Mike Lee gets poetic‚ hammers the 'Uniparty' with haikus

Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah has been riffing on the idea of the &;quot;Uniparty‚&;quot; the notion that Republicans and Democrats join together to advance big government objectives‚ much to the chagrin of conservatives.&;quot;Conservatives: 'You're spending too much and enacting the Dems' priorities. Our voters hate it‚'&;quot; Lee wrote in a post illustrating the &;quot;Uniparty&;quot; issue. &;quot; The Uniparty™️: 'You're being mean &; uncivil‚'&;quot; he added. &;quot;Conservatives: 'It's neither mean nor uncivil to note that you voted for things we promised to oppose‚'&;quot; Lee wrote. &;quot; The Uniparty™️: 'Extremists&;#33;'&;quot; he concluded his post. — (@) Lee has even been posting haikus on the topic. A haiku involves three lines‚ with the first having five syllables‚ the second containing seven syllables‚ and the third having five syllables‚ according to britannica.com.&;quot;Printing money fast. Uniparty's grip tightens. Americans pay‚&;quot; Lee tweeted‚ adding the hashtag‚ &;quot;#UnipartyHaiku.&;quot; — (@) In a post that has been deleted‚ Lee had included a haiku that read‚ &;quot;Unitards are nuts. They steal the souls of many. Sapping our freedom.&;quot;&;quot;Unitards in bloom. Draining your hard-earned savings. The press will praise them‚&;quot; Lee had written in another post that has been deleted.&;quot; After considerable reflection‚ I've decided that both the symbol and the 'demonym' I'll attach to The Uniparty™️ is this majestic creature—the unicorn‚&;quot; Lee announced. &;quot; While other options exist‚ none get the job done like this one. It's a symbol. It's a nickname. It's the Uniparty Unicorn™️.&;quot; — (@) Lee posted altered versions of the two deleted haiku posts that had used the term &;quot;Unitards.&;quot; &;quot;Unicorns are nuts. They steal the souls of many. Sapping our freedom‚&;quot; he tweeted. &;quot;Unicorns in haste. Draining your hard-earned savings. The press will praise them‚&;quot; he wrote in another post. — (@) Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Man posts video of himself sucker-punching elderly man without provocation‚ New Mexico police say they can't do anything

A New Mexico man sucker-punched an elderly man and published video of himself doing it‚ but police said they are unable to do anything about it‚ despite admitting they saw the video. The video was posted to Facebook by Armando Gandara III and showed him punching someone who appears to be an elderly man in Albuquerque before running away. The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office said in a statement to KOB-TV that they had seen the video but could do nothing without the victim coming forward. The victim in this case has not come forward and we do not have a confirmed identity of the victim. Without a statement and report made by the victim this case cannot move forward. We urge the victim in the video to come forward and speak with a deputy to ensure we can move forward with appropriate charges in the pursuit of justice. The post was later removed. &;quot; He is completely unhinged.&;quot; KOB also spoke to Amanda Kimbrel‚ who says she works alongside Gandara at UPS and fears his violence may escalate. She says working in the same place as the man has her fearing for her life. “When I go to work every morning‚ I am‚ my anxiety level is through the roof because I don’t know what he’s going to do‚&;quot; she said. &;quot; No precautions have been taken to secure my safety or my co-workers. I go to work every day wondering‚ ‘Am I going to die today&;#63;’ And I know that sounds dramatic‚ but it’s truly not because he is completely unhinged.&;quot; Kimbrel says she filed a restraining order against Gandara in January but that he keeps violating it without any repercussions. “He violated it I think a total of seven times now‚ maybe six‚&;quot; she claimed. &;quot; He stole one of his friends phones‚ reached out to me‚ pretending to be the other friend. He violates it at work. He’s supposed to‚ you know‚ stay within 100 yards of me. He comes right next to me.&;quot; &;quot;People need to stand up.&;quot; Kimbrel says she plans on taking Gandara to court over the restraining order violations but she hopes that the elderly victim will also step forward and press charges. “People need to stand up to people like this‚ and stop taking it‚&;quot; she said. &;quot; So whoever that older gentleman was that he‚ you know‚ sucker punched like that. I hope he comes forward.&;quot; Here's a video about the incident: Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 13 House Democrats vote for resolution that condemns 'the Biden administration's open-borders policies'

In a 223-191 vote‚ the House of Representatives passed a resolution that decries &;quot;the Biden administration's open-borders policies&;quot; and presses for the administration to rescind them and &;quot;implement policies that end his administration's border crisis.&;quot;Thirteen Democrats and 210 Republicans voted in favor of passing the resolution while 191 Democrats opposed it.The resolution includes language asserting that &;quot;President Joe Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas have created the worst border security crisis in the Nation’s history&;quot; and that &;quot;President Biden‚ beginning on day one of his administration‚ systematically dismantled effective border security measures and interior immigration enforcement.&;quot;Earlier this year‚ when the House voted 214-213 in favor of impeaching Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas‚ no Democrats voted for impeachment. Then later‚ Democratic and independent senators ultimately put the kibosh on the impeachment effort. The text of the resolution also includes language stating that the House &;quot;affirms the Biden administration has taken executive actions that created the current border crisis&;quot; and &;quot;condemns the public safety crisis caused by the Biden administration’s open-borders policies.&;quot; The 13 Democrats who voted in favor of passage include: Reps.
