Scotland’s proposed new misogyny law will protect trans-identifying men as well as women‚ First Minister Humza Yousaf said during a recent appearance on “Good Morning Scotland.” A bill designed “to tackle misogyny” is expected to be introduced sometime prior to the end of the current parliamentary term in 2026 and‚ according to Yousaf‚ will include protections for anyone who identifies as a woman regardless of their biological sex. “Women and girls will be protected‚ and trans women will be protected as well‚ as they will often be the ones who suffer threats of rape or threats of disfigurement for example‚” Yousaf told the program. “When a trans woman is walking down the street and a threat of rape is made against them‚ the man making the threat doesn’t know if they are a trans woman or a cis woman. They will make that threat because the perception of that person [is] as a woman.” The bill‚ according to another government spokesperson‚ will aim to address misogyny by working to “create a new focus on protecting women and girls to address criminal behavior motivated purely by misogyny.” The new law‚ according to advocates‚ is necessary because the recently implemented Hate Crimes Act does not address crimes against women or rooted in misogyny — although it does offer protections for “marginalized groups” like those who identify as transgender. Author J.K. Rowling responded to the news in a post on X‚ arguing that including biological males under the law’s protections meant that the focus was not truly on women and girls at all. The first target in any protracted military campaign is pretty much always infrastructure. When the U.S. invaded Iraq with a “shock and awe” strategy‚ we hit the bridges right away. We did the same thing in Yugoslavia‚ Vietnam‚ and Korea. The reason for that is pretty simple: If you shut down transportation‚ you shut down the country. The purpose of taking out bridges and airports isn’t to convince anyone that you’re right. It’s not a moral argument. The point is to disable your enemy as quickly as possible and to make them vulnerable to further attack. After what happened yesterday‚ it’s clear that the domestic enemies of the United States — the ones we’ve imported and those our universities have indoctrinated — understand the importance of infrastructure very well. In a series of coordinated attacks‚ Hamas sympathizers stormed bridges and airports all over the country. I’m going to go through several of these attacks‚ and I’ll start with by far the most significant and longest-lasting interruption. It took place on both the Golden Gate Bridge and Interstate 880 in Oakland. Watch: So just a month ago‚ activists shut down the Bay Bridge. As you just heard‚ they delayed several organ donations. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that at least one person had a medical emergency while he was stuck in traffic. But nothing happened to any of the people responsible for that‚ they received something like five hours of community service. So yesterday‚ it happened again‚ this time on the Golden Gate Bridge and on the interstate. News reports like this always say “protesters” are shutting down traffic. That’s accurate‚ but it only tells part of the story. The other part is that the political leaders in these cities are also choosing to shut down traffic by allowing the protesters to do it. It would be exceedingly easy to not only clear these blockades but also dissuade anyone from ever pulling a stunt like this again. All you would have to do is pull them off the road by force and then hit them with every criminal charge even vaguely applicable‚ including terrorism charges. Throw the whole book at just one of these people‚ one time‚ and it will never happen again. Give one of them prison time — real prison time‚ 15 years of prison time — and the problem is solved.  Forever. Just like that.  Instead‚ the authorities in California are doing the opposite. The last time this took place‚ they gave these criminals a few hours of community service.. This time they let them shut down one of the longest bridges in the country for five hours before making a single arrest. All told‚ 38 people were ultimately arrested between the Golden Gate Bridge and the Oakland interstate. They were hit with a variety of charges from false imprisonment to unlawful assembly. WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show None of those charges‚ it’s important to point out‚ carry a potential sentence of over a decade in prison. That kind of penalty is reserved for pro-life demonstrators who pray outside of abortion clinics and allegedly block access to the facility. If you do that‚ you get the predawn SWAT team raid from the DOJ and a very good chance you spend the next 10 years in prison. But if you sit on the highway for five hours and prevent thousands of people from getting where they need to go‚ then that’s not as big a deal. In fact‚ false imprisonment is the most serious charge that any of these demonstrators face‚ and the max you can get for that in California is something like four years.  Of course‚ it’s virtually certain they’re not going to serve that time or even go to trial for any of this. They’ll all get community service and do the same thing again a month from now. And that’s odd‚ even by the Biden administration’s own logic — because for all we know‚ there might have been people on these roads who were headed to get abortions. And they were delayed or even blocked from doing so. Will the DOJ look into the number of Californians who had to reschedule their abortions yesterday because their bridge was illegally shut down&;#63; Think of how many children might still be alive because of those protesters. Think about how many opportunities to murder babies were squandered. That’s the kind of thing that normally keeps Merrick Garland up at night. If pro-lifers deserve a decade in prison for mildly inconveniencing people who are trying to access one abortion clinic in Nashville‚ these people deserve a century. But of course‚ they’re on the Left‚ so they can literally do whatever they want‚ all the time. Logic doesn’t really apply. There will be no DOJ probe into the organizers of this protest. There will be no RICO case against them. But increasingly‚ it’s clear that there should be. According to San Francisco’s local news station KRON‚ a woman named Ellen Caminiti was one of the “organizers” of the Golden Gate protest yesterday. She was apparently off-site‚ serving as a representative. I looked her up‚ and it turns out she’s the communications director at a nonprofit called the National Center for Lesbian Rights‚ or NCLR. So this is an organization that gets tax breaks to advance “lesbian rights‚” and at 9:00 a.m. on a Monday‚ their communications director was organizing a criminal blockade of one of the most important bridges in the country. One of my producers reached out to Ellen Caminiti about this. She said‚ quote‚ “NCLR had no role in it‚ that is just my day-job‚ which is completely separate from this.”  What’s confusing about that‚ again‚ is that this blockade took place first thing Monday morning. That counts as “during the day.” So it sounds like Ellen Caminiti’s “day job” is shutting down infrastructure in San Francisco in the name of “Palestinian solidarity.” We followed up with NCLR to ask them about this. We wanted to know if they had any reaction whatsoever to their employee assisting in a criminal blockade during the workday. They didn’t respond to that question. All they said is that they had nothing to do with the blockade. You’d think that‚ if NCLR disagreed with what their employee did during work hours‚ they’d fire her immediately. At the very least they’d condemn what she did. Especially given that she did it on behalf of Hamas‚ a group that would happily toss everyone in the organization off of a rooftop. But no such luck.  That’s because NCLR‚ like many so-called Left-wing “public interest nonprofits‚” isn’t really working in the public interest at all. It’s a tax shelter that employs unhinged activists who want to destroy this country. They should lose their tax-exempt nonprofit status immediately. Nonprofits aren’t supposed to have anything remotely to do with criminal activity‚ and it definitely sounds like‚ at a minimum‚ they’re tacitly endorsing exactly that. But‚ of course‚ there will be no DOJ investigation‚ at least not under the Biden administration‚ because the Biden administration wants these kinds of blockades to occur. That’s why they took place all day yesterday‚ all over the country. In Seattle‚ demonstrators blocked access to the airport‚ forcing travelers to walk to the terminal. In New York‚ thugs stormed the Brooklyn Bridge. In Chicago‚ they blocked the highway leading to O’Hare airport. In Dearborn Michigan‚ a caravan of Hamas sympathizers backed up traffic. In Fremont California‚ they attacked a Tesla production facility‚ apparently because of Elon Musk’s tweets‚ forcing the plant to declare an emergency and close.  In all of these cases‚ except for the situation in Fremont‚ there wasn’t much of a police response‚ at least not initially. In Seattle‚ officers eventually arrested the people blockading the roadway. Julio Rosas reports that on the Brooklyn Bridge‚ the NYPD made an effort to stop the demonstrators‚ and succeeded in stopping about half of them. But traffic was still disrupted. As far as I can tell‚ the only decisive reaction to these riots took place in Miami‚ where police hauled away the demonstrators the moment they broke the law. Watch: Well‚ look at that. The police just drag them away. It’s not hard. It takes a few minutes‚ and the whole city is no longer held hostage by a handful of terrorists. Just throw them in jail and make an example of them. Governor Ron DeSantis’ communications director uploaded the footage you just saw‚ along with this message: “In Florida‚ we drag these people out of the road and arrest them.” That’s obviously the right response‚ as rare as it may be. And when police don’t do this‚ immediately‚ then citizens have every right to do it themselves. Senator Tom Cotton put it this way‚ “I encourage people who get stuck behind the pro-Hamas mobs blocking traffic: take matters into your own hands to get them out of the way. It’s time to put an end to this nonsense.” Of course‚ the problem with what Tom Cotton said is that‚ if someone does take matters into their own hands‚ there’s a very good chance they’ll spend the rest of their life in prison. The Biden DOJ will destroy them. They will do nothing to protect innocent people from these terrorists. But the moment someone tries to take action — even if it’s justified — then the feds will hunt them down. It’s almost like that’s what the Biden administration wants to happen at this point. It appears to be what the NYPD wants. Yesterday‚ police officers didn’t have much of a reaction when a Hamas sympathizer lit an American flag on fire and shouted “Death to America‚” right in front of about five cops. He just walked away. Watch: Now‚ if you call yourself “America first” — and a lot of people do now — it goes without saying that you should be stridently opposed to people who shout “death to America‚” burn American flags‚ and go out of their way to cause problems for American citizens. If your “America first” principles somehow find common cause with people who wish death on America and its people‚ that’s a good indication that you are‚ at best‚ very confused. But that confusion needs to end at this point. This is well past the realm of online trolling. There are now coordinated attacks occurring all over the country targeting its infrastructure. You hear a lot of people say‚ “Why would these people do this&;#63; They’re not going to convince anyone to support their cause by blocking traffic or shutting down the airport&;#33;” Well‚ yeah. That’s because the objective of Hamas sympathizers living in this country isn’t to convince you of anything. Disrupting infrastructure — as always — is just the first phase in a much larger campaign they have planned. And unless more states follow Florida’s lead and shut this down immediately‚ then very soon‚ we’ll find out what the next phase is.

As Michigan residents express outrage over the death of a young woman who was killed allegedly by an illegal immigrant in Grand Rapids‚ Democratic Congresswoman Hillary Scholten — whose district covers the city — is being criticized for her past work attempting to stop the U.S. from deporting an Iraqi refugee charged with child molestation. Scholten‚ a freshman congresswoman who flipped her district from Republican to Democrat in 2022‚ worked as an immigration attorney before she was elected to Congress and once wrote a journal article for the St. Louis University School of Law where she and her co-author‚ Maureen Sweeney‚ called deportation “cruel and unusual punishment.” Scholten’s work as an immigration attorney appeared to reflect her beliefs laid out in the 2011 journal article when‚ beginning in 2018‚ she fought to stop the deportation of an Iraqi woman who was charged with molesting a 12-year-old girl‚ according to court documents first reported on by The Midwesterner. Azal “Mary” Saleh‚ a refugee and registered sex offender from Iraq‚ was facing deportation after being charged with molesting a child when Scholten defended her. Saleh appealed her removal order‚ arguing that she was protected by the Convention Against Torture. Following The Midwesterner report‚ Michigan Republicans slammed the congresswoman and anyone seeking to protect illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes from deportation. Former GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon ripped Scholten on her eponymous podcast last weekend‚ saying the Democratic congresswoman “defends pedophiles‚ keeps them in this country when they are illegal immigrants‚ [and] also wants to get ICE out of her county.” Scholten’s fellow Michigan representative‚ Tim Walberg — a Republican — represents a district just south of Scholten’s. Earlier this month‚ an illegal immigrant from Mexico was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home in Walberg’s district and sexually assaulting two young girls. Walberg told The Daily Wire in a statement that anyone “working to keep illegal immigrant sex offenders in this country is radical and morally wrong.” “Sadly‚ Michigan is not immune from violent crime committed by illegal immigrants‚ whether that be Ruby Garcia’s murder or the sexual assault of two young girls in my district a few weeks ago. Working to keep illegal immigrant sex offenders in this country is radical and morally wrong‚” Walberg said. “We should be projecting a clear‚ unified message that this is not acceptable.” Rep. Scholten has not responded to a Daily Wire request for comment. While staying with the foster family‚ Saleh was raped and forced into prostitution‚ the court documents state. Saleh then moved in with her case worker whose granddaughter later accused Saleh of sexually assaulting her. “Though Petitioner contests the truth of these allegations‚ she pleaded guilty to Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fourth Degree‚ Victim Between Ages 13-16‚ the offense that prompted the instant removal proceedings‚” the court documents state. Saleh fought against the deportation‚ arguing that “she would be tortured upon removal to Iraq because of her identity as a female‚ Christian‚ Westernized‚ single mother without family support and with a history of forced prostitution and a criminal record that identifies her as having engaged in homosexual activity.” The Iraqi refugee’s appeal was denied in part and dismissed in part‚ but Saleh‚ now 31 years old‚ still lives in Lansing‚ Michigan‚ according to the Michigan Sex Offender Registry. Scholten has sought to address the illegal immigration crisis under President Joe Biden by visiting the southern border earlier this year‚ calling it a “national security crisis‚ a humanitarian crisis‚ and an economic crisis.” The congresswoman’s district was then rocked by the murder of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia‚ whose body was found near a Grand Rapids road last month. Brandon Ortiz-Vite‚ who was deported in 2020 under the Trump administration‚ was charged with killing Garcia. “My heart breaks for Ruby Garcia and her family as they grapple with this unspeakable tragedy‚” Scholten said following Garcia’s murder. “The individual who committed this heinous crime should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I’m continuing to push for bipartisan immigration reform that both secures our border and makes sure that individuals who come to our country are fully vetted to keep our communities safe.”

Google employees are actively occupying the California office of Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and refusing to leave until the company stops doing business with Israel‚ video live-streamed by the employees shows. In a Twitch livestream titled “notech4apartheid‚” Google employees can be seen donning keffiyehs and sitting on the floor in his office. On the 10th floor in the New York City Google office‚ where a simultaneous anti-Israel rally took place‚ employees carried anti-Israel signs‚ and shouted chants asking Kurian‚ “How many kids did you kill today&;#63;” The protests were announced in internal emails to employees that shared a list of demands‚ including that Google drop its $1.2 billion contract with Israel for Project Nimbus‚ a cloud-computing project of the Israeli government‚ and the Israeli Defense Forces that contracts Google and Amazon for various services. Demands also include that Google cease all “business with the Israeli apartheid government and military‚” stop the “harassment‚ intimidation‚ bullying‚ and silencing‚” of Palestinian and Muslim employees‚ and address the “health and safety crisis” among workers who are rattled over their labor being used to “enable a genocide.” Letter sent to Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian‚ demanding the company drop its contract with Israel. Organized by No Tech for Apartheid‚ the protesters claim they will remain in the office until Google drops Project Nimbus and heeds the other demands. Anti-Semitism appears to be rampant throughout Google’s workforce. In February‚ The Daily Wire reported on internal anti-Semitic incidents taking place at Google‚ including the words “kill all Jews” found written on a bathroom wall inside its offices‚ and a Jewish employee being assaulted by anti-Israel protesters on one of their campuses. The Daily Wire also reported that a group of employees attempted to hijack an International Women’s Day event to bash Israel. “By choosing to provide the Israeli government and military with our powerful cloud computing and AI technologies‚ we have continuously enabled Israel’s apartheid state in Palestine and ongoing genocide in Gaza‚” the letter states. “When our Palestinian‚ Arab and Muslim colleagues have spoken out against the contract and their conditions of labor through ‘appropriate’ channels‚ Google leadership has allowed them to be harassed‚ doxxed‚ and retaliated against.” Google employees in New York and California protested the company’s Project Nimbus contract with Israel. “Years of being silenced‚ ignored and lied to by leadership has confirmed to us as workers that our concerns will not be heard without significant action‚ and as you read this‚ we are sitting in the office of Thomas Kurian‚ the CEO of Google Cloud‚ until our demands are met‚” the letter reads. An email sent by employee Kate Sim stated that she is joining her coworkers in “an act of civil resistance.” “As you read this‚ I and many others are participating in a sit-in in front of the office of Thomas Kurian‚ the CEO of Google Cloud‚ in Sunnyvale‚” Sim wrote in an email obtained by The Daily Wire. She also posted a photo of the protest on Twitter with employees holding anti-Israel signs. Together‚ in our hundreds and millions‚ we can stop this and one day‚ there will be a free Palestine and a world that is more humane‚ safe‚ and just.” Sim sent her email to Sundar Pichai‚ Google’s CEO‚ and thousands of other teams‚ executives‚ and employees. Sim’s Twitter is filled with months of overt anti-Israel activism in the wake of Hamas’s brutal massacre of more than 1‚000 Israelis‚ including encouraging a shoe to be thrown at President Joe Biden after he tweeted that Israel is not alone. On December 7‚ she accused Israeli women of lying about being raped by terrorists. “Do not be swayed by karens and their crocodile imperial feminism against rape‚” she tweeted. “It plays right into long tradition of yt women weaponizing femininity/motherhood to discipline/punish men of color.” Google employee Kate Sim accused Israeli women of lying about being raped by Hamas terrorists. Employee Rania Ibrahim also sent a similar email announcing her participation in the protests‚ claiming that she “witnessed six months of live-streamed murder‚ forced displacement‚ and destruction of culture in Palestine.” Outdoor protests began at 2 PM ET and 11 PM ET in the New York City‚ Sunnyvale‚ San Francisco‚ and Seattle offices‚ according to Wired. Earlier this week‚ Time reported on a version of the Nimbus Contract that showed the Israeli Defense Forces are able to use AI services and store and process data through a “secure entry point” to Google’s computing infrastructure. The contract reportedly shows the IDF was billed over $1 million for consulting services by Google. The manager of Google Israel‚ Barak Regev‚ was interrupted by a Google employee during a speech last month‚ with the employee stating that he refuses “to build technology that powers genocide‚ apartheid or surveillance.” The disruptor was escorted out by security. Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The first is called Lyrids‚ which will appear to originate from the constellation of Lyra. These showers are caused by the infamous Halley’s Comet. When these parents realized their toddler had mastered walking‚ they hoped he’d unlock a new skill—jumping. But they gravely underestimated how hard it would be to teach him how. Boyd and Giselle‚ who run a namesake TikTok account that showcases their adventures in parenting‚ posted the most wholesome video of Boyd teaching their young son‚ Luca‚ how to hop with both feet.
