Pfizer has paused the clinical trial of an experimental gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy after a young boy died. The patient received the investigational gene therapy, fordadistrogene movaparvovec, in early 2023,” it continued. “Initial dosing for the placebo-controlled, randomized Phase 3 CIFFREO trial, which utilizes a crossover trial design, was also completed in 2023. We have decided to pause dosing associated with the crossover portion of CIFFREO, and we are working with regulators and the independent external Data Monitoring Committee as we learn more about this event. Other than this pause in dosing, trial activities are continuing as scheduled,” it continued. In light of the patient death, Pfizer has paused dosing associated with the crossover portion of CIFFREO. The pharma is also working with regulators and an independent external data monitoring committee as more information becomes available. Besides the halt to CIFFREO dosing, trials will continue as scheduled. Other ongoing trials evaluating the gene therapy have already finished the dosing phase. “The safety and well-being of the patients in our clinical trials remains our top priority, and we are committed to sharing more information with the medical and patient community as soon as we can,” Pfizer wrote in the letter. “We are also aware that many in the patient community are hopeful about the potential benefit of fordadistrogene movaparvovec for the treatment of DMD, and we will continue to collect data from our trials to evaluate its ability to address this disease.” The DAYLIGHT study is assessing the safety and dystrophin expression of fordadistrogene movaparvovec and has a primary completion date set for the end of this year, according to ClinicalTrials.gov. Back in October 2023, Pfizer Chief Scientific Officer and President of R&D Mikael Dolsten, M.D., Ph.D., called the investigational gene therapy “the main game in town” on a quarterly earnings call. The commentary came directly after a confirmatory trial for Sarepta Therapeutics’ DMD candidate Elevidys failed to hit the primary goal of a pivotal study.

A Boeing 767 cargo plane, operated by FedEx Airlines, made a dramatic landing at Istanbul Airport when its front landing gear failed to open. “Fedex Express Flight 6268, a Boeing 767, was flying from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Istanbul Airport when it informed the Turkish traffic control tower that its landing gear failed to open. Airport rescue and fire teams prepared the runway and the tower instructed the plane’s crew to proceed with landing,” FOX Business stated. The airplane managed to stay on the runway and avoid casualties. The Turkish Transport Ministry said no one was injured in the incident. They were not used during the landing as the body of the plane made contact with the runway. The aircraft managed to remain on the runway during the landing. The runway was temporarily closed to air traffic, but traffic on other runways continued without any interruption, said airport operator IGA, Reuters reported. Authorities are investigating the incident, a Turkish Transport Ministry official said. It gave no reason for the failure. The Boeing 767 is a nearly 10-year-old freighter. It is one of the most common cargo planes and uses a model dating back to the 1980s. FedEX said in a statement to Reuters that it was coordinating with the investigation and would “provide additional information as it is available.” WATCH: From The Guardian: The incident comes at a time when Boeing’s safety record is under intense scrutiny, after a string of crises and safety issues. Boeing on Tuesday said it had informed regulators about possible failures to carry out mandatory safety inspections on its 787 Dreamliner planes. It followed separate allegations by a whistleblowing engineer that Boeing took shortcuts to reduce production bottlenecks while making the 787. The US manufacturer pledged this year to turn around its safety culture after a door panel blew out of an Alaska Airlines 737 Max plane in mid-air in January. Boeing had been trying to ramp up production of the 737 Max, its bestselling model, to move beyond the crisis triggered by two deadly crashes in 2018 and 2019. 737 Max planes were grounded worldwide for the best part of two years.

Yesterday we brought you this very bizarre and disturbing story of a Pastor who stood up, preached an entire sermon, joked about how handsome and charming he was, and then at the very end casually mentions his wife is dead by suicide gunshot to the head. Yes, it’s that strange. First, I said this just feels really wrong.  Something is "off".  This is not a normal way to handle this. I followed that up by saying everyone responds to tragedy and shock and grief differently and I said maybe this guy is just in a tragedy-induced haze and he's responding strangely.  That would not be completely unusual. Ok, with that background I now bring you the shocking new update as the 911 call has now been released and it does seem to indicate a troubling suicide. Again, I will couch this with the same caution I gave you yesterday. We still don't know all the details here. So I'm just giving you what I have.  It's likely even more information will continue to come out. Police have also released surveillance footage of Mica purchasing a gun before she took her life in North Carolina. Mica's family is demanding further answers as they claim Mica was abused and harassed by Pastor Miller. Here is the order of events laid out by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office: 11:00 am: Miller seen on her ring camera at her house in Myrtle Beach, SC. 11:38 am: Miller seen leaving the residence. 12:12 pm: Miller seen at pawn show in Myrtle Beach, SC. 12:34 pm: Miller seen leaving the pawn shop after purchasing a gun. 1:27 pm​: Miller’s black Honda Accord is observed arriving at 41 Grocery and Grill. 2:54 pm: Miller called Robeson County from Lumber River State Park. Devastating. One more piece of information before I wrap this up. According to Yahoo News, the family of Mica is still pushing back on this saying there is no way she would ever take her own life: The New York Post wrote about the death, which is being investigated by the Robeson (North Carolina) County Sheriff’s Office and has been the topic of social media posts from church and non-church members, many using #justiceforMica. There were two memorials held for Mica Miller on May 5, one at Solid Rock Church and another along the beach in North Myrtle Beach led by Mica Miller’s family. Chief Deputy Damien McLean with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Friday that the case is under investigation, adding that anytime there is a death the department does an investigation. He would not provide information about the case. Her death was announced to the church congregation by her husband during a sermon on April 28 - a day after Mica Miller was found dead. Miller told the church her death was self-induced and details of her memorial service on May 5, 2024. The video of that sermon has since been deleted from YouTube and the church’s website. Mica Miller’s family have posted on social media regarding her death, alluding to false information and abuse that Mica had suffered. It is unclear what the abuse was. Mica Miller too posted on her Facebook about abuse and leaving a dangerous situation with the hashtag, “abuseawareness.” Mica Miller’s mother posted on the Facebook page Voices in the Wilderness that her daughter had “a no contact order and a divorce was filed just days before this tragedy.” Mica Miller’s death in North Carolina is being investigated by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department. Husband says wife was battling mental illness John-Paul Miller confirmed that his wife had filed for divorce. He was notified by police of his wife’s death late April 27. He was told that Mica had purchased a gun and drove two hours to Lumber River State Park in Lumberton, North Carolina, where she was found in her vehicle by a kayaker, Miller said May 3, 2024. Miller described his wife’s battle with mental illness, adding that this wasn’t the first time she tried to take her own life. Mica Miller has been open about her mental health struggles, posting videos about it on social media and offering testimonies at her church. She had been in the hospital in February, one of many times Mica had been placed there during their marriage, Miller said. “That was just our life,” Miller said. Miller described his wife as caring with a great love for the church. “She did everything,” Miller said. Mica Miller, who would sit in the front row, was the leader for worship, youth and women’s ministry as well as operating as her husband’s personal assistant and taking care of other problems that people may have, Miller said. Miller said he is glad that the sheriff’s department is investigating his wife’s death. “I want them to find out every detail,” Miller said. “I want to know everything, every detail.” Family has seen problems before This isn’t the first time the Miller family has been placed in the national media spotlight. In 2014, John-Paul Miller’s father, Reginald Wayne Miller, who founded the Cathedral Bible College, pleaded guilty in federal court to felony charges related to his treatment of international students who came to the Myrtle Beach college to earn degrees in theology, ministry and other Christian studies. The senior Miller also was embroiled in controversy over allegations of sexual improprieties that forced him to move his ministry from Florence to Myrtle Beach. Miller once led one of South Carolina’s largest charismatic churches and was a leading spokesman for the movement, which emphasizes speaking in tongues, prophecy and faith healing. Does that strike anyone else as odd? Again, perhaps he is perfectly innocent and everyone processes through grief and shock differently. But this has my Spidey Sense tingling.... And I know how to do my research. So let's start with this: Now let's unpack all the lies the MSM has been telling you about Ivermectin. You would assume based on all the MSM propaganda that Ivermectin is only approved for Horses and not Humans. The only problem with that? It's not true. Not even close. Here's the real truth: Yes folks, that is a statement taken from PolitiFact's very own fact-checking page about Ivermectin. But what they do with their "Face Check" is so insidious.... Here's how PolitiFact tries to claim that the TRUE statement is still somehow false, watch these mental gymnastics: This post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.) It is true that ivermectin was approved by the Food and Drug Administration that year — but not to treat the coronavirus. The drug was approved for strongyloidiasis, a disease caused by a roundworm, and onchocerciasis, or river blindness, which is caused by a parasitic worm. The drug was approved for humans under the brand name Stromectol, National Geographic reported, and since then it’s been recognized as a safe treatment for several tropical diseases caused by parasites. In 2015, two scientists even won a Nobel Prize for their discovery of ivermectin and its use to treat diseases caused by parasites. But unlike, say, river blindness, COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus, not by parasites. And as PolitiFact recently reported in a story exploring ivermectin, there’s no conclusive evidence that ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. The lying and the deception is just so evil, really makes me angry. If you gave me a full year, I couldn't come up with all the twists and turns these people take to turn the TRUTH into a lie. It's sickening. Oh, and now 4 years later we have been 100% vindicated! Have you seen this? BREAKING: FDA Loses The War on Ivermectin! But we're just getting started. Next come the scare tactics and VERY misleading headlines. Like this article from WIVB Channel 4 News: After a recent resurgence in several states, health officials are warning residents to be aware of a dangerous of an unauthorized “treatment” for COVID-19 — often being taken with dangerous consequences. It’s called ivermectin and it’s used to treat and prevent parasites in animals, the Food and Drug Administration explains. The tablets are not FDA approved for treatment of COVID-19 in humans and isn’t even an anti-viral drug — meaning it has no impact on the coronavirus. And because the large-concentration tablets are intended for large animals, these can be treacherous for humans. In addition to not being authorized for treatment, there’s no evidence ivermectin treats COVID-19. “There’s a lot of misinformation around, and you may have heard that it’s okay to take large doses of ivermectin. That is wrong.” FDA The FDA and several state officials say they’ve seen an uptick in calamitous use of the drugs, particularly tablets used to treat parasitic worms in horses. While ivermectin is approved for humans to treat certain skin conditions (rosacea) and certain external parasites like head lice, the FDA warns this ivermectin is different than the one used in animals. On Friday, the Mississippi Department of Health was forced to send out a warning to residents about the dangers of the drug after several poisonings. The Mississippi Poison Control Center said at least 70% of recent ivermectin-related calls are tied to people taking livestock or animal formulations they bought a livestock supply stores or through online markets. Eighty-five percent of callers had mild symptoms — these include rash, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain — but one person needed evaluation because of how much they’d taken. More severe dangers of ivermectin ingestion include neurologic disorders, seizures, coma and death. Use of ivermectin should only be taken if prescribed by a doctor for an FDA-approved use. Regardless of the usage and prescription, the FDA warns ivermectin overdose is still possible. Possible interaction with other medications is also a possibility. I highlighted the key parts. A 70% SURGE in Ivermectin Poison Center calls sounds like a lot doesn't it? NPR even reports a 245% surge!  Oh my! Sounds bad until you realize according to NPR that the 245% surge is going from 133 calls to 459 calls....NATIONWIDE! According to the National Poison Data System (NPDS), which collects information from the nation's 55 poison control centers, there was a 245% jump in reported exposure cases from July to August — from 133 to 459. Yes folks, out of 333 MILLION people, there were 459 calls to poison centers. So 0.00000137% of the population. And those are just calls. According to the bold part of the Channel 4 article, 85% of those people who called or had symptoms had MILD symptoms like a rash. The horror! According to the article, only ONE person needed a further evaluation. But is this what you hear in the MSM? No. If you listed only to the MSM fear-porn, you'd think we had a crisis of Ivermectin deaths. The truth is the polar opposite. Anyone else REALLY tired of being lied to? It's why I'm here. I will continue to shout the truth from the rooftops! But I'm not done yet. Did you know that Ivermectin has actually been listed even by the corrupt WHO as one of the most "essential medicines" out there? It's true, you can read it right here until they take it down. But I'm not done yet! Let's cut right to the chase and go to a medical journal to see the true toxicity data on Ivermectin in humans. Seems like something JOURNALISTS should do, don't you think? Let's go to INCHEM.org, the WHO's own website for "Internationally Peer Reviewed Chemical Safety Information". They lay it out in black and white and even a non-medical person like me can understand it. Now let's go down to Section 7.2 of their report which is about Toxicity in Humans: I'm going to bold the key part: 7.2 Toxicity 7.2.1 Human data 7.2.1.1 Adults Amounts approaching the therapeutic doses in animals (100 to 200 ðg/kg bodyweight) are not hazardous to humans. Ingestions of large quantities (10 to 100 times the animal therapeutic dosage) may produce symptoms resembling those observed in animal toxicology studies at high toxic levels. An adult female accidentally self-injected a small quantity (approximately 200 ðg/kg) subcutaneously. Twelve hours later she experienced colicky pain with nausea but recovered within 12 hours (MSD, 1988). Clinical studies of oral ivermectin given in doses from 2 to 200 ðg/kg (maximum 12 mg) have shown a pattern of adverse experiences that included only one serious event (transient stupor). The remaining adverse experiences were considered not serious and were chiefly of the type expected based on the characteristics of the underlying disease and the responses seen after treatment with other microfilaricidal drugs, except for reports of "depression" (not psychiatrically tested) in four patients in open studies (MSD, 1988). 7.2.1.2 Children A 16-month-old boy weighing 15 kg ingested approximately 100 to 130 mg of ivermectin (as an injectable solution). Ten hours post-ingestion he had mydriasis in one pupil, with frequent vomiting, pallor, 35°C temperature, tachycardia, somnolence and variable blood pressure. He developed urticaria the following day, and had recovered after three days (MSD, 1988). Let's start with the very first line: even if you take the ANIMAL dosage, it is "not hazardous to humans". I received a really interesting email from a reader the other day that I have to tell you about. Peter C. Gøtzsche, writing for the Brownstone Institute, looked at a consortium of research on this subject. His findings point to serious problems with the legal drug industry as regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Believe it or not, legal drugs as approved by the FDA and prescribed by doctors are one of the top killers of Americans. This means that doctors are technically the leading cause of death in America, making them more dangerous than criminals. Keep in mind that the studies Gøtzsche looked at are all antiquated. There is simply not that much up-to-date information about this subject, likely because it would expose the drug industry as the death racket that it is. Most deaths listed as stemming from “natural” or “unknown” causes can actually be traced back to pharmaceutical poisoning, and especially pharmaceuticals that are prescribed for psychiatric ailments. “Even when young patients with schizophrenia suddenly drop dead, it is called natural death,” Gøtzsche writes. “But it is not natural to die young and it is well known that neuroleptics can cause lethal heart arrhythmias.” “Many people die from the drugs they take without raising any suspicion that it could be an adverse drug effect. Depression drugs kill many people, mainly among the elderly, because they can cause orthostatic hypotension, sedation, confusion and dizziness. The drugs double the risk of falls and hip fractures in a dose-dependent manner, and within one year after a hip fracture, about one-fifth of the patients will have died. As elderly people often fall anyway, it is not possible to know if such deaths are drug deaths.” Another common cause of death in America are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are sold over the counter at drug and grocery stores all across the country. “They have killed hundreds of thousands of people, mainly through heart attacks and bleeding stomach ulcers, but these deaths are unlikely to be coded as adverse drug reactions, as such deaths also occur in patients who do not take the drugs,” Gøtzsche adds. A 1998 meta-analysis based out of the U.S. estimated that at least 106,000 patients die every year in hospitals due to adverse effects from NSAIDs and other drugs. If you were in English class, they would say that was a command.” Ms. Honold described the statements as “merely quips.” “Can you answer the question, please? You would assume based on all the MSM propaganda that Ivermectin is only approved for Horses and not Humans. The only problem with that? It’s not true. Not even close. Here’s the real truth: Yes folks, that is a statement taken from PolitiFact’s very own fact-checking page about Ivermectin. But what they do with their “Face Check” is so insidious…. Here’s how PolitiFact tries to claim that the TRUE statement is still somehow false, watch these mental gymnastics: This post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.) It is true that ivermectin was approved by the Food and Drug Administration that year — but not to treat the coronavirus. The drug was approved for strongyloidiasis, a disease caused by a roundworm, and onchocerciasis, or river blindness, which is caused by a parasitic worm. The drug was approved for humans under the brand name Stromectol, National Geographic reported, and since then it’s been recognized as a safe treatment for several tropical diseases caused by parasites. In 2015, two scientists even won a Nobel Prize for their discovery of ivermectin and its use to treat diseases caused by parasites. But unlike, say, river blindness, COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus, not by parasites. And as PolitiFact recently reported in a story exploring ivermectin, there’s no conclusive evidence that ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. The lying and the deception is just so evil, really makes me angry. If you gave me a full year, I couldn’t come up with all the twists and turns these people take to turn the TRUTH into a lie. It’s sickening. But we’re just getting started. Next come the scare tactics and VERY misleading headlines. Like this article from WIVB Channel 4 News: After a recent resurgence in several states, health officials are warning residents to be aware of a dangerous of an unauthorized “treatment” for COVID-19 — often being taken with dangerous consequences. It’s called ivermectin and it’s used to treat and prevent parasites in animals, the Food and Drug Administration explains. The tablets are not FDA approved for treatment of COVID-19 in humans and isn’t even an anti-viral drug — meaning it has no impact on the coronavirus. And because the large-concentration tablets are intended for large animals, these can be treacherous for humans. In addition to not being authorized for treatment, there’s no evidence ivermectin treats COVID-19. “There’s a lot of misinformation around, and you may have heard that it’s okay to take large doses of ivermectin. That is wrong.” FDA The FDA and several state officials say they’ve seen an uptick in calamitous use of the drugs, particularly tablets used to treat parasitic worms in horses. While ivermectin is approved for humans to treat certain skin conditions (rosacea) and certain external parasites like head lice, the FDA warns this ivermectin is different than the one used in animals. On Friday, the Mississippi Department of Health was forced to send out a warning to residents about the dangers of the drug after several poisonings. The Mississippi Poison Control Center said at least 70% of recent ivermectin-related calls are tied to people taking livestock or animal formulations they bought a livestock supply stores or through online markets. Eighty-five percent of callers had mild symptoms — these include rash, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain — but one person needed evaluation because of how much they’d taken. More severe dangers of ivermectin ingestion include neurologic disorders, seizures, coma and death. Use of ivermectin should only be taken if prescribed by a doctor for an FDA-approved use. Regardless of the usage and prescription, the FDA warns ivermectin overdose is still possible. Possible interaction with other medications is also a possibility. I highlighted the key parts. A 70% SURGE in Ivermectin Poison Center calls sounds like a lot doesn’t it? NPR even reports a 245% surge!  Oh my! Sounds bad until you realize according to NPR that the 245% surge is going from 133 calls to 459 calls….NATIONWIDE! According to the National Poison Data System (NPDS), which collects information from the nation’s 55 poison control centers, there was a 245% jump in reported exposure cases from July to August — from 133 to 459. Yes folks, out of 333 MILLION people, there were 459 calls to poison centers. So 0.00000137% of the population. And those are just calls. According to the bold part of the Channel 4 article, 85% of those people who called or had symptoms had MILD symptoms like a rash. The horror! According to the article, only ONE person needed a further evaluation. But is this what you hear in the MSM? No. If you listed only to the MSM fear-porn, you’d think we had a crisis of Ivermectin deaths. The truth is the polar opposite. Anyone else REALLY tired of being lied to? It’s why I’m here. Scheindlin said the testimony was not relevant to the case and only shows that Stormy Daniels was trying to get Trump. The folly of District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution was further exposed when the notorious ex-porn star, Stormy Daniels, sashayed to the witness stand. Not unexpectedly, she offered a tutorial on her notorious vocation — sex. Her real name is Stephanie Clifford, but her nom de plume is what made her famous in the underworld of adult erotica. In court, she confirmed starring in "40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up." That may have been titillating, but was there really a point? Like most of her testimony, no. Let’s review. ... On the stand, Daniels told the jury a salacious tale of meeting Trump privately for dinner and having sex with him only once. Curiously, she now claims she blacked out. Is any of it the truth? It doesn’t matter. It’s utterly immaterial to the case. Moreover, Daniels has a nasty habit of peddling inconsistent narratives about the purported episode. At one point, she reversed course and recanted her signed statement repudiating the affair. Yet, on the stand she admitted faking her own signature. Adopting the mantle of an innocent, Daniels assured the jury that she didn’t care about the money; she only wanted to get her story about Trump out to the public. Really? Then why did she sell her story to Trump’s lawyer for a load of cash in exchange for remaining silent? That one statement alone from the mouth of the witness completely undermined any semblance of credibility. But that’s not all. Daniels confirmed that she instructed her manager to "get the story out and make some money!" It’s important to note that Daniels has multiple motives to lie. Beyond wanting to advance her career, cashing in and trying to justify the payola she pocketed in an apparent blackmail scheme, she lost her quixotic defamation lawsuit against Trump and was ordered by the courts to pay him more than half a million dollars in legal fees — a sum she still indignantly refuses to pay. Daniels responded by tweeting, "I will go to jail before I pay a penny." No objection here. Bragg’s team of unscrupulous prosecutors called this untrustworthy witness for only one purpose: to slime Trump. That’s obvious. Because none of what she had to say on the stand Tuesday has anything to do with the charges against Trump — charges that don’t even constitute crimes under the law. The indictment accuses Trump of falsifying business records. Forget that there was nothing false about them. They were legal payments in exchange for a legal document that was negotiated by two lawyers and booked as "legal expenses" because that is what they were. The Trump Organization accountant who handled it corroborated it when he testified on Monday. So, how in the world does Daniels fit in to this sordid mess? She doesn’t. She was never privy to the internal accounting of the payments she received from Trump’s then-attorney, Michael Cohen. She adds nothing to the case except to smear him with humiliating stories about her supposed transient encounter. Trump, the presumed 2024 GOP presidential nominee, is facing 34 counts of falsifying business records relating to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, during Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. The criminal case brought on by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, alleges that Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 to keep her silent about a rumored affair she had with Trump in 2006, which the former president denies. Trump then allegedly reimbursed Cohen and concealed it as legal expenses.Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges and claimed the case is politically motivated. In an opinion piece published by The Hill on Saturday, Turley mainly focused on discrediting Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, Bragg's star witness who turned critical of Trump after spending time in prison for eight criminal charges, including campaign finance violations related to the alleged hush money scheme involving Daniels.

From the American Principles Project: When children suffer from gender dysphoria, the Left insists on pushing an “affirmation only” approach, preventing anyone – parents, teachers, doctors, therapists, etc. – from doing their job and providing the child with the best standard of care. Instead of taking the time to understand the problem and identify underlying issues and other contributing mental health conditions, these ideologues masquerading as healthcare professionals push puberty-blocking drugs and cross-sex hormones, treatments that will effectively sterilize children, and “gender-affirming surgery,” which is really just a euphemism for cosmetic mutilation. Parents are told that if they offer any resistance, even simply waiting a few months to see if things improve, they are condemning their child to death – that crippling depression and even suicide will be inevitable. This is not healthcare and must not be treated as such. The average American citizen should not be obliged to foot the bill for these unscientific, experimental, and abusive treatments on anyone – but especially not on children who cannot even attend an R-rated movie, let alone consent to a permanently scarring and irreversible decision which will determine their entire future, including whether they can have kids. The Protect Children’s Innocence Act will charge anyone who knowingly performs “gender-affirming care” – including the administering of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones – with a class C felony. It will prohibit the federal taxpayer funding of these procedures, forbid institutions of higher education from providing instructions on such procedures, and prevent aliens who have performed such procedures from receiving a visa. If they already have a visa, they will be eligible for deportation. It is designed to protect children from abusive experimental procedures from every angle. H.R.1399, introduced in the House of Representatives March 7, 2023, reads: This bill places restrictions on the provision of gender affirming care. Gender affirming care includes performing surgery, administering medication, or performing other procedures for the purpose of changing the body of an individual to correspond to a sex that differs from the individual's biological sex. Specifically, the bill makes it a felony to perform any gender affirming care on a minor and it permits a minor on whom such care is performed to bring a civil action against each individual who provided the care. Additionally, the bill prohibits the use of federal funds for gender affirming care or for health insurance that covers such care. Such care may not be provided in a federal health care facility or by a federal employee. The bill also prohibits qualified health plans from including coverage for gender affirming care. Further, plans that include coverage for such care are not eligible for federal subsidies. Finally, the bill prohibits institutions of higher education from offering instruction in gender affirming care. It also makes any non-U.S. national (alien under federal law) who performs gender affirming care on a minor deportable and inadmissible to the United States. The restrictions under this bill do not apply to the provision of care under certain circumstances such as when an individual does not have normal sex chromosome structure, sex steroid hormone production, or sex steroid hormone action. Daily Caller explained how some states are taking action to protect children from being exposed to drag shows: As concerns rise over explicit drag events marketed to and performed for children, some states are taking action to prohibit underage kids from attending these shows. In May, Montana became the first state to ban drag shows from public spaces and being performing in front of children. “Fortunately, here in Montana, we have a governor who recognizes that drag performers shouldn’t be reading books and grooming children at locations and facilities that receive public funding,” the bill’s Republican sponsor, state Rep. Mitchel Braxton, said. Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill in May which would punish businesses for hosting drag shows with children present. The “Protection Of Children” law authorized government to impose fines, suspensions or revoke the licenses of violating businesses.
