Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social late Monday night to comment on his debate against President Joe Biden, saying Biden’s disastrous performance has put “a BIG GAP” between the two candidates. Trump also highlighted the president’s mental struggles, which were evident throughout the debate, an issue for Biden that led to commentators from legacy media outlets and other pundits calling on him to drop out of the race. Trump was widely viewed as the winner of Thursday night’s CNN debate in Atlanta as much of the post-debate discussion focused on questions surrounding Biden’s fitness. “Biden’s Debate performance was rated poor, with an arrow pointing left. That means it was Less than Poor,” Trump wrote. “Mine was rated, ‘the best in the history of Presidential Debates.’ In other words, there is a BIG GAP for Crooked Joe to make up, and with his mind and memory completely shot, and marbles in his mouth, it’s not going to happen!” Biden discussed the future of his re-election campaign with his family at Camp David on Sunday, and family members urged him to stay in the race, sources told The New York Times. According to reports, Biden’s wife, Jill, and his son Hunter, who was recently convicted of gun crimes, ardently pushed the president to stay in the race.
