskey Myers and their supporting vocals. This group does not miss. The post “Fully Committed” – Whiskey Myers Fans Go Viral Mimicking The Backup Singers’ Dance Moves All Night first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Those Close To Keith Urban Reportedly Felt Like Separation From Nicole Kidman Was “Inevitable”

Not a secret. Yesterday, the internet was shocked to learn that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman had separated after 19 years of marriage. TMZ broke the news, reporting that the two have been living apart since the beginning of summer when Keith moved out. Sources tell the news outlet that Nicole has been taking care of their two children and is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.” The source added that Kidman was trying her hardest to save the marriage, making Urban’s decision to move out one-sided. The source added: “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.” People Magazine now reports that a source shared with them that the news of their separation “really hasn’t been a secret,” also doubling down on the TMZ information that the famed country singer and actress had “been living separately for a while now.” The most shocking information that this source revealed to People was that those in Keith’s camp felt that this had been a long time coming. “People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,”  The news is even more shocking, given that Kidman posted an image of her and Urban cuddled up next to each other for their anniversary. It really is a reminder to never fully believe the picture people paint on social media… View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nicole Kidman (@nicolekidman) Since news of their separation broke yesterday, September 29, the internet has been in shock, feeling heartbroken that the couple who seemed to defy all odds in Hollywood are now facing divorce. nicole kidman & keith urban divorcing after 19 years of marriage…….this is australia’s 9/11 — goth in colour (@thebratzangel) September 29, 2025 “Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban separated” pic.twitter.com/tVgveK2zVU — Gibson Johns (@gibsonoma) September 29, 2025 i’m generally so upset about nicole kidman and keith urban you’d think it’s my parents getting divorced — mads. (@phonyrappers) September 29, 2025 Keith Urban is the one who decided to end things with Nicole Kidman? Why are men still allowed to marry those gorgeous creatures? pic.twitter.com/k2WuILGcY8 — Mar (@_martremblay) September 29, 2025 In light of this news, a clip of Urban giving a tearful speech to his wife from the 2024 AFI Life Achievement Award Gala, where Kidman was the honoree, has reemerged, breaking fans’ hearts even further. Shortly after the two tied the knot in 2006, they faced challenges that often lead couples to divorce. Just four months into their marriage, Keith said his addictions, which he admittedly had done “nothing about” at that point, became too much to handle, and he found himself in rehab. Of course, he wasn’t sure how they would get through that: “Blew our marriage to smithereens. I went into the Betty Ford Center for three months, four months into a marriage, I’m in rehab for three months. I had no idea what was going to happen to us. And if you want to see what love in action really looks like, give that a whirl. Nic pushed through every negative voice, I’m sure even some of her own, and she chose love. And here we are tonight, 18 years later.” He continued to gush about what a fantastic person Nicole is, and how much he loves being around her: “That’s the thing about Nic. She loves, and she loves life. I’ve actually never met anyone who has such a passion for being alive. She’s got a bit of ready, fire, aim about her. Thank God, because it’s fun as hell to be around, because anything can happen at any moment. She’s endlessly curious, she dives in headfirst and she follows with little to no thinking at all of the consequences. Perfect. It’s so pure in all the right ways, and she’s also preserved her inner little girl beautifully, admirably. Consequently, Nic’s not jaded, she’s not cynical, she’s definitely not complacent, and she’s not afraid to be afraid. I mean that professional and personally.” He keeps going on about Nicole Kidman, raving about how she’s an incredible communicator with family and praising her for her hard work ethic, noting that when they first met, she made it very clear to him that she did not need a man to take care of her. Urban, then, acknowledged that while he knew she did not need someone to take care of her, he wanted to prove to her that she didn’t have to do everything on her own. He closed it by saying how “madly in love” he’s been with her for nearly two decades: “She has a capacity to love like no one I’ve ever met, and I know tonight is all about her body of work so far, so far, baby. But next year will be 20 years that I’ve been madly in love with you. Congratulations, baby girl. I love you.” Talk about a knife to the heart… It is heartbreaking to think a love that appeared so unbreakable from the outside still had its cracks, leading to their separation. While I hope this does not mean they are getting divorced and somehow find a way back to each other, realistically, Urban and Kidman live hectic lives, and if it’s not meant to be, at least they had an incredible marriage that most people dream of. The love they shared for each other was evident to the world, and it resulted in two beautiful daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. That alone should be celebrated.
