Ella Langley Reveals Her Little Sister Told Her To Post The Bikini Picture That Broke The Internet

Little sister’s always know best. Ella Langley is the it girl in country music right now. From her clever songwriting, the iconic bangs she rocks, her edgy yet traditional country stylings, and her Stevie Nicks-inspired vibe, the world can not get enough of the Alabama native. Langley usually sports a rock and roll-inspired look that leans towards modesty, showcasing some leg or shoulder but never overdoing it. She often sports black sheer tights, caftan-inspired dresses, and tall boots. Although she may dress more modest than those of some other country music artists, she still exudes a sexy vibe through her confidence and demeanor. Not to mention, she’s downright gorgeous… View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ella Langley (@ellalangleymusic) But as women, when we feel good in our skin, we want to show it off. Ella Langley had a moment like this back in March while touring in Banff and posted a tasteful bikini picture to Instagram. To say the image broke the internet is no understatement. As we noted earlier, given that Langley is not known for showing a lot of skin, folks were shocked yet loved the confidence from the “Weren’t For The Wind” singer. The comments section quickly filled up with phrases like: “Excuse me, it looks like I love you!” “Get it, sexy!” “My god! Marry me, please!” To view the picture, you can check it out here. While Langley exuded confidence in this day off photo dump, in an interview with Fitz, who hosts the Country Top 40, Langley revealed that she was initially not going to post the image at all. Fitz asked Langley if she realized that image was going to go viral the way it did, to which she said no. Langley then shares: “Well, I was honestly a little nervous about posting that picture; it was very unlike me to do. And then I texted my little sister and said ‘?’, and she said ‘Hell yeah.’ And she’s 17, so I was like, whatever you say, I will do.” Little sisters really do know best because Langley left the internet with their jaws on the floor. A tasteful bikini picture can do a lot. @fitzfiles ELLA LANGLEY JUST TOLD ME HER MASTER PLAN …… AND IT AIN’T JUST COUNTRY MUSIC, Y’ALL! Acting. Singing. Big screens, big dreams. This girl’s about to do it all. #fyp #foryoupage #ellalangley #countrymusic ♬ original sound – fitzfiles Before you go, check out Langley’s latest single “Never Met Anyone Like You.” The post Ella Langley Reveals Her Little Sister Told Her To Post The Bikini Picture That Broke The Internet first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Dolly Parton Sent Burt Reynolds To The Hospital For Double Hernia Surgery After Filming An Iconic ’80s Movie Together

Dolly Parton Sent Burt Reynolds To The Hospital For Double Hernia Surgery After Filming An Iconic ’80s Movie Together

The most unique workers compensation case I’ve ever heard of… Of course, Dolly Parton starred in The Best Little W****house in Texas in 1982 alongside movie star Burt Reynolds, and the film was co-written, produced and directed by Colin Higgins and was his final film as director. The movie was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and Dolly was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Dolly and Burt became good friends off the set during the process of filming, and were often accused of having an affair, though Dolly has always denied those rumors. She has talked openly about their friendship, though, as they were both at low points in their lives when they met and in her book Dolly: My Life and Other Unfinished Business, Dolly addressed it, joking that they were “too much alike” to have ever been romantically involved: “There were the inevitable rumors that Burt and I were romantically involved, and one day, in an interview, somebody asked me if it was true. ‘Shoot, no!’ I said, ‘Burt and I are too much alike to be involved. We both wear wigs and high heels, and we both have a roll around the middle.'” But when she publicly denied the rumors back when the movie was first coming out, Burt was not too happy because he told her it would “destroy” the magic of the movie and people’s imaginations that they might’ve been more than friends in real life, too. Dolly said he was actually upset with her about it for a little while: “Well, Burt got wind of this quote and proceeded to give me a few of his own. ‘You’re destroying the magic,’ he said to me. ‘How are people going to think of us as an item for the sake of this movie if we go around bad-mouthing each other?’ Well, I hadn’t thought of it as bad-mouthing, and I told him so. I was just trying to make a joke.” In the book Dolly on Dolly, she called her relationship with him “sweeter than a love affair,” and eventually, he got over her joking that they were never in a romantic relationship, and used a similar joke a talk show: “I know that Burt is a good sport, and looking back on it, I’m sure he was just a little extra sensitive at the time. He must have gotten over it because a year or so later on a talk show I heard him use the same joke.” But it was the story she told about the medical issue she caused him that blew my mind… I’ve somehow never heard this before, and in one of those last scenes they filmed for the movie, Dolly said Burt had a hard time picking her up. She called herself a “real porker” at the time (though I beg to differ… she looks absolutely perfect in this movie), and she recalled Burt “groaning” when he had to pick her up. In Dolly: My Life and Other Unfinished Business, she explained: “There was a scene at the end of the movie where Burt, as Sheriff Ed Earl, had to pick me up and carry me. They waited to shoot that scene last, and it was a good thing they did. The cameras rolled, Burt picked me up, and I could hear him groan. I was a real porker at the time, probably the heaviest I have ever been. Naturally, being the movies, they had to shoot the scene a few times, and each time Burt groaned a little louder.” Here’s the scene: @cultclassicalist True story: Burt Reynolds got a hernia from lifting Dolly Parton in this scene from The Best Little Wh$&e House in Texas. #cultclassic #dollyparton #movietrivia #foryoupage ♬ original sound – CultClassicalist The week after they wrapped filming, Dolly found out that he had actually had a double hernia operation due to lifting her like that… I mean, yikes. That had to have been a bit of a blow to the ego, even though, like I said, she looked stunning and she was in her prime then. Maybe Reynolds needed to hit the gym a little harder… and she also explained in the book he was having some issues before then too. But she came up with the perfect joke to explain it all, considering the bad timing, obviously, saying she would tell people she never broke his heart, but the “damage was a little further south:” “The week after the shooting ended, Burt was checked into a hospital to undergo a double hernia operation. I am told he had been having problems prior to that, but I still couldn’t help feeling a little responsible. So if anybody ever asks me if I broke Burt Reynolds’s heart, I have to say honestly that the damage was a little further south. Forgive me, Burt. I hope they’re still working.” Just classic. That’s still so funny over 40 years later, and only Dolly could make a joke that good out of something that most women would find incredibly embarrassing, even if it wasn’t totally her fault. But seriously, what a wild story… I’m surprised she sent him to the hospital for a hernia rather than high blood pressure, so to speak, because Dolly playing Mona Stangley is beyond most men’s wildest dreams. I’m thinking the only thing she really hurt throughout this filming process was Burt Reynolds’ ego… The post Dolly Parton Sent Burt Reynolds To The Hospital For Double Hernia Surgery After Filming An Iconic ’80s Movie Together first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Cody Canada Clarifies After Calling Out Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick: “This Isn’t About Politics, It’s About People”

Cody Canada decided to release an official statement about his views on THC after last month’s pointed remarks directed towards Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Back in June, when Cross Canadian Ragweed was playing at The Armadillo Palace in Houston, Texas, Canada took some time out of the set to share some thoughts about the state’s stance on cannabis and THC. Specifically, the lead man for the recently reunited band took offense to Patrick trying to reverse the decision to decriminalize cannabis and make THC and THC-adjacent products illegal in the state. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is seeking to ban the sale of all products with Senate Bill 3, which passed by the Senate recently after getting approval from the House. That legislation would effectively ban all cannabinoids in consumable hemp products, except for non-intoxicating CBD and CBG. Cody Canada, a man who has benefited from the medicinal qualities of THC, spoke for all of the others who have had similar experiences by dedicating “Boys From Oklahoma” to Dan Patrick and also providing these comments towards the Lieutenant Governor: “I’d like to send this song out to the Lieutenant Governor of f***** Texas. F*** that guy… Why don’t you get your s*** together, Texas, Dan Patrick, and legalize that f***** weed.” @xlaurynalexis Dan Patrick, ya hear Cody Canada? #codycanada #crosscanadianragweed #ccr #countryconcert #countrymusic #texas ♬ original sound – LO Pretty easy to tell which side of the fight Cody Canada is on, eh? Now, a couple of weeks removed from those fiery sentence aimed at the Lieutenant Governor, and I’m sure a zillion comments about Republicans and Democrats, Cody Canada is releasing his more formal feelings about the Patrick and the state of Texas trying to overturn the decision to decriminalize cannabis that’s under four ounces and remove and restrict sales of THC. Here’s what the artist had to say: “As a musician, a father, and someone who deeply believes in personal freedom and compassion, I want to voice my full support for the legalization of medicinal THC. Too many people across this country-our veterans, our parents, our neighbors and even our children-are living with pain, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic illness. They all deserve safe, regulated, and doctor-guided access to natural alternatives that can help them heal and live full lives.” Hard to argue with that. Canada went on to describe the medicinal qualities that THC has, and how he is a testament to being able to get relief that he had been searching for for years: “Medicinal THC has shown again and again that it can be life changing when used responsibly. This plant has real power when it is used responsibly and with care. I believe people should have access to that kind of relief without fear or stigma. Medicinal THC isn’t about getting high-it’s about getting your life back, and for a lot of us, it works when nothing else does. I’ve dealt with anxiety for a long time, and for a while Xanax was the only thing that helped me manage it. But the side effects and the way it made me feel just wasn’t something I wanted to live with forever. Eventually, I started using medicinal THC under guidance and it changed everything. I was able to get off the Xanax completely, and I finally feel like myself again without the fog or the edge.” Once again, hard to argue with that. The Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman then really stuck the landing with his statement and call to action for lawmakers, suggesting that THC could be the miracle drug that could change people’s lives for the better. He also reiterated that this isn’t about politics or parties, it’s about people: “This isn’t about politics, it’s about people. It’s about dignity and it’s about choice. I’ve seen firsthand how access to plant-based medicine has helped friends and family manage pain and reclaim their quality of life when nothing else worked. It’s time we move forward with compassion and science leading the way. Let’s legalize medicinal THC and give people the care they deserve.” All of that coming from someone who has testified that THC has changed his life should mean something to lawmakers and others who need convincing that medicinal THC deserves to be legalized across the board. Here’s to hoping that the right people hear Cody Canada’s message… before he has to call someone else out on stage again. The post Cody Canada Clarifies After Calling Out Texas Lt.
