RFK Jr.’s Philandering‚ Late Wife’s Suicide Stay Out of Campaign

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is making his presence known. In a poll published Sunday by CNN‚ Kennedy registered 16 percent support when he‚ independent candidate Cornel West‚ and Green Party candidate Jill Stein were included with President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. He has created even more buzz around himself given his increasingly successful effort to get on the ballots in all 50 states — he is now on the ballot in Hawaii‚ Utah‚ and‚ importantly‚ Michigan. READ MORE: RFK Jr.: Biden’s and the Democrats’ Ongoing Nightmare RFK Jr. has received copious attention from mainstream media outlets for his views on science and medicine. Numerous essays have been penned pointing to his claims that Wi-Fi causes cancer‚ vaccines cause autism‚ and COVID was engineered so that it would spare Jewish and Chinese people. In recent weeks‚ a column in the New York Times was headlined “The High-I.Q. Nonsense of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‚” a column in the Washington Post referred to him as “Misinformation-spouting RFK Jr.‚” and Wired headlined coverage of him with “RFK Jr.’s Very Online‚ Conspiracy-Filled Campaign.” What has oddly been virtually absent from public discussion of Kennedy’s campaign is that he has long been a serial philanderer with a history of mistreating women. He cheated on his first wife‚ Emily Ruth Black‚ with whom he had two children; then‚ while still legally married‚ he entered into a sexual relationship with his sister’s friend Mary Richardson‚ impregnated her‚ and proposed to her. Kennedy would go on to serially cheat on Mary and then seek divorce‚ which she adamantly contested. Richardson committed suicide after Kennedy filed divorce papers and entered into a relationship with his now-wife‚ Cheryl Hines (who was herself married when the two began dating). Richardson’s family has long maintained that Kennedy’s philandering and abandonment of Mary is what led her to commit suicide — although this is an accusation Kennedy adamantly denies‚ pointing to her mental illnesses and substance abuse problems. Mary’s sister Nan is said to have told Kennedy on the night her sister died‚ “You killed my sister.” Before she died‚ Mary found a diary Kennedy had kept detailing his escapades with women‚ according to the New York Post. The diary listed 37 women he was involved with in 2001 — at which time he was legally married to Mary — and ranked the extent of the encounter one through 10‚ with 10 indicating intercourse (for this‚ there were 16 women listed). The diary notes on one day that Kennedy was involved with three separate women — with one woman listed as a “10”; at this time‚ his and Richardson’s son was four months old. The New York Post reported that Kennedy spoke quite oddly of women in his diary‚ repeatedly referring to being seduced by a woman as being “mugged” and acting as though the women were solely responsible for his cheating. One day‚ for instance‚ Kennedy wrote that he “got mugged on my way home” before recording a woman’s name and the number 10. After the diary was reported on by the New York Post‚ some speculated that Richardson’s finding of this diary could have contributed to her decision to kill herself. And Mary’s friends and family have continued to push the conclusion that Kennedy’s repetitive cheating on and treatment of Mary pushed her to the brink. For example‚ when Kennedy announced his presidential campaign last year‚ actor Billy Baldwin‚ who had been close friends with Richardson‚ brought up Mary’s suicide. “If Bobby were half a man‚” he said‚ “[Mary] would still be alive today. It will all come out. His campaign will be over in weeks. If these walls could talk.” In his diary‚ Kennedy Jr. wrote of his “lust demons‚” but he has done little to publicly acknowledge his serial cheating or apologize for these past mistakes. In his 2018 memoir American Values: Lessons I Learned From My Family‚ RFK does not give mention to his womanizing — despite the book’s supposed focus on his own personal growth. Luckily for Kennedy‚ he is being assisted in his effort to avoid his serial philandering — as well as the speculation about his late wife’s suicide in relation to it — by the fact that the press has given it little focus. A notable example is Kennedy’s nearly hour-long interview last week with EWTN host Raymond Arroyo. In one segment‚ Arroyo provided Kennedy with ample time to speak of his family and his faith‚ but Arroyo never inquired past Kennedy’s claims of deep Catholicism to ask about his treatment of Emily Ruth Black and Mary Richardson. There has‚ however‚ been some scattered discussion of Kennedy’s morality problems. Last June‚ the Daily Mail published a column headlined “I bet you didn’t know of RFK Jr’s appalling misogyny. No one dares ask about his sex diaries — or how he tormented his suicidal wife then exhumed her from the Kennedy plot. So Bobby‚ are you man enough to face MY questions&;#63;”; and the New Republic in August stated‚ “RFK Jr. Was a Compulsive Womanizer‚ and Yes‚ We Should Care.” Perhaps the reason such little attention has been paid to Kennedy’s womanizing is because our culture is no longer opposed to cheating on one’s spouse. Just take the raft of articles in recent months promoting “ethical nonmonogamy” and the increasingly popular idea that it would be oppressive to be sexually limited to just one’s spouse. For Republicans‚ Trump’s philandering and “locker-room talk” broke down the previous standard that public officials should exercise morality. For instance‚ when it was credibly reported last year that South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem had cheated on her husband for years‚ virtually no one cared. Nostalgia for the Kennedys also helps people to look past Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s serially cheating on his often-pregnant wives over decades. Moreover‚ Kennedy Jr. has other character issues. He has admitted to traveling on Jeffrey Epstein’s jet on two occasions. Additionally‚ his explanation of the trips does not line up‚ as he claims to have been married to Mary Richardson at the claimed time of those trips when‚ during at least one‚ he was in reality married to Emily Ruth Black. He was also addicted to heroin for 14 years. Kennedy blames this on the death of his father‚ but not every person who loses a parent during childhood decides to respond by abusing drugs for over a decade and a half. Kennedy Jr. was also alleged to have “pushed” his younger brother David to take psychedelics; David would later overdose at age 28. There is also Kennedy’s 2016 book‚ Framed: Why Michael Skakel Spent Over a Decade in Prison for a Murder He Didn’t Commit‚ in which he falsely accuses two teenagers of committing murder. If Kennedy Jr. maintains his substantial presence in the polls‚ he will need to be questioned on his character issues. Never before has a major presidential candidate been left so unquestioned about such bad behavior. Stop Complaining About Your Opportunities‚ Republicans. Take Advantage of Biden’s Failures.

After I offered a perfectly accurate negative summation of current market/industry conditions when speaking on a business venture I can’t yet discuss (but that will be quite relevant indeed to the interests of our readers)‚ I received an admonishment from my business partner: “Stop complaining about your opportunities&;#33;” It’s an even more accurate response than mine. READ MORE from Scott McKay: St. George Finally Slew the Dragon All too often we spend our time grousing about the state of the world‚ and yet‚ the worse things get‚ the greater the opportunity grows to take control and make them better. This applies largely across life’s board. But since we mostly talk about politics in this space‚ let’s apply the maxim there. What we find is that it’s very applicable indeed. More and more‚ it’s becoming obvious that conservatives have the greatest opportunity for a sea-change election since 1980. Sure‚ I’m offering a darkest-before-the-dawn analysis. But the fact that everything is coming apart is both a frightening manifestation of societal decline and a golden moment for potential change. It’s best to see it primarily as the latter. After all‚ why wouldn’t you&;#63; If it’s all going to hell in a handbasket‚ that’ll still be true if you take a chance at fixing it and fail. And Joe Biden and the radical idiot leftist mob propping him up are sending us to hell in a very big handbasket. This we can’t deny. Take the economy‚ for example: It's official: Inflation is soaring while the economy grinds to a halt. As Business Insider put it‚ &;quot; The US economy may be barreling towards stagflation‚ an outcome worse than recession.&;quot; Last time they screwed up this bad we got years of double-digit unemployment *and*… pic.twitter.com/JrwfDi4qSL — Peter St Onge‚ Ph.D. (@profstonge) April 30‚ 2024 Boy‚ that is an absolutely awful prognosis. Man the lifeboats‚ right&;#63; Right. The economy is‚ in a word‚ screwed. Deficit spending is debasing the currency and strangling the economy. It’s destroying access to home ownership for an entire generation of Americans‚ prices are out of control and now getting worse at a faster pace‚ producers are getting squeezed both by prices up and down the supply chain and the skyrocketing cost of regulatory compliance‚ and — to make it even worse — producers are unable to pass those costs on to an increasingly tapped-out consumer. This is almost certain to crash‚ and soon. It’s all unsustainable. The only solution is a massive sea-change — such as‚ for example‚ the one Javier Milei is putting together in Argentina‚ which went from out-of-control government deficits to a surplus almost immediately. Now‚ Milei is making a lot of fast enemies doing what was necessary to rescue his country from the effects of Marxist tyranny‚ but what he’s proven is that unsustainable deficits are merely a function of will — and so might be balanced budgets and functioning economies. So‚ the opportunity exists to politically monetize the pain of Bidenomics and to promise something different: Biden was warned that wasting trillions of taxpayer dollars to line the pockets of his left-wing buddies would fuel inflation. He did it anyway‚ and now prices are up 19.4%. Get the FACTS https://t.co/ndlS9ebAJm — GOP (@GOP) April 30‚ 2024 That’s an example of a prototype. All Republican candidates need to be out there preaching economic doom and hanging it on their Democrat opponents‚ and they ought to be laying it on as thick as they possibly can with zero reservations or limitations. You and your family will be homeless and dumpster diving if you don’t get these Democrats out of power right now. Think I’m lying&;#63; Go ask all the Venezuelans who just walked across the border at Dirty Joe Biden’s invitation. They’ll tell you‚ because they’ve dealt with two decades’ worth of Bidenomics back in the home country and THAT’S WHAT YOU GET. What’s the comeback to that&;#63; That you’re spreading conspiracy theories&;#63; Really&;#63; Say “conspiracy theory” now‚ and most immediately assume you’re a liar or a dupe‚ but they at least want to check out the “conspiracy theory” in question because it’s even money that it’ll pan out in six months. Nobody — at least‚ nobody outside of the “experts” who can’t stop being colossally wrong in their projections — was surprised to see the economy descend into stagflation. We all saw it coming. And we all know the binary of what’s next: Either correct course or become Venezuela. Economically‚ this sucks; politically‚ it’s outright manna from heaven‚ and Republicans should take advantage of it. How about the Trump trials&;#63; In this week’s CNN poll that had the Donald beating Dirty Joe by 6 points in a head-to-head and by 9 points with the third-party candidates in the race‚ some 57 percent of the respondents agreed with the notion that all of these Trump indictments are really just lawfare designed to knock him out of the presidential race. The public gets it. They don’t — or‚ at least‚ most of them don’t — like it. So‚ while it’s a horrible abuse of the judicial system and a grave threat to the future of the republic‚ it’s also a tremendous opportunity. Trump’s trial in New York isn’t something the Right should be wringing its hands over. We’ve already written and said all the correct things about what Dirty Joe and his flying DEI monkeys (thanks‚ Joy Reid&;#33;) have done to our courts. At this point‚ we should be embracing this abuse for the disqualifying‚ squalid political mistake it is. Somebody ought to make and distribute millions and millions of little plastic kangaroos with “Let’s Go Brandon” signs on their chests and a very peculiar‚ earthy smell easily recognizable from the zoo or a barnyard and spread them everywhere. Drop them out of helicopters outside of that kangaroo courthouse in New York; litter the White House lawn with them; deliver them to local Democrat Party headquarters across the country; brandish them at photo opportunities where Dem politicians mug for cameras. Do everything possible to make the kangaroo‚ rather than the jackass‚ the preferred mascot of the Democrats so that everyone associates them with the kangaroo courts hearing those Trump cases. The message behind the message is obvious: These corrupt bastards are doing everything they can‚ outside of custom and law‚ to bring down Trump‚ a former president and one of the richest and most powerful men in the world. What do you think would stop them from doing it to you&;#63; People don’t like the idea of that at all‚ so it ought to be made crystal clear to them that this is exactly what’s going on. Hell‚ it’s not even about Trump. Look at Daniel Penny. Look at Daniel Perry‚ whose circumstances were as similar to Penny’s as his name. Perry was the U.S. Army sergeant who found himself surrounded in his car by a mob of Antifa demonstrators in Austin‚ Texas‚ back in 2020‚ and he shot one who was brandishing a rifle at him. The idiots in Austin found him guilty of murder last year. Look at the Jan. 6 protesters and the treatment they’ve received compared to the Antifa and BLM goons‚ not to mention the Hamas stooges on all of those campuses. I could go on. You get the picture. People are very uncomfortable with the idea that the justice system has been politicized beyond recognition. So‚ hang that travesty on Dirty Joe and his handlers and allies‚ and demand that they be made to pay for it. The border&;#63; Can’t get a better example of a grand opportunity than that. Biden’s migrant invasion — and especially the fact that it serves as a cover for a specific invasion of military-age males from China and certain Middle Eastern countries of a particular religious persuasion not generally congenial to American notions of individual liberty and personal morality — might present the greatest political opportunity in American history. There’s something for everybody here: You can talk about how Biden has depressed the wages of the American working class by bringing in replacement workers for corporate America to use as effective scabs. You can talk about how he’s betrayed blacks and Hispanics with those migrants. You can talk about how he’s stretching the welfare state to the breaking point in putting millions of illegals on the dole‚ while clogging up public schools‚ hospitals‚ daycare centers‚ jails‚ and every other facility you can think of by importing the huddled masses and redistributing public resources away from Americans who need them. The border alone ought to be enough to destroy the Democrats‚ because Biden’s migrant invasion has hit their own voters hardest. By all means‚ make them understand that. The trans issue. The Chinese bribes. The DEI clown show that keeps on clowning. The pandering to Hamas. The stupid EV mandates that hold the promise of breaking our auto industry and leaving businesses and consumers without reliable transportation. Name an issue and these clowns have made it worse — and‚ almost universally‚ obnoxiously so. I could write a whole book about the oodles of golden opportunities for political annihilation the Democrats have presented. We have lots of internecine fights on the right over which we can tear each other apart. Let’s have those next year‚ after we’ve taken power and begun experimenting with how to finally use it effectively. The most important job now — in fact‚ the only job now — is to recognize and appreciate the gifts the Left is giving. Stop looking at this as the end of the world. Start looking at it as the end of their world. Because it is — if we’re good enough to make them suffer for their sins. The post Stop Complaining About Your Opportunities‚ Republicans. Netflix Hates Funny

Recently‚ in an article about the latest Netflix outing featuring the spectacularly unfunny comedienne Hannah Gadsby‚ I wrote the following: “The best 10 or 20 or 30 stand-ups in the English-speaking world could never get anywhere near the stage of a Netflix comedy special because‚ by definition‚ they use their wit to ridicule establishment orthodoxy‚ not affirm it.” I’m afraid that I now feel obliged to withdraw that remark‚ or — let’s put it this way — qualify it. READ THE PIECE: No Funny Business Here: Hannah Gadsby’s New Special Endlessly Bashes Whites‚ Christians‚ and the ‘Cisgendered’ Why&;#63; Well‚ one reason is Dave Attell‚ a living legend whose Skanks for the Memories (2003) is one of the truly memorable hours of comedy. You’re laughing out loud even before he’s done introducing himself. His appearance is sloppy and disheveled‚ his delivery (in a pronounced Long Island accent) loud and strident‚ the premises of his schtick by turns preposterous and profane (sometimes both at once)‚ and his segues so lightning-fast that they’re whiplash-inducing. Sample joke: “You know how when you’re young you think your dad is Superman‚ and then you grow up and realize he’s just a drunk who wears a cape&;#63;” That was 21 years ago. Now Attell has a new special — and‚ yes‚ it’s on Netflix. But it’s remarkably underwhelming. It’s only a half hour long‚ and Attell spends much of it playing the recorder — poorly — and having his audience‚ also supplied with recorders‚ play along. Why&;#63; Easy: Adding a few minutes of music to a comedy routine is a time-honored way of stretching out the act. As for the comedy‚ it’s a lot tamer than Skanks. A couple of the funnier lines: “I’m a Biden man. Hunter Biden.” And: “I’m not an ocean guy. Even though I look like I know my way around a tugboat.” Conclusion: Netflix will book a special by a truly hilarious comic like Dave Attell; it’s just that‚ whether because he’s lost his edge or because Netflix has shaved that edge down‚ this minor dose of Attell is a major disappointment. Also out with a new Netflix special is the British comedian Jimmy Carr‚ whom I saw live eight years ago in Oslo. Writing about that experience in National Review‚ I noted that I’d bought the tickets because I’d recently caught Carr on TV and found him to be “side-splitting … on pretty much every ticklish subject you can imagine” and because he “wasn’t remotely political.” Well‚ that sure changed in Oslo. Carr kicked off his act by criticizing Norway for not admitting enough Muslim “refugees” — a ridiculous charge‚ and definitely an odd way to start a stand-up act — and‚ unforgivably‚ mocked at length Norway’s courageous former minister of migration and integration‚ Sylvi Listhaug‚ even though he obviously knew nothing whatsoever about her‚ other than that most of the members of his hip young Oslo audience would be likely to applaud his mockery. He went on to ridicule Christianity; when someone in the balcony asked him to “make a joke about Islam‚” he seemed to be thrown off‚ and not until the end of his two hours did he mention the Religion of Peace‚ saying that his closing joke “would be a tribute to Charlie Hebdo.” But I didn’t get the joke. And I wasn’t alone. Still‚ I decided to give Carr’s new Netflix hour a shot. In appearance he’s the opposite of Attell: slim‚ trim‚ perfectly groomed‚ and always dressed in a natty suit and tie. But like Attell he’s got a rapid-fire delivery; his comedy is all one-liners‚ and he professes‚ as he always has‚ that he’s not scared to take on any topic. “People say‚ you can’t joke about anything these days‚” he announces when he steps onstage. “Watch me now.” As with Attell‚ what follows is a big letdown. He jokes about Americans’ love of guns‚ criticizes the Supreme Court’s ruling on abortion‚ and slams anti-vaxxers. He then asks his audience‚ “Shall we try some controversial jokes&;#63;” There ensue some lame gags about the Virgin Mary having sex with Joseph and a reference to the Vatican as a nest of pedophiles. (How original&;#33;) Yes‚ he takes on the subject of transgenderism‚ but only in the tamest of ways. Here’s one joke: “Transgender people aren’t what they used to be.” Yes‚ that’s the whole joke. Here’s another: “We’re having a gender reveal party for my kid‚ but we’re going to wait until he’s 21 because we want to be sure.” Repeatedly‚ Carr warns the audience to prepare for something extreme‚ only to say something pathetically tame. He actually admits that he can’t jape about Muhammad as he does about Jesus‚ because “I’m not an idiot.” And yet he dares to brag at the end of his show: “I tell edgy jokes.” No‚ you don’t‚ Jim boy. One comedian who is edgy is Kevin Brennan. He’ll joke about anything — and go after anybody. His inability to contain his anger — and he’s at his funniest when he’s losing his temper — has caused him more than a few career setbacks‚ hence the title of his short-lived podcast‚ Burning Bridges‚ on Anthony Cumia’s Compound Media. Brennan abused his boss‚ Cumia‚ on the air regularly‚ as if he were begging to be fired‚ but Cumia took it all in his stride; eventually‚ as if he was angry at Cumia for not firing him‚ Brennan walked away from the job. But he’s not only self-destructive — he’s hilarious. And he’s somebody whom Netflix would never touch with a 10-foot pole. But Kevin’s younger brother‚ Neal&;#63; Neal is also a comic. And he has a new Netflix special — because he’s his brother’s opposite. Appearing on the Triggernometry podcast early this year‚ Neal called himself a “disaffected liberal.” Disaffected&;#63; On Triggernometry‚ he accused Florida’s governor‚ Ron DeSantis‚ of banning books (host Konstantin Kisin‚ to his credit‚ corrected him on that one‚ firmly and immediately) and refused to admit that the late-night network hosts — Colbert‚ Kimmel‚ etc. — aren’t funny. And Neal’s latest Netflix offering&;#63; It includes jokes based on the following premises: People who turned down COVID vaccines are jerks; American cops are killing innocent black people in huge numbers; man-made climate change is a serious issue. Neal says Donald Trump was “found guilty of rape” and parrots the libelous untruths told about Woody Allen in the rubbish documentary Allen v. Farrow (2021). Neal brings up the topic of self-identified trans people — as if he’s on the verge of actually being irreverent — only to say‚ “I don’t really think about them that much.” Does this mean he’s an anti-trans bigot&;#63; “No‚” he quips‚ “just busy.” That’s supposed to be a laugh line. On the comedy spectrum‚ in short‚ Neal’s bland‚ toothless material is as far as possible from his brother Kevin’s. The rest of the new stand-up shows on Netflix are pretty slim pickings. Trevor Noah‚ fired as Daily Show host a while back for bleeding viewers‚ is nonetheless somehow still filling arenas. He spends much of his recent Netflix special‚ Where Was I‚ bashing America and making endless snotty generalizations about white people. (Imagine a white comedian doing the same about blacks.) By the way‚ Noah is from South Africa. Has he ever mentioned the systematic anti-white violence there&;#63; I doubt it. The only really amusing bits in Where Was I are about the frustrations of dealing with French salespeople. On the other hand‚ Noah loves Germany because it doesn’t “bury its history‚” unlike‚ in his view‚ the U.S. To listen to him‚ you’d think Americans have never been told about Jim Crow. Oh‚ and he‚ too‚ goes after DeSantis‚ claiming that the Florida governor has banned schoolbooks that mention slavery. At least I’ve heard of Trevor Noah. That distinguishes him from a lot of the other comics with new specials on Netflix. Who on earth are these people&;#63; How can they possibly be filling large theaters&;#63; Where do they find these audiences who laugh hysterically at a line like: “I’ve put on weight”&;#63; One of these mystery superstars is Taylor Tomlinson‚ whose new Netflix special‚ consisting largely of sorority-girl whimsy about dating‚ is her third. Then there’s Fortune Feimster‚ who’s intermittently comical in the manner of some fellow guest at a dinner party who unloads at length about growing up as a fat kid and budding lesbian in small-town North Carolina. It’s charming and sweet‚ but not exactly side-splitting. The climax of her act is this applause line: “The best gift that you can give your kids is to accept them for who they are.” True or not‚ what does this Hallmark-card sentiment have to do with what we used to call comedy&;#63; Watching Feimster‚ I was reminded a bit of Roseanne Barr‚ another plus-sized chick with a tough backstory who‚ when she started out as a stand-up in the 1980s‚ was an absolute riot‚ absolutely allergic to Hallmark-card apothegms. What’s happened since then&;#63; How can audiences today be going crazy over these (at best) mildly droll stand-ups&;#63; Have they never experienced anything genuinely funny&;#63; Given what SNL‚ the late-night network talk shows‚ and the rest of the mainstream media are serving up these days‚ I guess not. Conservatives Are on a Mission From God

Joe Biden is at his lowest point in popular approval as reported by Gallup. In fact‚ the numbers show that of the last nine presidents‚ he is the one with the lowest approval rating. That would explain why the Left is basing its entire election campaign on preventing Donald Trump from being able to run.  READ MORE from Itxu D&;iacute;az: Christianity Is Simply More Fun If the Left’s political strategy had any sense‚ it would look to its own ranks and seek out a more suitable candidate to lead the party. But when looking in the rearview mirror‚ all leftists see is Kamala Harris‚ whose popularity rating is about the same as that of the swine flu virus.  To top it off‚ Trump continues to insist that if he were president of the United States‚ half the conflicts that have plagued the world in recent times would simply not exist. He is right. From the Iranian offensive to Vladimir Putin’s madness‚ almost everything that has happened is the result of having a guy in the White House who can barely remember his own name‚ lacks a political agenda‚ is ignorant of the world of ideas‚ and bases all his political success on the same virtue that cork has: buoyancy.  Biden has been floating since he started. He floats when everything around him is tumbling; he floats and gives the impression‚ in photographs‚ that he knows what he is doing. He floats and makes others believe that Biden is a real leader when the truth is that he is nothing more than a photograph‚ a zombie in makeup‚ and a bunch of advisers writing more or less inspired speeches that‚ in any case‚ he will spoil by trying to recite without making any mistakes. Trump is the opposite. He has clear ideas‚ he has the ability to lead‚ and‚ although he sometimes performs erratically in front of the media‚ when all is said and done‚ he has the virtue of honoring his word. Trump is not fooling anyone. Trump would not have made a false withdrawal from Afghanistan‚ as Biden did. Trump would get Putin to think more than once about what he did in Ukraine. Trump would not be happy with inflation‚ nor would he waste his energy trying to convince the middle classes that rising prices are just a mirage‚ as the official White House spokesman Paul Krugman does every day‚ shattering what little prestige he had left as an economist. The Democrats are at a dead end. That makes them more dangerous. Every time the Left feels cornered‚ it puts on a show‚ fills the streets with violence‚ or tries a big campaign of mass manipulation. My prediction is that in the coming months‚ we will see all of these things at once.  The big question is what we conservatives can do about the coming dirty war. The first thing we should do in the face of this dirty war is the same thing we do in the face of anything that is dirty at home: clean up. It is true that much of the media is in the hands of the Left‚ but we still have a handful of magazines and newspapers that have a wide readership and reach an influential audience — The American Spectator is one of the best examples. We have a moral obligation to dismantle their lies‚ a moral obligation to defend ourselves with the same intensity with which we are attacked; and we also have a moral obligation not to lose patience when everything looks as bad as it can get.  And‚ finally‚ despite the fact that the Left is trying to muddy the waters and base its campaign on the fear of Trump — in case it fails to put him in jail‚ which is what it would prefer — we have to remember that while that battle is important‚ we are all about ideas‚ and that’s what we should insist on: you know‚ freedom‚ low taxes‚ spending restraint‚ promoting family and high birth rates‚ an end to environmental ruin‚ world leadership‚ moral superiority of the Christian West‚ and total hostility to dictatorships‚ whether Bolivarian or Islamist.  One of the funniest moments in the Blues Brothers movie is when John Belushi says‚ “We’re on a mission from God.” In a way‚ at this dark hour of the 21st century — and not wanting to seem pompous — we‚ too‚ are on a mission from God.
