Ellen DeGeneres announced she’s returning to Netflix for an hour-long comedy special later this year, saying it’s likely her last. The second special on the streaming site from the former daytime talk show host comes following her return to stand-up after 15 years in 2018’s “Relatable,” Deadline reported. DeGeneres has hinted that she would talk about the end of her successful talk show in the new special, which came to an end after 19 seasons in 2022 following claims that her set had been a “toxic” workplace environment. “To answer the questions everyone is asking me – Yes, I’m going to talk about it,” DeGeneres said. “Yes, this is my last special. The former talk show host claimed to have become the “most hated person in America” after the report about “The Ellen Show” being a toxic workplace — full of intimidation and even alleged sexual abuse — was published by Buzzfeed News in July 2020. DeGeneres denied knowledge of any wrongdoing but apologized to employees and fans anyway. “The hate went on for a long time and I would try to avoid looking at the news. The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline,” DeGeneres said during the show, per the outlet.  She reminded the audience how she concluded each episode of her eponymous talk show by reminding viewers to “Be kind to one another.” DeGeneres said that line became a “problem” because viewers started seeing her as a “one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps.” “For those of you keeping score, this is the second time I’ve been kicked out of show business …Eventually they’re going to kick me out for a third time because I’m mean, old, and gay,” she joked, referencing the fact that her show had been canceled in the 1990s shortly after she came out as gay. “It’s been such a toll on my ego and my self-esteem,” DeGeneres added. “There’s such extremes in this business, people either love you and idolize you or they hate you, and those people somehow are louder.” “I’m making jokes about what happened to me, but it was devastating,” DeGeneres continued during a Q&A portion. “It took a long time for me to want to do anything again.” The comedian added, “I love that show so much” and “hated the way the show ended.”  Amanda Harding contributed to this piece.

Vice President Kamala Harris let an F-bomb slip during a live-streamed White House event on Monday, and immediately asked the audience to “excuse” her language. Harris made the comment during a conversation with comedian Jimmy O. It does not mean that you start on one side of the barrier and end up on another,” she said. “There’s breaking involved. And when you break things you get cut and you may bleed. And it is worth it every time.” “You have to fight for rights for everybody, and you have to be in the fight. You can’t sit it out,” Harris added. A 16-year-old male gunman was stopped by parishioners and arrested by police officers after he entered a Louisiana Catholic church during Mass on Saturday. The incident occurred during a Mass celebrating a group of children’s first holy communion at St. Mary Magdalen church in Abbeville in southern Louisiana. No one was injured during the incident. While we realize this was a frightening experience for those in attendance, we are incredibly grateful to both parishioners and police officers for acting quickly to ensure the safety of all,” the church said. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are involved in the investigation. The suspect was questioned at a police station with a parent present and then taken to a hospital behavioral unit to be medically evaluated, the Abbeville Police Department said. The teen has been charged with “terrorizing” as well as with two counts of possession of a firearm by a juvenile, police said. The terrifying incident was captured on a church camera that was streaming the Mass online. A man ascends the altar and whispers to the priest, who then asks the parishioners to sit down and join him in prayer and begins reciting Hail Marys. Several men walk around near the front pews, frequently looking towards the back of the church. Moments later, parishioners can be seen panicking, screaming, and grabbing their small children as police enter the church. The priest continued to pray but was drowned out by the crowd. He and several priests duck behind the altar during the chaos, and altar boys can be seen running across the altar. “So guys, just get ahold of your child. Go slowly. We did apprehend a young man. He is in custody. He is in the police’s custody. Calm down and just get next to your child and go slowly,” a man can be heard telling the crowd on a microphone. The church said it will have law enforcement at all upcoming Masses as a precaution. St. Mary Magdelen church is part of Vermilion Parish and is located about 21 miles southwest of Lafayette.

The Democratic Party is totally disconnected from reality. And that is why Joe Biden is in very serious trouble. Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House and still an influential voice inside the Democratic Party, serves as an example of just how disconnected they are. At Oxford Union Society, Pelosi debated populism with Winston Marshall, the former musician from the folk music band Mumford and Sons. She started tearing into populism in language that sounded very much like Barack Obama circa 2008. In 2008, Barack Obama was running for president of the United States, and he suggested what he thought was the problem with the country, saying of some Americans: They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. At Oxford, Pelosi ripped into those same normal people Obama targeted, saying, “These poor souls who are looking for some answers. We’ve given them to them, but they’re blocked by some of their views on guns. And they have the three G’s: guns, gays, God  — that would be a woman’s right to choose — and their cultural issues cloud some of their reception of an argument that really is in their interest.” According to Nancy Pelosi, the reason people are not voting Democrat as much as they should be is because they are blocked by cultural factors like guns and God and gays. That’s an absurdly reductive view of people on the other side of the aisle. WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show It turns out that the vast majority of people in the United States just want to be left alone. They want to be part of solid family structures. They want to be involved in their local church or synagogue. They want to be involved in the social-fabric building in areas like religion. Pelosi herself is supposedly a religious Catholic (although I would question just how religious she is when she supports transgenderism, same-sex marriage, and abortion) and is supposed to understand the things people in the United States want, but she doesn’t because there is a radical wing of the Democratic Party that has now taken the helm in the center of the Democratic Party. Pelosi used to be more moderate than she is. Obama shifted the party to the Left, and then Bernie Sanders shifted the party even more to the Left. Joe Biden is simply a human weathervane. He is no longer sentient, if he ever was. Even when he was sentient, he was a weathervane. Now he is an inanimate object at the center of the Democratic Party. He’s a cork bobbing on the waves of the Democratic Party. And the Democratic Party has decided to cave to its most radical members, people who apparently think that God and guns are very bad and that the vast majority of Americans are only voting Republican because they hate gay people or some such nonsense. That is not a winning formula. The Democratic Party is catering right now to an army of losers. But that’s not every Democratic voter. The vast majority of Democratic voters are not members of the Army of Losers who wish to rebel against the meritocracy and believe that traditional values are inherently wrong and bad — the kinds of people who led a student walkout at Duke University because Jerry Seinfeld was speaking over the weekend. Those are the people to whom the Democratic Party is catering. The Left has done the same thing. At Eurovision, an annual event at which a competitor from each European Western country performs, the people who win are typically members of the army of losers, far-leftists who hate traditional values. The winner this year was a non-binary Swiss rapper who was not the only competitor in the Army of Losers. There was a competitor from Ireland named “Bambie Thug” whose act was termed by some people  “satanic.” But a young, normal-looking Israeli woman performer was protested by tens of thousands of people, including Greta Thunberg. What was interesting was that the jury vote, comprised of all of the elites deciding who was the best performer, decided that the Swiss non-binary rapper was just incredible and had to win. But when it came to the actual vote of human beings living in Europe, the Israeli singer ended up placing second in the popular vote. She topped the popular vote in Britain, Spain, Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, and Italy. As it turns out, people don’t like the army of losers, the army for whom the Democratic Party has decided to fall in line. And it is not paying off for the Democrats: the latest polling data for Biden — who spent the last month basically undermining the state of Israel in its attempts to exterminate a terrorist group currently holding American hostages — is a New York Times/Philadelphia Inquirer/Siena College poll that found former President Trump up in Nevada by 14 points in in a five-way race with Biden, RFK Jr., Jill Stein, and Cornel West, up nine in Arizona, up eight in Georgia, up four in Pennsylvania, up one in Wisconsin, and three points in Michigan. And those are races including RFK. Even when you take RFK out, Trump is currently leading in every single battleground state, according to the New York Times. Biden is losing it. The moderates, the normies don’t like him. The people who don’t like the army of losers don’t like him. These people comprise a large part of the Democratic base, all the moderates in the Democratic Party base who do not wish to overthrow the American meritocracy in the name of people who declare themselves victims, who don’t have a lot of sympathy for Hamas, and who don’t believe that the “queers are coming is the future of the West.” These are just normal, everyday Americans who want to be left alone, be able to earn a living, and be able to put food on the table; they want their kids to have more opportunity than they had. That’s it. That’s all they want. And Joe Biden is not giving that to them. The New York Times explained this in an article today, writing, “A majority of voters still desire the return to normalcy promised by Mr. Biden in the last campaign, but voters in battleground states remain particularly anxious, unsettled and itching for change. Nearly 70 percent of voters say that the country’s political and economic systems need major changes — or even to be torn down entirely. Only a sliver of Mr. Biden’s supporters — just 13 percent — believe that the president would bring major changes in his second term, while even many of those who dislike Trump grudgingly acknowledge he would shake up an unsatisfying status quo.” The reason Biden is falling apart is because he is losing the moderate middle. He’s aiming at a fraction of a fraction of his voting base to try and drag him over the line.  It’s not going to work. It is unbelievably stupid.
